What I wore:
Necklace: thrifted purple wooden bead statement necklace
Dress: All About Eve striped black tee dress
Shoes: slim navy and pink Havaianas
Bracelets: the usual
Bag: Mica Bag - Rebecca Minkoff mini MAB side zip tote in pale lilac hand painted by Sheila
Why I wore it:
I really like wearing this black striped shift dress with purple! Surprisingly, I haven't worn this lilac necklace with it before. It was a lovely colourful choice against the black and white stripes, and being a light wooden necklace it wasn't too heavy to wear in the heat either.Just needed a little bag as I only had the school run, a couple errands, and working from home. This hand painted floral tote is so fun to wear with stripes, and although the purple flowers don't match the shades of lilac in the necklace I thought the two accessories worked well together.
Last worn: striped shift dress, lilac necklace, Havaianas, Rebecca Minkoff hand painted tote.
Other ways to wear: striped shift dress in winter, Rebecca Minkoff hand painted tote and maxi skirt.

Detail Of My Rebecca Minkoff Hand Painted Bag:
What I wore:
Necklace: Starfish Project Hannah turquoise bead necklace
Dress: Cotton On 'Tina' white striped tee dress in Lissy black / Gardenia
Shoes: slim navy and pink Havaianas
Bracelets: the usual
Bag: Mica Bag - Rebecca Minkoff mini MAB side zip tote in pale lilac hand painted by Sheila
Why I wore it:
Just repeating the outfit above again, with a slightly different colour scheme, by adding a green necklace instead of a lilac one! Again the greens in the leaves on the bag and necklace don't match, but I did like the two together. I always prefer wearing this black and white striped dress with a colourful statement necklace like this too.Simple shift dresses like this are so comfortable for the school run and work from home days, they are instant fuss-free outfits, so just like the outfit above, I really enjoyed wearing this. perfect for the hot day.
Last worn: Cotton On striped shift dress, green beaded necklace, Havaianas (above), Rebecca Minkoff floral tote (above).

Super cute.. I remember seeing that bag somewhere and thinking it was pretty.
ReplyDeleteIt really is! Sheila is so creative, I love how she illustrated it! :)
DeleteOf course you'd be talking about the heat. The weather largely determines what we wear. This winter has been so cold and wet for us, and I've gotten a lot of wear out of some sweaters that I generally barely wear. That dress looks like it would be perfect for the heat.
ReplyDeleteI always go on about the weather in my posts too, although mostly it's about it being too cold or too wet :-)
ReplyDeleteBoth of your striped tee dresses look a treat worn with your floral "Sheila" bag! xxx
complete opposite weather conditions here, haha! And I do love stripes and florals together :)
DeleteStripe are so classic. Hope you are doing well.
