Office Outfits With Newly Opshopped Pieces

Making the most of my recently thrifted pieces I picked up at the opshop earlier this month, and wearing them into the office.

What I wore:

Tee: thrifted Cotton On The one crew tee in green
Skirt: Target textured silver pencil skirt
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bracelets: the usual plus thrifted cream resin bangle duo set and Polka Luka teal resin bangle
Bagthrifted Stella McCartney Falabella fold-over tote in midnight black

Why I wore it:

This green tee is so soft! Knew it was a must-buy when I stumbled across it in the opshop. I have a lot of Cotton On tees, although this is my first green one, and I really like them! I kept it simple for its first wear, wearing it with this grey textured pencil skirt mum got me for Christmas and my thrifted Stella McCartney Falabella bag. It's such a great skirt for an office day.

Couldn't decide what necklace to wear with this. The chains on the Falabella make enough of a statement, so I decided to go with a couple chunky bangles on my arm, and I added this teal resin bracelet to the cream resin bangle duo I thrifted. Even though the shade of green on the bangle is different from the green tee, I really liked these together. Wore my comfortable Converse for the commute and because I had a couple of errands to run after picking up the kids from school.

Last worn: textured pencil skirt, teal resin bangle, black Converse, Stella McCartney Falabella bag. First time I've worn the white resin bracelets and the green tee as they are recent purchases.

Other ways to weartextured pencil skirt with black, black Converse and shorts, Stella McCartney Falabella bag and maxi skirt.

Perfect for pregnancyConverse in second trimester.

What I wore:

Necklace: thrifted burgundy and cream beaded statement necklace (new purchase)
Tank: Jeanswest Florence print long line tank
Skirt: thrifted &Me blue linen button up midi skirt with pockets (new purchase)
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star coast blue
Bracelets: the usual plus wooden bead bracelet set
BagChloe small Paraty bag in wine purple

Why I wore it:

This is an outfit I had an idea would work and then I was in a rush to get to the office so threw all the pieces on without really thinking. Not sure it worked as well as I liked, but it did certainly keep me cool and comfortable for a very humid day at work with a delicious team lunch outdoors.

With this blue linen button up midi skirt I thought the brown printed tank would be a great pairing, both featuring button detail and the criss-cross print on the tank being similar to the linen pattern on the skirt. The burgundy and cream beaded necklace could have been swapped out for something smaller and I think I would have liked it more, it was just a very busy outfit with this all together. I liked the way the darker burgundy beads worked with the deep purple small Chloe Paraty bag though, that was a nice pairing.

Last worn: brown printed tank, blue Converse, Chloe purple Paraty bag. First time I've worn the necklace and linen midi skirt as they are recent opshop purchases.

Other ways to wearbrown printed tank and blazer, blue Converse and dress, Chloe purple Paraty bag and jeans

Perfect for pregnancyprinted tank in third trimester.

Black Denim Skirts and Tee Outfits With Purple Chloe Paraty Bag

Two very simple neutral denim skirts and tee outfits, both with black and white printed cover ups and the same purple Chloe Paraty bag and necklace.

What I wore:

JacketSeed Heritage black printed poncho
Necklace: Colette marble and gold pendant drop long necklace
Tee: grey marle pocket tee
SkirtNobody Denim Piper vacation skirt in black distressed denim
Shoes: Kmart tan crossover slides
Bracelets: the usual
BagChloe small Paraty bag in wine purple

Why I wore it:

I got this amazing printed cover up from mum for Christmas. Being black and white it will go with everything. Although this is the second time I've worn it, it's the second time I've paired it with neutrals! I even wore it with this tee last time I wore it too. It is a good layer to add a little more interest to the plain grey pocket tee and distressed denim skirt outfit. Even the the tan slides though it was a lot of dark neutrals, so I added the purple marble and gold necklace to brighten it up a little, and then my deep purple small Chloe Paraty bag. I really like the extra but not overwhelming colour this bag adds to a neutral outfit.

Ideal outfit for a playdate and a couple of errands on the weekend.

Last wornprinted capes, grey pocket tee, gold and marble necklace, Nobody Denim distressed skirt, tan slides, Chloe small Paraty bag.

Other ways to wearprinted cape ad shorts, grey pocket tee, Nobody Denim distressed skirt and sequins, tan slides and dress, Chloe small Paraty bag and pencil skirt.

What I wore:

JacketThe Kindness Collective 'Vienna Awaits' floral print kimono
Necklace: Colette marble and gold pendant drop long necklace
Tee: thrifted Mix Apparel black marle tee
Skirt: thrifted Target black stretch denim skirt
ShoesNew Balance Coast women's running shoe in black
Bracelets: the usual
BagChloe small Paraty bag in wine purple

Why I wore it:

A busy day and being temporarily without a car meant comfortable sneakers for some actual running around. As well as the school drop off, we had an appointment for my son that morning. And then it was racing back home to work from home for a few hours before heading back to school to pick up the kids.

It was another hot and humid Brisbane summer day so while a black tee and black denim skirt weren't the best colour choice, I thought the white cover up would help reflect some of the heat and keep me cool. And I liked the pattern mix of the space dye tee against the floral Paisley print on the cover up. Wasn't sure at first if it would be too busy, but I think sticking with black and white in both prints worked.

Again I went with the purple Chloe Paraty bag for a little bit of colour. And happened to pick the same necklace again! I really do like this bag and necklace worn together.

Last worn: floral print cover up, space dye tee, marble necklace (above), black denim skirt, New Balance sneakers, Chloe purple small Paraty bag (above).

Other ways to wearfloral print cover up over a dress, space dye tee and blazer, black denim skirt and leopard print, Chloe purple small Paraty bag and jeans.

Navy Dresses And Purple Bags

I like blue and purple together, no matter the shades! I accessorised both of these navy dresses I wore recently with little purple bags in different shades of purple.

What I wore:

Necklace: thrifted pastel pink and wooden hexagon bead necklace
Earrings: Mimco silver stud earrings (Christmas present)
Dress: Kmart short sleeve tiered knit dress in indigo ink with pockets
Shoes: Kmart tan crossover slides
Bracelets: the usual
BagPolene numero neuf mini in textured mauve

Why I wore it:

On another day of the summer heatwave I needed something simple to wear and this Kmart navy tiered dress was perfect for the heat. I kept the accessories simple with the blush wooden necklace, tan slides and my lilac Polene bag. I had the school drop off and a few hours of working from home before a couple of quick errands in the afternoon and then school pickup.

I like how simple dresses like this are for a hot day - instant outfits! And I thought the lilac and blush accessories worked well with the navy.

Last worn: navy Kmart tiered dress, blush necklace, tan slides, Polene Numero Neuf mini bag. First time I've worn the earrings as they were a Christmas gift.

Other ways to wearnavy Kmart tiered dress and duster, tan slides and shorts, Polene Numero Neuf mini bag and printed dress.

What I wore:

Earrings: handmade pink star clay earrings made by my sister
Necklace: Grandmothers vintage silver necklace
DressJaase Celine autumn leaves mini dress
Shoes:  Adidas Superstar sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
BagChloe small Paraty bag in wine purple

Why I wore it:

Another purple bag, and another navy dress. This Jaase autumn leaves print dress is one of my favourites and was perfect for a day at my parents. It was still warm despite being a very wet day, so this light viscose long sleeved dress was just right for the weather. I added the Adidas Superstar sneakers to have closed in shoes for the rain and as a practical choice for a quick errand before the drive down the cost to my parents.

With the red autumnal leaves colours in the print of the dress, I wasn't sure this purple Paraty bag would work, as much as I like navy and purple together. But I'm glad I gave it a wear with this dress, I think it worked nicely with the leaf print.

Last worn: pink star earrings, Jaase autumn leaves dress, Adidas Superstar sneakers, Chloe purple Paraty bag. First time I've worn the necklace.

Other ways to wearJaase autumn leaves dress and denim jacket, Adidas Superstar sneakers and denim, Chloe purple Paraty and jeans.

Tiered Dresses And Chloe Periwinkle Paraty

Simple summer outfits is the theme for my daily dressing and susequently my blog posts lately, with the heat and humidity we have been experiencing in Brisbane! Both these tiered dresses are perfect for hot days. And despite the very different colours of the dresses, they both work with the little periwinkle small Chloe Paraty bag so well.

What I wore:

Necklace: navy and silver circle pendant tassel necklace
Dress: Kmart short sleeve tiered frill mini dress in Papaya (Christmas present)
ShoesAdidas Superstar sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
BagChloe periwinkle small Paraty with handmade textured strap

Why I wore it:

Wearing a few new pieces here! I got a lot of amazing things for Christmas. This mango coloured tiered dress was from my mum, it is so nice and light in both colour and because it's a linen blend. Beautiful for a day with a bunch of errands to run.

The shoes were a practical choice for a bit of walking and driving around. I thrifted a pair of Adidas Superstar sneakers at the end of 2020. They were very comfortable and also pretty broken in, so I wasn't too surprised when they eventually fell apart as the stitching finally came undone. Thankfully my mum was happy to buy me a replacement pair. These are a lot whiter and brighter than my previous preloved pair, but still just as comfortable to wear. I know I'll get a lot of wear from both the dress and the shoes, lovely gifts! The old pair of Superstars I thrifted were in 94 posts on the blog so I got at least that many wears from them, probably nearly 100 when you consider I double up the outfits in my posts. Not bad for a $3 opshop find!

Paired these new pieces with some old favourites from my wardrobe. This suede navy tassel necklace goes with everything, and I really like the periwinkle Paraty bag and handmade strap against the yellow dress.

Last worn: navy tassel necklace, Adidas Superstar (previous pair), Chloe Paraty.

Other ways to wearAdidas Superstar and jeans, Chloe Paraty and shorts.

Chloe Small Paraty Bag Review & What's In My Bag:

What I wore:

Earrings: opal reindeer stud earrings
Necklace: thrifted gold large double circle necklace
Dress: Kmart short sleeve tiered knit dress in indigo ink with pockets
Shoesslim navy and pink Havaianas
Bracelets: the usual
BagChloe periwinkle small Paraty with handmade textured strap

Why I wore it:

Unlike the outfit above, this is all old favourites from my wardrobe, with no new pieces except the little opal stud earrings my sister gave me. We took advantage of both having some time off for the Christmas holidays to visit a few local opshops, where my sister found me some amazing pressies for Christmas and scored an incredible bargain NWT dress find for herself. Afterwards we had lunch by the bay, with the kids playing in the water play area at the Whale Park. It was a really good day!

This Kmart tiered dress is a cotton dress, so not as light as the one above, but it does also have pockets which is very helpful, and it was still good to wear on a hot day. Although a very different colour, the periwinkle blue of the Chloe Paraty bag works well with the navy of this dress just as well as the yellow above.

Last worn: gold circle necklace, navy tiered dress, Havaianas, Chloe small Paraty bag (above). first time I've worn the earrings as they are a recent gift.

Other ways to wearnavy tiered dress and duster, Chloe small Paraty bag and denim skirt.

Pink Tees, Blazers, Navy Pencil Skirts And Purple Paraty | Weekday Wear Link Up

For today's Weekday Wear Link Up, another couple of office outfits with my favourite colour trio of blue, pink and purple. I wore some pink tees with navy pencil skirts, dressed up a little with blazers for the office, and accessorised with my little purple Chloe Paraty bag.

What I wore:

Jacket: thrifted Valleygirl navy jersey blazer
Necklace: thrifted flat navy statement bead necklace
TeeCotton On deep v tee in washed desert rose
SkirtAsos blue textured lace pencil skirt
ShoesWalnut Melbourne 'Ava' black lizard ballet flats
Bracelets: the usual
BagChloe small Paraty bag in wine purple

Why I wore it:

Surprisingly, this blue lace skirt and the pink tee haven't been worn together before! Even though the pink tee is a favourite and I've worn the lace skirt over 30 times. The navy blazer on top dresses up a tee for the office nicely, and I liked how similar it was to the navy lace on my skirt. The navy necklace I added for a little more matchy-matchy too, and I thought the purple small Paraty bag was such a good colour with the navy and pink.

I just went for plain black ballet flats to wear, although this did have me wondering if I should have a navy pair, the black ones worked okay in this outfit.

Last worn: navy blazer, pink teenavy necklacelace pencil skirt, black ballet flats, Chloe Paraty bag.

Other ways to wearnavy blazer and printed dress, pink tee and shortsblue lace pencil skirt worn 30 ways, black ballet flats and jeans, Chloe Paraty bag and floral dress.

Perfect for pregnancy: lace pencil skirt in second trimesterblack ballet flats in third trimester.

What I wore:

Jacketthrifted Zara black blazer
Necklace: Kmart gold and navy beaded necklace
Tee: Kmart short sleeve cotton modal tee in tulip pink
SkirtWarehouse navy jacquard pencil skirt
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bracelets: the usual
BagChloe small Paraty bag in wine purple

Why I wore it:

Another navy textured pencil skirt outfit! I haven't quite hit 30 wears with this jacquard pencil skirt yet, but I'm getting there. Again I added a blazer, a black one this time to match the jacquard texture of the skirt. And black Converse as it was a quiet day in the office.

The pink tee is a new purchase last month - it's such a good basic, I liked it paired with the navy and black and the blazer dresses it up well for a day at my desk.

Even though the pink shade of this tee is a little deeper than the tee in the first outfit, I still loved the purple mini Paraty bag with this outfit. It goes with so much!

Last worn: black blazer, pink tee, navy and gold beaded necklace, jacquard skirt, Converse, Chloe purple Paraty bag (above).

Other ways to wearblack blazer and dresspink tee and jeans, jacquard pencil skirt with green, Converse and jeans, Chloe purple Paraty bag and denim skirt.

Skinny Jeans, Blouses and Chloe Paraty Bag For The Office | Weekday Wear Link Up

For today's Weekday Wear Link Up, I'm sharing another two outfits I wore to the office recently. Both are on the casual side of business casual. Taking advantage of the ability to wear jeans on a weekday, with my darker denim and some pretty blouses.

What I wore:

Jeanswest Chana long sleeve stud top in night sky navy and skinny jeans with chloe periwinkle paraty | awayfromblue

Chloe periwinkle small Paraty | awayfromtheblue

Necklace: Tiffany & Co silver 5th Avenue notes heart pendant necklace layered with Tiffany & Co pink double heart tag pendant necklace
Blouse: Jeanswest Chana long sleeve stud top in night sky navy
JeansNobody Denim Cult high rise skinny ankle jeans in charred grey
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star coast blue
Bracelets: the usual
BagChloe periwinkle small Paraty

Why I wore it:

A little trio of blues here with the periwinkle Chloe Paraty, blue Converse Chucks, and the navy blouse. This blouse is a firm favourite for office wear, even before the pandemic, and it was nice it was cool enough to get it out again. With the silver studs on the blouse I went with layered silver necklaces. I thought they fitted nicely with the neckline of the top, even though the hardware on the Chloe Paraty is gold. I don't mind mixed metals.

Last worn: navy blouse, Tiffany notes necklace, Tiffany heart necklace, Nobody Denim jeans, blue Converse, Chloe Periwinkle small Paraty bag.

Other ways to wearnavy blouse and pencil skirt, Nobody Denim jeans and blazer, blue Converse and denim dress, Chloe Periwinkle small Paraty bag and shorts.

What Fits Inside A Chloe Small Paraty Bag:

What I wore:

Jeanswest Frankie soft blouse in berry with converse, purple paraty bag and nobody denim skinny jeans | awayfromblue

Chloe small Paraty bag in wine purple | awayfromtheblue

Blouse: Jeanswest Frankie soft blouse in berry
JeansNobody Denim Siren skinny super high-rise jeans in power black denim (c/o)
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
BagChloe small Paraty bag in wine purple

Why I wore it:

Another office day and another dark denim, Converse and blouse outfit! I do like pairing this berry blouse with jeans, and I've worn it with these Nobody Denim siren skinny jeans before. For something a little different this time I tied up the neckline, although between the bow and my hair you can't really see the cute ruffle neck too well. It meant I didn't have to pick out a necklace, so a really quick way to get dressed in the morning!

I liked the different shades of blue in the first outfit with the navy blouse and lighter periwinkle Paraty, so I tried two similar but different shades again with this purple Paraty against the berry blouse. I really liked this, although I feel the purple bag makes the blouse seem more red than it is in person, when it's more of a pinky-red.

Again I wore Converse. With winter weather they aren't the most popular shoe choice for all the ladies in the office any more - starting to see more boots. I still love how comfortable they are for commuting in though, not ready to give them up just yet!

Tiered Dresses And Statement Necklaces With Chloe Purple Paraty | Weekday Wear Link Up

For today's Weekday Wear Link Up, I'm wearing my Kmart tiered dresses again with sneakers and my little purple Paraty bag back during warmer days when autumn still felt like summer.

What I wore:

Kmart short sleeve tiered jersey dress in Fuchsia with orange necklace and purple paraty bag | awayfromblue

fuchsia pink dress with Chloe small Paraty bag in wine purple | awayfromtheblue

Earrings: Kmart pink resin teardrop statement earrings
Necklace: thrifted flat peach statement bead necklace
Dress: Kmart short sleeve tiered jersey dress in Fuchsia
Shoesthrifted Adidas Superstar sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
BagChloe small Paraty bag in wine purple

Why I wore it:

We had a lot planned for this day! Taking advantage of the school holidays we were able to visit my family, and attend a birthday party for one of the kid's friends. I'd picked this dress to wear as I needed something comfortable for a lot of driving and because my knee brace fits so easily under this dress. Definitely thankful I had picked sneakers to wear, as we got caught in traffic on the motorway and almost missed lunch with my sister it took us so long to get to her place! Luckily we made it to the afternoon party on time after being a little late for lunch, but it was definitely a car heavy day!

I like pink and purple together so this purple Paraty was an easy choice with the fuchsia pink tiered dress. The pink resin earrings are a little hard to spot with my hair but I thought went well with the dress even though they are very different shades of pink. I added the statement orange necklace for another pop of colour. I liked how none of the accessories matched but they all looked good with the pink dress.

Last worn: pink resin earrings, peach necklace, fuchsia tiered midi dress, Adidas Superstar sneakers, Chloe purple Paraty bag.

Other ways to wearfuchsia tiered midi dress in winter, Adidas Superstar sneakers and jeans, Chloe purple Paraty bag and florals.

What Fits Inside a Chloe Small Paraty Bag:

What I wore:

Kmart short sleeve tiered knit dress in indigo ink with pockets, converse, and purple chloe paraty bag | awayfromblue

Chloe small Paraty bag in wine purple with navy dress | awayfromtheblue

Necklace: thrifted multi strand multi colour disc bead necklace with tassels
Dress: Kmart short sleeve tiered knit dress in indigo ink with pockets
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star coast blue
Bracelets: the usual
BagChloe small Paraty bag in wine purple

Why I wore it:

This was a really warm autumn day! I'd normally throw a blazer over a casual dress like this to go to the office, but it was just too humid that morning to consider it. I thought the fun colourful tassel statement necklace helped dress this up a little in the absence of the blazer. It was a quiet day in the office also, with none of the big bosses in so I felt comfortable in a simple dress and Converse.

Purple and blue is another combination I love, so this purple Paraty was an equally good choice with this navy dress as it was with the bright pink one above.

Last worn: tassel necklace and pink, navy tiered dress, blue Converse, Chloe purple Paraty bag (above).

Other ways to wearnavy tiered dress and duster, blue Converse and shorts, Chloe purple Paraty bag and denim.

Navy and Green Office Outfits | Weekday Wear Link Up

Two more office outfits I wore recently for today's Weekday Wear Link Up. Both are green and blue with skirts that add a little bit of interest, accessorised with my periwinkle blue Chloe small Paraty bag that goes with everything.

What I wore:

navy tee with daisy print green floral midi skirt converse chloe paraty outfit | awayfromblue

green floral midi skirt with Chloe periwinkle small Paraty in crook of arm | awayfromblue

Necklace: thrifted Equip gold and marble station necklace
Tee: Jeanswest Ruby frill sleeve Ric Rac detailed tee in deep iris
Skirt: thrifted Ghanda midi slink skirt in green mini blossom
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star coast blue
Bracelets: the usual
BagChloe periwinkle small Paraty

Why I wore it:

I got the idea from this outfit from a colleague in the office, who looked amazing in her peach midi slip skirt. I did feel a little self conscious in this though. While it's a modest midi length, the side slit is quite high and I kept fussing with the skirt all day wondering if it was too high-cut for the office.

Issue with the side slit aside, I really liked this outfit. The navy tee was perfect with this skirt, and I didn't wear a blazer as I wanted to show off the cute frill sleeves. Converse because they are the unofficial shoe of choice in the office nowadays!

While the periwinkle blue of the Chloe Paraty bag doesn't match the navy tee, I liked the extra shade of blue it added to this outfit with the tee and the blue Converse.

What I wore:

navy blazer with mint cami jacquard pencil skirt and converse chloe paraty office outfit | awayfromtheblue

jacquard pencil skirt and Chloe periwinkle small Paraty | awayfromtheblue

Jacket: thrifted Valleygirl navy jersey blazer
Necklace: Kmart black and gold double strand beaded necklace
Top: H&M mint v-neck cami
SkirtWarehouse navy jacquard pencil skirt
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bracelets: the usual
BagChloe periwinkle small Paraty

Why I wore it:

Another skirt and Converse outfit, and again with the green and blue. This jacquard pencil skirt is a slightly warmer one being a thicker fabric, which I needed for spending the day working in our coldest office. The blazer I just wore for these photos and to combat the freezing aircon in the office, as it was such a hot and humid day. This spaghetti strap cami and pencil skirt felt much too hot for the heat outside, even without the blazer, but I enjoyed being layered up with the blazer at my desk.

I really liked this mint cami with the navy blazer and skirt. I scored the blazer at the opshop last year knowing I'd be in the office a little more this year, it's turning out to be a really good buy!

As above, while the Chloe periwinkle Paraty doesn't match I think it compliments the darker shades of blue in this outfit nicely.

Last worn: navy blazer, beaded necklace, mint cami, jacquard pencil skirt, black Converse, Chloe periwinkle Paraty (above).

Other ways to wearnavy blazer and floral dress, mint cami and denim skirt, jacquard pencil skirt with pink, black Converse and jeans, Chloe periwinkle Paraty and shorts.

Perfect for pregnancyConverse in second trimester.
