What I wore:
Earrings: Piper recycled metal turquoise tassel earring
Necklace: Tiffany & Co pink double heart tag pendant necklace (Christmas gift)Dress: Target puff sleeve tiered denim dress (Christmas gift)
Shoes: slim navy and pink Havaianas
Bracelets: the usual plus Roie Designs freshwater pearl bracelet
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff unlined saddle bag in cherry red
Why I wore it:
Was eager to wear this new dress I got for Christmas as soon as possible, although perhaps waiting for a slightly cooler day would have been better! Wore this for a fun playdate with my son's friend. Dressed it up a little with the statement earrings.Because I love blue and red together, I knew this little red saddle bag would be the perfect pop with this denim dress. I really liked the combination and I'm definitely going to wear this dress with red again in the future.
Last worn: tassel earrings, Havaianas, Rebecca Minkoff studded saddle bag. First time I've worn this dress, bracelet and the necklace as they were Christmas presents.
Other ways to wear: Rebecca Minkoff studded saddle bag and maxi skirt.

My Red Handbag Collection:
What I wore:
Necklace: Oxfam Noah's Ark green red beaded necklace
Dress: Kmart short sleeve tiered knit dress in indigo ink with pockets
Shoes: slim navy and pink Havaianas
Bracelets: the usual
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff red micro Avery cross body bag
Why I wore it:
Another blue tiered dress and little red bag day! Went with this structured Rebecca Minkoff micro Avery tote bag to keep all my essentials close by for a day at the beach. Of course I had a big Woolies tote bag with the towels and sunscreen and beach toys too. With the red bag, I thought this green and red necklace would be a nice bit of matchy-matchy as well, I really liked those accessories together. This is a really light dress, perfect cover up for a beach day, and just like the outfit above, I loved red with this. Despite the breeze my sun hat stayed on nicely too.
Last worn: sun hat, red and green necklace, navy tiered dress, Havaianas (above), Rebecca Minkoff micro Avery tote.
Other ways to wear: navy tiered dress and duster, Rebecca Minkoff micro Avery tote and little black dress.

How You can Wear It:
Red and blue look great together! As seen in both of these outfits, it can be as simple as adding a little red bag to a blue dress.

I really like your new dress! Is it chambray? It looks like really nice and lightweight for the summer season and like it can take you from beach to dinner without much fuss. I also love the way you dressed it up with the dangly earrings and the saddle bag pops just the right amount. In love. I also love that last picture of you so much, with the hat flapping in the wind. Made me feel the summer ocean breeze this morning. Have a great week.

ReplyDeleteThey tried to sell those tiered dresses here in the US, but consumers really didn't buy them. I wonder why that is. They are cute.
ReplyDeleteThey have been everywhere here for years - love how comfortable they are in the heat, although I do confess it's a bit funny when we are out and I see someone wearing the same dress, haha!

Oh is it thong sandal weather there already? That's so nice! It's been rainy here that I'm really missing sandal weather. As always you look fresh and chic in your outfits, Mica. I love the red over the light blue dress. I'm thinking it's those ruffles, they make you look like a summer fairy. It's always great when hats stay put in the breeze, heheh. Wishing you a lovely week ahead <3
