Blue Tops, Printed Maxi Skirts and Pink Bags

For a couple of busy days before Christmas with the school run and working from home, I wore blue tops and printed maxi skirts with little pink Rebecca Minkoff bags.

What I wore:

Earrings: Avocado Santa hat earrings
Necklace: thrifted pastel pink and wooden hexagon bead necklace
Cami: thrifted no label chambray tie strap cami
Skirt: Ally Fashion blue border print floral maxi skirt
Shoesslim navy and pink Havaianas
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff mini MAC redyed with Angelus hot pink leather paint

Why I wore it:

This was what I wore on my last day at work for the year, back in December. As it was such a warm day I went with this chambray cami and light floral print maxi skirt. I like the slits up the side for catching the breeze on hot days like this was. It was a very busy day trying to wrap everything up for the last working day of the year, but I still had a little time to squeeze in an appointment before school pick up.

I didn't need to carry much so I picked this little pink Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC bag to carry the essentials. I really liked the redyed pink shade with the pink flowers in the floral print maxi skirt.

Last worn: avocado earrings, chambray cami, wooden necklace, floral maxi skirt, Havaianas, redyed mini MAC bag.

Other ways to wearchambray cami and jeans, floral maxi skirt with purple, redyed mini MAC bag and dress.

What I wore:

Earrings: mini glitter gingerbread earrings
Tee: teal Strange Planet 'wildly unprepared for the day' graphic tee
Skirt: thrifted SES Fashions vertical stripe maxi skirt
Shoes: thrifted Anko Kmart black strappy sandals
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff MAB crossbody with studs in desert rose

Why I wore it:

This was another busy day working from home and trying to fit everything in, although not as busy as the day above as it wasn't my last day at work for the year. I just had less time to work as I had a couple of hours off in the afternoon to see my son perform, before it was off to sports in the evening. When I was getting dressed that morning I knew that my "Wildly unprepared for the day" graphic tee would be the perfect thing to wear. I went with a maxi skirt again, they are so good in the summer weather, and I like this vertical striped one as it has pockets.

I added a pink bag as I was inspired by the pink backpack in the graphic print, although maybe I should have went for a deeper pink one to match a little better. The studded MAB was a good sized bag for carrying everything I needed for the day though, it fits all my essentials plus easily held my camera as well for my son's performance.

Last worn: mini gingerbread earrings, Strange Planet graphic tee, vertical stripe maxi skirt, strappy sandals, Rebecca Minkoff studded MAB crossbody bag.

Other ways to wearStrange Planet graphic tee and shorts, vertical stripe maxi skirt and denim jacket, strappy sandals and dress, Rebecca Minkoff studded MAB crossbody bag and jeans.

Tonal Denim Skirt Outfits With Printed Cover Ups

Taking inspiration from the colours in these printed cover ups to create some similarly tonal coloured denim skirt and tee outfits to wear with them.

What I wore:

JacketThe Kindness Kimono 'Dream Catch Me' print
Earrings: mini glitter gingerbread earrings
Necklace: thrifted bronze foil statement necklace
TeeCotton On The One fitted v tee in washed red clay
SkirtNobody Denim Piper vacation skirt in black distressed denim
ShoesLes Tropeziennes Par M.Belarbi leopard print and gold leather sandals
Bracelets: the usual
BagChloe small Ethel bag in light khaki

Why I wore it:

Felt I hadn't worn this cover up in a while so got it out again for a busy day, working from home with the school run, a couple of errands, and a trip to the vets for Cooper. I like the print in this cover up, and it's not the first time I've worn it with this tee and skirt combination. While the print is orange and red, I like the pairing with the rust tee, it's a nice group of colours. Last time I wore these pieces together I wore a red bag and Converse, this time around I picked out the yellow and khakis in the print and wore my light khaki small Chloe Ethel bag. I needed a big bag for everything I had to carry around for the day, and this bag holds a lot more than you would think!

Because I wore this back at the start of December, I wore my mini gingerbread earrings again. I liked how the brown glitters tied in with the tonal colours in this outfit.

Last worn: mini gingerbread earrings, printed cover up, bronze foil necklace, rust tee, Nobody Denim skirt, leopard print sandals, Chloe small Ethel bag.

Other ways to wearprinted cover up and dress, rust tee and printed shorts, Nobody Denim skirt and sequins, leopard print sandals and dress, Chloe small Ethel bag and midi skirt.

What I wore:

Jacket: Jeanswest Jamie printed kimono
Earrings: gold Christmas present bow hoops
NecklaceZuriCollections blue polymer clay necklace
TeeCotton On The One fitted v tee in washed poolside blue
Skirt: JayJays distressed denim mini skirt
Shoesthrifted white leather Chuck Taylor All Star Converse sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff Micro Bedford zip satchel in twilight

Why I wore it:

Since I liked the outfit above so much, I decided to wear another similar tonal style outfit with the blue denim mini skirt, blue tee, navy bag and blue printed cover up. This was another school run and work from home day, with an appointment for my son in the morning and then a pool playdate in the afternoon. I was tempted to wear my blue Converse with this, but thought it may be a little too much blue, so I went with the white Converse instead, to match the white in the busy tile print of the cover up.

While I really liked all of the blue tones in this outfit I did regret the choice of cover up a little. This is a polyester one and it was such a hot and humid day. I ended up sitting on the edge of the pool and dipping my legs in to keep cool in the afternoon (only the kids had their swimmers) as it was just much too hot to wear polyester. I got splashed quite a few times by the kids playing and jumping in the pool, but honestly I didn't mind, it helped me cool down!

Last worn: earringsblue tile print cover up, blue beaded necklace, pastel blue tee, denim mini skirt, white Converse, Rebecca Minkoff Bedford bag.

Other ways to wearblue tile print cover up and stripes, pastel blue tee and shorts, denim mini skirt and leopard print, white Converse and dress, Rebecca Minkoff Bedford bag and jeans.

Green And Leopard Print Skirt Outfits With Mimco Bags

I like to repeat outfit formulas when I've enjoyed wearing them. Green and leopard is a combination I tried and liked so much I had to wear it twice! In both of these outfits I've accessorised with Mimco bags too.

What I wore:

Earrings: Avocado Santa hat earrings
Necklace: thrifted Belle Folie multi colour tassel necklace
Tee: thrifted Cotton On The one crew tee in green
Skirt: Target animal print ruffle hem mini skirt
Shoes: thrifted Seed Heritage tan braided sandals
Bracelets: the usual
BagMimco vintage cocoon bucket bag in teal

Why I wore it:

We had a video call this afternoon while I was working from home that was a themed event so I knew this outfit would be perfect for it! Surprisingly I haven't tried wearing green with this leopard print skirt before, it's such a nice combination! I added a little more colour with the fun tassel necklace, but went a little matchy-matchy with the green avocado Santa hat earrings matching the green of the tee, even though they are slightly different shades.

I picked the braided sandals to match the brown in the print of the skirt too, and although the teal Mimco Cocoon bag doesn't match anything in the outfit, I really liked it against the green tee. This bag has been getting a lot of love recently since I scored it on eBay.

Last worn: avocado earrings, green tee, tassel necklace, leopard print skirt, braided sandals, Mimco teal cocoon bucket bag.

Other ways to weargreen tee and midi skirt, leopard print skirt and leather jacket, braided sandals and dress, Mimco teal cocoon bucket bag and pencil skirt.

What I wore:

Jacket: thrifted no label leopard print cover up with waist tie
Earrings: candy cane hoop earrings
Necklace: thrifted mint silicone statement necklace
Tank: Jeanswest Jenni basic singlet in Emerald green
Skirt: thrifted Target black stretch denim skirt
Shoes: thrifted Anko Kmart black strappy sandals
Bracelets: the usual
BagMIMCO Mim-Mazing crossbody bag in black and light gold

Why I wore it:

Another day with the school run and working from home, and another green and leopard print outfit. This time I wore a leopard print cover up over a green tank and black denim skirt. I felt even when working from home that the green tank was a bit casual for having my video on in some meetings, the leopard print cover up dressed it up a little bit more, and covered up my shoulders for physical sunblock on the school run too.

With the black denim skirt, the black strappy sandals and the black Mimco Mim-Mazing crossbody bag seemed like obvious accessories. I added a little more green to this outfit too with the mint beads in the silicone necklace.

Last worn: leopard cover up, silicone necklace, green tank, black denim skirt, strappy sandals, Mimco Mim-Mazing crossbody bag. First time I've worn the earrings, a Christmas gift last year.

Other ways to wearleopard cover up and shorts, green tank and jeans, black denim skirt with orange, strappy sandals and shorts, Mimco Mim-Mazing crossbody bag and blazer.

Perfect for pregnancy: green tank at 39 weeks.

Blue Printed Dresses and Rebecca Minkoff 5 Zip Bag

Braided sandals, braided bag strap and my blue Rebecca Minkoff 5 zip bag with two different blue printed dresses. Both of these days were very hot and humid so I wanted something light to wear, these dresses were perfect!

What I wore:

Necklace: Tiffany & Co silver 5th Avenue notes heart pendant necklace
Dressthrifted no label blue checked smock sundress
Shoes: thrifted Seed Heritage tan braided sandals
Bracelets: the usual
Bagvintage original Rebecca Minkoff 5-zip in faded electric blue

Why I wore it:

I thrifted this dress a while back and this was it's third wear. Not bad for a $1 opshop find!  I am not entirely sure if the v-neck is the front or back, as it has no tags at all, but last time I wore it I put the v-neck to the back. It was nice to try it worn this way for something a little different.

Just added simple sandals and a practical crossbody bag as I didn't need to walk far or carry much. My son and I went on a little Christmas shopping trip and stopped off at the puppy cuddles event to get some snuggles in with some adorable dogs before we headed home for lunch.

Last worn: Tiffany necklace, checked smock dress, braided sandals, Rebecca Minkoff 5 zip bag.

Other ways to wearchecked smock dress in winter, braided sandals and shorts, Rebecca Minkoff 5 zip bag and skirt.

What I wore:

Earrings: gingerbread house earrings (Christmas present from last year)
Necklace: thrifted wood and marble bead thrifted necklace with white string
Dress: Kmart strappy tiered sundress in watercolour blue and blush print
Shoes: thrifted Seed Heritage tan braided sandals
Bracelets: the usual
Bagvintage original Rebecca Minkoff 5-zip in faded electric blue

Why I wore it:

Another hot day, another simple blue printed dress. Again with the same accessories because if something works I tend to just repeat the formula over again! This was not as fun as the day above, but definitely just as hot and humid, if not hotter! I was working from home and had a couple of errands to do after the school pickup in the afternoon. I like how well this tiered sundress keeps me cool on hot days, it's definitely a firm favourite of mine. I'm always surprised to find I've not reached 30 wears on it yet, I feel I wear it a lot in Brisbane's warmer months.

Last worn: blue tiered sundress, necklace, braided sandals (above), Rebecca Minkoff 5 zip bag (above). First time I've worn the earrings as they were a Christmas gift.

Other ways to wearblue tiered sundress under a tee, braided sandals and jeans, Rebecca Minkoff 5 zip bag and blazer

Pink and Purple Tee and Denim Skirt Outfits With Rebecca Minkoff Cupid

Getting my black denim skirts out again, enjoying the spring weather in Brisbane! I wore both these black denim skirts recently with my Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag, and pink and purple.

What I wore:

Jacket: Jeanswest Polly kimono in dusty pink
Necklace: blush pink and gold beaded tassel necklace
Tee: Kmart basic purple tee
SkirtNobody Denim Piper vacation skirt in black distressed denim
ShoesLes Tropeziennes Par M.Belarbi leopard print and gold leather sandals
Bracelets: the usual
Bagthrifted Rebecca Minkoff vintage Cupid satchel in dark navy blue

Why I wore it:

A humid day called for bringing out my denim mini skirt again. I love this Nobody Denim one, such a staple. I scored it second hand and always enjoy wearing it. Made it more colourful with the purple tee and the pink cover up, with the blush pink tassel necklace for a little matchy-matchy even though it's not quite the same shade as the cover up. I like wearing the two together.

Wore my Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag to carry a little extra, as while I was working from home I had the school run in the morning and the afternoon, as well as a couple of errands. Unfortunately got caught in the hail storm in the afternoon, although thankfully the car wasn't damaged!

Last worn: pink cover up, blush necklace, purple tee, Nobody Denim skirt, leopard print sandals, Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag.

Other ways to wearpink cover up and shorts, purple tee and jeans, Nobody Denim skirt and sequins, leopard print sandals and dress, Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag and jeans.

What I wore:

JacketThe Kindness Collective 'Kaleidoscope Dreams' printed kimono
Necklace: terrazzo and wood rose gold bead necklace
TeeCotton On deep v tee in washed desert rose
Skirt: thrifted Target black stretch denim skirt
Shoes: thrifted Anko Kmart black strappy sandals
Bracelets: the usual
Bagthrifted Rebecca Minkoff vintage Cupid satchel in dark navy blue

Why I wore it:

Just like the day above, another copycat outfit formula. I went for a pink tee this time with a purple printed over up and my black denim skirt, Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag and sandals.

This black denim skirt was a lucky opshop find. I have the same style in white I bought in store at Target, because I like this one so much. It was a nice neutral with the black strappy sandals, and the Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag. Both of which are opshop finds also! The pink tee is a very comfortable one I always like wearing, although I haven't worn it with this purple printed cover up before. I liked the two together. I picked this neutral necklace to accessorise a little as I had a few video calls while working from home. Thankfully no storms impacted the school run this time.

Last worn: purple printed cover up, terrazzo necklace, pink tee, black denim skirt, strappy sandals, Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag (above).

Other ways to wearpurple printed cover up and shorts, pink tee and jeans, black denim skirt and leopard, strappy sandals and maxi skirt, Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag and dress.

Linen Tiered Dresses and Chloe Ethel Bag

For warmer spring days, two colourful tiered linen dresses are great for the heat! I've worn both these dresses with my little Chloe Ethel bag.

What I wore:

Necklace: thrifted wooden yellow tassel necklace
DressJeanswest Lilah tiered linen dress in orange
ShoesLes Tropeziennes Par M.Belarbi leopard print and gold leather sandals
Bracelets: the usual
BagChloe small Ethel bag in light khaki

Why I wore it:

This light and bright orange tiered linen dress was perfect for a very hot and humid Sunday! It was pretty enough for church but cool enough for running a couple of quick errands afterwards too. There were puppy cuddles on at our local shopping centre so we got to spend a while playing with and cuddling with the puppies, it was the best. The boys really enjoyed it!

With this orange dress I liked the caramel toned Chloe Ethel against it. The official colour is light khaki but it looks a lot deeper to me. I really like the shade anyway. Added a little extra colour with the yellow tassel necklace. I loved this outfit.

Last worn: orange linen dress, yellow tassel necklace, leopard print sandals, Chloe Ethel bag.

Other ways to wearorange linen dress and tote bag, leopard print sandals, Chloe Ethel bag and skirt.

What I wore:

Earrings: neutral clay disc earrings
Necklace
: thrifted mint silicone statement necklace
DressKmart short sleeve tiered frill mini dress in Papaya
Shoes: thrifted Seed Heritage tan braided sandals
Bracelets: the usual
BagChloe small Ethel bag in light khaki

Why I wore it:

Not as fun a day as the one above, as I had to work from home between school drop off and pick up. Still a hot and humid spring day in Brisbane though, so again I chose a linen dress to wear. I like the brightness of this dress. While it's a very different shade from the orange dress above, again I wore the Chloe Ethel bag with it, and another pair of sandals. I thrifted these braided sandals a while back during cooler weather, and now it's warmed up they've been worn a lot so far this spring.

Last worn: clay earrings, yellow linen dress, beaded necklace, braided sandals, Chloe Ethel bag (avove).

Other ways to wearyellow linen dress and blue bag, braided sandals and jeans, Chloe Ethel bag and shorts.

Green and Blue Jeans and Tee Outfits

I really like wearing green and blue together. Both these jeans and tee outfits feature blue and green together in different shades, and I like the colour combinations in each outfit.

What I wore:

JacketCotton On Alana Wanderlust kimono in floral mood indigo
Necklace: Kmart gold and navy beaded necklace
Tee: thrifted Cotton On The one crew tee in green
Jeans: Jeanswest black skinny jeans with zipper detail
Shoes: thrifted Anko Kmart black strappy sandals
Bracelets: the usual plus jade beads and Roie Designs bracelets
BagRebecca Minkoff emerald green mini 5-zip rocker bag

Why I wore it:

Jeans and a tee has become a staple for me while working from home this spring! I liked the printed cover up on top of the green tee, it adds a little interest when on a video call. With the blue printed cover up against the green tee I added the navy and gold necklace for an extra contrast. Doesn't match the blue in the print at all but I liked the different shades of blue in this outfit.

Added more green as well with the green Rebecca Minkoff mini 5-zip bag. Like the necklace and cover up, the shade doesn't match the tee, but again I liked both shades in this outfit.

Kept the rest simple with my black jeans and black strappy sandals, for doing the school run in the morning and evening.

Last worn: Cotton On cover up, green tee, navy beaded necklace, zip detail jeans, strappy sandals, Rebecca Minkoff mini 5 zip bag.

Other ways to wearCotton On cover up and skirt, green tee and shorts, zip detail jeans and graphic tee, strappy sandals and maxi skirt, Rebecca Minkoff mini 5 zip bag and shorts.

What I wore:

Jacket: thrifted Cotton On navy zig zag cover up
Necklace: thrifted flat navy statement bead necklace
Tee: grey marle pocket tee
Jeans: Jeanswest Vicki skinny pant in moss green
Shoes: thrifted Anko Kmart black strappy sandals
Bracelets: the usual
BagBalenciaga First bag in 2006 Blue India with handmade textured strap

Why I wore it:

Another school run and working from home outfit, with sports in the evening after school. The navy beaded necklace is more of a match with the navy chevron print cover up. I tried to match the turquoise in the print with the Balenciaga first bag, although I'm not sure the print shows that turquoise so well in the photos. It still made my matchy-matchy self happy though!

These olive green jeans were due another wear, they are a pair I've exceeded 30 wears with and I have worn them a lot with grey tees, although it's the first time I've worn them with this tee. Wore the same black strappy sandals as I did in the outfit above, they are very comfortable.

Last worn: navy print cover up, navy beaded necklace, grey tee, olive jeans, black strappy sandals (above), Balenciaga First bag.

Orange Maxi Skirts, White Tees and Mimco Black Crossbody Bag

Another easy outfit formula repeated twice. Two orange maxi skirt outfits with white tees and my little black Mimco Mim-Mazing crossbody bag.

What I wore:

Necklace: thrifted burgundy and cream beaded statement necklace
TeeAtmos & Here white essential v-neck tee
Skirtthrifted Tree of Life ochre maxi skirt
Shoes: Kmart tan crossover slides
Bracelets: the usual
BagMIMCO Mim-Mazing crossbody bag in black and light gold

Why I wore it:

Felt like it had been a while since I'd last worn this orange maxi skirt, so got it out again to wear to church. I liked the simple white tee with it, but felt it needed a little more and this statement beaded necklace was perfect. The burgundy and natural wood beads work so well with the ochre maxi skirt and look good against the plain white tee. I added simple sandals as it was a hot day, and my little black Mimco crossbody bag.

Last worn: white v-neck tee, statement beaded necklace, ochre maxi skirt, sandals, Mimco Mim-Mazing crossbody bag.

Other ways to wearwhite v-neck tee and denim skirt, ochre maxi skirt and knit, sandals and dress, Mimco Mim-Mazing crossbody bag and jeans.

What I wore:

Necklace: thrifted multi strand multi colour disc bead necklace with tassels
TeeCotton On The One Deep V tee in marle nep white body black
Skirt: thrifted NWT Beginning Boutique Sahara red-orange maxi skirt
ShoesLes Tropeziennes Par M.Belarbi leopard print and gold leather sandals
Bracelets: the usual
BagMIMCO Mim-Mazing crossbody bag in black and light gold

Why I wore it:

Since I liked the outfit above so much, I recreated it again following the same outfit formula, with this bright coral maxi skirt. It's a beautiful bright redish-orange in person and I love how colourful it is. It was NWT at the opshop for just $7 too, such a bargain! I wore my textured white tee with it to add a little more detail, but still added a statement necklace on top. This multi strand tassel one is nice and colourful.

Wore another pair of sandals as well. These ones, like the skirt and necklace, were an opshop find too. Good outfit for a day of working from home, doing the school run, and running a couple of errands. I didn't need to carry more than the essentials, so I wore my Mimco Mim-Mazing crossbody bag again.

Last worn: white tee, statement necklace, colourful maxi skirt, leopard print sandals, Mimco Mim-Mazing crossbody bag (above).

Other ways to wearwhite tee and shorts, colourful maxi skirt and leather jacket, leopard print sandals and dress, Mimco Mim-Mazing crossbody bag and blazer.

Blue Tees, Black Jeans and Printed Cover Ups

Two jeans and tee outfits with Converse, and Cotton On cover ups for working from home and school run days.

What I wore:

JacketCotton On Leah kimono in Juddy floral cerise
Necklace: mixed metal hammered pendant necklace
Tee: Jeanswest Shelley garment dye tee in faded denim blue
Jeans: thrifted Jeanswest faded black cropped butt lifter jeans
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bagthrifted Stella McCartney Falabella fold-over tote in midnight black

Why I wore it:

It was a bit of a warm day but I reached for this long sleeved cover up as I spent most of the day inside working from home. I did regret my choice of cover up at school pick up, the appointment the boys had after school was cancelled so we ended up playing in the park after school instead and I was quite warm. I did appreciate it at sports in the evening though. Despite being liberal with the bug repellent I like to have a physical barrier against the mozzies too!

I liked this blue tee with the printed waterfall jacket, as the lighter blue of the tee almost matches the lighter blue in the print of the jacket. I really like a bit of matchy-matchy!

Last worn: floral waterfall jacket, blue tee, metal necklace, black jeans, black Converse, Stella McCartney Falabella bag.

Other ways to wearfloral waterfall jacket and shorts, blue tee and maxi skirt, black jeans and leather jacket, black Converse and dress, Stella McCartney Falabella bag and skirt.

Perfect for pregnancyConverse in second trimester.

What I wore:

Jacket: thrifted Cotton On navy zig zag cover up
Necklace: thrifted blue tone flat bead statement necklace
TeeAtmos & Here Avery marle tee in navy
Jeans: Jeanswest black skinny jeans with zipper detail
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star coast blue
Bracelets: the usual
BagChloe small Paraty bag in wine purple

Why I wore it:

This is a bit of a monochromatic outfit! the faded black skinny jeans with the navy tee looks very similar in shade to the navy background of the printed cover up. I liked the combination though, it created a more muted outfit. Perfect for the school run and another working from home day, with an appointment for my son after school. That was not postponed this time!

While the chevron print on the cover up is a lot brighter than the picture seems to show, I think from a distance the finer print makes it seem less colourful. I added the purple Chloe Paraty bag for a little extra colour as well, and I liked the darker bag with this outfit.
