What I wore:
Necklace: Jeanswest Taryn turquoise tassel bead necklace
Dress: Jeanswest Sophia high-low maxi dress
Shoes: Novo Tawny rose gold sandals
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff Love Too in deep teal croc embossed leather
Why I wore it:
Wore this for my son's birthday party. Last year we had planned a party in the park with friends and family for his birthday, and then Coronavirus happened and we had to cancel it. So this year he was extremely excited to have a proper party! While it was a different theme from last year we picked the same park and invited all the same people and a few of his kindy friends along. He had a wonderful time!I was extremely grateful that the weather held out - the park we chose is prone to flooding and the big wet was starting to set in. We are so lucky that the rain stopped the morning of the party, the park wasn't flooded yet and the rain didn't start again until we were driving home. It was such a good morning. Just so nice for him to have a normal party with his friends like we did before the virus - even if things were a little different with lots of hand sanitiser and individual food servings and cupcakes, rather than one big birthday cake and platters of shared food.
Wanted to dress up even though it was just a casual park party - this cute high-low mandala print maxi dress was overdue a wear, and with all the pretty colours in the print I thought the turquoise tassel earrings and necklace were good accessories. The teal Rebecca Minkoff Love Too bag doesn't match any of the colours in the print but I think it went really well together - and it fit all my essentials as well as my camera for the party.
Last worn: turquoise tassel earrings, mandala print maxi dress, turquoise tassel necklace, gold sandals. First time I've worn the Rebecca Minkoff Love Too bag as it's a recent purchase.
Other ways to wear: mandala print maxi dress and denim jacket, gold sandals and blue dress.

Revealing My Rebecca Minkoff Love Too Bag:
What I wore:
Necklace: thrifted Equip gold and marble station necklace
Dress: French Connection blue Paisley print dress
Shoes: Marc by Marc Jacobs metallic mouse flats
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff Love Too in deep teal croc embossed leather
Why I wore it:
This was another little return to normality! First time back in the office after over a year! After some big events at work our little team went into the office and had a team a lunch to celebrate, and I of course just had to wear my new bag I bought with my recent work rewards! I think the teal works so well with the blue and orange.I'd been avoiding public transport since everything happened last year so it was strange being on a bus and being back in the office. It was rather unpleasant cleaning out all of the food and medication that I had left behind over a year ago, not knowing my last time in the office would be the last time! So nice to see people in person though and dress up in office wear again.
Had to go with this blue paisley print sheath dress, an office staple for me back in the day. And of course this orange blazer! That I bid for on eBay in 2020, won a few days later, and then by the time it arrived at my house I was already working from home in lockdown. Extremely poor timing! But good to get it out for a wear for the first time, over a year later.
Our office is open for people who want to work there, and has been for a while, although this was my first time venturing. A recent couple of cases outside of quarantine in Brisbane, and them being so close to when I was in the office as well as a brief lockdown a couple weeks later means I'm back to working from home for now sadly.
Last worn: statement necklace, paisley print sheath dress, gold mouse flats, Rebecca Minkoff Love Too bag (above). First time I've worn the blazer as it was an office purchase before the first lockdown last year.
Other ways to wear: paisley print sheath dress worn belted, gold mouse flats worn 30 ways.
Perfect for pregnancy: paisley print sheath dress in second trimester, gold mouse flats in third trimester.

So glad you were able to celebrate your son's birthday and go into the office even for a little while! Love both of these outfits!
ReplyDeleteJill - Doused in Pink
I vaguely remember going back to the school for the first time, but a year is so much longer. I can't imagine how it must have felt to walk halls, into your work space, sit with others on your team face to face. Would you rather work from home, go back to the office or do a hybrid model of the two. My husband will eventually probably have to make some sort of choice similar to this, and after this year and a bit, he is leaning towards home or a hybrid of the two.
ReplyDeleteYour outfit was perfect for returning to work! Love the blazer color.
bosbodaciousblog.blogspot.ca
Once I had kids I returned to the office part time and I worked from home one day a week - that hybrid model really worked for me so I would like to return to that eventually. There's no push to return to the office as they want everyone to make the safest choices for them, but I'm feeling safe with no cases so it's nice to go back occasionally.
DeleteThose dresses are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI am so profoundly jealous that you got to have a proper birthday party and an office team lunch! Things where I live are being horribly mismanaged by our government and our cases are out of control at the moment so I'm looking at not being back in the office for at least another 5-6 months and am planning another Zoom birthday party for Eleanor's fourth birthday. I want to live vicariously through you!
ReplyDeleteCourtney ~ Sartorial Sidelines
Zoom birthdays are hard :( I really hope things get safer for you soon - at least you are further ahead with vaccines! Still not looking like we will get any vaccines this year.
DeleteYou look fabulous in both beauty.
ReplyDeleteLove these dresses, Mica! And really loving this bag!!
ReplyDeleteSo glad your son got to have a proper party this year!

ReplyDeleteTrying so hard to not buy bags lately, especially since I'm ready to drop a TON if I finally find my the prada bag I've been hunting for for over 2 years now, haha!

I really hope you find that wonderful purple Prada!
DeleteI am so glad you were able to have a proper birthday party for your son! How exciting! I absolutely love what you wore for the occasion as well. That dress looks like it was made for you!
ReplyDeletethe creation of beauty is art.
That bag is gorgeous! I like it with both dresses, but with the orange/blue combination is very striking. I'm pleased to hear that your son got to enjoy his birthday with friends :)

So glad the weather cooperated for the party! And wow! What a dress to celebrate! That is so pretty with the sort of ruffle flowy high low part. Also really like that orange blazer with the other dress! It's bold, but adds so much - it's great!

I love these print dresses on you- they're so cute and you look adorable xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful printed dresses. You look fantastic in both of them. The dress you wore for your son's birthday party is so pretty and feminine. A winning look! I also like the look you wore for the office. That orange blazer looks fantastic paired with that skirt!!!!

ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your son. Happy to hear he was able to have a party this year. You look great.. love both looks.

Love the prints on both of these pretty dresses, and the bright coral jacket, too! So happy to hear you had a fun celebration for your son's birthday this year. I am still awaiting my turn to be vaccinated-I hope it's soon. Have a great week and thanks for the link up!
ReplyDeleteI hope you get vaccinated soon! Since we have no cases they are not in a rush to vaccinate us sadly, so it may not be this year for us :(
DeleteSo happy to hear your son had a great birthday!

Mica, look at you, all dressed up! I love your first outfit, and yay for dressing for a birthday party! I'm so glad your son got his "proper" birthday party! The bag goes so well with the dress too - it doesn't have to match as long as it goes! I actually just mentioned in my last post how much I love blue and orange together, and there are you wearing it! Love your office outfit - that orange blazer is amazing. Of COURSE, it arrived just in time for you to not be able to wear it! That's always the way. Good news about going back to your office, but I agree that you're better off staying home for now.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week my dear, and thank you for the linky-party!
I do love a blue and orange combo, I need to wear it more often! :)
DeleteBelated happy bday to your son, Mica:) And love both dresses. That French Connection one has always been one of my faves:) So awesome that you are now able to go back to work:) Right now, our cases are still high but the vaccination scene at least is getting better. Fingers crossed....
ReplyDeleteGlad vaccinations are getting better! Still going so badly with that here :(
DeleteCongrats on going back to your office—that must have been so strange! After over a year, I am equally looking forward to and dreading it!

I absolutely love your new bag, Mica! The shape is timeless, and this teal croco leather is incredible. Both outfits you featured today are gorgeous, and both occasions are worthy of a celebration! How great for your son to be able to celebrate with his friends for so long, and also great that you were able to go back to your office after so long. You look so stylish for both occasions. =)

Happy birthday to your son! Your dress is so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYou also look great in the second dress for the office, and
that orange blazer goes well with it!!

I'm so happy to hear that your son's birthday party went well! That is wonderful! Love your orange blazer and how it looks against the blue and teal!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad to hear about your return to something approaching normality, even if you are still working from home for now. This is giving me some hope for the future, as we are still a long way from normality here. I'm loving both of your outfits. The dress for your son's birthday party in the park is delightful, and it must have been great to be able to celebrate after missing out last year. My favourite though is the outfit you wore for your first time back at the office. The orange blazer is absolutely stunning worn with your blue Paisley dress. And of course your new teal bag is a stunner too! xxx
ReplyDeleteI hope you get back to normal soon! I like that we have the flexibility to decide when we should be in the office, and I think when things change a bit with what I'm working on I'll take advantage of it more! :)
DeleteI'm so happy your son got a proper party this year! I hope he had lots of fun. :) While things are still not back to the normal we once knew, I do hope it's getting much better and closer to us being able to have get togethers again.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love both dresses, but adore the added touch of the blazer in the second outfit. What a pretty outfit to head back into the office with!
Wishing you the brightest week, my friend!

I hope your son had a great birthday and party! I love that dress too, the print and hem are so fun. Yay for seeing your coworkers too! I can't wait to see some of mine soon as well.

Yay! How fabulous things are starting to return to normal! I'm so happy to hear your son had a wonderful birthday party too! Both dresses are so beautiful on you. The first one I actually just ordered a very similar one from an Australian brand. I'm excited to wear it this summer, especially seeing how cute you styled it!
ReplyDeleteWould love to see your dress when it arrives! :)
DeleteLovely dresses for our sunny weather.
ReplyDeleteHey Mica, I hope you're having a good week!
ReplyDeleteMany things to comment and two good reasons to pull out some nice outfits!
I hope you enjoyed your son's birthday, at least you could celebrate this time and that dress is perfect for the situation: not too elegant but not too casual, just in the middle and the perfect piece for a nice party :)
On the other side hope that you enjoyed your office day, I totally get your point! Now as a freelancer I am sharing an office with more people and it feels strange to come back to the "normality" (or new normality haha). I loved that orange blazer!

I love this dress. You look so pretty! Have a great time! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's great that you're seeing a return to normalcy especially since your son was able to have that birthday party he missed out on last year. Birthdays are so much more fun and meaningful when you're young so not getting to celebrate kind of bites. And this new RM bag of yours looks lovely with both outfits!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if my last comment went through! Loved you in both outfits and great bag!
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting again, the first one didn't go through :(

These look great. Loving the second look with the blazer :-D
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad things are starting to get back to normal for you, Mica. I'm sure your son was so ecstatic to have a "normal" birthday party. I feel so bad for the children as they will never get back the year lost from their childhood due to this pandemic. But, your outfits are so beautiful! You look pretty in both looks, but I love your first look best! As for heading back to the office, was it a big adjustment? I am still remote since last March and I love it. I really don't want to go back to the office.
ReplyDeletehttp://lizzyslatest.com/
It was nice going back! I've been back again since and I'd like to go back more but I really enjoy working form home too! it's nice to have the option about when we return and how often we return to the office.
DeleteIt's wonderful that things are settling down where you are. We're actually at the worst stage of lock-down to date, but I'm glad that things are getting better in at least some places. It's great that your son had a nice party too!
