Green and Grey Denim Skirt and Tee Outfits

Two green and grey casual outfits, both with printed cover ups and again my teal Mimco cocoon bag that's become a real go-to for me since I bought it late last year.

What I wore:

JacketSeed Heritage black printed poncho
Earrings: handmade pink star clay earrings made by my sister
Necklace: Tiffany & Co pink double heart tag pendant necklace
Top: Target embroidered khaki tank
Skirt: Salvos Nobody Denim grey distressed denim skirt
Shoes: thrifted Anko Kmart black strappy sandals
Bracelets: the usual plus Mimco Slay to the rhythm bracelet in silver
BagMIMCO vintage cocoon bucket bag in teal

Why I wore it:

This was a fun day despite the heat! The kids had an art class at the library in the morning that was really good, then we had lunch and headed into the city for a very busy Brisbane Bookfest. I really enjoyed the $2.50 book section, and the kids weren't too upset about the long wait to get into the comic section as they came home with so many new comic and gaming books, they were really pleased!

I wanted to cover up my shoulders as a physical barrier against the sun when we were walking around, but it was too hot to consider a tee so I picked this pretty embroidered tank that hasn't been worn in a while. With the black embroidery I thought this black cover up was a good matchy-matchy choice, as were the black sandals. The grey denim skirt of course goes with everything, it was a great Vinnies (opshop) find.

While the teal Mimco cocoon bag doesn't match the khaki green of the tank, once again I enjoyed wearing this bag with other shades of green. And I had a few big reusable totes for us to our preloved book haul at bookfest, that our water bottles and some snacks fit inside so I just needed a crossbody bag for the essentials.

Last worn: pink clay earrings, black and white printed duster, Tiffany heart necklace, green embroidered tank, grey Nobody Denim skirt, black sandals, Mimco teal cocoon bag.

Other ways to wearblack and white printed duster and shorts, green embroidered tank and maxi skirt, grey Nobody Denim skirt and graphic tee, black sandals and dress, Mimco teal cocoon bag and blazer.

What I wore:

JacketWoven Heart gold floral kimono
NecklaceRoie Designs long freshwater pearl necklace with tassel
Tee: thrifted Cotton on grey tunic tee
Skirt: Jeanswest light olive denim skirt
Shoesslim navy and pink Havaianas
Bracelets: the usual plus wooden bead bracelet set
BagMIMCO vintage cocoon bucket bag in teal

Why I wore it:

Another cover up and another grey and green outfit. This time around I wore a pale green distressed denim skirt with a grey top. I wore this to work from home, with an appointment for the kids in the afternoon. I like simple tee outfits when working from home.

I added a little more interest to this for video calls and a little physical sunblock with the floral print duster. I like the mix of colours it added to the neutral outfit, and with the blues and greens in the floral print I thought the Mimco teal cocoon bag was a pretty good pairing as well. I really liked this outfit.

Dresses and Louis Vuitton Damier Azur Neverfull Tote Bag

Wearing two different dresses with my big Louis Vuitton damier azur Neverfull tote bag for a couple of recent weekend days.

What I wore:

Earrings: Kmart gold circle glitter resin statement earrings
Necklace: handmade silver and gold faux pearl beaded necklace
Dress: thrifted colourful geometric print maxi dress
Shoes: thrifted Seed Heritage tan braided sandals
Bracelets: the usual plus Hermes Kelly double tour bracelet in rubis and Mimco Slay to the rhythm bracelet in silver
BagLouis Vuitton MM damier azur Neverfull

Why I wore it:

This was a really nice day! With Lunar New Year just a few days away, we met up with some friends for Yum Cha. As the kids were coming along as well I brought my big Louis Vuitton Neverfull tote so I could have some books inside for them. They were quite happy to sit and read while waiting for the food to arrive. Such good food and great company, it was a lovely lunch!

I picked this pretty geometric printed maxi dress to wear as I never feel over or under dressed in a maxi dress! With the busy print and the damier azur print on the Neverfull tote I kept it simple with the accessories, these braided sandals are a favourite and the gold glitter earrings and faux pearl necklace.

Last worn: glitter circle earrings, faux pearl necklace, Mimco bracelet, Hermes bracelet, geometric print maxi dress, braided sandals, Louis Vuitton Neverfull tote.

Other ways to weargeometric print maxi dress at the beach, braided sandals and skirtLouis Vuitton Neverfull worn 30 ways.

What I wore:

Necklace: thrifted mint silicone statement necklace
Dress: Kmart short sleeve tiered knit dress in indigo ink with pockets
Shoes: Kmart tan crossover slides
Bracelets: the usual
BagLouis Vuitton MM damier azur Neverfull

Why I wore it:

While not as colourful as the outfit above, I really liked this outfit too! We spent the day down the coast at my parents, cooling off by playing in the water. It's not the first time I've worn this navy tiered dress and Louis Vuitton Neverfull bag together, it's a great combination. The print on the tote is a nice pairing with the block colour navy tiered dress.

This dress is nice and comfortable, and a great bikini cover up, and the Louis Vuitton Neverfull tote is a practical choice for all the little extras I needed. it was another really fun day spending time with family.

Last worn: navy tiered dress, mint silicone necklace, Kmart slides, Louis Vuitton Neverfull tote (above).

Printed Dresses, Redyed Pink Rebecca Minkoff Mini MAC Bag

Two simple printed dress outfits to try and beat the heat, both accessorised with my little pink Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC bag that I redyed.

What I wore:

Necklace: thrifted pastel pink and wooden hexagon bead necklace
DressAll About Eve striped black tee dress
Shoesslim navy and pink Havaianas
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff mini MAC redyed with Angelus hot pink leather paint

Why I wore it:

This was a really fun day! We had a playdate down by the water with some friends. This black and white striped tee dress is super comfortable on a hot day, and it works well for a day at the beach with the kids as a bikini cover up. I didn't need to go far enough into the water to have to take this dress off in the end, which was nice! It helped keep the sun off my shoulders all day.

We had a few people joining us through the day, so we got there early to get a shaded table and I had my little pink Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC bag so I could keep my phone close to respond to messages from everyone and share where we were. Lunch was amazing, although cut a little short as the kids were so eager to get back to playing in the water.

Last worn: black and white striped tee dress, blush bead necklace, Havaianas, redyed pink mini MAC.

Other ways to wearblack and white striped tee dress and leather jacket, redyed pink mini MAC and jeans.

What I wore:

EarringsMIMCO fleur stud silver earrings
Necklace: handmade silver and gold faux pearl beaded necklace
Dress: Kmart strappy tiered sundress in watercolour blue and blush print
ShoesNike Court Royale white and beige sneakers
Bracelets: the usual plus vintage silver charm bracelet
BagRebecca Minkoff mini MAC redyed with Angelus hot pink leather paint

Why I wore it:

Another comfortable dress outfit, for a slightly different day. I was picking up some family members at the airport, before heading home to WFH. I needed the sneakers for all the driving around, and decided to wear my new Nike that the kids got me. I really like them with this cute tiered sundress.

While the print on this dress is a light blush, I've enjoyed wearing it with other shades of pink in the past and I liked the darker pink mini MAC bag with this. While working from home wasn't as fun as the day above, it was good getting to spend time with family after collecting them from the airport before doing some work for the day.

Brown And Pink Dress and Bag Outfits

Enjoying light dresses for some days by the water recently, catching up with friends over the Christmas break.

What I wore:

Earrings: festive cockatoo and presents statement earrings
Necklace: thrifted bronze foil statement necklace
Dress: Anko Kmart short sleeved tiered linen dress in coco brown (Christmas present)
Shoes: Kmart tan crossover slides
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff prune MAC with pom pom and tassel keychain

Why I wore it:

First wearing of this cute brown linen dress I got from mum for Christmas. I love the Kmart linen dresses, and this one was an obvious choice for a humid day by the river with some colleagues. We are trying to get together more regularly, it was so funny seeing how grown up all our kids are since we caught up last!

While it was a post-Christmas meet up in January I thought I could get away with giving my Christmas cockatoo earrings another wear, and I liked the colour they and the pink Rebecca Minkoff MAC bag added to the neutral linen dress. The bronze foil necklace has neutral beads similar to the dress, but I figured the bright bag and earrings added enough colour that a neutral necklace was a good choice.

Last worn: cockatoo earrings, bronze foil necklace, crossover slides, Rebecca Minkoff MAC. First time I've worn the dress as it was a Christmas present.

Other ways to wearcrossover slides and skirt, Rebecca Minkoff MAC and jeans.

What I wore:

EarringsMIMCO fleur stud silver earrings
Dress: thrifted no label pastel floral print babydoll dress
Shoesslim navy and pink Havaianas
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff MAB Camera Bag in almond

Why I wore it:

Although this dress isn't linen, it is a nice light viscose, and dries so quickly in the sun so is often my go-to choice for pool parties and days by the water. I wore this for a playdate with some friends down at the beach. I only got into the water a few times, but I appreciated having this dress on to cover up my shoulders with for some physical sunblock.

Just like the outfit above, I went with brown and pink again. The almond Rebecca Minkoff MAB camera bag is a nice match for the brown in the print of the dress, and I liked the neutral colour with all the pastel pinks and peaches in the floral print. We ended up heading home for lunch as it had heated up so much it didn't feel like a good idea to be in the sun after just a few hours, but it was nice to have spent some time catching up in the morning.

Last worn: floral babydoll dress, Havaianas, Rebecca Minkoff MAB camera bag. First time I've worn the earrings as they were a Christmas present.

Other ways to wearfloral babydoll dress and blazer, Rebecca Minkoff MAB camera bag and shorts.

Orange Dresses and Red Accessories

Two colourful orange dresses, with red accessories for even more colour for some summer school holiday days. Orange and red is a fun combination I've started reaching for more often, I really like the red accessories with both of these orange dresses.

What I wore:

Earrings: Kmart glitter gingerbread man earrings
Necklace: thrifted red flat bead necklace
Dress: Kmart short sleeve tiered jersey midi dress in amber
Shoes: thrifted Seed Heritage tan braided sandals
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff red micro Avery cross body bag

Why I wore it:

Got this amber tiered midi dress out again for a hot Sunday. It was really humid and threatening rain, but this dress keeps me nice and cool. It was perfect for church in the morning, a sports class with the kids in the afternoon, and then viewing the Christmas lights in the evening (as I wore this back in December).

Thankfully while there were a few rain showers the sports class still went on, it only got really heavy right at the end, so they had a fun time. And the rain cleared up for us viewing the Christmas lights in the evening.

The little Rebecca Minkoff tote bag is more of an orangey-red than the beaded necklace, but I still liked these two pieces together against the amber midi dress.

Last worn: gingerbread earrings, flat red beaded necklace, amber tiered midi dress, braided sandals, micro Avery tote.

Other ways to wearamber tiered midi dress and denim jacket, braided sandals and skirt, micro Avery tote bag worn 30 ways.

What I wore:

Earrings: candy cane hoop earrings
Necklace: adjustable coral flat bead necklace
DressJeanswest Lilah tiered linen dress in orange
Shoes: thrifted Seed Heritage tan braided sandals
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff unlined saddle bag in cherry red

Why I wore it:

Repeated the orange dress and red necklace and bag combination again, because I liked it so much! Even wore the same sandals, they are comfortable and so good in the heat. It was another super hot day, so we hung out at the library for a bit enjoying the aircon there for the morning. The kids always like getting to play on the computers after picking out new books.

We headed home for lunch, and again as this was worn back in December, got a few more Christmas tasks done with some Christmas baking and decorating in preparation for Christmas Eve.

Just like in the first outfit above, the coral red necklace and the red studded saddle bag are different shades of red, but I still liked them together against this orange linen dress.

Last worn: candy cane earrings, coral necklace, orange linen dress, braided sandals (above), Rebecca Minkoff studded saddle bag.

Other ways to wearorange linen dress and tote bag, braided sandals and shortsRebecca Minkoff saddle bag worn 30 ways.

Blue Printed Dresses and Rebecca Minkoff 5 Zip Bag

Braided sandals, braided bag strap and my blue Rebecca Minkoff 5 zip bag with two different blue printed dresses. Both of these days were very hot and humid so I wanted something light to wear, these dresses were perfect!

What I wore:

Necklace: Tiffany & Co silver 5th Avenue notes heart pendant necklace
Dressthrifted no label blue checked smock sundress
Shoes: thrifted Seed Heritage tan braided sandals
Bracelets: the usual
Bagvintage original Rebecca Minkoff 5-zip in faded electric blue

Why I wore it:

I thrifted this dress a while back and this was it's third wear. Not bad for a $1 opshop find!  I am not entirely sure if the v-neck is the front or back, as it has no tags at all, but last time I wore it I put the v-neck to the back. It was nice to try it worn this way for something a little different.

Just added simple sandals and a practical crossbody bag as I didn't need to walk far or carry much. My son and I went on a little Christmas shopping trip and stopped off at the puppy cuddles event to get some snuggles in with some adorable dogs before we headed home for lunch.

Last worn: Tiffany necklace, checked smock dress, braided sandals, Rebecca Minkoff 5 zip bag.

Other ways to wearchecked smock dress in winter, braided sandals and shorts, Rebecca Minkoff 5 zip bag and skirt.

What I wore:

Earrings: gingerbread house earrings (Christmas present from last year)
Necklace: thrifted wood and marble bead thrifted necklace with white string
Dress: Kmart strappy tiered sundress in watercolour blue and blush print
Shoes: thrifted Seed Heritage tan braided sandals
Bracelets: the usual
Bagvintage original Rebecca Minkoff 5-zip in faded electric blue

Why I wore it:

Another hot day, another simple blue printed dress. Again with the same accessories because if something works I tend to just repeat the formula over again! This was not as fun as the day above, but definitely just as hot and humid, if not hotter! I was working from home and had a couple of errands to do after the school pickup in the afternoon. I like how well this tiered sundress keeps me cool on hot days, it's definitely a firm favourite of mine. I'm always surprised to find I've not reached 30 wears on it yet, I feel I wear it a lot in Brisbane's warmer months.

Last worn: blue tiered sundress, necklace, braided sandals (above), Rebecca Minkoff 5 zip bag (above). First time I've worn the earrings as they were a Christmas gift.

Other ways to wearblue tiered sundress under a tee, braided sandals and jeans, Rebecca Minkoff 5 zip bag and blazer

Pink and Purple Denim Skirt and Tee Outfits With Floral Prints

Two different Target stretch denim pencil skirt outfits with pink and purple. While these outfits follow a very similar outfit formula, I liked how different both turned out.

What I wore:

Jacket: Target Karolina summer kimono in purple black floral
Earrings: Kmart glitter gingerbread man earrings
Tee: Kmart short sleeve cotton modal tee in tulip pink
Skirt: Target classic denim skirt in white
ShoesAdidas Superstar sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
BagPolene numero neuf mini in textured mauve

Why I wore it:

I wanted a comfortable but practical outfit for my annual Christmas shopping day out with my mum and sister. Decided on this white denim skirt, as I was out most of the day and didn't have to worry about wet doggy footprints on the white denim! The white Adidas Superstar sneakers were a nice comfortable choice for a day walking around all the shops, getting the bulk of my Christmas shopping done. Just a couple things I've ordered online that I'm waiting for now.

As we often buy each other things while out shopping, I thought a skirt and tee was a good outfit for trying things on. We did try on a few things too so I was glad I wore this outfit. I didn't add a necklace as I had my big glittery gingerbread statement earrings, and with the purple floral print on the cover up I felt the earrings and floral print added enough interest on their own.

Although the lilac Polene Numero Neuf mini bag isn't an exact match with the purple in the print, I really liked it with this outfit, and I only needed the essentials on our shopping trip anyway.
Jacket: Jeanswest Polly printed kimono in white base ditsy floral
Necklace: thrifted pastel pink and wooden hexagon bead necklace
Tee: Kmart basic purple tee
Skirt: thrifted Target black stretch denim skirt
Shoesthrifted white leather Chuck Taylor All Star Converse sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
BagBalenciaga RH classic city in 2010 sorbet

Why I wore it:

Since I liked the pink and purple skirt and tee combination above so much, I wore it again, this time with my black Target denim skirt. This one was an opshop find. I really liked the purple tee with it, it's such a bold colour. Also wanted to add a necklace to this outfit as while I was also wearing statement gingerbread earrings in this outfit, they are a smaller set than the one above. With the blush pink necklace, and the pink floral print of the white cover up and the sorbet pink of the Balenciaga city bag, there was a lot of pink in this outfit, but I think all the shades of the colour worked so nicely together.

It was a good outfit for a hot day, with church in the morning, and then a kids bowling party in the afternoon.

Last wornfloral cover up, blush necklace, purple tee, black denim skirt, Converse, Balenciaga sorbet city bag. First time I've worn the earrings as they were a gift.

Other ways to wearfloral cover up and jeans, purple tee and printed jeans, black denim skirt and stripes, Converse and dress, Balenciaga sorbet city bag worn 30 ways.

Bright Kmart Dresses and Black Rebecca Minkoff Unlined Tote Bag

Wearing two bright Kmart dresses with my black Rebecca Minkoff unlined tote bag for warm spring days recently in Brisbane.

What I wore:

Necklace:  thrifted blue tone flat bead statement necklace
Dressthrifted Kmart short sleeve godet skirt linen blend dress in fuchsia
Belt: came with dress
Shoes: thrifted Anko Kmart black strappy sandals
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff medium unlined tote in black with shellac studded dome hardware

Why I wore it:

This was a very humid day! We had a birthday party in the park to attend, followed by a sports event for my son in the afternoon. With the heat and being outside so much, I knew this Kmart linen dress would be perfect. I thrifted it a while back for $1, after I missed out when it sold out so quickly in store I was thrilled to find it in the opshop. It was perfect for a morning in the sun as it has good shoulder coverage, and it helped keep me cool all day.

I needed my big Rebecca Minkoff black unlined tote bag for water bottles as well as all my usual essentials, and then I added the big statement necklace for a little extra colour. Wore simple sandals to match the bag too, I love a little matchy-matchy! The sandals were an opshop find too.

Last worn: Kmart linen dress, blue statement necklace, strappy sandals, Rebecca Minkoff unlined tote bag.

Other ways to wearKmart linen dress in winter, strappy sandals and jeans, Rebecca Minkoff unlined tote bag and shorts.

What I wore:

Earrings: Kmart glitter gingerbread man earrings
Necklace: Jeanswest Taryn turquoise tassel bead necklace
DressKmart Whsdch Red short sleeved tiered midi dress
ShoesLes Tropeziennes Par M.Belarbi leopard print and gold leather sandals
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff medium unlined tote in black with shellac studded dome hardware

Why I wore it:

Just had to wear this coral dress for our annual family Christmas photo! We had church in the morning, then our photos and then I did a little Christmas shopping with my son in the afternoon. It was really interesting trying to juggle two dogs for the family photo for the first time, with Cooper and Bonnie!

Added gold accessories to this dress with the turquoise tassel necklace and my glittery gingerbread earrings - I'm loving wearing all my Christmas earrings this year, I've got quite a collection now! Because it was a hot day I wore another pair of sandals, these leopard print ones were an opshop find and I liked that they had a bit of glitter to match the glittery earrings too.

Blue Dresses With Wine Purple Chloe Paraty Bag

Wearing two different blue long sleeved dresses with sandals, and my wine purple small Chloe Paraty bag. The deep purple just works with any shade of blue!

What I wore:

EarringsMichael Hill stud earrings with aqua cubic zirconia in sterling silver
Necklace: For King & Country Priceless Australian coin and crest necklace
DressJaase Celine autumn leaves mini dress
ShoesLes Tropeziennes Par M.Belarbi leopard print and gold leather sandals
Bracelets: the usual plus pink and gold bracelet stack on other arm
BagChloe small Paraty bag in wine purple

Why I wore it:

This was a really fun day. We did have to vote in the morning, but afterwards the kids and I headed out with my mum and sister for lunch and a little start to Christmas shopping. It was really good to spend time together, and avoid the rain as we shopped inside.

The Chloe small party was a good bag to wear as it fit all my essentials plus a water bottle as it was quite a humid spring day in Brisbane. I've worn this dress and bag together before, although there isn't any purple in the autumn leaves print of the Jaase dress I feel the darker shade compliments the autumn colours nicely.

Last worn: blue stud earrings, For King & Country necklace, Jaase Celine dress, leopard print sandals, Chloe wine purple Paraty bag.

Other ways to wearJaase Celine dress and denim jacket, leopard print sandals and maxi skirt, Chloe wine purple Paraty bag and maxi skirt.

What I wore:

Earrings: gold pendant chandelier earrings
DressTarget puff sleeve tiered denim dress
Shoes: thrifted Seed Heritage tan braided sandals
Bracelets: the usual
BagChloe small Paraty bag in wine purple

Why I wore it:

I took the opportunity to wear another of my blue long sleeved dresses before the weather heats up too much in Brisbane. This denim dress is not something I'll get a lot of opportunity to wear over the warmer summer unfortunately.

Again I wore the same Chloe purple Paraty bag. I like the darker bag against the paler denim of this Target tiered dress. Even if I didn't need to carry more than the essentials with me, it's not an overly large bag so it's nice even on a day I only need to bring the basics with me.

It was grandparents day at church so they had a special Grandparent's picnic morning tea afterwards that the boys really enjoyed, it was so sweet to see them picking the perfect picnic basket!

Last worn: gold earrings, Target tiered denim dress, braided sandals, Chloe wine purple Paraty bag (above).

Other ways to wearTarget tiered denim dress and leather jacket, braided sandals and shorts, Chloe wine purple Paraty bag and denim skirt.
