Knotted Tees Over Tiered Sundresses With Chloe Paraty | Weekday Wear Link Up

Making spaghetti strap sundresses work for autumn by knotting some colourful tees over the top - easy outfits!

What I wore:

pink tee knotted over floral print tiered kmart sundress converse and chloe small paraty bag | awayfromblue

Chloe periwinkle small Paraty with blue and pink printed dress | awayfromtheblue

Earrings: Piper recycled metal turquoise tassel earring
Necklace: rose gold and turquoise beaded necklace
TeeCotton On deep v tee in washed desert rose
Dress: Kmart strappy tiered sundress in watercolour blue and blush print
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in white
BagChloe periwinkle small Paraty

Why I wore it:

Wore this for the school run, working from home, and a doctor's appointment in the afternoon. With the mask rules being lifted in Brisbane so we can walk on the school grounds without masks, I was happy to wear these pretty statement dangly earrings. Of course I realised when I got to the doctors that I forgot I'd have to wear a mask for the appointment as it's a healthcare setting, oops! A little tricky with such statement earrings but I was just super careful putting the mask on and off.

I absolutely adored this outfit - even though the shades of pink in the tee and in the floral print of the dress are very different. I think having the matchy-matchy of the turquoise tassel earrings and beaded necklace pulled it all together perfectly, and I'll have to try those two accessories again!

It's not the first time I've worn the Chloe Paraty with this dress - I like the two different shades of blue together, just like the two different shades of pink above. I've modified the strap so that it's really easy to take on and off the bag too. As you can see in the photos though I didn't realise I'd accidentally hooked the strap onto the ring of the zipper instead of the ring on the side of the bag - I quickly noticed walking around that the bag wasn't sitting right and fixed it before I went too far!

Last worn: pink v-neck tee, turquoise tassel earrings, turquoise necklace, blue tiered sundress, Converse, Chloe Paraty bag.

Other ways to wearpink v-neck tee and printed jeans, blue tiered sundress and denim jacket, Converse and midi skirt, Chloe Paraty bag and printed shorts.

Perfect for pregnancyConverse in second trimester.

What's In My Chloe Small Paraty Bag

What I wore:

lilac tee knotted over black tiered printed sundress sneakers chloe paraty bag | awayfromblue

black printed dress, Chloe periwinkle small Paraty | awayfromtheblue

NecklaceRoie Designs long freshwater pearl necklace with tassel
Tee: Spectrum basic v-neck tee in washed lilac
Dress: Kmart Aztec print tiered little black dress
ShoesNew Balance Coast women's running shoe in black
BagChloe periwinkle small Paraty

Why I wore it:

Since I liked the outfit above so much, I repeated it again a few days later with a different v-neck tee and a different Kmart tiered sundress. Sometimes it pays to buy things in multiple colours! I liked the extra touch of colour the lilac tee gave to this little black printed dress. Again I went with the Chloe Paraty bag - although it doesn't match anything in the outfit it goes with so much and I like blue and purple together.

Wore this for a fun playdate with the kids that didn't quite go to plan - I usually try get there early to get a nice spot in the park to setup our picnic blanket, but we were super late for this one and my friends had been quite worried until we eventually turned up! Had to cut it short because of the rain too, as a little shower set in about an hour after we arrived. All the more reason to organise another playdate in future - that we hopefully won't be as late too!

Last worn: lilac tee, pearl tassel necklace, black tiered sundress, New Balance sneakers, Chloe Paraty bag (above).

Other ways to wearlilac tee and culottes, black tiered sundress in winter, Chloe Paraty bag and midi dress.

Perfect for pregnancylilac tee in second trimester.

How You Can Wear It:

When the weather cools in autumn or spring, you can make your summer sundresses go a little further by knotting a tee over the top. It can be a great way to add more colour to a neutral dress too, like I've done in the second outfit.

  2. The ear ring and the masks are really a problem. I try to wear more interesting ear rings at least once a week so I get some wear out of my collection, but with mask mandates still strong here it can be tricky.

  17. Hi,
Here, in Portugal, the use of the mask is still mandatory! Lucky for you, it means you have few cases of covid! I found this way of wearing tees over dresses but worn with a knot original! It had never crossed my mind to wear a tee like that! And the bag is beautiful!

  18. I love the first outfit here, Mica - the turquoise "set" of accessories does all of the heavy lifting in making this outfit even more cohesive. Love it!

I the second outfit, I think your necklace is too long. Can you loop it around your neck again, to pull the tassel up? I think that would help, as it is just too long and pulls everything down with it.

Thank you so much for the link-party!

  25. Hi Mica, I hope everything is going well on your side!

This is a brilliant idea to give a twist to a dress and I like the contrast with the oversized shirt. Another interesting feature is the way you mixed prints with solid colors in both options. But I think my favorite is the first one :D!

    Have a great week ahead!

  35. What a fun way to get more wear out of dresses! I really love how the t-shirts add an extra layer but also shape. I need to try this trick more often. The masks mandate have been lifted in our neck of the woods but I am still having my son and I wear it until the end of the school year. I am sorry to hear about your play date not working out as planned. It is hard some days but glad you were able to do it anyway even if it was a short visit. I hope your week is going well so far and happy Tuesday!

And in the summer i like to wear the tshirts under the dresses to give some extra shoulder coverage to stop me burning! The extra pop of colour is lovely on a bright summers day
