Spring Skirts And Denim jackets With Neon Pink Bag

Two denim jackets and skirts outfits for spring, with neutral tees and some very bright accessories. My neon pink mini MAC really adds a pop to an outfit!

What I wore:

Jacket: Bubblegum denim jacket
Necklace: thrifted chartreuse necklace
Tee: thrifted black scoop neck H&M tee
Skirt: Target animal print ruffle hem mini skirt
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bracelets: the usual plus Roie Designs black leather Swarovski beaded wrap bracelet
BagRebecca Minkoff neon pink mini MAC

Why I wore it:

Enjoying the warm weekend weather and running a couple of errands with the kids. We had a packed day with errands to run and a kid's birthday party in the afternoon. As it was a warmer day, I got this cute little skirt out that I picked up in the end of summer sales - was great to give it a wear again!

I kept it simple with the black tee and denim jacket, but then added a lot of fun colour with the chartreuse necklace and the neon pink mini MAC bag, as I didn't have to carry more than the essentials.

Last worn: denim jacket, black tee, statement necklace, wrap bracelet, animal print skirt, Converse, neon pink mini MAC.

Other ways to weardenim jacket worn 30 ways, black tee and shorts, animal print skirt and pink tee, Converse and dress, neon pink mini MAC worn 30 ways.

What I wore:

JacketCotton On girlfriend denim jacket in whitehaven
Earrings: neutral clay disc earrings (new purchase, charity fundraiser)
Necklace: terrazzo and wood rose gold bead necklace
Tee: thrifted Cotton on grey tunic tee
Skirt: thrifted Kmart rust button up linen blend skirt
Shoesthrifted Adidas Superstar sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff neon pink mini MAC

Why I wore it:

I thrifted this skirt last summer and feel I didn't get to give it a lot of wear before the weather cooled off. This is only it's forth wear and I'm not sure why, I love the button detail and the paperbag waist. I kept it simple (like all the other times I've worn this skirt) with a neutral tee - this grey tunic is a good basic. I added the white denim jacket as it was a little chilly on the school run that morning, although I didn't need it in the afternoon when we headed to the park after school. With the neutral white Adidas Superstar sneakers and the neutral necklace, the Rebecca Minkoff neon mini MAC bag was again a fun pop of pink. I wasn't sure about the rust and neon pink together but I'm glad I gave it a go as I really liked it.

As all I had to do was the school run, working from home, and then a couple errands and a park playdate in the afternoon, the little mini MAC was all I needed to carry.

Last worn: white denim jacket, grey tunic tee, statement necklace, linen skirt, Adidas Superstar, Rebecca Minkoff neon pink mini MAC (above). First time I've shared the earrings on the blog as they are a recent purchase.

Other ways to wearwhite denim jacket and dress, grey tunic tee and shorts, linen skirt and white tee, Adidas Superstar and jeans, Rebecca Minkoff neon pink mini MAC and monochrome outfit.

Blue Knits Over Tiered Sundresses With Converse and A Black Tote Bag

For a couple of cooler spring days recently I layered up some cosy knits over these strappy tiered sundresses and Converse outfits, with the big, practical Rebecca Minkoff unlined tote bag. Jumpers over dresses is another good way to get an extra wear from knits outside of winter, before it heats up too much.

What I wore:

Necklace: thrifted orange bead statement necklace
Jumper: thrifted Valleygirl blue knit jumper
Dress: thrifted peach and white floral print tiered sundress
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in white
BagRebecca Minkoff medium unlined tote in black with shellac studded dome hardware

Why I wore it:

This was a fun day! I'd taken a little extra time off work in the afternoon so I could wrap up working from home early and attend an open day at my son's school. It was good to watch them perform, and we got to check out their classrooms and some of their work that was decorating the walls. It was a great afternoon! It was a warm day, but not quite warm enough yet for me to go bare shouldered, so I added this thin knit over the spaghetti strap sundress. I like knotting this knit over dresses!

Comfortable Converse for walking around the school campus, and then because I couldn't quite decide on a necklace with this but I felt the neckline of this knit needed a little something, I picked this bright orange necklace. Not quite a match with the print on the dress, but I liked the two together.

Big Rebecca Minkoff tote bag to store a few extra snacks for the kids that afternoon!

Last worn: cobalt knit, orange necklace, pastel tiered sundress, white Converse, Rebecca Minkoff unlined tote bag.

Other ways to wearcobalt knit and printed jeans, pastel tiered sundress and denim jacket, white Converse and jeans, Rebecca Minkoff unlined tote bag and midi dress.

Perfect for pregnancyConverse in second trimester.

What I wore:

Jumper: Jeanswest Beth ombre stripe knit pullover jumper in navy
Necklace: thrifted flat navy statement bead necklace
Dress: Kmart Aztec print tiered little black dress
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
BagRebecca Minkoff medium unlined tote in black with shellac studded dome hardware

Why I wore it:

I realised I hadn't worn this ombre knit from my sister's wardrobe recently, so again I copied an outfit formula I liked above, with this ombre knit over the black printed tiered sundress. Just like in the first outfit I added a thrifted statement necklace. I liked this one against the navy in the knit. This knit isn't quite as thin or stretchy as the one above, so I just folded the hem under to get it to sit at a good spot with the tiers of the dress. It did annoy me through the day though as I kept fussing with it sliding around - knotting or just leaving it worn long would have worked better!

I did like the blue and black combination though, and again I went with the Rebecca Minkoff unlined tote. I didn't need to carry much, just the school run and working from home, but the black was the obvious matchy-matchy choice with the black dress and black Converse.

Last worn: ombre knit, navy necklace, black tiered sundress, black Converse, Rebecca Minkoff unlined tote bag (above).

Other ways to wearombre knit and shorts, black tiered sundress and denim jacketConverse and maxi skirt, Rebecca Minkoff unlined tote bag with pink.

Red Denim With Blue Tees and Black Bags

Wearing more red denim again, with blue tops because I really like blue and red together! In both of these outfits I'm wearing two different toppers with the same print, just in different colourways.

What I wore:

Jacket: thrifted Cotton On maroon wanderlust floral border cover up
Necklace: thrifted pastel pink and wooden hexagon bead necklace
TankCle The Label Amelia tank in indigo
Shorts: thrifted red denim shorts
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bracelets: the usual plus Mimco gunmetal twisted bracelet stack
Bagthrifted Rebecca Minkoff vintage Cupid satchel in dark navy blue

Why I wore it:

It's not the first time I've worn this purple printed cover up with red - it's a really reddish print with the burgundy and purple and peach and white together so I really like it with red! Seemed like such an obvious pairing with the red denim shorts. Both of the pieces, just like the Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag and the pastel necklace, are thrifted finds.

This tank was a recent purchase this year - it's a great basic and a simple tank and denim shorts outfit was all I needed for a day with the school run, working from home, and then a quick errand after picking the kids up in the afternoon.

Last worn: floral border print cover up, blue tank, necklace, red denim shorts, bracelet stack, Converse, Rebecca Minkoff cupid bag.

Other ways to wearfloral border print cover up and denim skirt, blue tank and jeans, red denim shorts with black, Converse and maxi skirt, Rebecca Minkoff cupid bag and dress.

Perfect for pregnancyConverse in second trimester.

What I wore:

JacketCotton On Alana Wanderlust kimono in floral mood indigo
Necklace: thrifted flat navy statement bead necklace
Tee: Jeanswest Shelley garment dye tee in faded denim blue
Jeans: Jeanswest Harper skinny pant in Russet
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff medium unlined tote in black with shellac studded dome hardware

Why I wore it:

More blue! Mum got me this cotton on floral cover up one Christmas, before I stumbled across the burgundy one above in the opshop. I am sure to get lots of wear from both as they both feel so different! I paired this one with a lot more blue, with the lighter blue tee and the navy necklace that I thought echoed the different shades in the print nicely.

It was a cooler morning so I went with jeans, these burgundy ones I like wearing with different shades of blue as it always works well. Had my big Rebecca Minkoff black tote bag as we had a doctor's appointment before school, and I need things to entertain the kids!

Last worn: blue floral border cover up, navy flat necklace, blue tee, burgundy jeans, Converse (above), Rebecca Minkoff unlined tote bag.

Other ways to wearblue floral border cover up and yellow, blue tee and maxi skirt, burgundy jeans and stripes, Converse and dress, Rebecca Minkoff unlined tote bag with pink.

Perfect for pregnancyConverse in second trimester.

Sundresses and Denim Jackets With Damier Azur Neverfull | Weekday Wear Link Up

For today's Weekday Wear Link Up, sharing two times I wore the classic spring combination of a tiered sundress and denim jacket with sneakers, for working from home and school run days. I'm really enjoying Brisbane's spring weather at the moment!

What I wore:

Jacket: Bubblegum denim jacket
Necklace: thrifted pastel pink and wooden hexagon bead necklace
Dress: thrifted peach and white floral print tiered sundress
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in white
Bracelets: the usual
BagLouis Vuitton MM damier azur Neverfull

Why I wore it:

How gorgeous is this dress? It is a bit loose on me, but for $1 at the opshop I had to get it. The tag was cut out but I'm fairly sure it's one of the Kmart sundresses which I already have a couple of. I like the pastel palm print, the peach is so nice against the white background. I matched the white with the white Converse and the checks on the Louis Vuitton damier azur Neverfull tote.

Needed a big bag for a couple of errands as we had to take Cooper to the vets after the school run, the Neverfull was perfect.

I do think that the necklace (also an opshop find!) kind of got lost with the print of the dress, so I'll need to try a bolder coloured one next time I wear this dress.

Last worn: denim jacket, hexagon bead necklace, white Converse, Louis Vuitton Neverfull. First time I've worn the dress as it was a recent purchase.

Other ways to weardenim jacket worn 30 ways, white Converse and skirtLouis Vuitton MM Neverfull worn 30 ways.

Perfect for pregnancydenim jacket in second trimesterConverse in second trimesterLouis Vuitton MM Neverfull in third trimester.

What I wore:

Jacket: Jeanswest Kitty denim biker jacket
Necklace: thrifted Eb&Ive turquoise wooden bead multi strand statement necklace
Dress: Kmart strappy tiered sundress in watercolour blue and blush print
ShoesSketchers Bountiful navy fabric sneakers
BagLouis Vuitton MM damier azur Neverfull

Why I wore it:

Since I liked the outfit above so much, I wore the formula again the next week, with another tiered sundress from my collection. I scored this one in the Kmart clearance for just $2, and it's a firm favourite. Surprisingly, I haven't worn this denim moto jacket with it before, it's such an obvious combination. I liked the paler denim with the darker blue of the background of the dress, and I picked my turquoise beaded necklace to add some more lightness too.

I had a couple errands to run after the school drop off, then worked from home before picking the kids up in the afternoon. Didn't really need the extra space of the Louis Vuitton Neverfull, but I thought the colours went nicely with this outfit so didn't bother changing to another bag.

Last worn: denim moto jacket, turquoise beaded necklace, navy and blush printed sundress, Sketchers, Louis Vuitton Neverfull (above).

What I Thrifted In August & How I've Worn My Opshop Finds

Just like back in July, I feel I have been shopping a lot in August too! I have been making more trips to the opshop, as we declutter at home and reorganise, to donate things we no longer need, and of course browsing leads to buying!

What I Bought:

  • thrifted black scoop neck H&M tee
  • thrifted peach and white floral print tiered sundress
  • thrifted red denim shorts
  • thrifted pastel pink and wooden bead necklace
  • thrifted chartreuse necklace

Some of these things were impulse buys - the dress and tee I thought were good basics I couldn't pass up! I definitely have a couple black tees already, and a few printed sundresses, but I could easily rationalise adding another when clothing is $1 each! I'm always on the lookout for more of these wooden statement necklaces too, I feel they work well with outfits in my wardrobe and it's nice to have lots of choice when I am picking a necklace to add to my outfit. As it's spring now in Brisbane I'll be wearing more necklaces than scarves so these will get a lot of wear.

The red shorts were actually something I'd been wanting for a while, couldn't believe when I stumbled across them in the opshop. I have a few pairs of denim shorts, but I'd like to have more than the classic blue wash so have been on a look out for red shorts for a while. I've actually been able to wear them in August too, although it's technically winter, it really started feeling like spring early in Brisbane.

How I've Worn It:

How I'm Tracking With My Spending Goals:

This month I had more success wearing all the things I bought twice, as the weather has been so warm. I set myself a goal of wearing everything I buy at least twice in the month I buy it, to make sure things really work for me and my wardrobe. And I easily achieved this this month. I think the blush necklace is the standout, being worn 4 times this month.

I have been buying a lot, although as it's mostly preloved opshop finds, I'm still well under my budget this year. I've been revamping my wardrobe a bit and selling old pieces at the markets so I'm more open to buying things and less strict when considering purchases. And also, honestly, I like browsing the racks at the opshop and once I find something it's hard to say no! More browsing time always leads to more buying for me.

There is the drop off in the 30 wears posts I used to do each month as with refreshing my wardrobe and buying so many new pieces, I haven't hit 30 wears as often. I know that things leaving my wardrobe are being put to use - on the racks at the opshop generating money for a worthy charity, or being sold to a happy customer at a market. They aren't just filling up space in landfill, just no longer pieces I reach for that are going onto new homes. I'm not giving up on my 30 wears goals! Just revaluating my wardrobe a little and making some changes that mean I have less pieces I've achieved 30 wears with, for the moment.

Two Ways To Layer A Colourful Spaghetti Strap Maxi Dress For Winter

I bought this awesome, colourful geometric print maxi dress at the opshop for just $1. A spaghetti strap maxi dress isn't something I expect to get a lot of wear from in winter, but since spring is around the corner I know this will get worn more often. And before the weather heats up here in Brisbane, I was able to layer it up a little for the last month of winter, on some warmer days.

What I wore:

rebecca minkoff cupid satchel and geometric print maxi dress | awayfromblue

Earrings: thrifted red dinosaur skeleton earrings
Necklace: rose gold and turquoise beaded necklace
Jumper: thrifted Valleygirl blue knit jumper
Dress: thrifted colourful geometric print maxi dress
ShoesSketchers Bountiful navy fabric sneakers
Bagthrifted Rebecca Minkoff vintage Cupid satchel in dark navy blue

Why I wore it:

We had a fun day out at Australia Zoo with the family, so I needed some comfortable sneakers for all the driving and walking. I also needed to be able to wear my knee brace to support my knee so that ruled out jeans. Decided it was the perfect time to give this maxi dress a wear! Since it was a little chilly, especially in the morning, I added this soft knit over the top. It's a bit oversized so I had to knot it to get it to sit nicely, but I loved the cobalt against the mix of colours in the print of the dress.

As always, wore my Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag. It is perfect for the essentials plus some snacks and water bottles that you need for a day out at the zoo with the kids.

Last worncobalt knit, earringsbeaded necklace, Sketchers, Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag. First time I've worn the dress as it's a recent opshop find.

Other ways to wearcobalt knit and shorts, Sketchers and jeans, Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag with black and white.

What I wore:

Jacket: Jeanswest Kitty denim biker jacket
Necklace: thrifted wooden geometric bead necklace
Top: Kmart teal tank (new purchase)
Dress: thrifted colourful geometric print maxi dress
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bagthrifted Rebecca Minkoff vintage Cupid satchel in dark navy blue

Why I wore it:

The next opportunity I took to wear this dress was for a school run and working from home day, with a quick errand after picking up the kids in the afternoon. Again I layered over the top of this dress, with this teal tank this time, and the denim moto jacket for an extra layer of warmth as it was a chilly morning. It warmed up nicely though and when I went back to school to pick up the kids, the denim jacket was no longer needed.

With the mix of colours in the geometric print of this maxi dress, I felt the teal tank complimented all the different shades well. I thought that the blue and green in the chunky necklace tied in the colours nicely, especially when worn with the denim jacket. I really liked this outfit!

Last worn: denim jacket, chunky necklace, geometric print maxi dress (above), Converse, Rebecca Minkoff Cupid (above). First time I've worn the tank as it's a recent purchase.

Other ways to weardenim jacket and jeans, Converse and pencil skirt, Rebecca Minkoff Cupid and leopard print.

What I Bought In July & How I've Worn It

I feel I have been doing a lot of shopping this year! While I didn't buy anything in June, I added to my wardrobe in July, just like I did in March, April and May. And I added quite a lot this past months! With the preloved markets stalls I've had I've also cleared out a lot from my wardrobe, and I feel I've made some really wise buys to replace some of the things I've let go.

What I Bought in July:

  • thrifted Atmos&Here white straight leg jeans
  • thrifted no label floral print babydoll dress
  • thrifted colourful geometric print maxi dress
  • thrifted Kmart turquoise linen shorts (no wears yet, until it warms up!)
  • thrifted pastel Paisley print cape (no wears yet, until it warms up!)

Why I Bought It:

Actually bought a couple pieces new this month! The majority of my purchases have been preloved through the year, but I couldn't resist picking up a tour tee from my favourite band. The Cle the Label items were on super sale so I thought I'd give the brand a try, however I don't think I'll be buying more from them in future. As good as the organic cotton is as a material, I haven't found anything about the people in their supply chain and if they have fair wages, so they were a bit of an impulse buy I was maybe too hasty on. The two pieces I got are good basics, but I really need to be more thoughtful about where my money goes when I buy retail. Kmart is good for a bargain, but despite improvement isn't yet paying a living wage either.

With the decluttering at home, of everything from books to pieces from mine and the kids wardrobes, I've been visiting the opshop more frequently, so of course I couldn't resist a couple of browses through the clothes and picked out a few things for myself. While they are impulse buys, I'll never turn down a Rebecca Minkoff opshop find, and I did try to stick to thrifting pieces I knew would work with the goals I have for my wardrobe this year. I've been focusing more on shopping preloved as I know it's more environmentally friendly. More budget friendly too!

How I've Worn It:

As you can see, I've been buying a lot of basics! And that Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag has been a firm go-to since I practically danced out of the opshop with it. Such an amazing find. To prevent this post just being a huge wall of photos, i tried to only share times I'd worn the bag with other new pieces I bought this month.

I haven't worn some of the summer pieces I bought. While I could make the dresses work with a few layers, the cover up and shorts are going to have to wait until winter weather leaves us in Brisbane. Not too long until spring arrives though!

This is the biggest shopping month I've had this year, with 14 items purchased, which is a lot to purchase all at once. Not everything has met my goal of being worn twice in the month I bought it, as I did buy some summer pieces, and July only had so many days to wear so many new buys. I'm confident everything I bought will be a wardrobe staple though. Even with the opshop finds I was trying to be really discerning with what I added to my basket. At only $1 per item of clothing at my local opshop it can be hard to not buy everything I like!

My wardrobe has changed a lot this year, but I'm putting thought into it. With going back to work full time, and having regular days in the office each week so I'm working from home less, it's been a good year to have re-evaluated my wardrobe and to have made a few changes. Even if I have donated or sold on pieces I didn't hit 30 wears with, I'm trying to make sure everything I buy is something I'll want to wear 30 times or more.

Excited to come up with more outfits from these new additions to my wardrobe!

What I Bought In May & How I've Worn It: Preloved Purchases

After not buying anything for my wardrobe in January and February, I have been impulse buying a lot these past few months! Picked up some things in March and April, and now I've tripled what I spent over both those months with my latest buys in May!

What I Bought:

Why I Bought It:

Everything except the bag was purchased at Gladrags markets. It was a cold morning so I did a few laps around the market to keep warm, instead of sitting in my stall all the time. I ended up chatting to some of the other stall holders and making a few too good to pass up buys. Still made more than I spent, so a good day, and I got some incredible bargains too!

The handbag was an impulse buy as well - I've been looking at this style when it goes on sale quite often on the Rebecca Minkoff site, but even the sale prices didn't drop enough to make me buy. When I stumbled across this on eBay, ticking off a style I wanted to try, and a fabric I wanted to try (I don't have any suede bags in my wardrobe), I knew this was a keeper!

How I've Worn It:

Gladrags Markets was at the end of May, so I haven't had as many opportunities as I'd like to wear everything I bought. Even if it takes me a few days longer to hit my goals of wearing everything I buy twice in the month I bought it though, I've managed to wear everything at least once which is awesome.

The leather jacket was a very timely buy with our record breaking cold temps at the end of autumn - it's kept me very cosy! And I've managed to wear the bag 3 times too.

I can definitely see I've been increasing my spending since the start of the year. With that stall at Gladrags markets I'm being a bit more critical with my wardrobe, so that even if I haven't reached my 30 wear goal with some pieces, I'm creating a wardrobe full of things I love to wear and letting those that don't work for me go on to new homes. And it's so much fun seeing who your pieces go home with when you have a market stall!

Leopard Print and Denim Outfits For Autumn With Magenta Marc Jacobs Bag

Sharing two different outfits I wore, one with a skirt and the other with a dress. Both are following a leopard print and denim formula, just with different pieces. And the magenta Marc by Marc Jacobs convertible clutch bag was the perfect accessory with both.

What I wore:

navy tee and sneakers with moto denim jacket and leopard print skirt | awyafromblue

leopard print skirt, Marc by Marc Jacobs Dr Q Convertible clutch in electric violet | awayfromtheblue

Jacket: Jeanswest Kitty denim biker jacket
NecklaceTiffany & Co pink double heart tag pendant necklace layered with Tiffany & Co silver 5th Avenue notes heart pendant necklace
TeeAtmos & Here Avery marle tee in navy
Skirt: Target animal print ruffle hem mini skirt
ShoesSketchers Bountiful navy fabric sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
Bag: thrifted Marc by Marc Jacobs Dr Q Convertible clutch in electric violet

Why I wore it:

I really liked the darker bag and navy tee with this leopard print skirt! I knew when I bought it earlier this year it would layer nicely for cooler weather, and the denim moto jacket was the perfect topper as it wasn't a very cold autumn day. I liked the little matchy-matchy with the navy sneakers and the navy tee too! Needed the sneakers for a little bit of driving around. We had the school run, I had to work from home, and then a few errands to run after school pick up.

Because of the tassels on this skirt I didn't think a long necklace looked quite right, so I went with these two Tiffany ones instead, I really like wearing them together.

Last worn: moto denim jacket, Tiffany heart necklace, Tiffany notes heart necklace, navy tee, leopard print skirt, Sketchers, Marc by Marc Jacobs convertible clutch bag.

Other ways to wearmoto denim jacket and maxi skirtnavy tee and olive shorts, leopard print skirt and pink, Sketchers and denim skirt, Marc by Marc Jacobs convertible clutch bag and matching scarf.

Jacket: thrifted no label black and white leopard print cardigan
Dress: Jeanswest Rachel Lyocell chambray dress
ShoesAsos Cleo leather boots in tan
Bracelets: the usual
Bag: thrifted Marc by Marc Jacobs Dr Q Convertible clutch in electric violet

Why I wore it:

When I bought this leopard print cardigan in the opshop back in March it was much too hot to wear it - but I'm glad I've been able to give it a wear now we are starting to see some proper autumn weather in Brisbane. It was just the right layer to add over this sleeveless denim dress to keep me warm on the school run in the cooler morning.

As it was a little chillier than I expected it to be when I'd pre-planned this outfit, I added the tall leather boots to keep my legs warm as well. With them and the cardigan I was nice and cosy.

Easy outfit for the school run, working from home, and then running errands in the afternoon once I picked up the kids from school. We had a special gift to collect for my mum for Mother's Day that weekend.

Last worn: silver chandelier earrings, chambray dress, tall leather boots, Marc by Marc Jacobs convertible clutch (above). First time I've worn the leopard print cardigan as it was a recent opshop find.

Other ways to wearchambray dress and scarf, tall leather boots worn 30 ways, Marc by Marc Jacobs convertible clutch with pink and purple.

Perfect for pregnancy chambray button up dress in second trimester.

Tiered Dresses And Statement Necklaces With Chloe Purple Paraty | Weekday Wear Link Up

For today's Weekday Wear Link Up, I'm wearing my Kmart tiered dresses again with sneakers and my little purple Paraty bag back during warmer days when autumn still felt like summer.

What I wore:

Kmart short sleeve tiered jersey dress in Fuchsia with orange necklace and purple paraty bag | awayfromblue

fuchsia pink dress with Chloe small Paraty bag in wine purple | awayfromtheblue

Earrings: Kmart pink resin teardrop statement earrings
Necklace: thrifted flat peach statement bead necklace
Dress: Kmart short sleeve tiered jersey dress in Fuchsia
Shoesthrifted Adidas Superstar sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
BagChloe small Paraty bag in wine purple

Why I wore it:

We had a lot planned for this day! Taking advantage of the school holidays we were able to visit my family, and attend a birthday party for one of the kid's friends. I'd picked this dress to wear as I needed something comfortable for a lot of driving and because my knee brace fits so easily under this dress. Definitely thankful I had picked sneakers to wear, as we got caught in traffic on the motorway and almost missed lunch with my sister it took us so long to get to her place! Luckily we made it to the afternoon party on time after being a little late for lunch, but it was definitely a car heavy day!

I like pink and purple together so this purple Paraty was an easy choice with the fuchsia pink tiered dress. The pink resin earrings are a little hard to spot with my hair but I thought went well with the dress even though they are very different shades of pink. I added the statement orange necklace for another pop of colour. I liked how none of the accessories matched but they all looked good with the pink dress.

Last worn: pink resin earrings, peach necklace, fuchsia tiered midi dress, Adidas Superstar sneakers, Chloe purple Paraty bag.

Other ways to wearfuchsia tiered midi dress in winter, Adidas Superstar sneakers and jeans, Chloe purple Paraty bag and florals.

What Fits Inside a Chloe Small Paraty Bag:

What I wore:

Kmart short sleeve tiered knit dress in indigo ink with pockets, converse, and purple chloe paraty bag | awayfromblue

Chloe small Paraty bag in wine purple with navy dress | awayfromtheblue

Necklace: thrifted multi strand multi colour disc bead necklace with tassels
Dress: Kmart short sleeve tiered knit dress in indigo ink with pockets
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star coast blue
Bracelets: the usual
BagChloe small Paraty bag in wine purple

Why I wore it:

This was a really warm autumn day! I'd normally throw a blazer over a casual dress like this to go to the office, but it was just too humid that morning to consider it. I thought the fun colourful tassel statement necklace helped dress this up a little in the absence of the blazer. It was a quiet day in the office also, with none of the big bosses in so I felt comfortable in a simple dress and Converse.

Purple and blue is another combination I love, so this purple Paraty was an equally good choice with this navy dress as it was with the bright pink one above.

Last worn: tassel necklace and pink, navy tiered dress, blue Converse, Chloe purple Paraty bag (above).

Other ways to wearnavy tiered dress and duster, blue Converse and shorts, Chloe purple Paraty bag and denim.
