What I wore:
Tee: Jeanswest Ruby frill sleeve Ric Rac detailed tee in deep iris
Skirt: thrifted Ghanda midi slink skirt in green mini blossom
Shoes: Converse Chuck Taylor All Star coast blue
Bracelets: the usual
Bag: Chloe periwinkle small Paraty
Why I wore it:
I got the idea from this outfit from a colleague in the office, who looked amazing in her peach midi slip skirt. I did feel a little self conscious in this though. While it's a modest midi length, the side slit is quite high and I kept fussing with the skirt all day wondering if it was too high-cut for the office.Issue with the side slit aside, I really liked this outfit. The navy tee was perfect with this skirt, and I didn't wear a blazer as I wanted to show off the cute frill sleeves. Converse because they are the unofficial shoe of choice in the office nowadays!
While the periwinkle blue of the Chloe Paraty bag doesn't match the navy tee, I liked the extra shade of blue it added to this outfit with the tee and the blue Converse.
Last worn: frill sleeve tee, station necklace, green floral midi skirt, blue Converse, Chloe periwinkle Paraty.
Other ways to wear: frill sleeve tee and pink shorts, green floral midi skirt and band tee, blue Converse and denim dress, Chloe periwinkle Paraty and maxi dress.
Chloe Small Paraty: Review and What's In My Bag
What I wore:
Necklace: Kmart black and gold double strand beaded necklace
Top: H&M mint v-neck cami
Skirt: Warehouse navy jacquard pencil skirt
Shoes: Converse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bracelets: the usual
Bag: Chloe periwinkle small Paraty
Why I wore it:
Another skirt and Converse outfit, and again with the green and blue. This jacquard pencil skirt is a slightly warmer one being a thicker fabric, which I needed for spending the day working in our coldest office. The blazer I just wore for these photos and to combat the freezing aircon in the office, as it was such a hot and humid day. This spaghetti strap cami and pencil skirt felt much too hot for the heat outside, even without the blazer, but I enjoyed being layered up with the blazer at my desk.I really liked this mint cami with the navy blazer and skirt. I scored the blazer at the opshop last year knowing I'd be in the office a little more this year, it's turning out to be a really good buy!
As above, while the Chloe periwinkle Paraty doesn't match I think it compliments the darker shades of blue in this outfit nicely.
Last worn: navy blazer, beaded necklace, mint cami, jacquard pencil skirt, black Converse, Chloe periwinkle Paraty (above).
Other ways to wear: navy blazer and floral dress, mint cami and denim skirt, jacquard pencil skirt with pink, black Converse and jeans, Chloe periwinkle Paraty and shorts.
Perfect for pregnancy: Converse in second trimester.

Both of these outfits are so cute! I love your skirt in the first look. I know what you mean about the slit but it's such a fun print!

I almost combined navy with my very similar printed skirt on Sunday! Now I am truly going to have to do it because I really like these 2 outfits.

Hope you can give it a go! Navy and green look great together!
DeleteLove these two outfits in blue and green on you! Your core pieces are so versatile to mix and match. I like this combination so much, I am coincidentally wearing the same colors on my blog post this week. Thanks for sharing and have a good week!
ReplyDeleteIt is such a good combination! Great minds think alike!
DeleteYour Chloe bag compliments both looks so well and it has such fabulous details. And how great are both of these outfits? You've got the casual/profession office outfit formula down to a science.

Both looks are super cute!
ReplyDeleteBoth are excellent outfits, Mica! The bag adds interest with a 3rd shade/colour - it's much better than being fully matchy. I wonder if you could wear a thin pair of flesh-toned shorts with the high-slit skirt? I usually wear wee shorts with anything I own that is too high/too short.
ReplyDeleteI like the shorts idea! I don't find this split too high in everyday wear, I just worried it was maybe a bit high-cut for the office. Still covers everything nicely, just maybe not office suitable!
DeleteThis feels like such a fresh color combination—think it will be great for spring, if it ever comes!

That is a good color combo. Perhaps wear bike shorts under the skirt so you don't feel exposed by the side slit?
ReplyDeleteIt's a good idea! I like this skirt worn casually outside the office and don't think it shows too much, I just worried maybe it was a bit too high for the office?
DeleteI have a skirt with a slit like that, but I usually wear a dress extender with it to fill in the slit. I keep thinking I'll sew it shut a little but I haven't gotten around to it,

Dress extender is a good idea! It really hasn't been an issue any other time I've worn this skirt, just had me thinking maybe it wasn't the best for the office being such a high slit.
DeleteWow, that first outfit is gorgeous! I love that beautiful shirt with the frill sleeves. What an incredible piece. I'm sorry that you felt a little self conscious in the skirt. It looks beautiful! Obsessed with the second outfit as well. That navy blazer is SO CUTE and the skirt is stunning. You have such beautiful items in your wardrobe!
ReplyDeletethe creation of beauty is art.
It is a great skirt, just not sure I'll wear it in the office again!
DeleteYou look fabulous in these colors, Mica! I love both of them and couldn't pick a favorite! Of course, the bag is amazing!!

Your skirt is so nice and I like your bag too. Adding a blazer made the outfit stand out.
ReplyDeleteI love both of these navy and green outfits, Mica! And the periwinkle purse is perfect with it. I have a periwinkle purse and struggle to match it with outfits. Thanks for the idea!
