What I wore:
Necklace: terrazzo and wood rose gold bead necklace
Tee: Cotton On "The One" fitted v tee in Cole stripe white moonlight
Jeans: thrifted Jeanswest faded black cropped butt lifter jeans
Shoes: thrifted Adidas Superstar sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff Mini 5 zip in pink iris with gold hardware
Why I wore it:
This blush blazer is such a nice shade of pink, it added a nice touch of colour to the monochromatic black and white striped tee and faded black skinny jeans outfit. I still felt the outfit was lacking some colour though, so I tried adding a brighter pop with this deeper pink mini 5-zip bag, and I really loved it against the blush blazer! This was a nice comfortable jeans and tee outfit for what has become a regular day - the school run and working from home. I like how the blazer dressed up the jeans and tee a little.

What I wore:
Necklace: Happiness Boutique turquoise and coral pendant necklace (c/o)
Tee: Atmos&Here oversized stripe tee
Jeans: Jeanswest Cecile dove grey skinny jeans
Shoes: Converse Chuck Taylor All Star low in white
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff yellow mini 5 zip
Why I wore it:
While this is a very monochromatic base outfit, with the white and grey striped tee and the grey skinny jeans and white Converse, I felt this was a very colourful outfit just because of the bag and blazer. Orange and yellow together really packs a punch! Without the bright orange blazer this outfit felt a little plain, the blazer and bag lifted it perfectly I think.I love yellow and grey together so this bag was the best choice for that alone. I also really like orange and yellow, although I haven't worn it too many times, so this outfit was a nice way to try that combination again.
A bright and cheerful outfit, for again working from home and doing the school run. We also had an appointment for my son after school. Unfortunately my latest library book read doesn't fit in this little mini 5-zip bag, but although we got there a little early, we were actually called in as soon as we sat down to wait, so I hadn't even needed a book anyway!
Last worn: orange blazer, grey striped tee, stone pendant necklace, grey skinny jeans, Converse, Rebecca Minkoff yellow mini 5-Zip bag.
Other ways to wear: orange blazer and pencil skirt, grey striped tee and vest, grey skinny jeans worn 30 ways, Converse and dress, Rebecca Minkoff yellow mini 5-Zip bag and maxi skirt.
Perfect for pregnancy: grey striped tee in second trimester, Converse Chucks and maternity shorts.

How You Can Wear It:
Adding a blazer over a jeans and tee outfit is a nice way to add a little extra warmth to your outfit on a spring day. It helps your outfit feel a bit more polished and pulled together too, and can be a good way to add more colour.

Two fabulous blazers and beautiful bright bags! That orange blazer is especially fun!
ReplyDeleteHi! I am in love with the first outfit, pink looks amazing on you :)
ReplyDeleteI hate when people decide that pink is just for summer and spring, I really enjoy using it during autumn and winter, even though it is normal here in Spain to use darker colors during that time of the year
Kisses from https://sophisticatedmeblog.blogspot.com/
Yes I definitely think you can wear all colours year-round!
DeleteI've been gravitating towards stripped tees again lately, after taking a break. Love the punch of color in both outfits!
ReplyDeletebosbodaciousblog.blogspot.ca
They are such a staple, I will always go back to them!
DeleteJeans and a striped tee is a true classic, which can be dressed down, or up, like you did with the blazers. The orange blazer is fabulous and I love the pop of colour it provides together with the yellow bag. Both bags are absolutely adorable! xxx
ReplyDeleteI agree, it's a combination I really should start wearing more often!
DeleteSuch cute outfits. I love the striped tees.
ReplyDeleteI've been neglecting my blazers the past couple years because I haven't really been going anywhere I felt they were appropriate, haha. But maybe I should start wearing them to the grocery store!

Yes I finally had to just wear them any way! It's good to get them out again as I haven't been going into the office much.
DeleteGreat outfit formula! Love the orange with the grey base outfit, and of course pink always gets a thumbs up from me. I always enjoy seeing your Adidas with a striped T for double stripe action.
ReplyDeleteYour blazers and bright, colorful bags are a great way the add polish to basics. Love the happy orange and yellow combination! Enjoy your week and thanks for the link up party!
ReplyDeleteGreat outfits.. The yellow/orange combo is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteI just love when you wear this orange blazer!
ReplyDeleteI hate it when I don't have a book with me! I'm glad you didn't have to wait too long to get in, though. :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE both these outfits, Mica - this is how you play with colour! I adore the brighter pink bag with the blush blazer - they are a match made in heaven, for sure. The orange and yellow in the second outfit is just wonderful and so cheery. I bet people loved both of your looks!
Have an awesome week, my friend! Thank you for the link party, and I hope you're feeling better soon. XO She
Thanks so much Sheila :) I have been having fun trying small different things with colour lately - the bright handbag collection helps a lot!
DeleteThis is one of my favorite outfit formulas. It's just so effortless and foolproof. I really like the pop of color you've got going with the blazers and bags and both outfits.
