What I wore:
Earrings: Piper gold and turquoise disc dangle earring
Necklace: rose gold and turquoise beaded necklace
Top: thrifted no label chambray tie strap cami
Skirt: thrifted Tree of Life ochre maxi skirt
Shoes: slim navy and pink Havaianas
Bracelets: the usual
Bag: Chloe Marcie medium shoulder bag in nut
Why I wore it:
I loved this outfit! We had a birthday party at an indoor play area to attend, and it was such a hot and humid day I was glad we were just going from one aircon at home to the aircon at the party! Still wore some nice light pieces, with this thrifted ochre maxi skirt complimenting the blue of this chambray cami perfectly. It was good to finally get a photo without covering up the straps on this cami too, I really like the cute tie detail, even if one of the bows I tied kept coming undone every time I shoved the Marcie bag on my shoulder!Needed the big Chloe Marcie bag for the kids water bottles though, there were so active for the whole party and needed a lot of water, especially as the aircon wasn't working properly at the venue. Or maybe the day was just too hot for it. I was glad I hadn't added an extra layer over my shoulders with this outfit!
I really liked the matchy-matchy of the accessories with the turquoise and gold statement earrings and the beaded necklace together, I'm going to have to repeat this combination of accessories again!

Why I wore it:
Another hot and humid day, so again a simple cami and a maxi skirt. This maxi skirt has some lovely slits up the side that allowed for the breeze to cool me down a bit on the school run, which was much appreciated. The pinks in the cami top and the floral print of the maxi skirt are quite different. I thought that they still worked together though, especially with the blue beaded necklace matching the different blues in the print nicely.
Again I had my big Chloe Marcie shoulder bag. It was a standard weekday with the school drop off, and working from home for me before school pickup in the afternoon, but we also had an appointment for my son in the afternoon so I needed a big bag to carry his water bottle around for that too.

Love both of these maxi skirt looks! I really adore the contrasting colors of the first look. So eye-catching!

These outfits are wonderful, Mica! I love the colour combination in the first one - that's a winner! Isn't it nice when you discover a jewelry "set"? Now you never have to think about it! I really like that the tops are tucked in and bloused here - it makes a really good proportion on you. That would drive me nuts, the strap coming undone. Could you knot it before you tie it?
ReplyDeleteOh the knot on the cami held, so the strap didn't come undone, just the little bow I made on top of the knot. It's definitely a top that needs a cover up on top or just a bag with less chunky handles, haha!
DeleteThese looks are beautiful, Mica! I really love the print of the second skirt!

Oh that pale blue chambray cami and the ochre maxi skirt is a match made in heaven. I'm loving the second outfit too, but the first one really stands out for me!
ReplyDeleteAlthough we had a balmy Springlike day today, I simply can't imagine it being aircon weather right now. Hot and humid weather isn't really my cup of tea, but I guess you are more used to that kind of weather than we do! xxx
I really like the orange and blue together! :) And yes, hot and humid describes most of our days in Brisbane, haha!
DeleteThese are the perfect summer outfits! I love a cami or a tank with a maxi skirt in the summer too.
ReplyDeleteI love how you basically mirrored the colors in these two outfits. Both are fabulous, Mica,

DeleteThat ochre maxi skirt is stunning and so perfect for the occasion! Both outfits are just gorgeous from head to toe. I hope you're having a great weekend so far <3

Both are super cute Mica. I wonder, could you just sew that bow on the strap of the cami so it doesn't come undone?? I just did something like that with the sleeves of a cardigan.

I probably could! the knots stay find, but the bows on top come undone with such chunky bag handles as this has, It's much better with smaller crossbodies with thinner straps I think!
DeleteI really love the blue and ochre together! But both outfits are great, Mica. And that bag was such a great score! You really do find the best deals!!!!
