Printed Dresses and Purple Chloe Paraty Bag

Two different white printed dress outfits, both with my wine purple Chloe Paraty bag.

What I wore:

Earrings: Colette silver filigree leaf diamante statement earrings
Dress: Iris Maxi The Label flora print blue and white mini dress
Belt: came with dress
ShoesNike Court Royale white and beige sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
BagChloe small Paraty bag in wine purple

Why I wore it:

Wore this for a slightly wet day, where we headed done the coast to spend time with my parents, and enjoyed pizza for dinner. Every time I wear this dress I manage to drop something on it and this occasion was no exception, luckily once again the food washed out!

I really like how comfortable this blue and white printed mini dress is, and with the white Nike court Royale sneakers it was a practical choice for another rainy but still humid day. I couldn't decide on a necklace for this, so ended up wearing my statement silver filigree leaf earrings, they match my silver bracelet stack and make enough of an impact I felt I could skep a necklace.

While the wine purple Chloe Paraty bag is quite a dark purple, I like purple and blue together so the darker bag was a great accessory, and it holds a lot more things than you'd expect.

Last worn: silver leaf earrings, blue printed mini dress, Nike Court Royale sneakers, Chloe wine purple Paraty bag.

Other ways to wearblue printed mini dress for Christmas, Nike Court Royale sneakers and shorts, Chloe wine purple Paraty bag and jeans.

What I wore:

Earrings: Piper gold heart earrings
Necklace: thrifted bronze foil statement necklace
Dress: thrifted peach and white floral print tiered sundress
ShoesWittner 'Jasmarie' studded sandals
Bracelets: the usual
BagChloe small Paraty bag in wine purple

Why I wore it:

Again I wore my dark wine purple Chloe Paraty bag with a light summer dress. I like the purple and orange combination with the light peachy orange leaf print on this tiered sundress. I added the darker foil necklace to compliment the darker purple of the Chloe Paraty bag as well.

This dress is such a good choice for Brisbane's summer humidity! It was an easy instant outfit for a day with the school run and working from home.

Green and Grey Denim Skirt and Tee Outfits

Two green and grey casual outfits, both with printed cover ups and again my teal Mimco cocoon bag that's become a real go-to for me since I bought it late last year.

What I wore:

JacketSeed Heritage black printed poncho
Earrings: handmade pink star clay earrings made by my sister
Necklace: Tiffany & Co pink double heart tag pendant necklace
Top: Target embroidered khaki tank
Skirt: Salvos Nobody Denim grey distressed denim skirt
Shoes: thrifted Anko Kmart black strappy sandals
Bracelets: the usual plus Mimco Slay to the rhythm bracelet in silver
BagMIMCO vintage cocoon bucket bag in teal

Why I wore it:

This was a fun day despite the heat! The kids had an art class at the library in the morning that was really good, then we had lunch and headed into the city for a very busy Brisbane Bookfest. I really enjoyed the $2.50 book section, and the kids weren't too upset about the long wait to get into the comic section as they came home with so many new comic and gaming books, they were really pleased!

I wanted to cover up my shoulders as a physical barrier against the sun when we were walking around, but it was too hot to consider a tee so I picked this pretty embroidered tank that hasn't been worn in a while. With the black embroidery I thought this black cover up was a good matchy-matchy choice, as were the black sandals. The grey denim skirt of course goes with everything, it was a great Vinnies (opshop) find.

While the teal Mimco cocoon bag doesn't match the khaki green of the tank, once again I enjoyed wearing this bag with other shades of green. And I had a few big reusable totes for us to our preloved book haul at bookfest, that our water bottles and some snacks fit inside so I just needed a crossbody bag for the essentials.

Last worn: pink clay earrings, black and white printed duster, Tiffany heart necklace, green embroidered tank, grey Nobody Denim skirt, black sandals, Mimco teal cocoon bag.

Other ways to wearblack and white printed duster and shorts, green embroidered tank and maxi skirt, grey Nobody Denim skirt and graphic tee, black sandals and dress, Mimco teal cocoon bag and blazer.

What I wore:

JacketWoven Heart gold floral kimono
NecklaceRoie Designs long freshwater pearl necklace with tassel
Tee: thrifted Cotton on grey tunic tee
Skirt: Jeanswest light olive denim skirt
Shoesslim navy and pink Havaianas
Bracelets: the usual plus wooden bead bracelet set
BagMIMCO vintage cocoon bucket bag in teal

Why I wore it:

Another cover up and another grey and green outfit. This time around I wore a pale green distressed denim skirt with a grey top. I wore this to work from home, with an appointment for the kids in the afternoon. I like simple tee outfits when working from home.

I added a little more interest to this for video calls and a little physical sunblock with the floral print duster. I like the mix of colours it added to the neutral outfit, and with the blues and greens in the floral print I thought the Mimco teal cocoon bag was a pretty good pairing as well. I really liked this outfit.

Dresses and Louis Vuitton Damier Azur Neverfull Tote Bag

Wearing two different dresses with my big Louis Vuitton damier azur Neverfull tote bag for a couple of recent weekend days.

What I wore:

Earrings: Kmart gold circle glitter resin statement earrings
Necklace: handmade silver and gold faux pearl beaded necklace
Dress: thrifted colourful geometric print maxi dress
Shoes: thrifted Seed Heritage tan braided sandals
Bracelets: the usual plus Hermes Kelly double tour bracelet in rubis and Mimco Slay to the rhythm bracelet in silver
BagLouis Vuitton MM damier azur Neverfull

Why I wore it:

This was a really nice day! With Lunar New Year just a few days away, we met up with some friends for Yum Cha. As the kids were coming along as well I brought my big Louis Vuitton Neverfull tote so I could have some books inside for them. They were quite happy to sit and read while waiting for the food to arrive. Such good food and great company, it was a lovely lunch!

I picked this pretty geometric printed maxi dress to wear as I never feel over or under dressed in a maxi dress! With the busy print and the damier azur print on the Neverfull tote I kept it simple with the accessories, these braided sandals are a favourite and the gold glitter earrings and faux pearl necklace.

Last worn: glitter circle earrings, faux pearl necklace, Mimco bracelet, Hermes bracelet, geometric print maxi dress, braided sandals, Louis Vuitton Neverfull tote.

Other ways to weargeometric print maxi dress at the beach, braided sandals and skirtLouis Vuitton Neverfull worn 30 ways.

What I wore:

Necklace: thrifted mint silicone statement necklace
Dress: Kmart short sleeve tiered knit dress in indigo ink with pockets
Shoes: Kmart tan crossover slides
Bracelets: the usual
BagLouis Vuitton MM damier azur Neverfull

Why I wore it:

While not as colourful as the outfit above, I really liked this outfit too! We spent the day down the coast at my parents, cooling off by playing in the water. It's not the first time I've worn this navy tiered dress and Louis Vuitton Neverfull bag together, it's a great combination. The print on the tote is a nice pairing with the block colour navy tiered dress.

This dress is nice and comfortable, and a great bikini cover up, and the Louis Vuitton Neverfull tote is a practical choice for all the little extras I needed. it was another really fun day spending time with family.

Grey Skirt Outfits With Purple

Brightening up some grey skirt outfits by adding a little bit of purple.

What I wore:

EarringsMIMCO fleur stud silver earrings
Necklace: handmade silver and gold faux pearl beaded necklace
Tee: Kmart basic purple tee
Skirt: thrifted pinstripe maxi skirt
ShoesNike Court Royale white and beige sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
BagLouis Vuitton MM damier azur Neverfull

Why I wore it:

Needed a comfortable and practical outfit for my son's surgery. The Louis Vuitton Neverfull tote bag fits everything with both needed to keep us happy and distracted with all the waiting around, it's such a good tote bag.

Kept my outfit simple with this little beaded necklace I made, good for my son to fidget with if needed. And I was cosy and comfortable in the grey pinstripe jersey maxi skirt, and sneakers. I thought the purple tee was a nice way to add some colour and lightness to the outfit that would have been a bit too neutral without the block colour tee.

Last worn: silver earrings, purple tee, beaded necklace, grey pinstripe maxi skirt, Nike Court Royale sneakers, Louis Vuitton Neverfull.

Other ways to wearpurple tee and jeans, grey pinstripe maxi skirt and knit, Nike Court Royale sneakers and shortsLouis Vuitton Neverfull worn 30 ways.

What I wore:

EarringsMIMCO fleur stud silver earrings
Necklace: thrifted metallic clay bead necklace

Skirt: Salvos Nobody Denim grey distressed denim skirt
Shoesslim navy and pink Havaianas
Bracelets: the usual plus Mimco Slay to the rhythm bracelet in silver
BagPolene numero neuf mini in textured mauve

Why I wore it:

Just like the outfit above, this felt a bit plain and neutral with the grey denim skirt, and the grey tee. I added a little more colour with purple again, although lighter shades this time. I really liked the resulting outfit though! The purple floral cover up is something I've worn with the lilac Polene Numero neuf mini bag before, I really like the pairing! And I added another beaded necklace, this one was an opshop find.

I had a couple of errands to run and a few things to donate to the opshop that I hadn't managed to drop off before Christmas. of course I had a bit of a browse as well, and ended up with a few more books to replace the ones the kids had grown out of that I'd just donated!

Metallic Tops and Shorts With Green Mini 5-Zip Bag

Adding a little interest to simple shorts outfits with metallic tops this summer.

What I wore:

Jacket: thrifted no label tropical print tassel cover up
Necklace: thrifted wooden geometric bead necklace
Singlet: Jeanswest Maji metallic tank in soft green and silver
Shorts:  thrifted Kmart turquoise linen shorts
Shoesslim navy and pink Havaianas
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff emerald green mini 5-zip rocker bag

Why I wore it:

This was another hot and humid Brisbane day and I had to go out for a couple of appointments. I went with this metallic tank and my comfortable linen shorts. They are great in the heat. I added the cover up for a little sun coverage on my bare shoulders, and I really liked the colours of the print with the turquoise shorts. The blue was a nice pairing with the turquoise linen shorts, with the green in the print as well I decided to go for green accessories. This Rebecca Minkoff green mini 5-zip bag and the geometric beaded necklace have been worn together frequently, it's a combination I really enjoy accessorising with.
Another metallic top and tee outfit! We decided to put one of the gift vouchers the kids got for Christmas to use and headed out to an indoor play area for an extended session. The boys loved it! I had my latest book in the reusable tote filled with their water bottles as well, as I got to sit and read and relax as they played and had a great time.

I thought this metallic gold tee was a nice choice, a little more dressy than a plain tee, and I liked it with the black printed shorts. Again I added green accessories, with the same Rebecca Minkoff green mini 5-zip bag and a different green beaded necklace. The sneakers were comfortable as well, and good for driving around a little after before heading home for lunch.

Last worn: metallic linen tee, green beaded necklace, black printed shorts, Nike Court Royale sneakers, Rebecca Minkoff green mini 5-zip bag (above).

Other ways to wearmetallic linen tee worn 2 ways, black printed shorts and graphic tee, Nike Court Royale sneakers and dress, Rebecca Minkoff green mini 5-zip bag and jeans.

Yellow Tees and Distressed Denim Skirts

Wearing two relatively new denim skirt additions to my wardrobe, with some printed cover ups and yellow tees.

What I wore:

JacketJeanswest Kensley summer tie-dye kimono
Earrings: Target solid silver hoops
Necklace: mixed metal hammered pendant necklace
Tee: Jeanswest essential v-neck tee in elfin yellow
Skirt: Jeanswest light olive denim skirt
Shoesslim navy and pink Havaianas
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff olive mini Darren

Why I wore it:

Wearing a couple of new Christmas pieces in this outfit! The yellow tee and the navy tie dye cover up are wardrobe oldies, as is the mixed metal necklace, navy Havaianas and little olive Rebecca Minkoff Darren mini messenger bag. The silver hoop earrings are a Christmas gift, as was the green distressed denim skirt. It was from our annual pre-Christmas shopping trips, a score from the opshop my sister got me. I really like the pale green worn with the pale yellow tee.

The distressed denim skirt and tee outfit was nice for a calm day after Christmas, with a trip to the library and then lunch before heading home. Despite having got a whole bunch of books for Christmas, the kids love the regular library trips to stock up on more books. This was a really comfortable outfit and I enjoyed wearing it, great first wear for this skirt.

Last worn: navy tie dye duster, yellow tee, mixed metal necklace, Havaianas, Rebecca Minkoff olive mini Darren messenger bag. First time I've worn the hoop earrings and the green denim skirt as they are Christmas gifts.

Other ways to wearnavy tie dye duster, yellow tee and jeans, Rebecca Minkoff olive mini Darren messenger bag and shorts.

What I wore:

Jacket
: thrifted digital print no label kimono
Earrings: gold Christmas present bow hoops
Necklace: Kmart navy and gold beaded tassel necklace
Tee: Big W mustard v-neck tee
Skirt: Salvos Nobody Denim grey distressed denim skirt
Shoes: thrifted Les Tropeziennes Par M.Belarbi leopard print and gold leather sandals
Bracelets: the usual plus Vinnies blue and natural wooden bead bracelet stack
BagMIMCO Mim-Mazing crossbody bag in black and light gold

Why I wore it:

Again, repeating the outfit formula from that first outfit as I enjoyed it so much, and repeating it with similar pieces. A more of a mustard yellow tee, with a grey distressed denim skirt this time, and another printed cover up. I liked the mustard tee with the matching mustard in the print of this cover up, it's a fun one to wear, and was an opshop find. The grey Nobody Denim skirt was an opshop find also, NWT from Salvos. Pretty thrilled with this find.

It was a nice comfortable outfit for a little running around, with a couple of errands to run and a playdate to drop my son off at. Tried to organise a few playdates for him over the school holidays. The only downside of this outfit was that the tassel fell off my necklace. I like to play with it a lot when I wear this, but it wasn't until the end of the day that I grabbed my necklace to find the tassel had fallen off somewhere. I couldn't find it in the house or car sadly.

Last worn: bow earrings, digital print cover up, mustard tee, navy necklace, wooden bracelet stack, grey denim skirt, leopard print sandals, Mimco crossbody bag.

Other ways to weardigital print cover up and dress, mustard tee and shorts, grey denim skirt and graphic tee, leopard print sandals and maxi skirt, Mimco crossbody bag and blazer.

Printed Maxi Dresses And Colourful Mini MAC Bags

Enjoying wearing two of my printed spaghetti strap maxi dresses for Summer days here in Brisbane, with colourful Rebecca Minkoff mini 5 zip bags.

What I wore:

Necklace: rose gold and turquoise beaded necklace
Dress: Jeanswest Sophia high-low maxi dress
Shoesslim navy and pink Havaianas
Bracelets: the usual plus Vinnies blue and natural wooden bead bracelet stack
BagRebecca Minkoff Mini 5 zip in pink iris with gold hardware

Why I wore it:

I felt this maxi dress was overdue another wear! It does seem a bit more dressed up sometimes so I pass over it in my wardrobe, but I got it out for a fun pool party and lunch down the coast, and really enjoyed wearing it. Although the pink in the print isn't the exact same shade as the pink Rebecca Minkoff mini 5-zip bag, the two looked so good together. I am surprised I haven't worn the bag and dress together before actually.

I added some turquoise accessories also, as there is some turquoise in the print of the maxi dress. I liked the turquoise and gold necklace with this, and my recently thrifted wooden bracelet stack. Both easy accessories to remove when it was time to jump in the pool.

Last worn: high low ruffle hem maxi dress, turquoise beaded necklace, Havaianas, Rebecca Minkoff pink mini 5-zip bag.

Other ways to wearhigh low ruffle hem maxi dress and denim jacket, Rebecca Minkoff pink mini 5-zip bag and skirt.

What I wore:

Earrings: opal reindeer stud earrings
Necklace: thrifted bronze foil statement necklace
Dress: thrifted colourful geometric print maxi dress
Shoesslim navy and pink Havaianas
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff yellow mini 5 zip

Why I wore it:

This was a really relaxing day off! I had a couple of errands to run at the start of the day, but also treated myself to a massage. Didn't even have to cook dinner in the afternoon as we went to my favourite restaurant.

I wanted to be comfortable on such a hot day, so went with this colourful geometric print maxi dress. I like the yellow bag with it, although like in the first outfit, the yellow in the bag and yellow in the print are not an exact match. I added the bronze foil beaded necklace to this but reviewing the photos think the yellow necklace I considered instead may have been better.

This is such a nice dress to wear, and a bargain at just $1 from the opshop too. Definitely getting good value from this thrift find.

Orange Dresses and Red Accessories

Two colourful orange dresses, with red accessories for even more colour for some summer school holiday days. Orange and red is a fun combination I've started reaching for more often, I really like the red accessories with both of these orange dresses.

What I wore:

Earrings: Kmart glitter gingerbread man earrings
Necklace: thrifted red flat bead necklace
Dress: Kmart short sleeve tiered jersey midi dress in amber
Shoes: thrifted Seed Heritage tan braided sandals
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff red micro Avery cross body bag

Why I wore it:

Got this amber tiered midi dress out again for a hot Sunday. It was really humid and threatening rain, but this dress keeps me nice and cool. It was perfect for church in the morning, a sports class with the kids in the afternoon, and then viewing the Christmas lights in the evening (as I wore this back in December).

Thankfully while there were a few rain showers the sports class still went on, it only got really heavy right at the end, so they had a fun time. And the rain cleared up for us viewing the Christmas lights in the evening.

The little Rebecca Minkoff tote bag is more of an orangey-red than the beaded necklace, but I still liked these two pieces together against the amber midi dress.

Last worn: gingerbread earrings, flat red beaded necklace, amber tiered midi dress, braided sandals, micro Avery tote.

Other ways to wearamber tiered midi dress and denim jacket, braided sandals and skirt, micro Avery tote bag worn 30 ways.

What I wore:

Earrings: candy cane hoop earrings
Necklace: adjustable coral flat bead necklace
DressJeanswest Lilah tiered linen dress in orange
Shoes: thrifted Seed Heritage tan braided sandals
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff unlined saddle bag in cherry red

Why I wore it:

Repeated the orange dress and red necklace and bag combination again, because I liked it so much! Even wore the same sandals, they are comfortable and so good in the heat. It was another super hot day, so we hung out at the library for a bit enjoying the aircon there for the morning. The kids always like getting to play on the computers after picking out new books.

We headed home for lunch, and again as this was worn back in December, got a few more Christmas tasks done with some Christmas baking and decorating in preparation for Christmas Eve.

Just like in the first outfit above, the coral red necklace and the red studded saddle bag are different shades of red, but I still liked them together against this orange linen dress.

Last worn: candy cane earrings, coral necklace, orange linen dress, braided sandals (above), Rebecca Minkoff studded saddle bag.

Red Tees, Printed Culotte Shorts and Teal Cocoon Bag

Two simple red tee and printed shorts outfits, with my little teal MIMCO cocoon bucket bag, for some fun summer school holiday adventures with the kids.

What I wore:

Earrings: glitter Santa hat stud earrings
Necklace: mixed metal hammered pendant necklace
TeeCotton On The One sangria v-neck tee
Shorts: thrifted Kmart pastel soft culotte shorts in floral print
Shoesthrifted white leather Chuck Taylor All Star Converse sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
BagMIMCO vintage cocoon bucket bag in teal

Why I wore it:

It's been way too long since I last wore this red tee. I confess it kind of got a little lost in my wardrobe with all the red tees I have! I really like the darker red though and while there isn't any red in the print of these pastel culotte shorts I liked the two together. It was the Christmas school holidays, so I added a very subtle festive touch with the teal MIMCO cocoon bucket bag. I don't think it was too obvious, but it made me smile wearing this combination.

We had a busy day, with a fun insect event in the morning. The kids got to learn more about insects and then go on a bug hunt to identify some bugs with the expert, so they were in their element. Even though there were a few rain showers while we were outdoors they still had the best time. Afterwards I had a couple of errands to run and we grabbed lunch before going home. Despite the rain showers it was a really hot and humid day so this shorts and tee pairing was perfect.

Last worn: glitter earrings, red tee, mixed metal necklace, printed culotte shorts, white Converse, teal Mimco cocoon bucket bag.

Other ways to wearred tee and linen shorts, printed culotte shorts and blazer, white Converse and dress, teal Mimco cocoon bucket bag and skirt.

What I wore:

Earrings: B-Sparkly blue glitter resin tree earrings
Necklace: Uniquely Made with Love Sea Change necklace
Tee: Jeanswest Emily cotton v-neck tee in coral
Shorts: Kmart culotte short in navy lemon print
ShoesLes Tropeziennes Par M.Belarbi leopard print and gold leather sandals
Bracelets: the usual
BagMIMCO vintage cocoon bucket bag in teal

Why I wore it:

Since I liked the red tee and printed culottes outfit formula so much above, I did what I always do, and repeated the same formula again! Like the previous outfit, there isn't any red in this lemon print on the culotte shorts, but I liked the pairing.

I wore this the day after the one above, we had another event on in the morning, a STEM event at the local library which the kids loved. I then took them out for lunch and we spent an hour or so in the arcade afterwards. It was our first time at that arcade and they do party bookings so I'm already thinking about birthday parties next year!

Unlike the day above, we were mostly indoors, enjoying the aircon at the library, restaurant and then the arcade. I still liked the simple shorts and tee combination though, good for a summer day even if it was spent mostly in aircon temps!

Last worn:  coral tee, blue beaded necklace, navy printed culottes, leopard print sandals, Mimco teal cocoon bag (above). First time I've worn the Christmas earrings.

Other ways to wearcoral tee and skirt, navy printed culottes and cardigan, leopard print sandals and dress, Mimco teal cocoon bag with pink.
