Pink Kmart Dresses In The Office With Blue Mini MAC Bag

Two very similar outfits I wore to work recently, both with Kmart fuchsia pink dresses and my little blue Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC bag.

Why I wore it:

Surprisingly, despite loving blue and pink together, I haven't worn this sky blue Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC bag with this fuchsia pink tiered midi dress before. It seems like such an obvious combo! It was good to give it a wear, and to wear something bright for another day in the office.

Added some comfortable Adidas Superstar sneakers too, which were a very practical choice as it ended up being a pretty rainy day. Thankfully the big work issued bag I have for my work laptop has plenty space for an umbrella.

Why I wore it:

Since I liked the combination of the fuchsia pink dress with the little bluey-grey Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC bag in the outfit above, I repeated it again a few days later! 

This Kmart linen blend dress was an opshop find and I really like it with blue. Even though the blue Converse sneakers aren't the same shade as the little mini MAC bag I liked the two blues together, and I've worn these Converse with this dress many times before. Added the gold beaded statement necklace to dress it up a little more for the office. Just like the two different blues, I think the two different golds in the necklace and on the hardware and strap of the bag still work together, despite being different.

This dress is one that makes me smile even if I am just wearing it into the office!

Orange Tiered Dresses and Grey MAM Bag For Kids Birthday Parties

A birthday party filled weekend recently had me sticking to a very simple outfit formula. Tiered orange dresses, my tan slides, and my little grey Rebecca Minkoff MAM. I love how a dress is an easy instant outfit.

What I wore:

Necklace: thrifted multi strand multi colour disc bead necklace with tassels
Dress: Jeanswest Lilah tiered linen dress in orange
Shoes: Kmart tan crossover slides
Bracelets: the usual plus vintage silver charm bracelet

Why I wore it:

A thankfully indoor kids birthday party as it turned into a very rainy day! This orange tiered linen dress was nice and colourful for the occasion, but not too warm in the heat. Despite the rain it was still pretty humid. I added more colour to this orange tiered linen dress with the bright tassel multi strand necklace. I liked the extra colour against the already bright orange dress.

The rest of my outfit was neutral, with the tan slides and the grey Rebecca Minkoff MAM bag which has been on frequent repeat since I got it out of my wardrobe again recently. It's a bag that goes with everything and fits everything so it's hard to swap it out for another bag sometimes!

Why I wore it:

Another orange tiered dress for another kid's birthday party. This one is an older one from my wardrobe, a fun Kmart tiered midi dress I bought back in 2020. This is its 16th wear. With this mixed metal gold and silver necklace I got for Christmas, it was another easy instant outfit for a busy and loud birthday party.

Did add some chunky bracelets to make it look like I put a little effort into this outfit. The cream resin ones are ones I thrifted a while back and they look great with the orange and yellow resin bangles my bestie got me one Christmas.

Again I wore my Rebecca Minkoff grey MAM bag - perfect for water bottles as well as all my essentials. The party was at an indoor play area so the kids definitely needed a lot of water as they ran around with their friends.

Belted Printed Dresses With Converse and Polene Numero Neuf Mini Bag

Getting two pretty printed dresses out again that hadn't been worn in a while. While both are very different in style, colour and print, they both work so well for a day in the office. And my little lilac Polene Numero Neuf mini bag compliments each of them nicely!

Why I wore it:

I'm not sure why I haven't hit 30 wears with this dress yet - it was such an office staple pre-pandemic! It's been a little neglected lately so it was good to get it out again. Despite the darker navy and black in the print, I thought the light blue Converse would be a good accessory with it and I liked the combination. Dressed this up a little with some gold accessories - the pretty glitter belt always gets compliments! And much like the dress, this statement necklace hasn't been worn in a while either and was overdue another wear. Was good to get them both out again!

I did have a lunch date in the city during the work day, but still didn't need to carry much, especially as I have a big work issued laptop bag I take to the office with me. So this little Polene Numero Neuf mini bag was all I needed for carrying the essentials. And I really like the pastel lilac against the navy of the ikat print on the dress.

Why I wore it:

Another printed dress for the office. This one comes with it's own long sash belt in the same fabric as the dress, but I did really like the glitter belt with the dress above so maybe I should have tried the glitter belt with this dress too! Something to remember for next time I wear it. The pink resin earrings are something I've worn with this dress in the past, as are the black Converse which go with everything.

I like pink and blue and purple together, so with the light pink and blue in the wisteria floral print of the dress the little lilac Polene Numero Neuf mini bag again seemed like a great accessory. And I loved the dress and bag together, one of those perfect combinations! Like the earrings and Converse, I'm going to have to wear this bag again with this dress in future!

Tiered Midi Dresses, Blue Converse and Rebeca Minkoff Edie Shoulder Bag

Before the Christmas break, I wore these two pretty tiered midi dresses with some blue accessories for days in the office. Despite the very different colours of both dresses, they are accessorised with the same blue Converse and Luna Blue Rebecca Minkoff Edie bag, as the shades of blue work so well with both pink and orange.

What I wore:

Why I wore it:

I really like wearing this pink dress with blue accessories! Both the slate blue of the Rebecca Minkoff Edie shoulder bag and the lighter blue of the Converse work really well with the bright fuchsia pink of the midi dress. It's one of my favourites!

I added the silver and turquoise bracelet stack for another little touch of blue with this, and then the silver circle necklace as it matches so nicely with the silver hardware on the Edie shoulder bag.

Another Kmart tiered midi dress! This was the first one I got, that kick started my collection 😅 Just like the bold fuchsia pink above, the amber orange of this midi dress works so well with blue. So much so that I wore the exact bag and shoe combination with this dress as well! Despite being different shades of blue, the converse and the Luna blue Edie bag are lovely together.

Just like in the first outfit, I added a little extra blue with this gold and blue statement necklace. Nice easy outfit for another day in the office.

Pink Tiered Dresses And Stella McCartney Falabella Bag

Wearing two pretty pink tiered midi dresses, for two different events lately. One more formal the other more casual. Wearing my recently thrifted Stella McCartney Falabella bag with both dresses too, black and pink always work!

Why I wore it:

It was a day threatening to storm and rain so I added little black ankle boots to this pink and red floral print Orange Sherbet tiered midi dress. I picked it up at the preloved fashion markets this year and I'm so glad I did, I love it! With the black boots, the black Stella McCartney Falabella seemed like a good matchy-matchy choice, and it also had plenty of room for my essentials, some snacks, and my camera. We had an awards ceremony to attend for my son. I'm being vague for privacy reasons, but it was a very fancy ceremony and I'm very proud of him! It was so good to see his joy as he was celebrated in front of so many people.

Another pink tiered midi dress, again with my Stella McCartney Falabella bag. I love this bag as it works with everything! Wore this for a much more casual event, a kids birthday party. It was a lot of fun, but such a hot day. I was very thankful for this dress which catches the breeze so nicely, and the tiered loose style makes it comfortable in the heat. I did try dress it up a little with the matchy-matchy purple necklace and statement earrings, but still wore my comfortable Havaianas as it was just a nice relaxed party with friends. My kids kept talking about how it was the best party ever, they had a blast!

Magnificent 8 - Simply Red

I had the hardest time coming up with outfits to share for this quarter's Magnificent 8. I was just overwhelmed with choice! We decided to feature red as it's a great power colour, but I have so much red in my wardrobe. Even though I've been wearing a lot of pink lately, I have no shortage of red things to wear. In the end I went with the most red thing I own, a dress, and then a second outfit with just a couple pops of red from accessories.

Why I wore it:

This was a really fun day, but so hot! We headed out to try out a new park and have lunch with my family and my aunt who was visiting the coast recently. The new park was wonderful, so many different play spaces and things for the kids to enjoy! It was really good spending time with the family too, even if the park was so popular we had to wait a little to use the BBQ and cook lunch.

Knew this Kmart tiered dress would be perfect for the heat - it's nice and light for hot days, and there was a lovely breeze to keep us cool. I did wonder if this dress quite made the theme for the Magnificent 8 prompt, as it's more coral than a true red, but I decided it was close enough!

The sandals were a must have with the warm weather, and the Louis Vuitton Neverfull is always a practical choice to load up with water bottles for a BBQ in the park.

Why I wore it:

This was a much more neutral outfit than the one above, before I added all the red accessories to it. If wearing a lot of a power colour seems like too much, there is always accessories to let you add a touch of it to your outfit!

This grey tank and cute ruffle hem leopard print skirt were a great neutral base to my outfit, especially with the studded sandals. I knew the red saddle bag would be great against them, and it's roomier than it looks! I had all the essentials plus a book in there as while I was working from home, I had an appointment to attend before picking the kids up from school.

Echoed the reds and browns with the bracelet stack, but still felt this outfit was missing a little something, so added the red Alexander McQueen skull print scarf. I like print mixing with these skull scarves, even if I only wore the scarf for the school drop off in the morning, as the weather warmed up so quickly it wasn't needed later in the afternoon.

Tiered Dresses, Denim Jacket and Red Saddle Bag

Getting my tiered dresses out again with denim jackets for spring. I wore my little Rebecca Minkoff red studded saddle bag with both outfits, despite the different colours of each dress.

Why I wore it:

Wore this for a family night out at church, and dinner afterwards. It was a little chilly so the denim jacket was a definitely must over this cap sleeve maxi dress. With the red and pink in the floral print, I decided to go with both pink and red accessories. Its been far too long since I last wore these red suede ballet flats, I loved wearing them again. And I thought the pink tassel earrings, although not the same shade of pink as in the print, was a nice nod to both colours in the print. With the statement earrings I felt fine without adding a necklace to this as well.

With the red shoes the red bag was a nice matchy-matchy choice. Like the shoes, its felt like its been a while since I last wore this saddle bag, and it was overdue a wear. Perfect for a family night out.

Why I wore it:

Another tiered dress and denim jacket outfit for spring! I had the school run, working from home, and then I went to the kids award ceremony in the afternoon. This Kmart amber tiered midi dress was perfect for all those activities, it's so comfortable to wear, especially paired with sneakers like these Adidas Superstars.

Like the first outfit, I felt like wearing some pretty earrings, so went with these cute daisy ones. They aren't as statement making as the pink tassel ones I wore in the first outfit, so I felt like adding a necklace too. I've been embracing orange and red a lot so this coral necklace seemed like a good choice, especially when I went matchy-matchy with the little red saddle bag. I need to wear this rust dress with red accessories more often!

For today's Weekday Wear Link Up I'm sharing two printed dresses and blazer outfits that I wore to the office recently.

What I wore:

Why I wore it:

I wouldn't have normally have reached for this dress for a day in the office - it is a little casual, but I felt the ankle boots and the grey blazer dressed it up enough for a quiet day. And I wanted something that would be suitable for a day at work and an evening out, as after work I headed out to a graduation evening for a family member. Needed the big Louis Vuitton Neverfull to pack with everything for the day and the evening. It was so much fun, although a very late night for the kids, it was so good to celebrate the graduation.

I think this blazer was the perfect topper over this dress to make it more office-ready. The longer length was really good with the ruffle hem of the dress.

Why I wore it:

This dress, unlike the one above, has been worn to the office many times. It's such a good office dress as it's super comfortable and the teal colour goes with all my blazers. I liked this navy blazer with the teal background of the dress, and how the white gingham on the cuffs matched the white in the floral print. Needed comfortable shoes after aggravating my knee injury the prior weekend, so went with these blue Converse. I think the different shades of blue with the blazer, dress, Chucks and damier Azur print of the Neverfull all worked well together.

Pink Tiered Dresses With Navy Suede Moto Jacket

Wearing this navy suede moto jacket as a cosy topper with these pink tiered dresses to make them a little warmer for winter.

Why I wore it:

This was my outfit for the Barbie movie! It was so much fun, we went as a big group to the premiere at the local cinema, and I loved the movie. Of course we had to get dressed up in pink! I knew this dress would be the one I'd wear right away although I did have to wear a slip underneath and add the suede moto jacket and tall leather boots to keep me warm for the late night showing. This was a really quick outfit to get together when I got home from work before dashing out to the cinema.

I knew for the Barbie movie I'd need some fun accessories - with the big statement necklace and the statement padlock on my little Chloe Paddington bag I think they were perfect for the evening.

Why I wore it:

I wore this for another morning at the local markets, selling more of my wardrobe. I ended up in a really good location under the shade, which made it a bit chilly, but meant I did manage to offload quite a few scarves, haha! I had a slip under this tiered maxi dress and I knew the suede jacket would keep me warm for the morning too. I had my comfortable Adidas Superstar sneakers for all the running around setting up and then dismantling my stall.

I did make a couple purchases from some other stalls with my takings - one particularly cute pair of earrings, but I'll need to make a note of the lady's business name next time I go back as I didn't write it down unfortunately. I did have a lot of success with my stall though, always good to make more space in my wardrobe!
