What I wore:
Necklace: personalised gold children's names charm necklace
Dress: Jeanswest Rachel Lyocell chambray dress
Shoes: Converse Chuck Taylor All Star low in white
Bracelets: the usual
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff medium unlined tote in black with shellac studded dome hardware
Why I wore it:
This was an interesting day! It was the school holidays but I had to work, so my mum and sister had a fun day out planned for the boys. I ended up driving down to the coast and working from home at my parent's place while they had some adventures elsewhere. It was nice to work from a different environment for a day as well. So many of my colleagues have come down with Covid that we have not been able to successfully organise a day for us all to catch up in the office, even though the office is open. About half my team are in another state so even going into the office we still won't all be face to face.Felt that this chambray dress was overdue another wear and with a little bit of driving the Converse were a practical choice. I layered this dress up with a duster kimono last time I wore it too, and I loved this tropical floral print one with it this time. Even if I took it off when it was warmer in the middle of the day.
The big tote bag was of course an essential for taking everything I needed for work over to my parent's house for the day, including my laptop.
Last worn: floral duster, gold charm necklace, chambray dress, white Converse, Rebecca Minkoff unlined tote bag.
Other ways to wear: floral duster and skirt, chambray dress and cardigan, white Converse and midi skirt, Rebecca Minkoff unlined tote bag and maxi skirt.
Perfect for pregnancy: chambray dress in second trimester, Converse Chucks and maternity shorts.
My Complete Rebecca Minkoff Handbag Collection:
What I wore:
Necklace: Jeanswest Taryn turquoise tassel bead necklace
Dress: Kmart short sleeve tiered knit dress in indigo ink with pockets
Shoes: Converse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bracelets: the usual
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff medium unlined tote in black with shellac studded dome hardware
Why I wore it:
I like blue and green together so I was eager to try this green floral duster with the navy tiered dress. I wasn't sure when I put it on if the proportions worked and considered trying a shorter kimono instead, but when I added the long tassel necklace to this I found I loved the long relaxed lines of it! Felt super comfortable in this all day. While the kids spent some time with their grandparents I was working from home again, and had an appointment that morning and a quick errand after work. I wore the Rebecca Minkoff unlined tote bag again as it is a great size for including a paperback book to read while in a waiting room!
Last worn: green floral duster, turquoise tassel necklace, navy tiered dress, black Converse, Rebecca Minkoff unlined tote bag (above).
Other ways to wear: green floral duster and Bermuda shorts, navy tiered dress and orange bag, black Converse and jeans, Rebecca Minkoff unlined tote bag and striped dress.
Perfect for pregnancy: Converse in second trimester.
How You Can Wear It:
Floral dusters are great outfit layers in autumn before it gets too cold, and look so good over dresses.

DeleteTwo great options with kimonos over dresses for busy days! I especially like the blue and green color combination. Both outfits seem great for almost any time of year. Hope you have a good week and thanks for the link up!
ReplyDeleteI love blue and green together too. Most of my girlfriends don't want to go to the office anymore, they rather work at home.
ReplyDeleteYes I've gotten so used to working from home! I do miss the office sometimes though, when cases go down a bit more it would be nice to go in more regularly
DeleteWell, you know I love your kimonos every time, Mica! That green one is so fabulous and it looks wonderful with the blue dress!

Yes there are so many people here who have caught it - we are hoping we can avoid it but might be inevitable that we catch it eventually!

Hooray, it's kimono season again! I love your collection of dusters, and both of these are lovely outfits. I've never worked from home - ever! - so just the thought of it is so strange to me. I'm glad you got a change of scene!
ReplyDeleteI feel really lucky I had the ability to work from home! I was doing it 1 day a week before the pandemic so it wasn't a bit adjustment to doing it full time thankfully :)
DeleteI love your chambray dress and kimono together, and that navy tote is just gorgeous! Both looks are lovely indeed.
ReplyDeleteI hope you are having a great week so far!

DeleteKimonos are so comfy!
ReplyDeleteLove the combos.
Happy Tuesday, Mica!
Los dos outfits son muy bonitos, saludos:D
ReplyDeleteI too love blue and green together, so I'm definitely loving your second outfit. However, I am having a bit of a chambray moment right now - looking for the perfect dress and midi skirt! - so my favourite this time is the first one! It must have been lovely to have a change of scenery for working at home. Like Sheila, I've never worked from home, apart from checking a couple of email, so it is a strange concept to me :-) xxx
ReplyDeleteI have this awesome chambray dress and a skirt but I've never found the perfect shirt - I think there are a few people on the hunt for the perfect chambray piece! :) I'm so lucky to have been able to work from home even before the pandemic!
DeleteLove both kimonos, very chic! Hope your colleagues will get better soon!
