Blue and Pink Floral Dresses With Purple Chloe Paraty Bag | Weekday Wear Link Up

Wearing one of my favourite colour trios of blue, pink and purple together for today's Weekday Wear Link Up. Braving the current Brisbane heatwave in some pretty floral print dresses, nice and light for the hot and humid days, and accessorising with the purple Chloe Paraty bag I got for Christmas.

BagChloe small Paraty bag in wine purple

Why I wore it:

First day of school! After what seemed like a very short summer break, it was back to school for the kids. I was a bit emotional, as they were staring their new grades, but they were just so happy to be back with all their friends and catch up with those we hadn't had the chance to have playdates with over the holidays.

After school drop off, I had a quick errand to run before working from home, and then back to pick up the kids in the afternoon before taking them out for a little treat for completing the first day of school for the year.

I really like pink and purple together, so was eager to try this pretty purple Paraty bag with this black dress, with the pink and blue floral print. I really liked the combination, and I appreciated this light dress on such a hot and humid day. It felt like it was constantly going to storm all day, but the rain didn't break until later that evening.

Last worn: resin earrings, silver Tiffany necklace, Kmart wisteria print dress, studded sandals, Chloe small purple Paraty bag.

Other ways to wearKmart wisteria print dress and floral bag, studded sandals and maxi skirt, Chloe small purple Paraty bag with shorts.

Perfect for pregnancystudded sandals in second trimester.

BagChloe small Paraty bag in wine purple

Why I wore it:

This was another hot day - much too hot to wear anything more than a simple dress for the school run, and spend the day working from home and enjoying the aircon while doing so! We had planned to complete a couple of errands after I picked the kids up from school, but we decided to skip it and complete them the next day, so we could just relax in the cool air at home.

As this is a spaghetti strap sundress I usually try cover up my shoulders when I wear this dress, to add some physical sunblock. But with the heat and humidity - and us avoiding spending too much time outside, I was not going to tolerate any layering. Except the little bit of necklace layering I tried. Thank goodness for light tiered dresses like this in heatwaves, instant outfit!

Last worn: Kmart tiered sundress, coin necklace, stone pendant necklace, Havaianas, Chloe purple Paraty bag (above).

Other ways to wearKmart tiered sundress and denim jacket, Chloe purple Paraty bag and shorts and tee.

How You Can Wear It:

Blue, pink, and purple are a wonderful trio when worn together. If you're unsure about wearing three colours in one outfit, use an accessory to give you that third colour, as I have here with the purple Chloe Paraty bag.

  1. I am always a fan of floral dresses and both of these are so pretty. I really love the second one, and I'm usually the same way about covering up my shoulders (I burn so easily), but sometimes you just have to be cool, haha!

Hope you have a fantastic start to your week, my friend! :)

  7. Two gorgeous dresses, Mica, although with the temperatures being just above freezing point here, it's hard to imagine wearing a spaghetti strap dress :-)
