Peach Floral Dresses, Anko Denim Trench, Converse and Chloe Ethel Bag

Wearing my Kmart denim trench coat yet again, with two very similar peachy-pastel print floral dresses, Converse and my Chloe Ethel bag. I do love repeating a good outfit formula!

What I wore:

Jacket: Kmart Anko full length oversized denim trench coat
EarringsColette white pearl beaded gum leaf tassel earrings
DressJaase Semika mini smock dress in amor print mandarin dollar dress
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star in hot tea
BagChloe small Ethel bag in light khaki

Why I wore it:

This was a bit of a busy day! Cooper had the vets in the morning, then I had a fun art class with friends, and used my mother's day gift to treat myself to a pamper session in the evening. So busy, but fun! It was a rainy start to the day so I did wonder if I should have worn boots instead of Converse, but thankfully the rain dried up quickly and it was really warm when the sun came out. I didn't even need my trench coat by lunch time. the long sleeves on this dress helped.

This was a great first wearing of this beautiful Jasse dress I picked up in the latest Salty Crush sale - it got a lot of compliments in art class and I thankfully avoided getting it dirty with the materials! It was such a delight to wear, and I'm so pleased I bought this dress, even if it does look a little similar to the dress I'm wearing below.

Last worn: denim trench coat, brown Converse, Chloe Ethel bag. It's the first time I've shared the earrings on the blog and Jaase dress on the blog as they are recent purchases.

Other ways to weardenim trench coat and black dress, brown Converse and jeans, Chloe Ethel bag and skirt.

What I wore:

Jacket: Kmart Anko full length oversized denim trench coat
Earrings: Colette blue mixed shape faux crustal drop earrings
Dress: thrifted no label pastel floral print babydoll dress
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star coast blue
BagChloe small Ethel bag in light khaki

Why I wore it:

Unlike the dress above that was an online sale purchase, this peachy pastel print floral dress is an opshop find! it's a lot cheaper, at just $1, and a slightly different set of colours and a babydoll waist style with much fewer buttons. I still think that when posted side by side like this in almost identical layers with this denim trench, the two dresses look every similar. I think there is certainly room for both in my wardrobe though!

This was a busy but less fun day, with another vet visit for Cooper, the school run, a couple of errands, and working from home. I knotted the tassel on this dress at the neckline as with the blue statement earrings I couldn't decide on a necklace. I like the way this dress looks tied up too, I'll need to try that with the tassels on the dress above also one day.

Last worn: crystal earrings, denim trench coat (above), floral babydoll dress, blue Converse, Chloe Ethel bag (above).

Other ways to weardenim trench coat and midi dress, floral babydoll dress and leather jacket, blue Converse and jeans, Chloe Ethel bag and shorts.

Maxi Skirts, Denim Jackets and Chloe Bags

Two plain tee and maxi skirt outfits, topped with denim jackets and accessorised with Chloe bags.

What I wore:

Jacket: Anko Kmart mid wash denim jacket
Earrings: neutral clay disc earrings
Necklace: double circle hammered pendant necklace
TeeAnko Kmart short sleeve slub v-neck tee in copper
Skirtthrifted Tree of Life ochre maxi skirt
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star in hot tea
BagChloe small Ethel bag in light khaki

Why I wore it:

Nice and colourful for working from home, with sports for the kids in the evenings. I like wearing maxi skirts as it is an extra cover on my legs from the inevitable mossie attack - no matter how much bug spray I cover myself in, ha!

This copper toned tee is really autumnal with the ochre orange maxi skirt. I like wearing this skirt with rust and red and burgundy shades, so I really loved this outfit. Especially with the brown Converse, gold statement necklace and the gold hardware on the Chloe Ethel bag. It all felt perfect for a cooler autumn day.

Surprisingly it's the first time I've shared this denim jacket on the blog, a Christmas gift from the annual pre-Christmas opshopping day. It's a nice relaxed fit and will be perfect for layering under when the winter weather arrives here shortly in Brisbane.

Last wornclay earrings, copper tee, circle necklace, ochre maxi skirt, brown Converse, Chloe Ethel bag. First time I've worn the denim jacket as it was a Christmas present.

Other ways to wearcopper tee and skirt, ochre maxi skirt and knit, brown Converse and animal print, Chloe Ethel bag and dress.

What I wore:

Jacket: Jeanswest Kitty denim biker jacket
EarringsMichael Hill stud earrings with aqua cubic zirconia in sterling silver
Necklace: thrifted rose gold station statement necklace
Tee: thrifted Cotton on grey tunic tee
Skirt: Jeanswest Farrah blue tie dye maxi skirt
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star coast blue
BagChloe Marcie medium shoulder bag in nut

Why I wore it:

This was a mixed day, with the Anzac parade and ceremony in the morning (my boys were marching in the parade) and then a playdate for my son in the afternoon. Despite the rainy weather it wasn't too cold so I went for this maxi skirt to be neither over or underdressed for either occasion. I like the tie dye print on the skirt, although it's the first time I've worn this grey tee with it! I like pairing it with greys and neutrals so it was nice to give this combination a try.

I went with my Chloe Marcie bag to store all our water bottles plus the essentials, and then I chose this rose gold necklace. It's definitely not the true gold shade of the hardware on the Chloe Marcie bag, but I like pairing different metals together, and thought this was a good accessory pair.

Last worn: stud earrings, denim jacket, rose gold necklace, grey tee, tie dye maxi skirt, blue Converse, Chloe Marcie bag.

Other ways to weardenim jacket and dress, grey tee and jeans, tie dye maxi skirt and knit, blue Converse and shorts, Chloe Marcie bag and jeans.

Green Camis and Bright Blazers With Converse

Two green toned camis for office days, with bright blazers over the top to add even more colour.

What I wore:

Jacket: thrifted Jeanswest cobalt blue blazer
Earrings: neutral clay disc earrings
Necklace: thrifted gold large double circle necklace
Top: H&M mint v-neck cami
SkirtAsos tailored tab front pencil skirt in grey
Shoesthrifted white leather Chuck Taylor All Star Converse sneakers
BagRebecca Minkoff Love Too in deep teal croc embossed leather

Why I wore it:

I really like blue and green together, but this is the first time I've worn this mint cami with the bright cobalt blazer. It was such a fun combination! I picked the grey pencil skirt to wear as I haven't worn it for a while. It used to be an office staple before 2020, but things are a lot more casual and relaxed in the office now, and so I was debating if I even still needed it in my wardrobe or if it's too corporate. I'm so glad that I gave it another wear, pleased that it fit, and it can come back into my office rotation, it's such a good basic!

Paired with casual Converse because they are my go-to shoe lately, along with the deep teal Rebecca Minkoff Love Too bag. While it's been worn more recently than the pencil skirt, it was still overdue a wear. Like the skirt, the bag also needs to be worn more often!

Last worn: cobalt blazer, mint cami, gold circle necklace, clay earrings, grey pencil skirt, white Converse, Rebecca Minkoff Love Too bag.

Other ways to wearcobalt blazer and dress, mint cami and shorts, grey pencil skirt in winter, white Converse and dress, Rebecca Minkoff Love Too bag and jeans.

Perfect for pregnancypencil skirt in second trimester.

What I wore:

Jacket: Glassons orange jersey blazer
Earrings: Piper gold heart earrings
Necklace: thrifted bronze foil statement necklace
Cami: thrifted Cotton On pale olive cami
Jeans: thrifted Jeanswest faded black cropped butt lifter jeans
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star in hot tea
BagChloe small Ethel bag in light khaki

Why I wore it:

This was a much cooler and wetter day than the day above, so it called for jeans! I love dressing up jeans with a blazer in the office. And with the black jeans and the light olive cami it was a bit of a neutral outfit, especially with the brown Converse and the pale Chloe Ethel bag. I think the bright orange blazer was the perfect pop of colour with this outfit!

The blazer dressed up the jeans, covered up the spaghetti straps of the cami and kept me warm on the cold and wet commute.

Tonal Denim Skirt Outfits With Printed Cover Ups

Taking inspiration from the colours in these printed cover ups to create some similarly tonal coloured denim skirt and tee outfits to wear with them.

What I wore:

JacketThe Kindness Kimono 'Dream Catch Me' print
Earrings: mini glitter gingerbread earrings
Necklace: thrifted bronze foil statement necklace
TeeCotton On The One fitted v tee in washed red clay
SkirtNobody Denim Piper vacation skirt in black distressed denim
ShoesLes Tropeziennes Par M.Belarbi leopard print and gold leather sandals
Bracelets: the usual
BagChloe small Ethel bag in light khaki

Why I wore it:

Felt I hadn't worn this cover up in a while so got it out again for a busy day, working from home with the school run, a couple of errands, and a trip to the vets for Cooper. I like the print in this cover up, and it's not the first time I've worn it with this tee and skirt combination. While the print is orange and red, I like the pairing with the rust tee, it's a nice group of colours. Last time I wore these pieces together I wore a red bag and Converse, this time around I picked out the yellow and khakis in the print and wore my light khaki small Chloe Ethel bag. I needed a big bag for everything I had to carry around for the day, and this bag holds a lot more than you would think!

Because I wore this back at the start of December, I wore my mini gingerbread earrings again. I liked how the brown glitters tied in with the tonal colours in this outfit.

Last worn: mini gingerbread earrings, printed cover up, bronze foil necklace, rust tee, Nobody Denim skirt, leopard print sandals, Chloe small Ethel bag.

Other ways to wearprinted cover up and dress, rust tee and printed shorts, Nobody Denim skirt and sequins, leopard print sandals and dress, Chloe small Ethel bag and midi skirt.

What I wore:

Jacket: Jeanswest Jamie printed kimono
Earrings: gold Christmas present bow hoops
NecklaceZuriCollections blue polymer clay necklace
TeeCotton On The One fitted v tee in washed poolside blue
Skirt: JayJays distressed denim mini skirt
Shoesthrifted white leather Chuck Taylor All Star Converse sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff Micro Bedford zip satchel in twilight

Why I wore it:

Since I liked the outfit above so much, I decided to wear another similar tonal style outfit with the blue denim mini skirt, blue tee, navy bag and blue printed cover up. This was another school run and work from home day, with an appointment for my son in the morning and then a pool playdate in the afternoon. I was tempted to wear my blue Converse with this, but thought it may be a little too much blue, so I went with the white Converse instead, to match the white in the busy tile print of the cover up.

While I really liked all of the blue tones in this outfit I did regret the choice of cover up a little. This is a polyester one and it was such a hot and humid day. I ended up sitting on the edge of the pool and dipping my legs in to keep cool in the afternoon (only the kids had their swimmers) as it was just much too hot to wear polyester. I got splashed quite a few times by the kids playing and jumping in the pool, but honestly I didn't mind, it helped me cool down!

Last worn: earringsblue tile print cover up, blue beaded necklace, pastel blue tee, denim mini skirt, white Converse, Rebecca Minkoff Bedford bag.

Other ways to wearblue tile print cover up and stripes, pastel blue tee and shorts, denim mini skirt and leopard print, white Converse and dress, Rebecca Minkoff Bedford bag and jeans.

Linen Tiered Dresses and Chloe Ethel Bag

For warmer spring days, two colourful tiered linen dresses are great for the heat! I've worn both these dresses with my little Chloe Ethel bag.

What I wore:

Necklace: thrifted wooden yellow tassel necklace
DressJeanswest Lilah tiered linen dress in orange
ShoesLes Tropeziennes Par M.Belarbi leopard print and gold leather sandals
Bracelets: the usual
BagChloe small Ethel bag in light khaki

Why I wore it:

This light and bright orange tiered linen dress was perfect for a very hot and humid Sunday! It was pretty enough for church but cool enough for running a couple of quick errands afterwards too. There were puppy cuddles on at our local shopping centre so we got to spend a while playing with and cuddling with the puppies, it was the best. The boys really enjoyed it!

With this orange dress I liked the caramel toned Chloe Ethel against it. The official colour is light khaki but it looks a lot deeper to me. I really like the shade anyway. Added a little extra colour with the yellow tassel necklace. I loved this outfit.

Last worn: orange linen dress, yellow tassel necklace, leopard print sandals, Chloe Ethel bag.

Other ways to wearorange linen dress and tote bag, leopard print sandals, Chloe Ethel bag and skirt.

What I wore:

Earrings: neutral clay disc earrings
Necklace
: thrifted mint silicone statement necklace
DressKmart short sleeve tiered frill mini dress in Papaya
Shoes: thrifted Seed Heritage tan braided sandals
Bracelets: the usual
BagChloe small Ethel bag in light khaki

Why I wore it:

Not as fun a day as the one above, as I had to work from home between school drop off and pick up. Still a hot and humid spring day in Brisbane though, so again I chose a linen dress to wear. I like the brightness of this dress. While it's a very different shade from the orange dress above, again I wore the Chloe Ethel bag with it, and another pair of sandals. I thrifted these braided sandals a while back during cooler weather, and now it's warmed up they've been worn a lot so far this spring.

Last worn: clay earrings, yellow linen dress, beaded necklace, braided sandals, Chloe Ethel bag (avove).

Other ways to wearyellow linen dress and blue bag, braided sandals and jeans, Chloe Ethel bag and shorts.

Golden Tees and Black Skinny Jeans With Chloe Ethel Bag

Two outfits I wore recently with black skinny jeans, golden tees and printed cover ups with sandals and my Chloe Ethel bag.

What I wore:

Jacket: thrifted purple and red Paisley print duster
Earrings: Piper gold heart earrings
Necklace: thrifted red flat bead necklace
Tee: Just Jeans Jamie shirt tail v neck tee in coated champagne gold
Jeans: Jeanswest black skinny jeans with zipper detail
ShoesLes Tropeziennes Par M.Belarbi leopard print and gold leather sandals
Bracelets: the usual
BagChloe small Ethel bag in light khaki

Why I wore it:

Jeans and tee for working from home, with a brief step way from my desk for the school run and a couple of errands before school pick up in the afternoon. While the gold foil tee is enough of a statement on its own, I added the red necklace for a little more colour. I felt the red and purple print on the cover up wasn't showing up against the gold tee as much as I expected, and thought the matching red would help the red in the print stand out.

I really liked this outfit! With the gold tee this little Chloe Ethel bag seemed like a good choice with its statement gold hardware being a little matchy. I added another print with the leopard sandals, but I think it's so subtle just being on a single strap of the sandals that it works with all the rest of the statement pieces in my outfit.

Last worn: heart stud earrings, Paisley print duster, beaded necklace, gold linen tee, zip detail jeans, leopard print sandals, Chloe Ethel bag.

Other ways to wearPaisley print duster worn 2 ways, gold linen tee worn 2 ways, zip detail jeans and graphic tee, leopard print sandals and dress, Chloe Ethel bag and skirt.

What I wore:

Jacket: thrifted no label leopard print cover up with waist tie
Necklace: Roie Designs multi chain layered beaded necklace
Tee: Big W mustard v-neck tee
Jeans: thrifted Jeanswest faded black cropped butt lifter jeans
Shoes: thrifted Anko Kmart black strappy sandals
Bracelets: the usual plus Mimco gunmetal twisted bracelet stack
BagChloe small Ethel bag in light khaki

Why I wore it:

Not a metallic gold tee in this outfit, more of a golden yellow! Still sticking with the statement necklace, printed cover up, black skinny jeans and sandals outfit formula, again with the Chloe Ethel bag. I liked the Ethel with the brown of the leopard print cover up and mustard yellow tee. Again it was a jeans and tee outfit for working from home and the school run, and the kids had sports in the evening.

Orange and Animal Print Cami and Maxi Skirt Outfits

I've been wearing a lot of tees lately, so I got a couple of my pretty camis out to change it up a little. Paired both with maxi skirts for these orange and leopard print outfits, accessorised with my Chloe Ethel bag.

What I wore:

Necklace: thrifted burgundy and cream beaded statement necklace
CamiNew Look orange strappy cami top
Skirt: thrifted ruffle hem leopard print midi skirt
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in white
Bracelets: the usual plus wooden beaded bracelet stack
BagChloe small Ethel bag in light khaki

Why I wore it:

This was such a fun day! Went down the coast to spend some time at my parents, and then shopping at Costco with my mum and sister. It was the first time I've been there! We bought a lot, and the kids were delighted by all the different sample stations they got to eat at!

While a leopard print midi skirt seems like it would be a loud statement piece, this skirt never seems too "in-your-face" for me so I had fun pairing it with this bright orange cami and the statement beaded necklace and beaded bracelet stack. I did add some neutrals with the white Converse and the small Chloe Ethel bag, but leopard is pretty much a neutral on its own now!

Really enjoyed this outfit, it was fun shopping and getting lunch with the family.

Last worn: orange cami, beaded statement necklace, wooden bracelet stack, leopard print maxi skirt, white Converse, Chloe Ethel bag.

Other ways to wearorange cami and jeans, leopard print maxi skirt and red tee, white Converse and shorts, Chloe Ethel bag and shorts.

Perfect for pregnancywhite Converse in second trimester.

What I wore:

Earrings: Piper gold heart earrings
Necklace: thrifted gold large double circle necklace
CamiKmart Anko leopard print cami
Skirtthrifted Tree of Life ochre maxi skirt
Shoes: Kmart tan crossover slides
Bracelets: the usual
BagChloe small Ethel bag in light khaki

Why I wore it:

I really liked the outfit above, so I flipped it around a little but followed the same outfit formula for this. Animal print cami this time and an orange maxi skirt. I keep calling this a leopard print cami even though it's clearly cheetah print. It was the perfect printed piece with this block colour rust maxi skirt. Again I wore my Chloe Ethel bag - the 'light khaki' colour is a very light one and I treat it as a neutral.

With the gold hardware on the Chloe Ethel bag and the bold combination of animal print and leopard, I kept the rest of my accessories simple with the tan slides and gold necklace and earrings.

Wore this out to an event at the library. I did feel a bit overdressed in this though, and didn't enjoy it as much as I did the first outfit. I think it seemed a little more dressed up than a plain tee and maxi skirt outfit. I did like it, just maybe should have worn it for a different day.

Leopard Print and Jeans Outfits With Chloe Bags

Two slightly cooler spring days in Brisbane meant getting another opportunity to get my jeans out again before summer temps set in. While both of these outfits have different colour schemes, they are both jeans and a tee with leopard print and Chloe bags.

What I wore:

Necklace: thrifted cream and navy statement flat bead necklace
Tee: thrifted Marcs navy lurex detail foil tee
Jeans: Portmans pink leopard print skinny jeans
Shoesslim navy and pink Havaianas
Bracelets: the usual
BagChloe Marcie medium shoulder bag in nut

Why I wore it:

Pink and blue always make me smile, although it does frustrate me a little how the lurex threads on this recently thrifted tee never show up in photos! I feel it's really noticeable in person. I liked the texture the tee had with the bright cheerful pink leopard print of the jeans. Had a regular weekday with working from home and the school run, jeans and a tee was ideal. I didn't really need all the extra space the Chloe Marcie gave but I liked the neutral tan with the colourful outfit.

I've been reorganising my wardrobe a bit lately with the clear outs I've been doing, so I realised when I got to my accessories that I hadn't worn this necklace in a while, it was definitely due another wear!

Last worn: navy tee, statement necklace, pink leopard print jeans, Havaianas, Chloe Marcie shoulder bag.

Other ways to wearnavy tee and maxi skirt, pink leopard print jeans and denim jacket, Chloe Marcie shoulder bag and dress.

What I wore:

Necklace:  thrifted wooden yellow tassel necklace
TeeSass and Bide 'New Day Rising' tee in orange leopard print
Jeans: Jeanswest Cecile dove grey skinny jeans
Shoesthrifted Adidas Superstar sneakers
Bracelets: the usual plus orange, yellow and red thread bracelets
BagChloe small Ethel bag in light khaki

Why I wore it:

Another day of working from home and the school run, with a couple of errands after picking the kids up from school. These grey skinny jeans are extremely comfortable, and I liked the neutral grey of the denim and the pale khaki of the Chloe Ethel bag with the neon orange leopard print on the tee.

I went a little matchy-matchy with the orange bracelets, although I added a slightly different colour with the yellow tassel necklace. I really liked this outfit! It was a slightly cooler day with all the rain, this outfit was perfect.

Last worn: leopard print tee, yellow tassel necklace, grey skinny jeans, Adidas Superstar sneakers, Chloe Ethel bag.

Black Tanks, Printed Skirts and Blazers | Weekday Wear Link Up

For today's Weekday Wear Link up, sharing two times I wore a midi skirt and black tank outfit formula with blazers over the top for the office.

What I wore:

Chloe small Ethel bag in light khaki

JacketJeanswest grey jersey blazer
Necklace: thrifted chartreuse necklace (new purchase)
Tank: Kmart linen blend textured black tank
Skirt: thrifted Ghanda midi slink skirt in green mini blossom
ShoesMarc by Marc Jacobs black logo plaque ballet flats
Bracelets: the usual
BagChloe small Ethel bag in light khaki

Why I wore it:

Last time I wore this green daisy print midi skirt to the office I worried the side slit was a bit too high. I saw the skirt hanging in my wardrobe and felt it was due another wear, and when I tried it on I wondered why I felt it was too high for the office, the length seems to cancel out the slightly higher slit. I quickly realised when I got to the office though, that the slit does expose quite a bit of leg when you sit down, and that was my main issue with it last time I wore it. Ended up tugging at the skirt all day, not the best choice of outfit. I did really like how this looked, just made me a bit self conscious in the office when anyone stopped by my desk.

With the neutral black tank and the grey blazer, the neon chartreuse necklace added needed pop of colour, and the light khaki small Chloe Ethel bag added some more lightness to the outfit too.

Last worn: grey jersey blazer, black linen blend tank, green print midi skirt, black ballet flats, Chloe small Ethel bag. First time I've worn the chartreuse necklace as it's a recent opshop buy.

Other ways to weargrey jersey blazer and dress, black linen blend tank and leopard print, green print midi skirt and band tee, black ballet flats and jeans, Chloe small Ethel bag and maxi skirt.

What I wore:

Chloe small Ethel bag in light khaki

Jacketthrifted Zara black blazer
Necklace: thrifted pastel pink and wooden hexagon bead necklace
Top: lace bib black swing tank from mum's wardrobe
SkirtCotton On 'Mica' mesh spot skirt in dusty pink
Shoes:  Converse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bracelets: the usual
BagChloe small Ethel bag in light khaki

Why I wore it:

Since I liked the outfit formula above (in theory, although not so much in practice!) I copied it again for another office day. I wore my comfortable Converse sneakers this time instead of the ballet flats, and again it was another midi skirt and a black tank outfit. I liked the lace detail of this tank with the mesh polka dot layer of the midi skirt, it was a nice texture combination, and it lifted the outfit a little with all the black of the black blazer and tank together.

This skirt is an old favourite that I saw in a magazine back in the days I used to read magazines and had to buy it - it is the Mica skirt after all! Surprisingly I haven't hit 30 wears on it yet, I'll need to wear it more often! I liked the blush necklace with it, although the skirt is more of a peachy pink I thought the shades worked nicely together with the black tank in between.

Last worn: black jersey blazer, black lace tank, statement necklace, polka dot pencil skirt, Converse, Chloe small Ethel bag (above).

Other ways to wearblack jersey blazer and floral dress, black lace tank with red, polka dot pencil skirt and berry top, Converse and shorts, Chloe small Ethel bag and striped dress.

Perfect for pregnancyblack jersey blazer in third trimesterConverse in second trimester.
