Blue Long Sleeved Dresses With Pink Mini MAC Bag

Making the most of warmer weekends back in Autumn and wearing two pretty blue dresses with a little pink bag for some birthday parties!

What I wore:

EarringsMimco silver stud earrings
Necklace: custom Cooper charm by Silhoupette
DressJaase Celine autumn leaves mini dress
ShoesAtmos&Here tan Lola leather ankle boots
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff mini MAC redyed with Angelus hot pink leather paint

Why I wore it:

This was such a fun day! We had a family birthday to celebrate, so I wanted to wear this pretty Jaase autumn leaves print dress again. While it was a cooler morning, with the ankle boots and the longer sleeves on the dress I felt fine wearing this and going bare-legged. It was so good to spend time with family!

We also took the opportunity to stop by the shelter we adopted Cooper from to do a meet and greet with a little puppy we'd fallen in love with online. She and Cooper seemed friendly, so this is what I was wearing when we adopted Bonnie. The ankle boots were a good choice and very practical for running around in the meet and greet yard with the dogs.

Last wornMimco earrings, silhouette necklace, tan ankle boots, Jaase dress, Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC.

What I wore:

EarringsMichael Hill stud earrings with aqua cubic zirconia in sterling silver
Necklace: Colette crescent purple and gold necklace
DressTarget puff sleeve tiered denim dress
Shoesthrifted white leather Chuck Taylor All Star Converse sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff mini MAC redyed with Angelus hot pink leather paint

Why I wore it:

Another birthday party day, this one was a little cooler so I was grateful for the thicker denim fabric on this tiered dress. It kept me nice and cosy as I caught up with my friends at a bowling party, the kids were very entertained with playing a couple rounds of bowling and then enjoying the arcade before having some delicious cake!

Because the denim fabric on this dress kept me warm and we were indoors for the party anyway, I just went with comfortable Converse sneakers. not as cosy as ankle boots, but perfect for this day.

I added a little more colour with the magenta crescent necklace and again my little redyed pink Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC bag. I really like this pink bag with different shades of blue!

Yellow Tees and Navy Pencil Skirts With Love Too Bag

I felt that a lot of my office outfits had been neutrals recently, so decided to add a little more colour and a bit less black but wearing both of these blue textured pencil skirts with cheerful yellow tees!

What I wore:

Jacket: thrifted Jeanswest cobalt blue blazer
Necklace: Kmart gold and navy beaded necklace
TeeCotton On The One fitted v tee in washed summer mango
SkirtWarehouse navy jacquard pencil skirt
Shoes: RMK Chester black ankle boots
Bracelets: the usual plus House of Harlow sunburst wrap bracelet in cobalt
BagRebecca Minkoff Love Too in deep teal croc embossed leather

Why I wore it:

It was a chilly start to the morning - autumn is truly starting to show up in Brisbane, with winter just a couple of weeks away! So I needed to add a blazer to this. I really like this mango yellow tee with the navy jacquard pencil skirt, and the deep teal Rebecca Minkoff Love Too bag. Blue and yellow look good together in any shade combination.

The black ankle boots were good for extra warmth and a little bit of matchy-matchy with the black jacquard wave on the pencil skirt. So with the cobalt blue blazer on top I added the little cobalt wrap bracelet too for more matchy-matchy. I really liked this outfit! Good for a cold autumn commute to the office.

Last worn: cobalt blazer, mango tee, navy beaded necklace, cobalt wrap bracelet, jacquard pencil skirt, black ankle boots, Rebecca Minkoff Love Too bag.

Other ways to wearcobalt blazer and jeans, mango tee, jacquard pencil skirt and pinkankle boots worn 30 ways, Rebecca Minkoff Love Too bag and jeans.

What I wore:

Necklace: thrifted blue statement beaded necklace
Tee: Big W mustard v-neck tee
SkirtAsos blue textured lace pencil skirt
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star coast blue
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff MAB Camera Bag in almond

Why I wore it:

It was a quite office day without too many team members in, so I got away with a simple tee and pencil skirt outfit without having to make it more formal with a blazer on top. I probably should have added a blazer to this as well though, it was a little cooler in the morning than I expected! Luckily it had warmed up enough in the afternoon for the commute home.

This navy lace pencil skirt is a firm favourite and one I've already hit 30 wears with some time ago. I liked the bright mustard yellow tee with it, and added another shade of blue with the Converse sneakers and navy beaded necklace. I decided to wear a neutral bag with this, with the tee being bright enough. this little Rebecca Minkoff MAB camera bag goes with everything.

Last worn: mustard yellow tee, blue beaded necklace, blue lace pencil skirt, blue Converse, Rebecca Minkoff MAB camera bag.

Other ways to wearmustard yellow tee and maxi skirtblue lace pencil skirt worn 30 ways, blue Converse and shorts, Rebecca Minkoff MAB camera bag and jeans.

Magnificent 8 In Pantone Colour Of The Year Peach Fuzz

For this quarter's Magnificent 8 collaboration post, we picked the theme of Peach Fuzz! It's the Pantone colour of the year for 2024. And like most of the colours from previous years, I have a couple of pieces already in my wardrobe that could allow me to embrace the trend without buying anything new.

What I wore:

Necklace: thrifted Equip gold and marble station necklace
Dress: thrifted peach and white floral print tiered sundress
Shoes: thrifted white leather All Star Converse sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff chevron quilted small Love crossbody bag in pale coral

Why I wore it:

Wore this for a busy day with the school run, an appointment for my son, and working from home. While it was autumn, it was still pretty hot so I needed something light and quick to wear, this dress was perfect. It isn't completely matching the peach fuzz colour of the year, but it certainly has tones of that peach in the print.

And since I had the colour in mind for this post I went all out and paired the peach palm print dress with the small Rebecca Minkoff Love bag in peachy pale coral. I wouldn't have paired the dress and bag together without the prompt of this collaboration post, but I'm glad I did wear them together as I really liked the combination! Was great to give this thrifted dress another wear before the autumn weather really arrives in Brisbane too.

Last worn: tiered palm print dress, thrifted station necklace, Rebecca Minkoff small Love bag. First time I've worn the Converse as they are a recent opshop find.

Other ways to weartiered palm print dress and denim jacket, Rebecca Minkoff small Love bag and jeans.

What I wore:

Necklace: Ruby Olive Art series long striped pod necklace
Dress: Kmart short sleeve tiered frill mini dress in Papaya
Shoes: thrifted white leather All Star Converse sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff chevron quilted small Love crossbody bag in pale coral

Why I wore it:

Wore this for weekend swim lessons and then an overdue catch up with my friend at her place. It was predicted to be cooler day than the one above, so I thought I'd wear ankle boots with this linen dress. The rain held off until later in the evening though so I went with the same leather Converse again.

And once more I wore the peach small Rebecca Minkoff Love bag. I liked the combination with the yellow. Again, it was this post that gave me the idea of pairing the dress and bag together, I'd never thought of wearing the two together before. But knowing I was going to feature this peach bag in the post as it so perfectly meets the theme, and seeing this dress in my wardrobe, I wanted to give them a try. Loved this combination also!

Last worn: tiered linen dress, Ruby Olive necklace, leather Converse (above), Rebecca Minkoff small love bag (above).

Other ways to weartiered linen dress and blue bag, Rebecca Minkoff small love bag and maxi dress.

30 Ways To Wear: Navy Tile Print Boho Dress From Jeanswest

I purchased this dress in 2014 and it quickly became a favourite, so I'm surprised it's taken me 10 years to hit 31 wears with it! It is a super cute dress, and certainly should have hit 30 wears sooner! It's good to finally get to that goal and put this post together for it.

30 Ways to Wear: Jeanswest Boho Navy Tile Print Dress

Cost Per Wear

I bought this dress back in the pre-Christmas sales at the end of 2014. It was an impulse buy from Jeanswest. Sadly I didn't note down all my purchases back then, so while I know it was on sale and had an extra 40% off, I'm not sure how much I paid for it to calculate cost of wear. I still think I got my money's worth from this dress though! I got 31 wears from it over the years and it still looks good as new.

I love the blue tile print, the relaxed style and the peasant top with the tassels and the cute crochet detail. With blue being my favourite colour and something that works so well in my wardrobe, I've worn this dress in quite a few different ways over the years. Even if there were some years it didn't get worn at all as it wasn't the best dress for breastfeeding in!

While tying the tassels on the top or leaving them untied alters the neckline of the dress to change the look slightly, there are a few other things I've worn this dress with to make it a little different each time. Here are 30 of the different ways I've worn it:

Belting A Printed Dress

The easiest way to change up any dress, especially one with a defined elasticated dress like this one, is to belt it! I used this trick in pregnancy as you can see in the middle there to hold the dress in place over the baby bump.

Printed Dress With Boots

Tall boots work well with this above the knee dress, but ankle boots are definitely my favourite with the dress! The tassels and boho tile print make ankle boots something I frequently reach for when I'm wearing this dress, and makes it work into spring and autumn.

Boho Dress With Sneakers Outfits

Of course you can easily dress this down with a pair of sneakers too! While the boots above are a favourite pairing, I wear a lot of Converse with this dress, and I haven't found a pair of sneakers yet that don't work with it to create a casual outfit.

Layered Printed Dress Outfits

This dress has 3/4 sleeves but it is a light viscose so it needs a little extra layering in cooler weather. A denim jacket is an easy choice with a printed dress for spring or autumn. Another layering formula I've tried is making this dress more formal for the office by adding a blazer.

Boho Summer Dress In Winter

This is a lovely navy print dress and despite the longer sleeves, works so well in summer with the light viscose fabric. I find that it layers nicely in winter as well though! Adding a slip underneath, a cosy leather jacket, fleece lined tights or tall boots, even a scarf, and it works well for the milder snow-free Brisbane winters.

Navy Tile Print Dress With Pops Of Colour

I am a big fan of adding extra colour to an outfit with accessories, and this printed dress is no exception! In this set of photos, and in others in the post, you'll see I love a bright bag against the navy print. Anything works! From greens to oranges, or even a pink and purple necklace like in the second photo.

Blue Bag And Navy Printed Dress Outfits

Blue is my favourite colour so if I'm already wearing one shade of blue I'll happily reach for another to compliment it! With this navy dress, I've worn a few blue bags over the years. Anything from a storm blue to a periwinkle blue, and of course navy, blue bags look great with the navy print.

Red Bags With Navy Tile Print Dress

A red bag is a fin pop of colour and as you can see from these 3 red bag outfits here they really make a statement with the navy tile print! Just like the other colour combinations I've shared above, there's something about navy and red that always looks good.

Navy Printed Dress With Pink Bags

Saving the best for last - blue and pink! Just like the other accessory combinations I've shared, with the navy print, any shade of pink from a light pastel to a bold fuchsia works nicely with this dress. While I do love a little crossbody bag with this simple summer dress, a big bold pink bag like the Balenciaga ones in the first and last photos looks good too.

Pink Tiered Dresses And Stella McCartney Falabella Bag

Wearing two pretty pink tiered midi dresses, for two different events lately. One more formal the other more casual. Wearing my recently thrifted Stella McCartney Falabella bag with both dresses too, black and pink always work!

What I wore:

Earrings: silver spiral earrings
Necklace: engraved interlinked silver circle family name necklace
Dress: Orange Sherbet Zoe tiered dress in geranium print pink
Shoes: RMK Chester black ankle boots
Bracelets: the usual plus vintage charm bracelet
Bagthrifted Stella McCartney Falabella fold-over tote in midnight black

Why I wore it:

It was a day threatening to storm and rain so I added little black ankle boots to this pink and red floral print Orange Sherbet tiered midi dress. I picked it up at the preloved fashion markets this year and I'm so glad I did, I love it! With the black boots, the black Stella McCartney Falabella seemed like a good matchy-matchy choice, and it also had plenty of room for my essentials, some snacks, and my camera. We had an awards ceremony to attend for my son. I'm being vague for privacy reasons, but it was a very fancy ceremony and I'm very proud of him! It was so good to see his joy as he was celebrated in front of so many people.

Last worn: silver necklace, Orange Sherbet dress, black ankle boots, Stella McCartney Falabella.

What I wore:

Necklace: thrifted purple wooden bead statement necklace
Dress: Kmart short sleeve tiered jersey dress in Fuchsia
Shoesslim navy and pink Havaianas
Bracelets: the usual
Bagthrifted Stella McCartney Falabella fold-over tote in midnight black

Why I wore it:

Another pink tiered midi dress, again with my Stella McCartney Falabella bag. I love this bag as it works with everything! Wore this for a much more casual event, a kids birthday party. It was a lot of fun, but such a hot day. I was very thankful for this dress which catches the breeze so nicely, and the tiered loose style makes it comfortable in the heat. I did try dress it up a little with the matchy-matchy purple necklace and statement earrings, but still wore my comfortable Havaianas as it was just a nice relaxed party with friends. My kids kept talking about how it was the best party ever, they had a blast!

Printed Dresses and Blazers And LV Neverfull | Weekday Wear Link Up

For today's Weekday Wear Link Up I'm sharing two printed dresses and blazer outfits that I wore to the office recently.

What I wore:

Earrings: Piper gold heart earrings
Jacket
Jeanswest grey jersey blazer
Necklace: personalised gold children's names charm necklace
DressJaase Celine autumn leaves mini dress
ShoesAtmos&Here tan Lola leather ankle boots
Bracelets: the usual
BagLouis Vuitton MM damier azur Neverfull

Why I wore it:

I wouldn't have normally have reached for this dress for a day in the office - it is a little casual, but I felt the ankle boots and the grey blazer dressed it up enough for a quiet day. And I wanted something that would be suitable for a day at work and an evening out, as after work I headed out to a graduation evening for a family member. Needed the big Louis Vuitton Neverfull to pack with everything for the day and the evening. It was so much fun, although a very late night for the kids, it was so good to celebrate the graduation.

I think this blazer was the perfect topper over this dress to make it more office-ready. The longer length was really good with the ruffle hem of the dress.

Last worn: heart studs, grey jersey blazer, charm necklace, Jaase dress, ankle boots, Louis Vuitton Neverfull.

Other ways to weargrey jersey blazer and jeans, Jaase dress and denim jacket, ankle boots and midi dressLouis Vuitton MM Neverfull worn 30 ways.

Perfect for pregnancyLouis Vuitton Neverfull at 38 weeks.

What I wore:

Jacket: thrifted Valleygirl navy jersey blazer
NecklaceTiffany & Co pink double heart tag pendant necklace
Dress: Kmart teal floral print midi dress
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star coast blue
Bracelets: the usual
BagLouis Vuitton MM damier azur Neverfull

Why I wore it:

This dress, unlike the one above, has been worn to the office many times. It's such a good office dress as it's super comfortable and the teal colour goes with all my blazers. I liked this navy blazer with the teal background of the dress, and how the white gingham on the cuffs matched the white in the floral print. Needed comfortable shoes after aggravating my knee injury the prior weekend, so went with these blue Converse. I think the different shades of blue with the blazer, dress, Chucks and damier Azur print of the Neverfull all worked well together.

Last worn: navy blazer, Tiffany heart necklace, Kmart teal floral midi dress, blue Converse, Louis Vuitton Neverfull (above).

Leather Jackets And Dresses

Making these two dresses suitable for winter temperatures with the black leather jacket I recently bought at Gladrags Markets. The first outfit, I wore this month and could go bare legged, the second I wore back in July when it was a lot colder and fleece lined tights were a must!

What I wore:

Target puff sleeve tiered denim dress, leather jacket and skull scarf | awayfromblue

thrifted Rebecca Minkoff vintage Cupid satchel in dark navy blue

JacketWitchery black belted moto leather jacket
ScarfAlexander McQueen magenta skull scarf in roses print
Earrings: blue and yellow daisy resin earrings
DressTarget puff sleeve tiered denim dress
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star coast blue
Bagthrifted Rebecca Minkoff vintage Cupid satchel in dark navy blue

Why I wore it:

This was a fun day! Spent some time with my mum and sister in the morning, getting haircuts (just a trim for me, as I'm still desperately trying to grow my hair out to donate again) and doing some dress shopping for an upcoming event.

Unfortunately the traffic coming back from up the coast made me a little late for dinner with some mum friends in the evening. I wasn't sure how long I'd be down the coast for so dressed for both things in case I didn't have time to change, thankfully. I didn't need the leather jacket for most of the day but I was so grateful for it at night, as it and the skull scarf kept me warm.

Last worn: black leather jacket, skull scarf, earrings, tiered denim dress, blue Converse, Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag.

Other ways to wearblack leather jacket and skirt, skull scarf and stripes, tiered denim dress and red, blue Converse and jeans, Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag in the office.

Perfect for pregnancy: skull scarf in third trimester.

Necklace: Tiffany & Co silver 5th Avenue notes heart pendant necklace
Dress: thrifted no label pastel floral print babydoll dress
Shoes: RMK Chester black ankle boots
Bagthrifted Rebecca Minkoff vintage Cupid satchel in dark navy blue

Why I wore it:

A super cold morning meant layering up this little light pastel floral print viscose babydoll dress a bit for the school run and some errands. With the black fleece lined tights, black ankle boots and the black leather jacket and dark navy Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag, I feel the pretty pastel floral print on this dress stands out really well. I added a little bit of matching with the floral print with my daisy earrings, although the colours are completely different I liked the additional florals against all the dark black.

Pink and Blazers For The Office | Weekday Wear Link Up

My office wear posts will start to become a regular fixture now I'm increasing the number of days I'm in the office! Still trying a few different outfit formulas for work, it's a strange mix at the moment in terms of what people are wearing. I feel I have even more flexibility than I did with the already very casual business casual dress code before 2020! Adding a blazer to these outfits made them feel perfect for a day at my desk.

What I wore:

JacketJeanswest grey jersey blazer
NecklaceTiffany diamonds by the yard necklace
Dress: thrifted no label pastel floral print babydoll dress
ShoesAsos Cleo leather boots in tan
Bracelets: the usual
Bagthrifted Rebecca Minkoff vintage Cupid satchel in dark navy blue

Why I wore it:

I could not resist this $1 dress on the rack at the opshop - such a cute pastel pink and peach floral print! It doesn't have a brand label so not sure where it was made, but it is a beautiful light viscose and I know it will get a lot of wear, especially in the warmer months. I made it more suitable for a winter office commute with a slip underneath, fleece-lined tights, tall boots and as it was a warmer morning, just a blazer over the top. I felt it helped make this casual baby doll floral dress more office ready.

Buttoning it all the way up and tying the neck tie helped make the dress look a little less casual too.

Last worn: grey blazer, Tiffany necklace, tan leather boots, Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag. First time I've worn the dress as it was a recent purchase.

Other ways to weargrey blazer and jeanstan leather boots worn 30 ways, Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag and leopard print.

What I wore:

Jacket: thrifted Valleygirl navy jersey blazer
Necklace: thrifted flat navy statement bead necklace
TeeCle The Label Charlotte tee in ombre rose (new purchase)
SkirtWarehouse navy jacquard pencil skirt
Shoes: RMK Chester black ankle boots
Bracelets: the usual
Bagthrifted Rebecca Minkoff vintage Cupid satchel in dark navy blue

Why I wore it:

Another newly purchased pink piece worn to the office! It was a good first wearing of this tee, it's very comfortable. I thought that with the navy background on this jacquard pencil skirt that the navy blazer was the perfect match, although with the black fleece lined tights and black ankle boots, with the dark navy Cupid bag as well it made for a really dull outfit. The pink ombre tee brightened it up nicely, especially after I added to the matchy-matchy neutrals of this outfit with the navy beaded necklace too.

Pencil skirts used to be such a staple of my office style, but I haven't really been wearing them too much lately. I think they might get more wear when spring weather arrives, but I've already been looking at the pencil skirts in my wardrobe and considering downsizing.

Last worn: navy blazer, navy flat beaded necklace, jacquard pencil skirt, black ankle boots, Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag (above). First time I've worn the ombre tee as it's a recent purchase.
