Green and Black Denim Skirts Outfits With Floral Bag

Wearing my little hand painted floral mini MAB tote bag, with green and black denim skirt outfits.

What I wore:

Tank: Target embroidered khaki tank
Skirt: thrifted Target black stretch denim skirt
Shoes: black matte slim Havaianas
Bracelets: the usual plus Mimco gunmetal twisted bracelet stack
Bag: Mica Bag - Rebecca Minkoff mini MAB side zip tote in pale lilac hand painted by Sheila

Why I wore it:

Pulled out this pretty little floral hand-painted mini MAB bag again for a couple of days to give me a bit of  a boost. It's a beautiful design, painted by the wonderful Sheila. With the green in the leaves it paired perfectly with this olive green embroidered tank. I picked the black denim skirt to wear with it as it was a bit matchy-matchy also, with the embroidery on the tank.

It was another super hot and humid day so I needed a nice simple outfit like this for the school run, although I did spend most of my day relaxing at home between the school drop off and pick up, watching my other sun as he recovered from surgery.

Last worn: olive embroidered tank, black denim skirt, matte Havaianas, bracelet stack, Rebecca Minkoff hand painted mini MAB tote bag.

What I wore:

Jacket: thrifted no label leopard print cover up with waist tie
Necklace: thrifted neutral silicone and wood bead necklace
Tee: thrifted black scoop neck H&M tee
Skirt: Jeanswest light olive denim skirt
ShoesNike Court Royale white and beige sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
Bag: Mica Bag - Rebecca Minkoff mini MAB side zip tote in pale lilac hand painted by Sheila

Why I wore it:

This outfit is a bit busier than the first one above, as I added the leopard print cover up for some extra arm coverage as my son and I spent a bit of time in the aircon for his post surgery check up and stitches removal. He was really brave!

It's not the first time I've worn this floral bag with animal print, I feel nothing can really overpower the bag as it's such a pretty statement piece, it always draws all the attention in an outfit. Such a fun bag to wear.

Again I wore green and black, with this black tee and light olive denim skirt. Sneakers instead of Havaianas this time, as I had a bit of driving around to do with the school run for my other son and the appointment for the check up with the surgeon.

Floral Print Dresses And Denim Tote Bag

Two more dress outfits with this upcycled Re-Up denim tote bag, that's been on frequent repeat lately. Last time I wore this bag with dresses it was with block colour linen tiered dresses, but in this post I'm sharing when I wore it with floral dresses.

What I wore:

Necklace: Tiffany & Co pink double heart tag pendant necklace
Dress: thrifted no label pastel floral print babydoll dress
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star coast blue
Bracelets: the usual plus faux pearl and gold beaded bracelet stack
Bag: thrifted re-Up upcycled denim tote bag

Why I wore it:

This was another warm day at the end of summer, I wore this for another day off I had to continue to care for my son as he recovered from surgery. After the school run for my other son, we had a doctor's appointment, and then just relaxed at home again until it was time to pick my son up from school, and we had my parents over in the afternoon.

This light floral print dress is such a fun one to wear, it was a lucky $1 opshop find and can be worn with anything. This blue denim upcycled tote bag was a good pairing with it as I needed a big tote for our water bottles and some books to read to pass time in the doctor's waiting room. I wore the blue Converse for a little matchy-matchy, although they are different shades of blue I liked both blue accessories with the peachy-pink floral print in the dress.

Last worn: Tiffany necklace, floral print babydoll dress, faux pearl bracelet stack, blue Converse, Re-UP upcycled denim tote bag.

Other ways to wearfloral print babydoll dress with purple, blue Converse and skirt, Re-UP upcycled denim tote bag and shorts.

What I wore:

Earrings: thrifted red dinosaur skeleton earrings
DressAtmos & Here Willow printed tee dress
ShoesAdidas Superstar sneakers
Bracelets: the usual plus Vinnies blue and natural wooden bead bracelet stack
Bag: thrifted re-Up upcycled denim tote bag

Why I wore it:

This was a return to school for my son after he got clearance post-surgery, and a returning to working from home for me. I wanted to be comfortable in the heat, it was still so hot near the end of summer! So I wore this cute green floral print dress that was overdue a wear. For something a little different I added the red dinosaur earrings. They are a nice match with the red in the floral print on the dress.

I've worn this dress with red a few times in the past, and you can see them all in my 30 ways to wear post with this green floral dress. While I just had the school run and then working from home, I didn't need to carry a lot with me. But I still wore this fun denim tote bag as it's so enjoyable to wear!

Last worn: dinosaur earrings, green floral shift dress, turquoise bracelet stack, Adidas Superstar sneakers, Re-UP upcycled denim tote bag (above).

Grey Tees and Black and White Printed Maxi Skirts

Two different grey tee outfits, both with black and white maxi skirts. The first outfit is a little more colourful than the second outfit as I added some pink. Pink always looks good with neutrals, in any shade.

What I wore:

Necklace: Kmart pink multi-colour beaded necklace
Tee: Jeanswest 'Lucy' colour block tee in grey marle/rosebud
Skirt: thrifted SES Fashions vertical stripe maxi skirt
Shoesslim navy and pink Havaianas
Bracelets: the usual plus pink and gold bracelet stack
BagRebecca Minkoff MAB crossbody with studs in desert rose

Why I wore it:

When I put on this grey tee with the pink back panel I thought it would add a nice touch of colour to this black and white vertical striped maxi skirt. But then I decided the outfit needed a little more pink and started adding pink accessories. The pink Rebecca Minkoff studded MAB crossbody bag and the pink bracelet stack and the pink beaded necklace don't match the bright pink panel on the tee at all, but I actually liked all the different shades with this. Neutrals like grey and black and white are a nice excuse to try add some differently coloured accessories, and it's nice there were all in the pink family.

Wore this for a quiet day, with the school run and working from home.

Another grey tee and black and white maxi skirt outfit. This grey tee is a bit darker, and with the black and white maxi skirt again I decided to add a little colour. This darker geometric beaded necklace seemed like a nice touch of colour with all the neutrals. I liked the longer sleeves on this tee to keep me warm in the colder aircon too.

Comfortable Converse sneakers were perfect with this and I liked the matchy-matchy with the black and white skirt. My son had surgery and an overnight stay in the hospital. I had an overnight bag packed, but the big Louis Vuitton Neverfull was perfect for a few things to entertain him and myself in the wait before surgery for him and the during surgery wait for me.

I wore this a couple weeks ago, he's at home now and healing well.

Last worn: grey tunic tee, geometric beaded necklace, black and white maxi skirt, black Converse, Louis Vuitton Neverfull tote bag.

Other ways to weargrey tunic tee and jeans, black and white maxi skirt with pink, black Converse and shortsLouis Vuitton Neverfull worn 30 ways.

Tiered Linen Dresses and Upcycled Denim Tote Bag

When I shared in my wardrobe update post that I'd bought this upcycled denim tote bag I mentioned I love wearing it with dresses, just like I'm doing in both of these outfits.

What I wore:

NecklaceZuriCollections blue polymer clay necklace
DressKmart short sleeve tiered frill mini dress in Papaya
Shoes: thrifted Seed Heritage tan braided sandals
Bracelets: the usual plus Vinnies blue and natural wooden bead bracelet stack
Bag: thrifted re-Up upcycled denim tote bag

Why I wore it:

Despite it being officially autumn in Queensland, and it being the end of summer when I wore this, it was a hot and humid day so I felt like I needed a nice light linen dress. There was the school drop off and a quick errand to run before it was back home to look after my son who was recovering from surgery.

This dress is such a nice bright mango yellow shade, and I love the way the blue wash of the jeans turned tote bag works with it. I added the blue beaded necklace to match the bag, and then the turquoise beaded bracelet stack was another touch of blue against the yellow dress too.

Last worn: beaded necklace, Kmart linen dress, turquoise beaded bracelet stack, braided sandals, upcycled denim tote bag.

Other ways to wearKmart linen dress and orange bag, braided sandals and skirt, upcycled denim tote bag and shorts.

What I wore:

Necklace: thrifted Eb&Ive turquoise wooden bead multi strand statement necklace
Dress: Anko Kmart short sleeved tiered linen dress in coco brown
ShoesNike Court Royale white and beige sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
Bag: thrifted re-Up upcycled denim tote bag

Why I wore it:

Another hot summer day, so another Kmart linen dress! I wore sneakers with this brown tiered linen dress as we had a bit of driving to do! We had to pick up a birthday present and then we went to a birthday party in the afternoon. My son had so much fun at the party, it was worth the confusion of getting lost on the way there, as I hadn't been to the venue before and the GPS was not as helpful as it could have been with the directions, ha!

While the venue was air conditioned I appreciated this light dress very much for the rest of the day. I had to bring water bottles for my son and I, so again I wore this upcycled denim tote bag. Just like in the first outfit with the brighter dress I added wooden turquoise accessories, this multi strand statement beaded necklace was a great pop of colour against the neutral brown linen dress, even if it doesn't match the blue denim wash of the tote bag.

Orange and Grey Tee and Skirt Outfits With Yellow Bag

Two different outfits, even though they both feature skirts, tees, and grey orange and yellow colours together.

What I wore:

Necklace: thrifted bronze foil statement necklace
Tee: Anko Kmart short sleeve slub v-neck tee in lead grey
Skirtthrifted Tree of Life ochre maxi skirt
Shoes: Kmart tan crossover slides
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff yellow mini 5 zip

Why I wore it:

Wanted something comfortable to wear for a day of working from home, with an outing to the vets for the dogs, the school run, and sports in the evening. Maxi skirts are great for evening sports as the long length is a bit of a physical blocker for mozzies, although I do liberally apply bug spray too!

I really liked this grey tee with the ochre orange of the maxi skirt, I thought it was a really nice combination. It's not the first time I've worn grey with this orange skirt, but it is the first time I've worn this particular tee with the skirt. Definitely something I'll need to wear again.

I added the yellow mini 5-zip bag as I thought it was a fun pop of colour with the neutral grey tee, and I like it against the orange skirt as well.

Last worn: grey tee, bronze foil necklace, ochre maxi skirt, tan slides, yellow mini 5 zip bag.

Other ways to weargrey tee and midi skirt, ochre maxi skirt and denim jacket, tan slides and jeans, yellow mini 5 zip bag and dress.

What I wore:

Earrings: neutral clay disc earrings
Necklace: thrifted yellow beaded statement pendant long necklace
TeeSass and Bide 'New Day Rising' tee in orange leopard print
Skirt: Salvos Nobody Denim grey distressed denim skirt
Shoes: black matte slim Havaianas
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff yellow mini 5 zip

Why I wore it:

Another tee and skirt outfit for working from home, with the school run and a playdate in the afternoon. This time around I went with an orange tee and a grey distressed denim skirt, and again I wore my little yellow Rebecca Minkoff Mini 5-zip bag. Although it's the same basic formula I like how different this outfit looked.

I really like this distressed denim skirt, it was an opshop find. It goes so well with any tees, and I like the fun neon leopard print one with it. Just like in the first outfit, I find the yellow mini 5-zip bag is a nice pop of colour against the neutral grey. Although the orange in this outfit is much brighter than in the skirt, it still pairs so nicely as well.

Last worn: earrings, leopard tee, yellow pendant necklace, grey denim skirt, Havaianas, Rebecca Minkoff yellow mini 5 zip bag (above).

Other ways to wearleopard tee and jeans, grey denim skirt with purple, Rebecca Minkoff yellow mini 5 zip bag and dress.

Kmart Linen Shorts and Blue Printed Cover Ups With Upcycled Denim Tote Bag

Two colourful linen shorts outfits I wore recently, with blue printed cover ups and my awesome upcycled denim tote bag.

What I wore:

DusterJeanswest Kensley summer tie-dye kimono
Necklace: Uniquely Made with Love Sea Change necklace
Tank: Jeanswest Maya gather back tank in chartreuse
Shorts: thrifted Kmart turquoise linen shorts
Shoes:  slim navy and pink Havaianas
Bracelets: the usual
Bag: thrifted re-Up upcycled denim tote bag

Why I wore it:

Bright and colourful for working from home and doing the school run. With the turquoise linen shorts, and the navy tie dye duster I added even more blue with this upcycled blue jeans turned into a tote bag. I didn't really need to carry that much to need such a big bag, but it was nice to have even more blue in this outfit. Even the blue beaded necklace and the navy Havaianas meet that theme. It's just the mustard yellow tank for a bit of contrasting colour. I like the way the yellow pops against the navy and the turquoise linen shorts.

Last worn: tie dye duster, blue beaded necklace, mustard tank, turquoise linen shorts, Havaianas. First time I've worn the upcycled denim tote bag as it's a recent opshop find.

Other ways to weartie dye duster and jeans, mustard tank and skirt, turquoise linen shorts and graphic tee.

What I wore:

JacketCotton On Alana Wanderlust kimono in floral mood indigo
Earrings: Mimco circle stud
Necklace: thrifted metallic clay bead necklace
TeeAtmos & Here white essential v-neck tee
Shorts: thrifted Kmart fuchsia linen blend shorts
ShoesSketchers Bountiful navy fabric sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
Bag: thrifted re-Up upcycled denim tote bag

Why I wore it:

Another hot and humid summer day in Brisbane, another pair of linen shorts! Like the turquoise pair above, these were also a lucky opshop find and are perfect on warm days. I went with a simple white tee as the shorts are colourful enough, and then added the floral print cover up for a bit of additional physical sunblock.

Unlike the first outfit, I needed all the capacity of the denim tote bag on this day as we had snacks and water bottles as we spent the day down the coast at Movie World, checking out the new Wizard of Oz rides. They were so much fun! All of the walking meant I picked my extra comfortable Sketchers sneakers for the extra support for my knee as well.

Last worn: blue printed cover up, blue beaded necklace, white tee, fuchsia pink linen shorts, Sketchers, Re-UP upcycled denim tote bag (above).

Other ways to wearblue printed cover up and skirt, white tee and jeans, fuchsia pink linen shorts and stripes, Sketchers and dress.

Fuchsia Pink Kmart Dresses and Cobalt Rebecca Minkoff Jumbo Love Bag

For a couple of office days recently I wore these Kmart fuchsia pink dresses, with my bright cobalt blue Rebecca Minkoff Jumbo Love bag. Blue and pink look so good together.

What I wore:

EarringsMichael Hill stud earrings with aqua cubic zirconia in sterling silver
Necklace: thrifted black and grey floral crystal statement necklace
Dressthrifted Kmart short sleeve godet skirt linen blend dress in fuchsia
Belt: came with dress
ShoesAdidas Superstar sneakers
Bracelets: the usual plus Mimco Slay to the rhythm bracelet in silver
BagRebecca Minkoff quilted jumbo Love bag in cobalt

Why I wore it:

I love this linen dress! It was a lucky $1 opshop find a while ago and I've never met an occasion it wasn't perfect for. I've even layered it up for winter before. It's so good on a humid summer day like this was though, and it is a nice style for the office. With the high neckline I added a statement necklace. This pretty sparkly one, also an opshop find, hadn't been worn in a while so it was overdue a wear. I thought it was a nice match with the silver hardware on the Rebecca Minkoff jumbo Love bag and my silver bracelet stack.

Just wore comfortable Adidas sneakers as there was a bit of driving around to do as I had to drop the kids off at school before heading into the office.

Last worn: blue stud earrings, statement necklace, pink linen dress, Adidas Superstar sneakers, Rebecca Minkoff jumbo Love bag.

Other ways to wearpink linen dress and purple bag, Adidas Superstar sneakers and jeans, Rebecca Minkoff jumbo Love bag and skirt.

What I wore:

Necklace: thrifted Mix Apparel clover designer inspired necklace
Dress: Kmart short sleeve tiered jersey dress in Fuchsia
ShoesNike Court Royale white and beige sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff quilted jumbo Love bag in cobalt

Why I wore it:

Another office day, another bright pink Kmart dress! This one is an old favourite I'm forever surprised has yet to hit 30 wears. Like the fuchsia pink linen dress in the outfit above, it's one I feel I reach for a lot as it works for every occasion. I was extremely pleased to get into the office and see that my colleagues had the same idea - with another colleague visiting us for a meeting in the afternoon, we'd all managed to pick out maxi dresses to wear that day! I love unintentional matching!

The necklace I picked out as I'd been talking about it with a friend the day before and felt it was a good reason to get it out again! And just as in the outfit above, comfortable sneakers to support my knee. And again I wore the bright cobalt blue Rebecca Minkoff jumbo Love bag as it really pops with fuchsia pink

Last worn: clover necklace, fuchsia pink midi dress, Nike Court Royale sneakers, Rebecca Minkoff jumbo Love bag (above).

Other ways to wearfuchsia pink midi dress and blazer, Nike Court Royale sneakers and shorts, Rebecca Minkoff jumbo Love bag and denim jacket.

Burgundy Tees, Black Denim Skirts, Printed Cover Ups And Mimco Mim-Mazing Bag

Two simple burgundy tee and black denim skirt outfits, with colourful cover ups and my Mimco Mim-Mazing crossbody bag.

What I wore:

Earrings: Piper gold heart earrings
Jacket: thrifted purple and red Paisley print duster
Necklace: thrifted bronze foil statement necklace
TeeCotton On The One sangria v-neck tee
SkirtNobody Denim Piper vacation skirt in black distressed denim
Shoes: Kmart tan crossover slides
Bracelets: the usual plus Mimco gunmetal twisted bracelet stack
BagMIMCO Mim-Mazing crossbody bag in black and light gold

Why I wore it:

Wore this for the school drop off, working from home, and an appointment in the afternoon before picking the kids up at school. While the red on this Paisley print duster is a lighter red, I think it pairs so nicely with deeper reds and this burgundy tee was overdue a wear. It was a super hot day, so a cute denim mini skirt was a practical choice to beat the heat, and then I had to go matchy-matchy with the Mimco Mim-Mazing crossbody bag. I did consider wearing black sandals with this to complete the matchy-matchy feel, but decided on these simple slides instead, mostly because I didn't have to look as hard for these as they were right by the door, ha!

Last worn: heart stud earrings, bronze foil necklace, twist bracelet stack, Paisley print cover up, burgundy tee, Nobody Denim skirt, tan slides, Mimco Mim-Mazing crossbody bag.

Other ways to wearPaisley print cover up and jeans, burgundy tee and shorts, Nobody Denim skirt with pink and purple, tan slides and dress, Mimco Mim-Mazing crossbody bag and jeans.

What I wore:

Jacket: thrifted Shein black floral print cover up
NecklaceRoie Designs coral beaded tassel necklace
TeeZalora Basics maroon stepped t-shirt
Skirt: thrifted Target black stretch denim skirt
Shoes:  slim navy and pink Havaianas
Bracelets: the usual
BagMIMCO Mim-Mazing crossbody bag in black and light gold

Why I wore it:

This black floral print thrifted cover up is a lovely sheer material, however it is polyester and I did regret picking it for that reason alone a few times on this day, as I ran around between stores as I had a couple errands and some groceries to buy. It got very hot!

I did like the way the black florals worked with the black denim skirt and the burgundy tee, the colours all look so good together. Like in the first outfit, the red in the print is lighter than the deep red of the tee, but again I liked the pieces together. It was just a very humid day and the extra layer in a not very breathable fabric wasn't ideal! I think the outfit would have been a little plain without that extra print though.

Last worn: floral cover up, beaded necklace, burgundy tee, black denim skirt, Havaianas, Mimco Mim-Mazing crossbody bag (above).

Other ways to wearfloral cover up and shorts, burgundy tee and maxi skirt, black denim skirt and blazer, Mimco Mim-Mazing crossbody bag and jeans.

Blue and Green Office Outfits With Skirts And Rebecca Minkoff Edie Shoulder Bag

Both of these green and blue outfits for work feature skirts, and very different shades of green and blue together, but I like the colour pairings in each of them.

What I wore:

EarringsMIMCO fleur stud silver earrings
Necklace: Tiffany & Co silver 5th Avenue notes heart pendant necklace
Top: Forever New Clara cowl neck sleeveless top in teal
SkirtWarehouse navy jacquard pencil skirt
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bracelets: the usual plus Mimco Slay to the rhythm bracelet in silver
BagRebecca Minkoff Edie regular shoulder bag in Luna blue

Why I wore it:

Felt like this lovely navy jacquard pencil skirt was overdue another wear! I used to wear pencil skirts most days to the office, but since embracing midi skirts lately my pencil skirts have been a little neglected. It was nice to get this out for another wear, and the black and navy works so well with the deep jewel green of this cowl neck tank. The tank was a Christmas present from my Mum and it's so perfect for the office, it got me a lot of compliments. I'll be wearing it more often!

Kept the casual Converse despite the rest of the dressed up outfit as I need comfortable shoes for the commute and running up and down stairs between meeting rooms in the office with my knee injury. Added another shade of blue to this outfit with the Luna blue Rebecca Minkoff Edie bag, it always works well with navy.

Last worn: Mimco earrings, Tiffany necklace, jacquard pencil skirt, black Converse, Rebecca Minkoff Edie shoulder bag. First time I've worn the top as it was a Christmas present.

Other ways to wearjacquard pencil skirt and blazer, black Converse and jeans, Rebecca Minkoff Edie shoulder bag and dress.

Perfect for pregnancy:  jacquard pencil skirt in first trimesterConverse in second trimester.

What I wore:

Necklace: Kelly's Kloset rainbow layered necklace
TankCle The Label Amelia tank in indigo
Skirt: Kmart breeze green broderie anglaise midi skirt
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star coast blue
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff Edie regular shoulder bag in Luna blue

Why I wore it:

Another green and blue outfit, this time in brighter shades. I really like this green broderie midi skirt, I wear it a lot over December as it seems so festive, but it gets worn now and then through the year as well. I paired it with this casual navy cotton tank, then worried it was a little too casual an outfit for the office as we had a colleague visiting. So I added the statement necklace to try dress this up a little, as it was much too hot for my usual go-to of a blazer. I love blazers for the office, but in the Brisbane summer heat and humidity, I really don't need another layer!

Once again I wore my Converse. They add another shade of blue to this outfit, and although they are different from the navy tank and the Luna blue Edie shoulder bag I like the different shades of blue together with the green broderie skirt.

Last worn: beaded necklace, navy tank, green broderie midi skirt, blue Converse, Rebecca Minkoff Luna blue Edie shoulder bag (above).

Other ways to wearnavy tank and jeans, green broderie midi skirt and printed tee, blue Converse and dress, Rebecca Minkoff Luna blue Edie shoulder bag and denim jacket.
