Black Blouses, Colourful Jeans and Denim Trench Coat

Black blouses with colourful jeans, black Converse and my Kmart denim trench coat for winter office days in Brisbane.

What I wore:

Jacket: Kmart Anko full length oversized denim trench coat
Earrings: DIY green and red marble clay circle earrings
Blouse: Kmart black batwing button up blouse
Jeans: thrifted ASOS petite green skinny jeans
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
BagMIMCO Mim-Mazing crossbody bag in black and light gold

Why I wore it:

It's been a while since I've worn these green jeans so they were overdue another wear! I've hit 30 wears with them since I thrifted them a few years ago, but they only get an outing on cooler days. I couldn't resist going a little matchy-matchy with the green clay earrings. With the black blouse, the black Converse and black Mimco Mim-Mazing crossbody bag were easy matchy choices as well. It wasn't too cold on this morning so the denim trench coat was all I needed to layer with for the commute to the office.

Last worn: denim trench coat, clay earrings, black blouse, green skinny jeans, black Converse, Mimco Mim-Mazing crossbody bag.

What I wore:

Jacket: Kmart Anko full length oversized denim trench coat
Necklace: thrifted burgundy and cream beaded statement necklace
Dress: thrifted Seed heritage black dolman sleeve blouse
Jeans: Jeanswest Harper skinny pant in Russet
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
BagRebecca Minkoff Love Too in deep teal croc embossed leather

Why I wore it:

I really like the statement voluminous sleeves on this black blouse, a recent thrift find. Unfortunately it makes it a little tricky to layer with. I was glad for the oversized relaxed fit of this denim trench as it accommodated the voluminous sleeves on the blouse nicely!

I couldn't resist a little matching in this outfit too, with the burgundy beaded necklace and burgundy jeans. Again I went with the same black Converse as I was wearing another black top. I did change up the bag this time around though, wearing my Rebecca Minkoff croc embossed Love Too bag.

Pink and Black Jeans and Tee Outfits With Love Too Bag

Two very different black and pink jeans and tee outfits, with patterned cover ups and my Rebecca Minkoff Love Too bag.

What I wore:

JacketRebecca Minkoff Ruana poncho
NecklaceRoie Designs coral beaded tassel necklace
TeeCotton On The One Deep V tee in marle nep white body black
Jeans: thrifted Zara pink frayed hem skinny jeans
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff Love Too in deep teal croc embossed leather

Why I wore it:

It was good to get this cosy knit out again! The perfect topper to keep me warm for a day with the school run, working from home and a quick errand in the afternoon. I always enjoy getting this knitted poncho out each winter, it's like wearing a giant blanket really! The black and white pattern adds a nice bit of an interest to any outfit I wear it with, and it is warm enough so I just needed a plain tee underneath.  Added a little colour with the pink frayed hem Zara jeans, an opshop find.

The necklace doesn't have any pink in it but I liked the simplicity of it against the textures white tee and the pastel orange was a nice colour worn with the pastel pink jeans.

Last worn: Rebecca Minkoff ruana, beaded necklace, textured white tee, pink frayed hem jeans, black Converse, Rebecca Minkoff Love Too bag

Other ways to wearRebecca Minkoff ruana worn 2 ways, textured white tee and shorts, pink frayed hem jeans and jumper, black Converse and skirt, Rebecca Minkoff Love Too bag and dress

What I wore:

Tee: thrifted Cotton on grey tunic tee
Jeans: thrifted Jeanswest faded black cropped butt lifter jeans
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star in pink foam
BagRebecca Minkoff Love Too in deep teal croc embossed leather

Why I wore it:

Wore this for a busy day, with the school run, working from home, and packing up for and driving the boys to camp in the evening.

Of course by the time we left for camp I'd swapped the light floral waterfall jacket for a cosier hoodie, but during the day this light jacket was all I needed. I liked the bright burst of colour it added to the monochromatic grey tee and black skinny jeans outfit. The turquoise wooden necklace and deep teal Rebecca Minkoff Love Too bag were nice accessories to add a little more colour too.

Last worn: magenta floral waterfall jacket, turquoise beaded necklace, grey tunic tee, Jeanswest black skinny jeans, Converse, Rebecca Minkoff Love Too bag (above).

Pink Jeans, Grey Tees and Cocoon Cardigans

Two pink jeans and grey tee outfits for back in autumn, when the milder weather meant I just needed to layer with these cocoon cardigans. Both of them are opshop finds!

What I wore:

Jacket: thrifted Dotti black cocoon cape cardigan
Necklace: Colette marble and gold pendant drop long necklace
Tee: Anko Kmart short sleeve slub v-neck tee in lead grey
JeansSass & Bide The Winning Day Lovestate jeans in magenta
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star in pink foam
BagRebecca Minkoff Love Too in deep teal croc embossed leather

Why I wore it:

Wore this to volunteer at my local polling place for Election day, serving up sausages at the sausage sizzle! If you're not Australian you might not know most polling places have a BBQ, maybe even some baking, to fundraise for community groups. It was my first time volunteering on election day, although obviously not my first sausage sizzle, and it went well! Was good to contribute to democracy sausages!

I was very conscious I didn't want to dress in any of the political party colours but with the grey tee and the black cocoon cardigan this outfit needed a little colour. These magenta Sass and Bide jeans were the perfect pop. I added a little matching magenta with the marble necklace, and another shade of pink with the Converse. I really liked how this outfit came together, although I ended up taking the knit off quite early in the morning as it turned into a really warm day.

Last worn: black cocoon cardigan, marble necklace, grey tee, magenta jeans, pink Converse, Rebecca Minkoff Love Too bag.

Other ways to wearblack cocoon cardigan and white jeans, grey tee and maxi skirt, magenta jeans with blue, pink Converse and skirt, Rebecca Minkoff Love Too bag and dress.

What I wore:

Jacket: thrifted no label black and white leopard print cocoon cardigan
NecklaceRoie Designs coral beaded tassel necklace
Tee: thrifted Cotton on grey tunic tee
Jeans: thrifted Zara pink frayed hem skinny jeans
Shoesthrifted white leather Chuck Taylor All Star Converse sneakers
BagChloe Paddington in 2007 Brun

Why I wore it:

This was not as fun a day! I was quite busy as Cooper had surgery so I had to take him to the vets and pick him up afterwards. Along with this the kids had school, sports in the evening and I was also working from home. Thankfully the surgery went well! I dressed comfortably, jeans and tee is a go-to for working from home in cooler weather, and the pink leopard print cocoon cardigan kept me cosy. Just like the outfit above, I went with pink jeans again to add a little more colour. These are an opshop find, and although they are a lighter pink, a grey tee goes with everything!

I wore my Chloe Paddington bag again, I've been carrying it a lot lately, and with such a busy day I didn't want the hassle of changing bags so just kept using this one, although when juggling Cooper in my arms I did wish I'd picked a lighter bag, maybe a crossbody one!

Last worn: leopard print cardigan, beaded tassel necklace, grey tunic tee, pink skinny jeans, white Converse, Chloe Paddington bag.

Other ways to wearleopard print cardigan with purplegrey tunic tee and shorts, pink skinny jeans and blazer, white Converse and dress, Chloe Paddington bag and skirt.

Green Jeans, Printed Tanks and Blazers For The Office

Two outfits with printed tanks, jeans and blazers, an easy office outfit formula for autumn.

What I wore:

Jacket: Cotton On black jersey longline blazer
Necklace: Kmart silver long circle pendant necklace
Tank: thrifted no label terrazzo print white tank
Jeans: Jeanswest Vicki skinny pant in moss green
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in white
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff MAB crossbody with studs in desert rose

Why I wore it:

Green and pink is not some thing I wear together an awful lot, but I was inspired to try this blush pink bag with the olive green jeans thanks to the pink in the terrazzo print of this tank. The Rebecca Minkoff studded MAB crossbody bag matches the subtle blush pink in the tank quite well I thought, so I gave it a go. With a neutral black blazer and white Converse, I really liked this outfit and the blush and olive combination.

Great for another autumn day in the office, the blazer made the sleeve less tank warm enough for the cooler commute.

Last worn: black blazer, circle necklace, terrazzo tank, olive jeans, white Converse, Rebecca Minkoff studded MAB.

Other ways to wearblack blazer and dress, terrazzo tank and maxi skirt, olive jeans worn 30 wayswhite Converse and pencil skirt, Rebecca Minkoff studded MAB and shorts.

What I wore:

Jacket: thrifted Jeanswest cobalt blue blazer
Necklace: thrifted gold large double circle necklace
Tank: Jeanswest Elissa leaf print tank
Jeans: Valleygirl teal skinny jeans
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star in hot tea
BagChloe Paddington in 2007 Brun

Why I wore it:

Unlike pink and green, blue and green is a combination I wear fairly often, so this bright cobalt blue blazer was an easy choice to layer with the teal skinny jeans. This fern print tank is a fun one that was overdue another wear as well. I liked the matching blue against the blazer, and I thought the colours looked great against the teal jeans.

I went with the statement gold circle necklace to match the statement gold hardware on the Chloe Paddington bag.

This was a very long day as I'd been kept late in the office working on an issue, and after I got home from work I had to rush my son to hospital. It was a very busy evening in the ER and he needed an x-ray so we were there over 4 hours. Thankfully no broken bones for him, but we were a little worried there for a bit! He's fully recovered now.

Last worn: blue blazer, gold circle necklace, fern print tank, teal skinny jeans, brown Converse, Chloe Paddington bag.

Other ways to wearblue blazer and skirt, fern print tank and pencil skirt, teal skinny jeans and stripes, brown Converse and skirt, Chloe Paddington bag and dress.

Dolman Sleeve Blouses, Skinny Jeans and Chloe Paddington Bag

With the cooler autumn weather in Brisbane, I've started reaching for my jeans more often. I wear them to work as well as on my work from home or weekend days, they are great in the cooler weather. When I wore both of these jeans I dressed them up a little with statement sleeved black blouses, chunky necklaces, and my Chloe Paddington bag. My friends and I have been talking about the Paddington since it was re-released and I couldn't resist getting my old bags out again!

What I wore:

EarringsMimco silver stud earrings
Necklace: thrifted wooden geometric bead necklace
Blouse: Kmart black batwing button up blouse
Jeans: Valleygirl teal skinny jeans
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bracelets: the usual
BagChloe Paddington in 2007 Brun

Why I wore it:

This actually turned into a much warmer day than I had expected, and I regretted the decision to wear jeans a little! I did like how well these teal skinny jeans matched the teal wooden bead in my statement necklace though, such a good pairing and the necklace was a nice pop of colour against the black blouse. This top is an old favourite, and it's great for autumn where I don't need an extra layer or jacket on top and can show off the dolman sleeves.

With the necklace matching the jeans, and the black Converse matching the blouse, I added some brown with the brun Chloe Paddington bag. It's an original from 2007, and I bought it second hand around 2008/2009. I love it so much! While it hasn't been worn a lot recently, I wore it a lot at the beginning of my blogging days.

It was good to get it out again and remember why I love it so much, expect to see it pop up more often. I don't always follow trends, shopping mostly second hand anyway, but I love this bag (my first designer bag buy!) and it's good to have an excuse to get it out again.

Last worn: silver circle earrings, wooden statement necklace, black button up blouse, teal skinny jeans, black Converse, Chloe brun Paddington.

Other ways to wearblack button up blouse and skirt, teal skinny jeans and stripes, black Converse and dress, Chloe brun Paddington and skirt.

Perfect for pregnancyConverse in second trimester, Chloe brun Paddington in second trimester.

What I wore:

Earrings: Piper gold heart earrings
Necklace: Lovisa wooden statement bead necklace
Top: thrifted Seed heritage black dolman sleeve blouse (new purchase)
Jeans: Dannii Minogue denim high waist skinny jean in ecru
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star in hot tea
Bracelets: the usual plus Mimco mini shimmy bracelet in bluebell
BagChloe Paddington in 2007 Brun

Why I wore it:

Although this outfit is less colourful than the one above as I stuck to neutrals in this outfit, I also really liked this! The white skinny jeans were a really easy pairing with this black dolman sleeve blouse I thrifted recently. Black clothing never seems to photograph well, but it has a subtle rib all over and with the full sleeves it's such a nice twist on a plain black top. I knew I had to get it at the opshop, such a good piece for office days!

I kept with the neutrals with the brown wooden necklace, brown Chloe Paddington bag again, and brown Converse sneakers. The necklace and bag are such a good match, and I felt the brown Converse complimented them both nicely, even if they don't match exactly.

Last worn: heart stud earrings, wooden statement necklace, white cropped skinny jeans, brown ConverseChloe brun Paddington (above). First time I've worn the blouse as it was a recent opshop find.

Other ways to wearwhite cropped skinny jeans and knit, brown Converse and skirt,  Chloe brun Paddington and dress.

Striped Tees And Skinny Jeans To Work From Home

More autumn weather means more jeans! An old favourite pair and a newer pair I got for Christmas, both with striped tees.

What I wore:

Tee: thrifted navy stripe Coca-Cola logo tee
Jeans: Valleygirl teal skinny jeans (Christmas present)
Shoesslim navy and pink Havaianas
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff 2012 sky grey mini MAC bag

Why I wore it:

It's been a while since I've worn this Coca-Cola logo striped tee, an opshop find quite a while ago. It was the perfect pairing with these teal skinny jeans. I got the jeans for Christmas from our pre-Christmas opshopping day, and I have been waiting for the perfect weather to wear them! A rainy day after the cyclone, with working from home and the kids being back at school, was a great time to get them out. They are very comfortable!

I liked the little pop of red from the logo in the tee with the teal jeans, but I kept the rest of the outfit simple with no other accessories and just my little blue mini MAC bag.

Last worn: striped tee, Havaianas, Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC. First time I've worn the jeans as I got them for Christmas.

Other ways to wearstriped tee and skirt, Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC and dress.

What I wore:

Necklace: Tiffany & Co pink double heart tag pendant necklace
TeeCotton On The One fitted v tee in eddy stripe white / red terracotta
Jeans: Jeanswest black skinny jeans with zipper detail
Shoesslim navy and pink Havaianas
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff unlined saddle bag in cherry red

Why I wore it:

Repeating the striped tee and skinny jeans combination again as I enjoyed it in the outfit above! It was another working from home day for me. Although the majority of the post-cyclone Alfred flooding had gone down I wasn't entirely sure I'd be able to make it all the way to the office, so I worked from home. Thankfully we hadn't lost power so while I was working the kids were able to enjoy playing computer games, as their school was unfortunately damaged by the cyclone and it took a little longer to be made safe and opened back up to students.

Just like the first outfit, I found this really comfortable, although there was no school run this time I did get out to walk the dogs and continue to check on people in the neighbourhood I saw after the wild weather. We were really lucky to have no damage.

Last worn: Tiffany necklace, rust striped tee, zip detail skinny jeans, Havaianas (above), Rebecca Minkoff studded saddle bag.

Other ways to wearrust striped tee and shorts, zip detail skinny jeans and graphic teeRebecca Minkoff saddle bag worn 30 ways.

Jeans, Tees and Blue Balenciaga Bags

Some simple jeans and tee outfits I wore recently, that I added some colourful necklaces and blue Balenciaga bags too.

What I wore:

JacketThe Kindness Kimono 'Dream Catch Me' print
Necklace: adjustable coral flat bead necklace
Tee: thrifted Cotton on grey tunic tee
Jeans: thrifted Cotton On The High Rise Skinny Jean black coated denim
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bracelets: the usual
BagBalenciaga First bag in 2006 Blue India

Why I wore it:

This grey tunic tee with the black coated jeans is a combination I've worn before, but this time around I tucked the tunic in and added some more colourful accessories. Last time I wore the two together, it was a more neutral outfit. But I added the printed cover up for a little extra colour and interest, and then the coral necklace as I felt it matched the colours in the print nicely.

I kept the shoes neutral with the black Converse, good for running around a little as I had the school run as well as working from home. Did add more colour with the turquoise blue Balenciaga first bag though, I really like how it pops against neutrals like the jeans and tee.

Last worn: printed cover up, coral necklace, grey tunic, coated jeans, Converse, Balenciaga first bag.

Other ways to wearprinted cover up and skirt, grey tunic and shorts, coated jeans and knitConverse and dress, Balenciaga first bag and band tee.

Perfect for pregnancyConverse in second trimester.

What I wore:

Necklace: thrifted multi strand multi colour disc bead necklace with tassels
Tee: thrifted black and white space dye peplum tee
Jeans: thrifted Zara pink frayed hem skinny jeans
Shoes: thrifted Seed Heritage tan braided sandals
Bracelets: the usual
BagBalenciaga giant hardware Day bag in 2009 tempete

Why I wore it:

Another blue Balenciaga bag! I picked my Balenciaga day as I hadn't worn it in a while and I needed a big bag to fit a book and some water bottles as I accompanied my son to a birthday party at an indoor play area. It was loud so I was intending on hiding in a corner and reading my book, but one of my friends was there with her child who was also attending so I chatted with her instead.

Kept it simple again with a jeans and tee outfit, although I changed it up a little with the peplum tee and the colourful pink jeans. Both the peplum top and jeans are opshop finds, as is the layered tassel necklace I added for a little more colour.

Last worn: peplum tee, tassel necklace, pink jeans, braided sandals, Balenciaga tempete day bag.

Other ways to wearpeplum tee and shorts, pink jeans and knit, braided sandals and dress, Balenciaga tempete day bag and skirt.

Perfect for pregnancy: Balenciaga tempete day bag in third trimester.

Skinny jeans, Black Tops and Blazers With Mimco Mim-mazing Crossbody Bag

Two colourful blazer outfits I wore with black tops, black bags, and jeans for office days recently.

What I wore:

Jacket: Glassons orange jersey blazer
Necklace: thrifted bronze foil statement necklace
Tank: Kmart linen blend textured black tank
Jeans: Jeanswest Harper skinny pant in Russet
ShoesAdidas Superstar sneakers
BagMIMCO Mim-Mazing crossbody bag in black and light gold

Why I wore it:

I really liked the colours in this outfit! With the black linen blend tank and the orange blazer this outfit it might have looked a little Halloween-ish. But the burgundy jeans break that association beautifully I thought. Even though it's spring here in Brisbane I really liked the autumn colours in this outfit and I'm going to have to wear red with this orange blazer more often!

Kept the accessories simple with my little black Mimco crossbody bag, Adidas Superstar sneakers and the foil necklace. Blazer and jeans makes for a great outfit for a day working in the office, and the bright colours in this really made me smile.

Last worn: orange blazer, foil necklace, linen blend tank, burgundy jeans, Adidas Superstar sneakers, Mimco Mim-Mazing crossbody bag.

Other ways to wearorange blazer and skirt, linen blend tank and green, burgundy jeans and graphic tee, Adidas Superstar sneakers and dress, Mimco Mim-Mazing crossbody bag and maxi skirt.

What I wore:

Jacket: thrifted Jeanswest cobalt blue blazer
Necklace: Ruby Olive Art series long striped pod necklace
Tank: lace bib black swing tank from mum's wardrobe
Jeans: Dannii Minogue denim high waist skinny jean in ecru
Shoesthrifted white leather Chuck Taylor All Star Converse sneakers
Bracelets: the usual plus black beaded bracelet stack and Roie Designs labradorite bracelets and pearl bracelets
BagMIMCO Mim-Mazing crossbody bag in black and light gold

Why I wore it:

Another bright blazer. This blue one I thrifted a while back is such a fun pop of colour against black. To let the blazer be the statement piece in my outfit I kept the rest black and white, with this black lace tank, the white skinny jeans and white Converse. Again I wore the little black Mimco crossbody bag. I felt like I could still add a little extra colour in this outfit though, so went with this fun multi coloured statement piece.

I felt comfortable in this outfit. The bright blazer was professional but still fun as I had a massive presentation to give in the office. It went well, I got good feedback. And all the special pieces in this outfit (necklace from my bestie, my mum's tank and bracelets from my friend) helped give me a bit of a confidence boost for the presentation too.

Last worn: blue blazer, beaded necklace, lace tank, white jeans, white Converse, Mimco Mim-Mazing crossbody bag (above).

Yellow Bag with Pink and Floral Print Outfits

Two outfits featuring pink and floral print with my mustard yellow Rebecca Minkoff micro Regan bag.

What I wore:

NecklaceTiffany & Co pink double heart tag pendant necklace
Dress: thrifted no label pastel floral print babydoll dress
Shoes: thrifted Seed Heritage tan braided sandals
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff micro Regan satchel in Harvest Gold

Why I wore it:

This was a really hot spring day that felt like summer, so this pastel floral print babydoll dress was the perfect outfit to wear. I added the simple braided sandals as it was much too hot for closed in shoes!

Had to take my son to a birthday party, and had a couple of errands to run and groceries to buy. I liked the simplicity of this dress for such a hot day.

With the yellow in the print of the dress, this mustard Rebecca Minkoff Regan bag was a nice matchy-matchy accessory.

Last worn: Tiffany heart necklace, floral babydoll dress, braided sandals, Rebecca Minkoff micro Regan bag.

Other ways to wearfloral babydoll dress and blazer, braided sandals and white dress, Rebecca Minkoff micro Regan bag worn 30 ways.

What I wore:

Jacket: Jeanswest Polly printed kimono in white base ditsy floral
Necklace: thrifted yellow beaded statement pendant long necklace
TeeAtmos & Here Avery marle tee in navy
Jeans: thrifted Zara pink frayed hem skinny jeans
Shoesthrifted white leather Chuck Taylor All Star Converse sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff micro Regan satchel in Harvest Gold

Why I wore it:

This was a cooler spring day, but still with floral print and some pink, with these pink frayed hem jeans. I thought the yellow bag would be a fun accessory with this, although it doesn't quite match the outfit like it did when I wore it with the dress. There is yellow in the floral print of my cover up, and I added more yellow with the yellow necklace, although they are different shades I thought the colours in this all worked nicely together.

I wore this simple navy tee that's been getting a lot of wear lately as I wanted a nice neutral piece to wear with all the pink and yellow. I really liked this outfit and I'm glad I was inspired to give the yellow and pink colour combination another try thanks to the dress above.
