What I wore:
Necklace: House of Harlow sunburst necklace in silver and grey
Knit: Jeanswest Beth ombre stripe knit pullover jumper in navy from my sister's wardrobe
Jeans: thrifted ASOS petite green skinny jeans
Shoes: thrifted Adidas Superstar sneakers
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff Micro Bedford zip satchel in twilight
Why I wore it:
It was a particularly cold - and as you can probably tell from the pic - slightly windy morning! We had a couple errands to run but started the day off at our favourite trail first. The trees protected us from the breeze nicely and I ended up rolling up the sleeves on my jumper - maybe a bit too hot for both jeans and a knit on a bushwalk. Definitely appreciated the long sleeves and long pants later in the day when it cooled off though!Since I had the blue knit and green jeans I decided to stick with this neutral navy bag. The Rebecca Minkoff micro Bedford looks good against the green and compliments the blues in the knit nicely. The silver hardware was a bit of matchy-matchy with the silver sunburst necklace too.
Last worn: sunburst necklace, green jeans, Adidas Superstar, Rebecca Minkoff micro Bedford bag. First time I've worn the jumper as I just got it recently from my sister's wardrobe clear out.
Other ways to wear: green jeans worn 30 ways, Adidas Superstar and shorts, Rebecca Minkoff micro Bedford bag and floral dress.

What's In My Rebecca Minkoff Micro Bedford:
What I wore:
Knit: thrifted Valleygirl blue knit jumper
Shorts: Jeanswest Tessa olive embroidered shorts
Shoes: New Balance Coast women's running shoe in black
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff Micro Bedford zip satchel in twilight
Why I wore it:
This was an interesting day! I'd swapped my days around at the office for that week to support a milestone for my project at work so I was working from home, and thankfully my sister was free to watch the little one. It was hectic, but I was able to get a couple breaks in the day by dropping my eldest off at school in the morning and then heading out later with my sister to get takeaway for lunch. Even if she did get to sit and enjoy it with my youngest while I ate mine through a meeting at my desk in the home office 😅 Thankfully my sister did the school pick up for me in the afternoon, and I logged off just in time to make dinner before sports in the evening. While I really appreciated the scarf in the cooler morning dropping off my son at school, it and the knit together were much too hot by lunchtime, and I spent the afternoon without the scarf for a bit. Definitely needed it back on for sports at night though!
I thought I'd try multiple shades of green in this outfit with the olive shorts and different colours of green in the print of the scarf. Surprisingly really liked this outfit, much more than I thought I would! I think the blue bits in the scarf complimented the cobalt knit and navy Rebecca Minkoff micro Bedford bag nicely.
Last worn: cobalt knit, green pattern scarf, olive shorts, New Balance sneakers, Rebecca Minkoff micro Bedford (above).
Other ways to wear: cobalt knit with orange, green pattern scarf with monochrome grey outfit, olive shorts and kimono, Rebecca Minkoff micro Bedford and chambray dress.
Perfect for pregnancy: cobalt knit and hidden baby bump.
How You Can Wear It:
Any shade of blue works with any shade of green! You can see that in the first outfit with the brighter green jeans paired with the different shades of blue in the ombre stripe knit. Or in the second outfit, with the cobalt knit and olive shorts and different green shades in the print of the scarf.

Deleteit was a cold start but it's warmed up again to more normal temps which is nice! :)
Love green and blue together but forget to pair them! Had a pair of kind of sea foam green shorts out to wear and didn't know what to put with them. Will remember to try blue next time!! Great scarf, too. They can really pull any pieces together. Glad for your helpful family.

That trail looks like a beautiful place for a walk - and aren't family members who are willing to help out with things just the greatest? Eleanor was home sick for a few days last week while I was working from home and I would have been sunk had my mom not offered to help me out.

Both outfits look terrific. I have a cobalt blue ombre marl sweater that I should wear with my green pants as in outfit #1. (Sadly I don't have those sneakers; I'm impressed you thrifted them!) As for outfit #2, I LOVE that scarf with the blue and olive.
ReplyDeleteI got so lucky to find them in an opshop! :)
DeleteYou always have the cutest bags. I love the combinations that you put together.
ReplyDeleteGreen and blue is one of my favorite combinations! You matched them so well. And especially I love this scarf that helped bring the whole look together.

I'm a big fan of wearing blue and green together, and I think your first outfit is absolutely delightful, even if it was a bit too warm for a bush walk. Loving the scarf in your second outfit in particular. Lucky you having your sister at hand for childminding emergencies! xxx

DeleteYes, that's true! It was a very very cold start to winter, much colder than expected, so the usual places that got snow, got snow (and some other places that hadn't seen snow in years got some). Not cold enough for snow here in Queensland though.
How wonderful that your sister is so close and can help out Mica!!
ReplyDeleteI just love blue and green together but don't combine it often enough.

I love all your blues and greens here, Mica! That first outfit is my favourite - the marled wool jumper is lovely. I do laugh at your "very cold" temps - we almost never see you in a coat! ;-P
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the link-party!
DeleteTrue - our cold temperatures are nothing compared to yours, we never get snow! Even the cold snap we had with the coldest winter days for June didn't bring us snow, wasn't cold enough!
Love those green pants! Such a fun pop of color.
