What I wore:
Necklace: Tiffany & Co pink double heart tag pendant necklace layered with Tiffany & Co silver 5th Avenue notes heart pendant necklace
Dress: French Connection blue Paisley print dress
Shoes: Converse Chuck Taylor All Star coast blue
Bracelets: the usual
Bag: Mica Bag - Rebecca Minkoff mini MAB side zip tote in pale lilac hand painted by Sheila
Why I wore it:
This is one of the first "office dresses" I bought myself to start my job in the company I'm still working for all these years later! I love it, although I'm a little sad it predates the blog as I haven't hit 30 recorded wears with it yet. Having owned it a few years before I started blogging though, I'm sure it's well over that number, just not all documented.
Added the navy blazer on top to try make it a little more formal as we had some higher-ups in the office, and I love the print mixing of the gingham cuffs with the paisley print of the dress. The little floral hand painted Rebecca Minkoff mini MAB tote bag was a bit more print mixing. I wasn't sure it worked well with the dress, but I wanted this little bag to give me something to smile at as I sat at my desk all day!
My office was on the casual side of business casual even before we switched to mostly working from home, so the Converse seemed like a good shoe choice - and I liked the matchy-matchy of the blues of the shoes, dress, and blazer together. Seeing all the other ladies in the office in Converse except one, I was happy I made the right shoe choice!
Last worn: navy blazer, Tiffany heart pendant necklace, Tiffany 5th Avenue heart necklace, French Connection Paisley print dress, Converse, Rebecca Minkoff floral hand painted MAB.
Other ways to wear: navy blazer and green dress, French Connection Paisley print dress and belted cardigan, Converse and jeans, Rebecca Minkoff floral hand painted MAB and maxi skirt.
Perfect for pregnancy: French Connection Paisley print dress in second trimester.

My Rebecca Minkoff Handbag Collection:
What I wore:
Necklace: thrifted Eb&Ive turquoise wooden bead multi strand statement necklace
Dress: Target navy and white striped shift dress with frill sleeves
Shoes: Converse Chuck Taylor All Star coast blue
Bracelets: the usual
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff MAB crossbody with studs in desert rose
Why I wore it:
This was a much more casual outfit! I did think about a blazer to make this more formal, but it would have covered up the cute frill sleeves on this dress. I added the statement necklace to dress it up a little, I really liked the pop of turquoise against the navy dress. Again I went with the comfortable Converse, although I changed up my bag and picked this desert rose Rebecca Minkoff studded MAB crossbody bag instead.I only need small handbags for work as I carry a separate (work issued) bag for my work laptop too.
Unlike the day in the office above, this was a quiet one with just myself and another member of the team, working together to progress and plan out some of the new work, so I think this casual dress was perfect.
Last worn: earrings, frill sleeve navy stripe dress, turquoise statement necklace, Converse (above), Rebecca Minkoff studded MAB crossbody bag.

Love both of these looks! That blazer is such a great layer to this first one and still obsessed with your floral bag. Thanks for the link up Mica!

It is such a unique bag, I absolutely adore it!
DeleteThe blazer was a great addition to that outfit and definitely added that office touch to the outfit. I love that you have those baby blue converse and they look spot on with the stripped dress! That's a combo that can work from work, to school pick-up, grocery store and then dinner out. What do you do for a living? My husband now works from home and we love it for our family.

Working from home is the best! I started doing it once a week when my eldest was born and I really like the flexibility and the time saved on commuting! I work in IT so we are almost always working from home now, but I have enjoyed getting back into the office occasionally. My home office is still my main working location though.
DeleteI really like that first outfit with the blazer! It looks like a really comfortable one and it dresses up the look without being too formal. Have a wonderful week!

These are such perfect casual business outfits, Mica:) Loving both the dresses, and I swear....you have the best bag collection!!!!
ReplyDeletePS You can never go wrong with Converse:D I honestly wish I can wear them even in formal occasions.
They are the best shoes, I keep thinking of getting more and having a whole rainbow....but that would probably be overkill, haha!
DeleteYou look great in blue, and I love all of the hues of blue together in both of your outfits! Your bag is amazing, it certainly would be a source of inspiration during the day to look at perched on your desk. Thanks for the link up and have a good week!
ReplyDeleteYes, it is such a pretty piece, so pretty in an outfit or next to me on my desk :)
DeleteOf course I'm a fan of these many-shades-of-blue outfits! I got a laugh that all the women in the office but one were wearing Converse - your choice was indeed spot on.
ReplyDeleteWe do have a very relaxed office dress code, which I love!
DeleteThere's no particular dress code in my office, which I'm grateful for. I'd hate not being able to wear what I like, and I'm sure it would affect my productivity if I had to dress formally and wear some kind of suit or - oh the horror - a uniform.
ReplyDeleteI'm amazed the first dress has been in your wardrobe for so long. I absolutely love it and the blazer you combined it with, and the Converse, which make it less formal. Oh, and I see you're wearing Sheila's bag again! Always a delight to see it! xxx
Oh yes, I am very happy I get to chose my own outfits and don't have a uniform. :)
DeletePairing a blazer with a dress is a great way to create an office look without it being too stuffy. And then opting for your Converse sneakers was a brilliant choice as well.

I'm very impressed how you record wears for each item - I'd be afraid to do that for some pieces! Love the bag.
ReplyDeleteThe benefit of using my blog as a daily outfit diary - I can always search and see how many times I've worn things!
DeleteI absolutely love the very first dress, Mica, the print is so pretty! I hope you're having a wonderful start to your week! :)

Cute dresses. It must be nice to be able to work from home as often as you do. If I were to go into another line of work, I would love something I could work from home at, at least some of the time.
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm so lucky it's something that has always been available to me in my industry (IT) for years!
DeleteNice video love the different size and color handbags also your outfits rock.
ReplyDeleteLaugh all you want, but I am wearing my converse sneakers right now. They look so hip and modern,

They are a cute and practical shoe choice!
DeleteI love that "office dress" because it is professional but still has personality. So many work pieces that I see out there are dull and drab. I love that this dress is put together and pretty...but still shows who you are. Such a gorgeous outfit! Love the second look as well. I can't get over how fantastic those Converse shoes are. I love the colour!
ReplyDeletethe creation of beauty is art.
Thank you so much for the link-party, Mica! I love the painted bag's pattern mixed with your lovely patterned dress - I'm amazed at how long you've had that dress too!
ReplyDeleteI've been looking for a stripey dress like that - it's such a good one-and-done style! Looking fabulous!
Yes, a stripey dress is such a classic, and that bag goes with everything! I am so happy you made it for me :)
DeleteSuch cute outfits, Mica! I love the shoes...they just make the outfits so much fun! And, the hand painted bag is perfection!

Both of these are great looks but I particularly like the first outfit because that dress is just too cute and it looks fabulous paired with that blazer.
ReplyDeleteIt’s awesome that you get to work from home! Both are great outfits. I love your blue Converse.
ReplyDeleteSuper cute outfits :) I like you casual and comfy style!

Such cute, casual work looks! It's always nice knowing you don't HAVE to go into the office and then when you do it's a good change to dress up a bit more

Yes, I've been enjoying breaking out more of my office wear this year that has been a bit neglected lately!
DeleteI love Converse with dresses! Cute looks. Gemma x

love the converse with the first dress.

I love your idea of bringing a fun bag to brighten up a day in the office! That is the route I would go too--except I honestly don't know how I would work in an office again (ours closed right before covid, oddly enough!). I'm used to always being surrounded by things that make me smile now--and an office cat! :D
ReplyDeleteI miss cooper so much when I'm in the office - I'm almost always calling hubby to get an update on what he's doing and to send me a pic of him napping, haha! Pets at home are the best on long desk days!
