What I wore:
Necklace: thrifted burgundy and cream beaded statement necklace
Tee: thrifted Cotton on grey tunic tee
Skirt: thrifted Billabong 'Don't Think Of It' bikini red printed maxi skirt
Shoes: Converse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bag: vintage original Rebecca Minkoff 5-zip in faded electric blue
Why I wore it:
It's been a while since I got this red printed maxi skirt out! An opshop find from years ago, I hit 30 wears with it pretty quickly and since then often pass it up in favour of those I haven't gotten so many wears with. It was definitely overdue another wear, and good to get it out to ass some colour to this dark grey tee.
It was nice and comfortable for working from home too, and the statement necklace I felt dressed up the grey tee a little for video calls. I added the denim jacket for the morning dog walk, and also needed it for the school run. I had to pick my son up early from school to take him to an appointment in the city. The Converse were good for all that driving, and my Rebecca Minkoff 5-zip bag fits the essentials plus my latest small library read for sitting in the waiting room.
Last worn: denim jacket, wooden statement necklace, grey tee, red printed maxi skirt, black Converse, Rebecca Minkoff 5-zip bag.
Other ways to wear: denim jacket and orange skirt, grey tee and shorts, red printed maxi skirt worn 30 ways, black Converse and dress, Rebecca Minkoff 5-zip bag and shorts.
Perfect for pregnancy: Converse in second trimester.
What I wore:
Necklace: thrifted gold and pastel blue beaded necklace with grey string
Tee: Jeanswest 'Lucy' colour block tee in grey marle/rosebud
Skirt: Ally Fashion blue border print floral maxi skirt
Shoes: Converse Chuck Taylor All Star in pink foam
Bag: vintage original Rebecca Minkoff 5-zip in faded electric blue
Why I wore it:
Another grey tee and maxi skirt outfit for working from home, with the same denim jacket and Rebecca Minkoff 5-zip bag. Did swap out my black Converse for some pink ones though for the school run and a quick errand in the afternoon.
When I put this outfit together I felt it was a bit pink. With the pink Converse, the pink floral print in the skirt, and the pink back panel on this tee, I went with a blue beaded necklace to try bring some blue into this outfit. It's so funny as looking at the photos I definitely feel it's more a blue than a pink outfit! The pink panel on the back of the tee is hidden, but even so I thought a pink bag with this would have been too much so I went with the blue 5-zip again. It's funny sometimes how different outfits seem when I'm wearing them compared to the photographs I take of them! Either way, I liked this outfit, I was just surprised I remembered it being so pink heavy when it's clearly not in the photo!
