Pink Tees and Printed Shorts

Although it's officialy autumn now in Brisbane, I wore these outfits back in summer. It had been a particularly hot summer, so I defaulted to shorts and tee outfits like this a lot! Both of these outfits have printed shorts and pink tees.

What I wore:

Why I wore it:

I was surprised to see in my blog archives I haven't worn this ombre pink tee and the black printed shorts together before! I really like wearing these cute black printed shorts with pink, and this tee is such a good pairing.

Had a very quiet day with the school run, working from home, and a physio appointment so shorts and a tee (and practical sneakers) was a good choice for the day. I added a bit of matchy-matchy with the navy Sketchers and the navy beads in the necklace. And then added another print against the black printed shorts with the hand illustrated Rebecca Minkoff mini MAB tote bag. I really like wearing it with pink!

Why I wore it:

Another shorts and tee outfit for the school run and working from home. Despite a rainy start to the day, it was still a hot and humid one, so I appreciated this slouchy soft pink tee and the loose relaxed culotte shorts. With the different shades of pink in the tee and the print of the shorts, I added the neutral beaded necklace to keep it simple.

Stuck with blue accessories, with the blue Converse and this Luna blue Edie shoulder bag which works so well with pink and with navy.

Kmart Printed Culotte Shorts With Red Tees

Wearing my two pairs of Kmart printed culotte shorts with some red tees for hot and humid days at the end of summer in Brisbane.

Why I wore it:

Wore this to start our long holiday weekend with family on Tangalooma Resort (on Mulgumpin island). I had my big Louis Vuitton Neverfull tote as it's both a good beach bag and a great travel bag! It easily fit some snacks, bottles of water, and activities for the ferry ride over to entertain the kids and I, and it meant I didn't need another bag for day to day beach life.

We left early morning and got to enjoy the beach and pools before dinner. It was a busy day of travel but so relaxing once we got the resort on the island. Last time I stayed at Tangalooma was for our honeymoon, so it was great spending time there again. The kids loved it, really should have taken them sooner!

While there is no red in the print of these culotte shorts, I thought the red and navy combination was nice and colourful, and this was a comfortable outfit for our trip.

Why I wore it:

While the outfit above is all things bought new, this outfit is mostly thrifted, except for the sneakers! The coral red tee, beaded necklace, pastel print culotte shorts, resin bracelets and Stella McCartney Falabella bag are all opshop finds.

Just like the outfit above, this shorts and tee outfit was super comfortable. Stayed in Brisbane with this though, no exciting trips, as I was working from home and had the school run. Needed the navy Sketchers sneakers as I'd injured my knee on our holiday, and needed the extra support.

I liked the washed coral tee with this - there is a little rust in the print on these culotte shorts and while the red tee and the red resin bangle aren't an exact shade match, I thought the pieces complimented each other nicely.

Graphic Tees and Printed Shorts With Lilac Numero Neuf Mini Bag

An easy solution for the summer heat and humidity in Brisbane - shorts and tee outfits! Wearing some graphic tees with these soft printed shorts to try keep cool for working from home days.

What I wore:

Why I wore it:

Could not resist wearing this Strange Planet graphic tee again. "Wildly unprepared for the day" being a perfect slogan for the return to school after summer break! It was such a hot day in the heatwave, I was glad when the kids were happily in their classrooms and I could head home to work in the air conditioning! Sadly the humidity hadn't dropped much in the afternoon for school pickup when we had a quick errand to run.

Although there is no teal in the print on these soft culotte shorts I really liked the navy background with the teal tee, such a good combination. The lilac Polene numero neuf mini bag also didn't match anything, but I thought it was a good accessory with the pastel in the graphic print on the tee and on the shorts.

Why I wore it:

This outfit was a little more matchy-matchy than the one above, with the black and white printed shorts, black Havaianas, and the black and white band tee. This Kisschasy tee is such a favourite of mine, and while it has a busy print I think it worked well with the print on the shorts as they are both black and white. With the monochromatic black and white colour scheme, the lilac Polene Numero Neuf mini bag was a fun touch of colour.

Had a lot of errands to try cram into the morning before working from home, and then luckily a more relaxed evening.

Black Tees and Printed Culotte Shorts With Green Mini 5-Zip Bag

The best thing about printed shorts is that they are so easy to wear with a plain black tee! So good I wore the combination twice, just with different tees and shorts each time.

Why I wore it:

Such an easy outfit for a summer school run and working from home day with this plain black tee and the cute pastel print thrifted culotte shorts. They are so comfortable in the humidity! Stuck with my Havaianas as it was too hot for closed in shoes, and this cute little green crossbody bag as I didn't need to carry much with me.

Although the green in the print of the shorts is more of a pastel green, I really liked the darker green of the mini 5-zip bag with this.

This was a busy day! After the school run and working from home, we had a playdate at the park after school and a bunch of errands to run as well as sports in the afternoon. Again I went for the failsafe shorts and tee outfit, just like the one above with this black tee and navy printed culotte shorts. I added a couple different shades of green to this with the beaded necklace and the dark green mini 5-zip bag, even though there is no green in the print of the shorts I think the accessories worked well with this. Black and navy always work together, as does blue and green.

Navy Tees, Shorts, Prints and Pink Jean MAC Bag

Two simple navy tees and shorts outfits, again with my Rebecca Minkoff fig pink Jean MAC bag. I've really been loving it lately, and the pretty pink shade goes so nicely with navy.

What I wore:

Why I wore it:

Needed a nice simple shorts and tee outfit for the school run, working from home, and a physio appointment. This shorts and tee combination was perfect. With the navy blue tee and the pastel blue of the shorts the tri-colour necklace that had similar shades of blue was a great accessory! And I wore this Rebecca Minkoff Jean MAC bag again because I love it with navy. Comfortable Sketchers sneakers for the drive to the physio and for doing all the exercises.

Why I wore it:

Again, needed a comfortable and simple outfit so wen with shorts and a tee. These turquoise thrifted linen shorts were great in the heat! With the navy tee and turquoise shorts I wanted to add a little extra colour as well, the fig pink Rebecca Minkoff Jean MAC bag was again good for this.  When I saw this cover up in my wardrobe and knew it would be perfect, with the different shades or pink and blue in the print. I liked how well coordinated this outfit was!

Had a couple errands to run in the morning, then had my parents come over for lunch.

Just like in Monday's post, wearing my little fig pink Rebecca Minkoff Jean MAC bag again, with pink tees, printed shorts, and some cover ups.

Why I wore it:

I really liked how well all the pieces in this outfit worked together! It was a little cold for just shorts and a tee so I thought I'd try this dark floral print cover up. I don't always like when I try print mixing with these black printed shorts, but I really liked the florals with this. I think the matching dark backgrounds worked well.

The pink tee is a firm favourite and always looks good with purple, and even though the navy necklace doesn't match anything in the outfit, again it just seemed to work.

Had a nice day, working from home and a playdate for my son, my friend was kind enough to take him for a few hours so I could get some work done.

Why I wore it:

This was definitely shorts and tee weather! I liked the brighter pink of the tee against these pastel print culotte shorts. Needed the sneakers for a bit of a drive, we had a playdate up north to visit a new spot to us but one our friends love visiting. While it was a hot and humid day I had to add a cover up for extra sun protection - I feel this white one worked well, as the embroidery isn't too busy combined with the print on the shorts.

Just like in the outfit above, I wore my fig pink Rebecca Minkoff Jean MAC bag again, it's so good with different shades of pink like this brighter tee.

Blue and Pink Floral Print Outfits For Spring

Two simple pink and blue outfits for spring. Both have a little touch of florals, although the first one has a pink tee and blue shorts and the second is a blue tee and pink jeans to switch it up a little.

Why I wore it:

This was an eventful day! I was working from home when there was an incident in the street and I had to run out to help. Thankfully I didn't have to provide a lot of first aid as it was just a minor incident, but not the best way to meet the new neighbours!

As it had been a warm day, shorts and a tee were perfect, and after I wrapped up things with work we had a couple of errands to run and I took my son to an appointment.

I wasn't sure if the floral print bag would be too much against the print on the shorts, but I think the colours being similar helped tie it all together, and I really liked this combination.

Why I wore it:

This time around I went with a brighter shade of pink, with the magenta jeans and the pastel tee. With the red and pink floral print in the cover up, I thought the magenta jeans complimented it quite nicely, and I do always like blue and pink together so the pastel blue tee was an easy choice. It let me do a bit of matchy-matchy with the blue Converse too.

Didn't need to carry much, another wok from home day with a physio appointment in the afternoon so it was a good opportunity to get this little olive Darren bag out again - can't even fit my wallet in it, it really is just for the essentials.

Like with the jeans, I liked how the olive worked with the shades of green in the floral print.

Printed Kmart culottes, Plain Tees and Yellow Crossbody | Weekday Wear Link Up

Shorts and tee for today's Weekday Wear Link Up, thanks to the late summer heatwaves in Brisbane. Got out my Kmart printed culottes, which were a must-have for me last summer but haven't been worn as much yet this summer. Paired them with plain and colourful tees, to let the shorts and the bright yellow Rebecca Minkoff mini 5-zip bag be the focal points of my outfits.

What I wore:

Why I wore it:

When I thrifted these Kmart printed culottes, I just got them because I already had and loved another pair in a different print (that I'm wearing below). I didn't really think about what I'd wear with them, so I am pleasantly surprised when I find so many good pairings in my wardrobe for them! This clay tee matches the darker rust in the print of the shorts so well.

I like the matchy-matchy of the shorts and tee together, and although the yellow bag doesn't match any of the outfit, I thought it was a nice pop of colour. Just needed a small crossbody as I didn't need much for a quiet day. The school run, working from home, and an appointment at the vets for Cooper at lunch time.

Why I wore it:

This outfit is a bit darker than the one above, but still just as good for the heat! This slouchy deep purple tee always pairs so nicely with navy. I added a bit more navy for some matchy-matchy with the necklace also.

Another super hot day, but a little more running around to do with the school run, working from home again, and errands and visit to the library in the afternoon, so I went with these rose gold sandals for comfort.

Again I wore the little yellow Rebecca Minkoff mini 5-zip bag. It's not an exact match with the yellow in the print of the culottes, but like in the outfit above, I really like the pop of colour it adds, especially with the purple tee.

I'm determined to get to 30 wears with this tee and I'm so close, but it's a super soft mix of spandex and modal and the spandex is not holding up too well. I feel the tee gets droopier and droopier every time I wear it, haha! Not something I will be able to keep in my wardrobe for long past 30 wears unfortunately. I had a similar issue with the grey tee I purchased around the same time, made from the same materials, and it's why I prefer buying cotton tees.

Pink and Navy Outfits With Small Chloe Paraty Bag

This has been the spring of pink and blue! Sharing another two more pink and blue outfits with my beautiful small Chloe Paraty bag in periwinkle being the perfect accessory for both outfits, despite the different shades in my clothes.

Why I wore it:

This was a busy day in the school holidays! We had a bunch of errands to run in the morning, and with the sudden warmth spring bought, Cooper had been very badly due for a trim. We dropped him at the groomers before crossing a few more things off the to-do list and buying some presents for upcoming birthday parties. Then we had to head home while I worked from home and the kids entertained themselves for a few hours - luckily they were quiet for most of my meetings that day.

This pink tee has been on frequent repeat lately. I haven't hit 30 wears with it yet but it might be my most worn tee this year, particularly in recent months. I've worn it with printed culotte shorts recently, but it's the first time I've paired it with these navy printed ones that I have hit 30 wears with. Because it was such a hot day, simple shorts, tee and Havaianas was all I needed, especially with all the running around we had to do.

Tried being a little matchy-matchy with the gold hardware on my small Chloe Paraty bag with the gold necklace and gold and black bracelet stack as well.

What I wore:

Why I wore it:

I often reach for these pink leopard print jeans in spring! There's something so spring-like about the bright pink leopard print, and they are incredibly fun jeans to wear. Blue has to be the colour I wear with them most often, so I thought I'd mix it up a little with this navy graphic tee that has a purple print on it so it was a little different from all the other times I've paired a navy top with these jeans! It was a quiet Sunday, we didn't have too much on, just an appointment for my son, so jeans and a tee was nice and comfortable. And the Chloe Paraty bag fits more than it looks like - had a little library book in there to read while waiting for our appointment.

Again I stuck with my Havaianas - the warm spring weather is making me want to take a break from my sneakers and Converse!
