Jaase Dresses, Denim Jackets and Polene Numero Neuf Mini Bag

2 outfits with a simple outfit formula of Jaase floral dresses, denim jackets, statement earrings and my Polene Numero Neuf mini bag. Both outfits worn at the start of winter when it wasn't cold enough to need leggings under these dresses.

What I wore:

Jacket: Jeanswest Kitty denim biker jacket
Earrings: Colette blue mixed shape faux crustal drop earrings
DressJaase Celine autumn leaves mini dress
ShoesAtmos&Here tan Lola leather ankle boots
BagPolene numero neuf mini in textured mauve

Why I wore it:

Wore this for church in the morning, and then an engagement lunch in the afternoon. It felt like a day that would warm up and with the ankle boots and the denim jacket I was warm enough until I did. This navy Jaase autumn leaves print dress has long sleeves too that helped keep me warm.

I couldn't decide what necklace to wear with this, and decided just on a pair of statement earrings instead. I really like these blue crystal ones. With the pale blue wash of the denim jacket and the navy background of the dress, the blue earrings were great with this.

I added a little extra colour with the lilac purple Polene Numero Neuf mini bag. I didn't need to carry much with me, and this bag is great for just the essentials.

Last worn: statement earrings, denim moto jacket, Jaase Celine dress, tan ankle boots, Polene Numero Neuf mini bag.

Other ways to weardenim moto jacket and skirt, Jaase Celine dress and blazertan ankle boots and jeans, Polene Numero Neuf mini bag and maxi skirt.
Another repetition of the same outfit formula, with a different Jaase floral dress! I picked up this dress recently in the Salty Crush warehouse sale and I've really been enjoying wearing it. For another morning at church and a couple of quick errands afterwards, again a denim jacket was the only topper I needed. It was even warm enough that I didn't need ankle boots and just wore Converse with this.

While the purple floral earrings and the lilac Polene Numero Neuf mini bag are different shades of purple, I liked both of them with the pastel peach tones in this floral Jaase dress, especially paired with the darker wash denim jacket.

Last worn: purple statement floral earrings, denim jacket, Jaase floral dress, white Converse, Polene Numero Neuf mini bag (above).

Other ways to weardenim jacket worn 30 ways, Jaase floral dress and trench coat, white Converse and jeans, Polene Numero Neuf mini bag and skirt.

Navy Printed Dresses With Blazers and Purple Bags

Two navy and white printed tiered dresses for the office, with blue jackets and purple bags.

What I wore:

Jacket: Anko Kmart mid wash denim jacket
EarringsColette Tropadelic fuchsia coloured metal leaf earrings
DressSalty Crush Avery midi dress in charis blue relaxed button down tiered dress with balloon sleeves
ShoesAdidas Superstar sneakers
BagChloe small Paraty bag in wine purple

Why I wore it:

It was a really foggy morning on this day so I was glad I had this long maxi skirt, thankfully the fog dissipated by the time I was in the office and it turned into a warm and sunny day, so this denim jacket was the perfect layer. it kept me cosy on the cooler commute over this long sleeved printed maxi dress, and also for the afternoon, as I left the office early to take Cooper to a vet's appointment in the evening.

I really like the navy and white print on this dress, but felt like adding a little more colour to it. The fuchsia statement earrings and the wine purple Chloe Paraty bag don't match each other at all, but I like both purple and pink with blue so I really liked this combination.

it's the first time I've shared this dress on the blog - i picked it up at the Salty Crush online warehouse sale and it was a bargain. I really liked wearing it. It has pockets and while it's a light viscose the long sleeves mean I'm hoping to wear it a few more times in winter.

Last worn: fuchsia statement earrings, denim jacket, Adidas Superstar sneakers, Chloe wine purple Paraty bag. First time I've posted the dress as it's a recent purchase.

Other ways to weardenim jacket and skirt, Adidas Superstar sneakers and shorts, Chloe wine purple Paraty bag and skirt.

What I wore:

Jacket: thrifted Jeanswest cobalt blue blazer
Earrings: Colette Tropadelic purple beaded tassel statement earrings
Necklace: handmade silver and gold faux pearl beaded necklace
Dress: Anko Kmart Navy white print tiered dress from my sister's wardrobe
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star in pink foam
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff mini MAB tote in plum

Why I wore it:

I wore this back at the end of autumn, when bare legs was possible! It's a lot cooler now it's winter in Brisbane. I really liked this outfit though. The navy and white tiered printed dress is from my sister's wardrobe, and just like the outfit above I added more colour with pink and purple accessories. The plum purple mini MAB tote bag is not the exact same shade of purple as the earrings, but I like the two together, and I added a little pink as well with the pastel pink Converse. The bright blue blazer was all the light layer I needed for this outfit on the commute to and from work. It helped make the dress a little more formal for in the office too.

This was another day I left the office early, to pickup the kids and go to an evening high school tour. They provided lots of food which was great, saved me having to cook late in the evening!

Last worn: purple tassel earrings, beaded necklace, blue blazer, navy and white tiered dress, pink Converse, Rebecca Minkoff plum purple MAB.

Other ways to wearblue blazer and skirt, navy and white tiered dress with another blazer, pink Converse and jeansRebecca Minkoff plum purple mini MAB tote bag worn 30 ways.

Peach Floral Dresses, Anko Denim Trench, Converse and Chloe Ethel Bag

Wearing my Kmart denim trench coat yet again, with two very similar peachy-pastel print floral dresses, Converse and my Chloe Ethel bag. I do love repeating a good outfit formula!

What I wore:

Jacket: Kmart Anko full length oversized denim trench coat
EarringsColette white pearl beaded gum leaf tassel earrings
DressJaase Semika mini smock dress in amor print mandarin dollar dress
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star in hot tea
BagChloe small Ethel bag in light khaki

Why I wore it:

This was a bit of a busy day! Cooper had the vets in the morning, then I had a fun art class with friends, and used my mother's day gift to treat myself to a pamper session in the evening. So busy, but fun! It was a rainy start to the day so I did wonder if I should have worn boots instead of Converse, but thankfully the rain dried up quickly and it was really warm when the sun came out. I didn't even need my trench coat by lunch time. the long sleeves on this dress helped.

This was a great first wearing of this beautiful Jasse dress I picked up in the latest Salty Crush sale - it got a lot of compliments in art class and I thankfully avoided getting it dirty with the materials! It was such a delight to wear, and I'm so pleased I bought this dress, even if it does look a little similar to the dress I'm wearing below.

Last worn: denim trench coat, brown Converse, Chloe Ethel bag. It's the first time I've shared the earrings on the blog and Jaase dress on the blog as they are recent purchases.

Other ways to weardenim trench coat and black dress, brown Converse and jeans, Chloe Ethel bag and skirt.

What I wore:

Jacket: Kmart Anko full length oversized denim trench coat
Earrings: Colette blue mixed shape faux crustal drop earrings
Dress: thrifted no label pastel floral print babydoll dress
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star coast blue
BagChloe small Ethel bag in light khaki

Why I wore it:

Unlike the dress above that was an online sale purchase, this peachy pastel print floral dress is an opshop find! it's a lot cheaper, at just $1, and a slightly different set of colours and a babydoll waist style with much fewer buttons. I still think that when posted side by side like this in almost identical layers with this denim trench, the two dresses look every similar. I think there is certainly room for both in my wardrobe though!

This was a busy but less fun day, with another vet visit for Cooper, the school run, a couple of errands, and working from home. I knotted the tassel on this dress at the neckline as with the blue statement earrings I couldn't decide on a necklace. I like the way this dress looks tied up too, I'll need to try that with the tassels on the dress above also one day.

Last worn: crystal earrings, denim trench coat (above), floral babydoll dress, blue Converse, Chloe Ethel bag (above).

Other ways to weardenim trench coat and midi dress, floral babydoll dress and leather jacket, blue Converse and jeans, Chloe Ethel bag and shorts.

What I Bought In May & How I've Worn It

Although last month when I shared my purchases I said I was pretty wardrobe content and didn't expect to be buying anything for my wardrobe in May, I stumbled on some sales ...

What I Bought:

Why I Bought It:

All of these were impulse buys! I got sucked in by a Facebook ad for the Salty Crush warehouse sale (nothing over $39!) and knowing my sister loves the site and has bought me a few dresses from there I couldn't resist checking it out, and picked up two pretty dresses.

Then after thinking I definitely wouldn't buy any more, I walked past the 3 for $10 jewellery sale at Collette and just had to pick up some statement earrings. I got 6 pairs for $20 which is a great bargain in my eyes. Yes, as my mum said, I didn't really need 6 new pairs of earrings, but it's not that much more than what I'd pay at the opshops for the same, and statement earrings are something I tend to wear more often in the winter months, as I layer with scarves which hide necklaces.

How I Wore It:

I haven't included the outfits I wore the earrings in, although they will pop up on the blog in the next few weeks. Simply because it would be a little hard to spot  the earrings in this photo collage! But I have worn all the earrings at least twice in May, the month I bought them, as is my goal for everything I buy. As you can see I managed to get two wears from both dresses too! The Jaase mini dress has long sleeves and is roomy enough that I can layer a slip underneath so I'm hoping that I will be able to wear it a little more before winter weather really arrives in Brisbane. The long sleeved maxi dress is a little thin but it's layered up well so far for autumn days, and it means it will work in spring too!

The earrings and dresses are getting me lots of compliments, and are all things I'm very glad I added to my wardrobe, even if they were all impulse buys.

Kmart Floral Midi Dresses, Denim Trench Coat and Chloe Paddington Bag

This Anko full length denim trench coat is becoming an autumn staple for me! The nice relaxed fit means it easily fits both of these long sleeved floral dresses underneath, also both Kmart sale buys! It's a nice layer for autumn commutes to the office too.

What I wore:

Jacket: Kmart Anko full length oversized denim trench coat
EarringsColette Tropadelic purple beaded tassel statement earrings
Dress: Kmart long sleeve black tie neck dress in floral wisteria print
Belt: came with dress
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star coast blue
BagChloe Paddington in 2007 Brun

Why I wore it:

This was a whirlwind of a day! It started off as normal with a morning in the office. I was glad of this jacket keeping me warm for the commute as although this black floral midi dress has long sleeves it's a light fabric and it would have been too chilly on its own. I ended up having to come home from the city early to collect my unwell son from school, and then we got the news Cooper needed surgery from the vet that afternoon. It was a lot for one day! Thankfully as I'm typing this my son has recovered, Coops has had the surgery and is recovering well.

I'd planned this pretty black floral midi dress for a day full of meetings. I like the statement purple beaded earrings with it, even though there isn't any purple in the print of this dress, I like wearing purple with it as it compliments pink and blue so nicely. And again I wore my brun Chloe Paddington bag that's been getting a lot of wear recently.

Last worn: denim trench coat, black floral midi dress, blue Converse, Chloe Paddington bag. First time I've worn the earrings as they are a recent purchase.

Other ways to weardenim trench coat and jeans, black floral midi dress and leather jacket, blue Converse and shorts, Chloe Paddington bag and pencil skirt.

Perfect for pregnancy: Chloe Paddington bag in second trimester.

What I wore:

Jacket: Kmart Anko full length oversized denim trench coat
EarringsColette silver light twist hoop earrings
Necklace: Tiffany & Co pink double heart tag pendant necklace
Dress: Kmart teal floral print midi dress
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star in hot tea
Bracelets: the usual
BagChloe Paddington in 2007 Brun

Why I wore it:

Another office day, and again the same easy outfit formula! I find printed midi dresses are great for office days, and I've barely switched up my bag since getting this Chloe Paddington back out again. The denim trench again was an awesome outfit topper, and I wore the brown Converse to compliment the brown Paddington bag. Even though they are different shades of brown I like wearing these accessories together.

Thankfully, it was a much calmer day than the one above! So while I was wearing almost the same thing the day went a lot smoother. As well as a meeting filled day can go, with no unwell children or pets thankfully.

Printed Maxi Dresses and Cream Chloe Small Paddington Bag

Being a bit behind with sharing what I wore on the blog, these are the outfits I wore for Easter with the family. We spent the day before Easter with my family down the coast, and then Easter Sunday at church in the morning and the in-laws in the afternoon.

What I wore:

Necklacevintage gold initial necklace
Earrings: thrifted Lovisa red tassel earrings
Dress: Orange Sherbet Zoe tiered dress in geranium print pink
Shoes: thrifted Les Tropeziennes Par M.Belarbi leopard print and gold leather sandals
Bracelets: the usual plus red Polka Luka resin bangle and thrifted cream resin bangle duo set
BagChloe small Paddington in 2006 blanc

Why I wore it:

Another wearing of this beautiful floral tiered maxi dress, for Easter Sunday morning at church, an egg hunt for the kids, and then over to the in-laws for Easter lunch.

It was a warmer day than I expected so I was able to go without a jacket which was nice, and wore these thrifted sandals. The red tassel earrings are a new with tags opshop find, and they are so perfect with the red floral print in this dress. I tried to be a little more matchy-matchy with the bangles too, the red resin one was a gift from a friend but the cream resin ones were also an opshop find.

While the Chloe small Paddington bag is more of a darker creamier almost beige colour, I still thought it went nicely with all the white in this outfit, and as I've been inspired to wear my Chloe Paddington bags again this was definitely overdue a spin. It's such a cute bag.

The only think I didn't like about this outfit was that my necklace snapped! Thankfully I caught the charm as well as the chain, and have already been to the jeweller to fix it. It's a super old necklace I've had for decades so I'm pleased it was able to be fixed.

Last worn: vintage initial necklace, cream resin bracelets, red resin bangle, Orange Sherbet floral tiered maxi dress, leopard print sandals, Chloe small Paddington bag. First time I've worn the earrings as they are a recent opshop find.

Other ways to wearOrange Sherbet floral tiered maxi dress for Christmas, leopard print sandals and skirt, Chloe small Paddington bag and jeans.

What I wore:

Earrings: thrifted Lovisa red tassel earrings
Necklace: Lovisa gold filigree heart pendant
Dress: thrifted colourful geometric print maxi dress
Shoes: thrifted Seed Heritage tan braided sandals
Bracelets: the usual plus vintage silver charm bracelet
BagChloe small Paddington in 2006 blanc

Why I wore it:

Again I couldn't resist going matchy-matchy with the print in this dress and the red tassel earrings! This was another Easter celebration, a day earlier down the coast with my family. I wanted to be comfortable and pulled together but also be able to run around with the kids as my mum always plans the most epic Easter egg hunts. And there is so much good food, I didn't want anything restrictive to wear. This geometric print maxi dress is a firm favourite, and was also, like the braided sandals, an opshop find.

Just like in the outfit above, the cream-toned small Chloe Paddington bag doesn't match anything in this outfit, but I liked it all the same. It's such a cute accessory. I did try match it a little with the rose gold necklace, I figured the gold hardware was far away enough from the necklace that you couldn't see the mismatch in the gold tones too much.

Navy and White Dresses With Blazers and Lilac Polene Numero Neuf Mini Bag

Navy and white printed dress outfits with blazers and my lilac Polene Numero Neuf mini bag for recent office days.

What I wore:

Jacket: thrifted Valleygirl navy jersey blazer
EarringsMIMCO fleur stud silver earrings
Necklace: thrifted purple wooden bead statement necklace
Dress: Anko Kmart Navy white print tiered dress from my sister's wardrobe
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star coast blue
Bracelets: the usual
BagPolene numero neuf mini in textured mauve

Why I wore it:

First wearing of this cute dress I scored in my sister's wardrobe clear out! The Kmart navy and white printed dress has cute ruffle sleeves that are sadly hidden under this blazer, but it's definitely my kind of dress so I was happy to take it off my sister's hands!

Went a little matchy-matchy for its first wear with the navy blazer, and added another shade of blue with the lighter blue Converse. With the matching navy dress and blazer, I couldn't resist trying a little more matchy-matchy with the accessories too, with my Polene Numero Neuf mini bag and this thrifted lilac necklace. Although not the same shades of lilac I often wear the two together, I think they are a great paring.

Last worn: Mimco earrings, navy blazer, lilac necklace, blue Converse, Polene Numero Neuf mini bag. It's the first time I've worn the dress as I got it from my sister's wardrobe clear out.

Other ways to wearnavy blazer and skirt, blue Converse and denim dress, Polene Numero Neuf mini bag and jeans.

What I wore:

Jacket: Cotton On black jersey longline blazer from my sister's wardrobe
Necklace: thrifted pastel pink and wooden hexagon bead necklace
Dress: Target navy and white striped shift dress with frill sleeves
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bracelets: the usual
BagPolene numero neuf mini in textured mauve

Why I wore it:

I liked the outfit combination above so I repeated a very similar one for my next day in the office, again with another piece from my sister's wardrobe! This navy and white striped dress was a fashion market find a few years ago, and I wore it with this very cosy black blazer my sister no longer wanted. I don't mind wearing navy and black together, but to make it look a little more intentional I matched the blazer with the black Converse.

Once again I wore my lilac Polene Numero Neuf mini bag, it looks so good with navy! And another pastel necklace, this blush pink and wooden bead one. Nice easy outfit for work.

Last worn: Target navy stripe dress, blush necklace, black Converse, Polene Numero Neuf mini bag (above). First time I've worn the black blazer as it's from my sister's wardrobe.

Other ways to wear: Target navy stripe dress and scarf, black Converse and jeans, Polene Numero Neuf mini bag and skirt

Floral Dresses and Black Bags

Two colourful floral print dress outfits I've worn with black strappy sandals and black Rebecca Minkoff bags.

What I wore:

Earrings: gold angel stud earrings
Necklace: For King & Country Priceless Australian coin and crest necklace
Dress: Orange Sherbet Zoe tiered dress in geranium print pink
Shoes: thrifted Anko Kmart black strappy sandals
Bracelets: the usual plus vintage silver charm bracelet
BagRebecca Minkoff medium unlined tote in black with shellac studded dome hardware

Why I wore it:

I had a hard time picking what to wear for this day as I had to WFH in the morning, but picked my son up from school early for an important appointment.

In the end I settled on this pretty red floral tiered maxi dress I'd worn recently for a birthday party, along with simple black sandals and my black unlined Rebecca Minkoff tote bag to store a copy of some of the documents we needed to bring.

This was the perfect outfit to wear in the end - the dress even has pockets, it makes me smile every time I wear it as the print and colours are just so cheerful. Might have been a little overdressed for working from home, but it was comfortable and was ideal for that afternoon appointment, and for when my mum and sister came over in the evening.

Last worn: gold angel stud earrings, For King & Country necklace, Orange Sherbet floral tiered maxi dress, strappy sandals, Rebecca Minkoff unlined tote bag.

Other ways to wearOrange Sherbet floral tiered maxi dress for Christmas, strappy sandals and skirt, Rebecca Minkoff unlined tote bag and shorts.

What I wore:

Jacket: Anko Kmart classic denim jacket
Necklace: Tiffany & Co pink double heart tag pendant necklace
Dress: thrifted no label pastel floral print babydoll dress
Shoes: thrifted Anko Kmart black strappy sandals
Bagthrifted Rebecca Minkoff vintage Cupid satchel in dark navy blue

Why I wore it:

This was a cooler day so I was happy to wear this denim jacket over the floral babydoll dress for church. I got the denim jacket from the opshop in one of our pre-Christmas opshopping trips, when I saw it I grabbed it right away! Luckily it was my size so mum got it for me for Christmas. I liked the darker blue denim with the light pastel floral print on the dress.

Again I went with black sandals as it wasn't that cold, and it did warm up nicely later. I also wore my little Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag, as I felt I hadn't taken it out in a while, and it matches nicely with the sandals. It's actually a really dark navy, but when the bag and shoes are worn far apart they both look black.

Last worn: Tiffany necklace, floral babydoll dress, black sandals (above), Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag. First time I've worn the denim jacket as it was a Christmas present.

Other ways to wear: floral babydoll dress and blazer, black sandals and jeans, Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag and jeans.

Red Printed Dresses With Chloe Marcie Shoulder Bag

Two long and colourful red printed dresses for a weekend of kids birthday parties recently. With both red dresses I wore my medium Chloe Marcie shoulder bag.

What I wore:

Necklacevintage gold initial necklace
DressKmart red flora printed wrap dress
Shoes: Kmart tan crossover slides
Bracelets: the usual
BagChloe Marcie medium shoulder bag in nut

Why I wore it:

Wore this for a birthday party at our local indoor play place. It was very loud, as it was a wet day so the entire area had been booked out and there were a lot of kids running around! But the kids had fun and that was the main thing.

Wore this pretty Kmart coral printed wrap dress as it was overdue another wear - I like the cheerful coral shade and dresses are an easy go to for me for any event as I don't have to think too hard about my outfit, one and done!

I had the kids water bottles as well so the Chloe Marcie bag was perfect as it fits all my essentials and more.

Last worn: initial necklace, coral red print wrap dress, tan slides, Chloe Marcie shoulder bag.

Other ways to wearcoral red print wrap dress for Christmas, tan slides and jeans, Chloe Marcie shoulder bag and skirt.

What I wore:

EarringsMIMCO fleur stud silver earrings
Necklace: Tiffany & Co pink double heart tag pendant necklace
Dress: Orange Sherbet Zoe tiered dress in geranium print pink
Shoes: thrifted Seed Heritage tan braided sandals
Bracelets: the usual plus vintage charm bracelet
BagChloe Marcie medium shoulder bag in nut

Why I wore it:

Another weekend day, another birthday party! It was a really hot and humid day so I went for this pretty tiered maxi dress, it's nice on warm days. And after I wore it for Christmas I'm challenging myself to wear it more often, I love it every time I do wear it so it doesn't make sense to "save" it for special occasions. We had a birthday party in the morning and then I attended an event at church. This floral dress met the garden event theme perfectly!

Again I wore the Chloe Marcie shoulder bag, and went a little matchy-matchy with the tan sandals. As in the first outfit, they don't match the bag exactly, but I like the different shades of brown together with the red printed dress.

Last worn: floral earrings, Tiffany heart necklace, Orange Sherbet floral maxi dress, braided sandals, Chloe Marcie shoulder bag (above).

Other ways to wear: Orange Sherbet floral maxi dress worn 2 ways, braided sandals and skirt, Chloe Marcie shoulder bag and jeans.
