Yellow Bag with Pink and Floral Print Outfits

Why I wore it:

This was a really hot spring day that felt like summer, so this pastel floral print babydoll dress was the perfect outfit to wear. I added the simple braided sandals as it was much too hot for closed in shoes!

Had to take my son to a birthday party, and had a couple of errands to run and groceries to buy. I liked the simplicity of this dress for such a hot day.

With the yellow in the print of the dress, this mustard Rebecca Minkoff Regan bag was a nice matchy-matchy accessory.

Why I wore it:

This was a cooler spring day, but still with floral print and some pink, with these pink frayed hem jeans. I thought the yellow bag would be a fun accessory with this, although it doesn't quite match the outfit like it did when I wore it with the dress. There is yellow in the floral print of my cover up, and I added more yellow with the yellow necklace, although they are different shades I thought the colours in this all worked nicely together.

I wore this simple navy tee that's been getting a lot of wear lately as I wanted a nice neutral piece to wear with all the pink and yellow. I really liked this outfit and I'm glad I was inspired to give the yellow and pink colour combination another try thanks to the dress above.

Kmart Anko Floral Midi Dresses And Yellow Bags

Two very different Kmart Anko floral midi dresses I wore to the office recently, both accessorised with Converse and yellow crossbody bags.

Why I wore it:

I really like how great this dress is for the office! It was a bargain $12 Kmart clearance sale find a while back and it always gets compliments. This is the first time I've tired wearing it with yellow and I really liked the combination. The yellow Rebecca Minkoff mini 5-zip bag was a great pop against the teal floral dress.

I kept the rest of the accessories simple with a Tiffany necklace and my comfortable blue Converse for the commute to work.

Why I wore it:

Another Kmart floral midi dress, this one a lucky $2 find! It's definitely a firm favourite, as like the one above it's perfect casually and in the office too. I've been on a bit of a yellow bag kick recently so again I tried a yellow bag with this floral dress. The mustard micro Regan hasn't been worn in a while, it was good to get it out again. Just like in the outfit above, it doesn't match any of the colours in the dress, but I enjoyed the pop of colour it gave against the mostly black dress.

Wore my black Converse with this, again as they are such comfortable shoes for the commute! And also because my sister had the kids, I met up with them after I finished work and we headed out to check out the Titanic exhibition in the city. It was an interesting way to end the work day.

Blue Printed Dresses and Pink Crossbody Bags

Enjoying warmer spring weekends in two different blue printed dresses, both accessorised with little pink crossbody bags.

Why I wore it:

Wore this for lunch at my parent's place down the coast. My sister got me this dress for Christmas and it's so beautiful! First time I've worn it with this Rebecca Minkoff studded MAB crossbody bag, but I liked the muted pink with the pale blue print of the dress. Sadly did manage to spill food on this dress, but thankfully it washed off! And given that this is the fourth time I've worn this dress I'm surprised it hasn't been spilled on more often already, ha!

Added silver statement earrings with this rather than a necklace, although unfortunately they are a little hard to see in the photos. And just a pair of simple sandals for the heat. These ones I picked up at the opshop in winter, knowing they'd be great in the warmer weather.

Why I wore it:

Another very warm weekend day had me pulling out another blue printed dress. This one was a $2 clearance sale find a couple of years ago and I love wearing it every spring and summer! It was too hot to consider wearing anything other than this light sundress and simple sandals. We had an appointment in the afternoon, but the rest of the day was spent just enjoying the warm weather.

I really liked the pink Rebecca Minkoff mini 5-zip bag with this outfit, even though it's a different shade from the blush pink in the print of the dress and the blush pink beads on my necklace.

Thrifted Printed Dresses And Purple Paraty Bag

Two more summer-ish outfits, with these thrifted printed dresses. I wore these at the end of winter, when Brisbane forgot about spring and swapped to hot and humid summer temps. It was nice to get these dresses out without all the layers!

What I wore:

Why I wore it:

Wore this for working from home with the school run, and watching my son get some awards at school. It was such a got day so this light floral dress was ideal for the humidity. It was a good chance to wear these sandals for the first time too. I thrifted them back in July, when it was firmly winter in Brisbane, and I've been waiting for a chance to the weather to warm up to wear them. They are very cute and comfortable.

With the light floral dress, wooden beaded necklace and bracelets, the purple Paraty seemed a bit dark with all the lighter colours and neutrals, but I'm so glad I picked this bag. It works well with the colours in the floral print of the dress and it fit all the essentials plus my camera for taking photos at the award ceremony.

Also, with the Chloe Paraty bag being a preloved buy, everything I'm wearing in this outfit except the bracelets is a second hand purchase!

Why I wore it:

Like the sandals above, this dress was also a winter opshop find. I did try layer it up for the colder weather but it didn't really work. I much more enjoyed this way of wearing it. It was a super hot day and we headed out to a local festival. Lots of walking and time in the sunshine, so this light and floaty smock dress was perfect. I added the Sketchers sneakers for comfort for my knee injury when walking, and I have to confess I liked the matchy-matchy with the blues in the grid print of the dress and the blue beaded necklace.

Again I wore my Chloe purple Paraty bag. I like it with blues and just like in the first outfit, it fits all the essentials and then a little extra so I had space for water bottles as well.

Floral Dresses, Trench Coats And Purple Small Paraty Bag

Felt like I'd been wearing a lot of jeans this winter, so changed it up a little and layered these Kmart floral midi dresses with trench coats and tall boots for days in the office recently. Despite the different colours in the dresses, I wore my wine purple Chloe Paraty bag with both.

Why I wore it:

Surprisingly the first time I've worn this teal dress with the purple Chloe Paraty bag before! I was sure this wasn't a new combination and one that I'd worn before, but a quick search through the blog proved otherwise.

I really liked the teal floral print with the purple bag, especially with the tall tan boots and the navy trench coat adding some neutrals.

Had a busy day with some time in the office then an appointment for my son after school pick up.

Decided to tie the neckline on this pretty floral midi dress up, which meant I accessorised with some statement earrings as the bow at the neck didn't really need a necklace. I liked how the turquoise in the earrings is a close match to the blue in the print of the dress. 

The tan trench coat and again the tall boots were definitely needed on this colder morning. It was an early start for a big day in the office, so a lack of sunlight for the photos sadly, hard to see how cute this dress looks belted!

Two very different Kmart printed dresses I wore for a weekend a couple of weeks ago when it was a little warmer! Both bags accessorised with my little Rebecca Minkoff aqua mini MAC that goes with everything.

Why I wore it:

I did feel a little overdressed for this in the morning when we had a couple of playdates, but that evening we were going out for a birthday dinner and one outfit felt easier for the day! This coral print wrap dress is one mum got me for Christmas, I love how colourful it is. Although this is the first time I've tried the aqua mini MAC bag with it, I really liked the combination. It was the perfect size too as I didn't need to carry much for the playdates or for dinner.

Why I wore it:

I had planned to wear a denim jacket over this, but it was a nice warm morning so I went without one. I definitely needed it in the afternoon though when it started to cool down, with winter just over a week away here in Brisbane it's getting chilly!

It was a nice sunny day for a couple of errands and then a little browse in the opshop - donating a few more things and taking advantage of the 'fill a bag of books for $5' sale to pick up some more books for myself and for the kids. I'm keeping up with my 100 books a year reading goal, the extra commutes into the office now I'm working in there more often help! I'm at 63 books read so far this year, and I'm always picking up books in the opshops in case I don't have any hold requests available when we are on our weekly library trip.

Why I wore it:

I actually wore this back on easter Sunday at the end of March! I can be a bit behind with sharing photos to the blog sometimes. We had our annual lunch at my parent's and I wanted to look dressed up but be comfortable for all the good food too - this loose dress seemed like a great choice. After running around the back garden for the egg hunt I did question why I picked a mostly white dress to wear...luckily I kept it clean!

Even though the hardware on the Rebecca Minkoff small love bag is silver, I went with gold earrings and my gold necklace. I didn't mind the mixed metals as they were quite far apart.

Why I wore it:

Another easy blue printed dress and slides outfit, even accessorised this navy leaf print dress with the same small peachy Love bag. I've worn this little orange bag with the dress before, I feel with the autumn leaves colours in the print the peach small Love bag is a nice complimenting accessory, even if it's not an exact match.

Just like last time I wore the dress and bag together, this was also for another birthday party! I unexpectedly had to run a few errands beforehand where I felt a little overdressed, but I was perfectly attired for the party that afternoon. While I didn't wear the gold earrings with this I did wear the same gold necklace too, and same slides too. When you have a winning formula why change it?

Belted Printed Dresses With Converse and Polene Numero Neuf Mini Bag

Getting two pretty printed dresses out again that hadn't been worn in a while. While both are very different in style, colour and print, they both work so well for a day in the office. And my little lilac Polene Numero Neuf mini bag compliments each of them nicely!

Why I wore it:

I'm not sure why I haven't hit 30 wears with this dress yet - it was such an office staple pre-pandemic! It's been a little neglected lately so it was good to get it out again. Despite the darker navy and black in the print, I thought the light blue Converse would be a good accessory with it and I liked the combination. Dressed this up a little with some gold accessories - the pretty glitter belt always gets compliments! And much like the dress, this statement necklace hasn't been worn in a while either and was overdue another wear. Was good to get them both out again!

I did have a lunch date in the city during the work day, but still didn't need to carry much, especially as I have a big work issued laptop bag I take to the office with me. So this little Polene Numero Neuf mini bag was all I needed for carrying the essentials. And I really like the pastel lilac against the navy of the ikat print on the dress.

Why I wore it:

Another printed dress for the office. This one comes with it's own long sash belt in the same fabric as the dress, but I did really like the glitter belt with the dress above so maybe I should have tried the glitter belt with this dress too! Something to remember for next time I wear it. The pink resin earrings are something I've worn with this dress in the past, as are the black Converse which go with everything.

I like pink and blue and purple together, so with the light pink and blue in the wisteria floral print of the dress the little lilac Polene Numero Neuf mini bag again seemed like a great accessory. And I loved the dress and bag together, one of those perfect combinations! Like the earrings and Converse, I'm going to have to wear this bag again with this dress in future!

It was a busy day with a couple of errands and the school run to be fit in alongside working from home. I just wanted a simple outfit so reached for this dress I thrifted a while back for $1. Definitely getting good value from it! A pretty floral print dress like this is an easy instant outfit. I just added the slides I got for Christmas that I've been wearing on repeat, a couple of layered Tiffany necklaces to match the silver bracelets on my wrist, and then the lilac Polene bag for a little extra colour and because I didn't need to carry much. I really like the lilac numero neuf mini bag against the pinks and pastel floral print of the dress.

Why I wore it:

The first days of autumn in Brisbane are still pretty hot, so I wanted something light to wear. This Kmart little black tiered sundress is a favourite for hot days like this was. It was perfect for staying cool and comfortable while working from home, and taking the kids for a haircut after school pickup in the afternoon.

Navy Havaianas as I needed something easy and we weren't walking far. With the black dress though, even adding the little magenta and gold marble necklace didn't quite brighten this outfit up enough, so I wore my Polene Numero Neuf mini bag again. I loved the way the lilac stood out against the black printed background of the dress. It's not the first time I've worn a pastel bag with this little black dress, I really like the combination!
