What I wore:
Jacket: Glassons orange jersey blazer
Necklace: Roie Designs coral beaded tassel necklaceTank: Jeanswest Rowena print tank
Jeans: thrifted Jeanswest faded black cropped butt lifter jeans
Shoes: Converse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bag: Chloe Marcie medium shoulder bag in nut
Why I wore it:
With this brown printed tank and the faded black skinny jeans, this was a pretty dark outfit. The orange blazer was the perfect pop of colour with it to brighten it up a bit, and make this tank more office appropriate by covering up my shoulders. While the peach in the necklace doesn't match the orange blazer at all I thought they looked nice together, and it was another way to introduce a bit more lightness to my outfit. The Chloe Marcie bag wasn't really needed - I don't carry much to the office other than the essentials, and I have a work issued laptop bag for my laptop, so I usually take smaller bags to the office. But I'd used this bag the day before and it was easier to use it again than swap out all my things into a new bag.
Last worn: orange blazer, beaded tassel necklace, printed tank, faded black skinny jeans, Converse, Chloe Marcie shoulder bag.
Other ways to wear: orange blazer and skirt, printed tank with green, faded black skinny jeans and knit, Converse and dress, Chloe Marcie shoulder bag and maxi skirt.
Perfect for pregnancy: printed tank in second trimester, Converse in second trimester.
Jacket: Jeanswest Nadine 3/4 sleeve dusky pink blazer
Necklace: thrifted flat peach statement bead necklace
Tank: Kmart navy bird print peplum frill hem tank
Jeans: Dannii Minogue denim high waist skinny jean in ecru
Shoes: Converse Chuck Taylor All Star low in white
Bracelets: the usual
Bag: Chloe Marcie medium shoulder bag in nut

Chloe Marcie Hobo Bag Review:
What I wore:
Necklace: thrifted flat peach statement bead necklace
Tank: Kmart navy bird print peplum frill hem tank
Jeans: Dannii Minogue denim high waist skinny jean in ecru
Shoes: Converse Chuck Taylor All Star low in white
Bracelets: the usual
Bag: Chloe Marcie medium shoulder bag in nut
Why I wore it:
Thankfully it wasn't yet too cold when I wore this outfit - it was before the record breaking cold we had in Brisbane. So cropped jeans and a 3/4 sleeve blazer were perfect for the temps.Again, I really liked the blazer and jeans combination. This one is more colourful than the first outfit, with the bright printed peplum tank and the blush blazer. Surprisingly I haven't tried the blazer and tank together before, despite the matching blush in the bird print! I really liked the combination.
Couldn't quite decide on a necklace with this, in the end I decided to go for a pop of colour and added this little peach one I thrifted earlier this year. Orange is such a cheerful colour to add into an outfit.
Last worn: blush blazer, bird print peplum tank, peach necklace, white skinny jeans, Converse, Chloe Marcie shoulder bag (above).
Other ways to wear: blush blazer worn 2 ways, bird print peplum tank and skirt, white skinny jeans and sequins, Converse and pink dress, Chloe Marcie shoulder bag and maxi dress.
Perfect for pregnancy: blush blazer in third trimester, Converse in second trimester.

Coming from a moderate climate, I'm curious to know what temperature your record breaking cold was :-)
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I'm loving both of these looks, with a slight preference for the first one. The pop of orange from your blazer is fantastic! xxx
Love that orange blazer with your first outfit, Mica! I have one like that, and I have to stop myself from wearing it with everything! I like the second outfit, especially the top/blazer combo. I think the orange necklace is a little too distracting - the length and bulky shapes conflict with the bird print. A smaller necklace or a brooch or orange earrings would work better, I think - but overall, that's a tiny thing! You look amazing and totally profesh!
ReplyDeleteI hope no more record-breaking cold comes your way! Sending you warm wafts of wind from the west coast! And thank you so much for the link-party!
I love a pop of colour and the orange is perfect. Plus that bag makes the best accessory. I hope your having a great week it’s amazing how it’s already June pretty soon the season will change.

Yeah, that pop of orange in the first outfit made it very nice.
ReplyDeleteAdding a blazer was a great way to easily and stylishly upgrade both of these outfits to office appropriate! Love the orange blazer for autumn. It is such a good feeling to find a perfect match in your closet that you had not noticed was there, with the blush blazer and cute bird print top. Hope you enjoy your week!
ReplyDeleteYou always have a great work look Mica. It's nice to see some color in the workplace,
