Striped Dresses, Kmart Denim Trench Coat and Polene Numero Neuf Mini Bag

Another two very similar outfits, following the exact same outfit formula. Wearing striped dresses with fleece lined tights, ankle boots, my Kmart Anko oversized denim trench coat and Polene Numero Neuf mini bag for some winter office days back in August.

Why I wore it:

It's been a while since I last wore this Jeanswest striped fit and flare dress! I felt like it was overdue another wear. While it is sleeveless I layered a long sleeved tee underneath to keep me warm, and with the thick fabric on the dress and the fleece lined tights and ankle boots I was warm enough with this denim trench for the cold commute.

I couldn't resist going a little bit matchy-matchy with the mauve Polene Numero Neuf mini bag, matching the lilac beads in this beaded necklace I made. I got some polymer clay and myself and my son made some beads since I really enjoy wearing this style of necklace. I liked how well the bag and necklace matched together.

Why I wore it:

This was an even colder winter day than the one above, so instead of wearing a simple necklace this time I added another layer with the scarf. While it doesn't match the bag this time, it does match well with the navy stripes in this thrifted dress. It's a long sleeved dress so perfectly cosy for a winter commute and day in the office, especially when paired again with fleece lined tights, and the same black ankle boots and oversized denim trench coat that I wore in the first outfit.

I think you can see how uninspired I was as winter drew to a close here in Brisbane with the very similar outfits I've been wearing, but I do love taking a classic outfit formula and wearing it multiple times! And I did end up really liking both these outfits.

Kmart Tiered Maxi Dresses, Leather Jackets And Rebecca Minkoff Love Bags

Adding some colour to winter office outfits with these block colour Kmart Anko tiered midi dresses, scarves and leather jackets. Both of these outfits I was wearing one of my Rebecca Minkoff Love bags.

What I wore:

Why I wore it:

This was a very cold winter day, back in July. I needed all the layers to stay cosy! With this amber tiered midi dress, I often wear a lot of printed scarves. No chance of clashing as the dress has no print, and the block amber colour is a nice backdrop to show off a printed scarf. I liked this grey and white mixed print scarf, it was a cosy addition to my outfit for the winter commute and looked good in the office too.

The Adidas Superstar sneakers probably should have been swapped out for boots to keep me even warmer, but they were comfortable even if my ankles got a little chilly. 

With the orange dress adding so much colour to the outfit, I added a neutral bag to go with the grey scarf and black leather jacket and neutral shoes, this Rebecca Minkoff quilted Love bag.

Why I wore it:

Another day in the office, another Kmart tiered midi dress! I have 3 of these dresses and I love how comfortable and colourful they are! Unlike the outfit above, I went a little more colourful with the accessories with this.

I added the pink Converse, although they aren't the same shade of pink as the fuchsia tiered dress I liked the two pinks together. The purple checked scarf is super warm, and added more colour. So did the deep teal Rebecca Minkoff croc embossed Love Too bag. I went with a neutral jacket topper though, again adding a black leather jacket to keep me warm on the cold morning commute.

Floral Print Dresses With Navy Suede Moto Jacket and Mimco Mim-Mazing Crossbody Bag

Two outfits with floral print dresses, Converse, a navy suede moto jacket and Mimco Mim-Mazing crossbody bag for some different days recently.

What I wore:

Why I wore it:

I really like this navy suede moto jacket paired with this navy and white floral print tiered dress. I wanted to be dressed up but not too cold for a day off where I attended an award ceremony for a family member. I thought a denim jacket or leather jacket would be too casual, this jacket seemed perfect for the formal event. I did go with casual Converse though as I had to drive a bit and while boots would have looked more formal, I had to consider my knee with all that driving.

I didn't need to carry much, just the essentials, so I went with this little black Mimco Mim-mazing crossbody bag. It was perfect for the basics for the ceremony and then going out for brunch afterwards.

Went a little matchy-matchy with the gold hardware on the bag with the gold charm necklace and gold stud earrings. I layered up some gold bracelets too but you can't see them with the long sleeves on the dress and long sleeves on the jacket covering them up.

Why I wore it:

This was unfortunately not a day off! I had to head into the office, again leaving before sunrise so sorry for the low quality photo. Since I liked the navy suede jacket with the floral dress in the outfit above so much I wore the formula again on this day with this Kmart teal floral print midi dress. I really like this dress with shades of blue, so I added blue converse with the navy jacket. I went a little matchy-matchy with the teal earrings but unfortunately they are hard to see in the photo.

Again I wore my Mimco Mim-Mazing crossbody bag. It's great for all the essentials and I have a big work-issued laptop bag I can slip my water bottle and lunch into.

Printed Dresses, Leather Jackets and Pink Bags

Layering up these Kmart printed dresses for winter office days recently, with leggings, boots, and leather jackets.

What I wore:

Why I wore it:

I am pleased I could get a photo of this outfit in daylight (I was working from a different office a shorter commute away so I wasn't out the door before sunrise!). I really like pink and purple with this navy and white striped dress, it's something I've worn with a few times before. And leopard print and stripes will always be a print mix I enjoy wearing too. The purple leopard print scarf kept me cosy both in the cooler morning commute and in the office - the aircon there is always super cold!

I liked this dress with the leggings and tall boots too, although it warmed up enough in the afternoon for school pick up that the leather jacket wasn't really needed.

Why I wore it:

Another pink Rebecca Minkoff crossbody bag with a printed dress, leather jacket, leggings and boots. I liked this little pink mini 5-zip bag in this outfit, although it's a different shade from the pink in the floral wisteria print of the dress I think it compliments the pinks and blues nicely. I added another shade of pink with the statement dangly earrings too.

The cobalt leather jacket is a different shade of blue from the pastel blue of the dress as well, but I really liked the pop of colour it adds to this outfit. It's a really fun piece to wear in winter.

Didn't wear a scarf with this, although I did knot up the neckline of the dress for a little extra warmth in the colder morning.

Leopard Print, Trench Coats And Jeans

Layering up two leopard print tops for the office with trench coats and skinny jeans. The colder morning commutes to work have had me pulling out my thickest, warmest jackets and all my jeans!

Why I wore it:

This leopard print shirt from my sister's wardrobe is a good neutral, but with the black Nobody Denim skinny jeans and the tan trench coat it was a bit too neutral. So I added a lot of pink, with the pale pink Converse, fuchsia pink statement earrings and the sorbet pink Balenciaga city bag. I felt all the different shades of pink with this cheered this outfit up nicely for a day in the office.

The only thing I didn't like about this outfit was the shirt. It's a nice oversized style with batwing sleeves but this is the first time I have worn it untucked and it was sliding about everywhere. I had a tank underneath for warmth more than anything but I was grateful of it a few times as the shirt slid down. It's going to be donated, too fiddly for me to wear unless I only want to tuck it in, now I see why my sister no longer wanted it!

Why I wore it:

I don't wear this pretty blue silk leopard print blouse enough! It's handwash only which means I'm not even brave enough to try it in the washing machine handwash cycle with most of my clothes - I actually need to take the time to handwash it separately. It's so pretty though, I love the print and the mix of prints on the tassel ties and sleeves (which are striped). Sadly as this was one of the days I had to be up and in the office early, the sun hadn't risen enough to see that detail in the photos.

Just like the outfit above I wore black skinny jeans and sneakers. I added a little extra colour to this with the purple Chloe Paraty bag too. I always like adding more colour with a bag.

Why I wore it:

Despite it being a super cold winter day I had an event at work I wanted to dress up for. I caved and went with jeans for warmth, and had a singlet layered under this silky blouse. With the long sleeves it kept me warm and I felt it dressed up my jeans a little more, especially when paired with this silver statement necklace. The funniest thing was when I saw mum in the afternoon, she was also wearing a silky blouse like this, just in blue!

With the denim trench and the Nobody Denim skinny jeans this was a lot of denim, but I didn't have to wear my trench in the office. I added a little extra blue against the trench though with the blue Converse and the blue Rebecca Minkoff Edie shoulder bag.

Why I wore it:

Another long sleeved jewel toned blouse with black jeans, this navy studded one this time. Again I wore the denim trench, it's been keeping me quite cosy in the cooler morning and afternoon commutes to work. As this navy blouse is studded I skipped the necklace, and just added these purple statement earrings. I wanted a purple bag to be a bit matchy-matchy, and although this raisin purple Balenciaga work bag isn't an exact match with the purple earrings I liked the two together.

Again I wore my blue Converse. They are becoming a go-to with this denim trench, even though like the bag and earrings they aren't exact shade matches.

Why I wore it:

It's been a while since I've worn these green jeans so they were overdue another wear! I've hit 30 wears with them since I thrifted them a few years ago, but they only get an outing on cooler days. I couldn't resist going a little matchy-matchy with the green clay earrings. With the black blouse, the black Converse and black Mimco Mim-Mazing crossbody bag were easy matchy choices as well. It wasn't too cold on this morning so the denim trench coat was all I needed to layer with for the commute to the office.

Why I wore it:

I really like the statement voluminous sleeves on this black blouse, a recent thrift find. Unfortunately it makes it a little tricky to layer with. I was glad for the oversized relaxed fit of this denim trench as it accommodated the voluminous sleeves on the blouse nicely! 

I couldn't resist a little matching in this outfit too, with the burgundy beaded necklace and burgundy jeans. Again I went with the same black Converse as I was wearing another black top. I did change up the bag this time around though, wearing my Rebecca Minkoff croc embossed Love Too bag.

Anko Denim Trench Coat With Tiered Maxi Dresses and Chloe Paddington Bag

Wearing some tiered maxi dresses with my Anko denim trench coat again, comfortable sneakers and my Chloe Paddington bag. Both the trench and Chloe Paddington bag have been getting a lot of wear lately!

Why I wore it:

I picked up this navy and white floral print tiered maxi dress in the Salty Crush sale recently and I love wearing it! The long sleeves are great for cooler weather, and it has pockets! It layered up nicely with the denim trench and Chloe Paddington bag. Both the trench and bag have been getting so much wear recently, they are trench is perfect for the cooler weather before it gets too cold in Brisbane and I replace it with thicker trench coats.

With all the blue from the denim and the navy print on the dress, I added a little extra colour with the purple resin floral statement earrings. I really liked them with this dress!

Why I wore it:

Again, a tiered dress, this denim trench, some sneakers and my Chloe Paddington bag. While the dark chocolate brown went nicely with the blues in the above outfit, I really loved it against the orange of this Kmart tiered dress! As it was a cooler morning and I'd planned to wear this bag I knew this brown star print pashmina would be a great accessory. Although the brown stars are not a perfect match to the deep brown of the bag, I like the combination and I've worn a lot of brown bags with this scarf in the past!

The cosy pashmina was much needed as it was a cooler day than the one above, winter weather is definitely here in Brisbane.

Pink Kmart Dresses With Denim Trench Coat and Navy Scarves

Layering up two fuchsia pink Kmart dresses for winter office days with this denim trench, blue bags, and navy printed scarves.

Why I wore it:

I really like the way these fuchsia earrings match the fuchsia pink of this Kmart tiered midi dress! They are the perfect pair and it was so nice to wear them together. It was a cooler morning so I layered up for the commute with this denim trench coat that's been a staple recently, and had to add a scarf as well. I like the navy of this one against the pink dress and blue denim of the trench coat.

I added another shade of blue with this Rebecca Minkoff 5 zip bag, and then comfortable sneakers. I did wish on my way to work that I'd worn boots though, proper winter cold weather is here in Brisbane and bare ankles wasn't the nicest in the cold breeze, especially just with this light denim trench.

Unfortunately I managed to roll my chair over this trench at the office and tore a massive hole in it! Easily repaired, but I'm on the look-out now for a pretty patch to disguise the repair.

Why I wore it:

I dressed much more warmly on this day, another cooler day I was up early for the commute to work. Again I wore the denim trench coat with this linen Kmart dress. I've layered it up for winter before, despite being linen it's not impossible to wear through the year as it layers so well. I added leggings, and ankle boots this time instead of sneakers. With the denim trench I still needed an extra layer so I went with this pretty navy and white tile print scarf. I really liked the colour of it against the fuchsia pink dress, and again with the blue of the denim trench.

I wore this little Rebecca Minkoff croc embossed Love Too bag, I've been reaching for it a lot lately. It's the perfect size for the essentials I need to take to work as I have my laptop in a work issued bag, and it goes with everything being a neutral shade.
