Tiered Sundresses and Colourful Cover Ups With Louis Vuitton Neverfull Tote | Weekday Wear Link Up

For today's Weekday Wear Link Up I'm sharing two outfits I wore in the Easter school holidays, adding some cute cover ups over these Kmart tiered printed sundresses.

What I wore:

Why I wore it:

Another fun school holiday day, we had a couple of errands to run but also a nature based art class that the kids really enjoyed. The Neverfull tote was perfect for carrying snacks and water bottles.

I really like the subtle Aztec print on this Kmart black tiered sundress, and I thought it would pair nicely with the digital print on this cover up. I really liked the combination together, and I appreciated the cover up when we were in the aircon and the sun protection it gave outside.

The orange in the print, the yellow tassel on the necklace and the mustard tassels on my earrings are very different shades, but I liked the three all together and really loved this outfit.

Why I wore it:

I loved the combination above so much that I repeated it again, another Kmart tiered sundress with another colourful cover up. While the blush print on the dress is a shade or two lighter than the pink of the cover up, the two looked so good together! I added another pastel shade with the blue and gold necklace too, which I thought went nicely with the Louis Vuitton damier azur Neverfull.

We had a really fun day with my mum down the coast, enjoying the beach in the morning and then the park in the afternoon. It was a little windy, but still pretty warm, so this cover up was the perfect light layer over the sundress for sun protection without overheating.

Kmart Orange Linen With Blue Tees, Statement Necklaces, and LV Neverfull Tote

Two fun orange and blue outfits, both featuring the Kmart linen blend pieces I picked up at the opshop back in December, with my big practical Lous Vuitton Neverfull tote bag.

What I wore:

Why I wore it:

I loved this outfit but it was not the best day! Another hot summer day called for an easy shorts and tee outfit, and these linen blend Kmart paperbag waist shorts are great in the heat.

I tucked in this navy tee so it would show off the waist detail on the pants, but still felt this outfit was missing a little something. The turquoise necklace doesn't match anything in the outfit but I felt it was the perfect accessory with this! Simple for tackling a few more back to school errands off the list - the Louis Vuitton Neverfull had water bottles and snacks inside to keep the kids happy while we got everything done.

We did have a productive day and got everything we needed for the upcoming school year, but I was also attacked and bitten very badly by an escaped dog in the afternoon so that made for a very bad day! A little hobbling around for a bit and some nasty bruises for a couple weeks, but all good now thankfully.

Why I wore it:

This was a fun day! It was super hot, but our friends house we were going to for lunch had a pool, so we got to take advantage of the beautiful weather without overheating! I'd usually just throw on a dress for over my bikini for a pool day but wanted to give this linen skirt I'd thrifted another wear - and it being linen, was so light and perfect for a hot day. 

Like in the first outfit, I wasn't too sure if this orange necklace would work, it's a very different shade from the deep rust of the skirt, but I think it added a nice pop of brightness to my outfit. And I didn't have to worry about it if it got splashed by the side of the pool!

Pink and Blue: Floral Cover Ups With Louis Vuitton Neverfull | Weekday Wear Link Up

For today's Weekday Wear Link up, sharing two recent outfits where I added some light layers for spring with both of these floral toppers over shorts and tees, with sneakers and my Louis Vuitton Neverfull tote bag.

What I wore:

Why I wore it:

This was one of those spring days where I didn't quite get my outfit right, as I had to take this jacket off in the middle of the day when I took a break from working from home to take Cooper for his grooming appointment. It was perfect and light enough for the school run though in the morning and afternoon.

I really liked the print and colour this jacket added to the monochrome blue tee and denim shorts outfit, and how it tied in with the marble magenta and gold necklace. I really like a bit of matchy-matchy!

While I didn't have too much to carry with just the school tun, Cooper's appointment and working from home, I'd got all my things in this Louis Vuitton Neverfull from the previous outing and decided to just wear it again for ease of getting read that morning!

This was a fun day! Tried some blush pink with this duster, even though it doesn't have any blush in the print, I liked the pink shorts and matching necklace with it. Because the duster is so long I decided to leave the blue tee untucked, it was a nice relaxed outfit.

The kids and I went out shopping with mum to finish up a couple last little gifts and the Louis Vuitton Neverfull was the best size for carrying snacks and water bottles for everyone.

Tiered Dresses and Tote Bags

Two simple spring dress outfits, wearing a couple of my tiered dresses from Kmart. Kmart keep coming out with these dresses every season and I keep buying them! Paired with some practical tote bags for busy weekend days.

What I wore:

Earrings: Piper recycled metal turquoise tassel earring
Dress: Kmart short sleeve tiered knit dress in indigo ink with pockets

Why I wore it:

This was such a warm day! Wanted to put in a little bit of effort for a playdate with a few friends so I dressed up this navy tiered dress with some matchy-matchy turquoise accessories. I thought the turquoise and silver beaded bracelet stack matched nicely with the turquoise tassel earrings, even if the metal on the earrings is gold. Added my studded sandals as it was much too hot for closed in shoes, and my big Louis Vuitton Neverfull tote is perfect for all the water bottles and snacks needed for a playdate!

Why I wore it:

This was another hot day so again I relied on a tiered dress! This midi dress is longer and provided great sun coverage for my legs. We had a busy day with a playdate at the park in the morning, and then an event with the kids in the evening. Went really matchy-matchy with the black accessories against this dress - with the black tote bag, black and gold beaded bracelet and black statement necklace. I don't think it looked Halloweenish, but I do worry about that sometimes when I pair this amber dress with black!

Was a nice outfit for a hot day, although it was really humid in the evening and I wished I'd picked a shorter dress.

Pink Kmart Dresses, Blue Scarves and Denim Jackets With Chloe Marcie Bag | Weekday Wear Link Up

Sharing another great outfit formula! Pretty pink Kmart dresses, blue scarves, denim jackets, sneakers and my awesome neutral Chloe Marcie bag.

Why I wore it:

This was a bit of a busy day! While it was cold I decided to go bare legged as my mum and sister and I had a fun day out of shopping planned. Quickly realised when my son woke up though that he wasn't quite right, so it was a quick scrabble to find him a doctor and get him some medicine. Luckily there was a local doctor open with availability, and we could leave him to rest at home with hubby and his brother while we went out to shop. I didn't have anything planned to buy, was just looking forward to catching up with my mum and sister and having lunch, but it turned into a really productive shopping day and I started buying a few Christmas presents. We took much longer at the shops than expected, as we hadn't been planning to buy a lot, but it was nice having that time together, especially after the stressful morning. Some of the shops were very warm, so I was glad I'd gone bare legged, and I even took my denim jacket off not long after arriving at the shopping centre. The heart print scarf kept me cosy enough over the linen dress.

It's not the first time I've layered this Kmart linen blend dress up for winter, and once again I stuck to that familiar outfit formula like I'd worn before, with the scarf and denim jacket. Instead of ankle boots like I wore previously, I went with my Adidas Superstar sneakers, such a comfortable shoe for all the walking we did.

Why I wore it:

This was another fun day! I'm even wearing a couple of pieces that my mum bought for me on our day out shopping above. I just had to wear my new little resin earrings right away, I thought they went nicely with the coral pink Kmart tiered dress, even though they are a little hard to see because of my hair. I already have this tiered Kmart midi dress in fuchsia pink and in orange, but I loved this coral colour! As it was on sale Mum offered to get it for me along with the pink resin earrings, and another cute purple pair too.

The sneakers are a Kmart pair too, ones I hadn't worn in a while so they were due another wearing!

I layered the dress up a bit for a cold morning. I had the school run, a vet appointment for Cooper, and then in the afternoon I took advantage of having the day off to spend a couple hours at school watching the kids sports event. They did really well, very proud of them! It was such a warm day that I ended up taking the denim jacket off, although when we spent some time at the playground in the afternoon with my Mum I had pulled the jacket back on. It got cold quickly, even with this cosy wool blend Louis Vuitton scarf.

Navy Striped Dresses, Scarves and Ankle Boots With Pink Bag | Weekday Wear Link Up

As the start of Spring (1st September) gets closer here in Brisbane, I took the chance to brave bare legs. Still layered up with scarves and ankle boots though as winter isn't over just yet.

What I wore:

Why I wore it:

This was a busy day. It was a really cloudy morning, threatening rain, but I was sure it would warm up later so I went bare legged. I was so cold in the afternoon though, it just seemed to get colder through the day! Luckily it was a busy afternoon, so the running around kept me warm! In the morning we had school drop off, I helped out in my son's class, and then I worked from home. After school pick up we ran a couple of errands with a stop to buy presents for a birthday party that weekend, and visited the library. So busy!

At least I liked this outfit, even if I did regret not wearing leggings with it! This Louis Vuitton scarf is such a nice blue with the white and navy striped dress, and I really like how the scarf pops against the black leather jacket too. The jacket was a nice bit of matchy-matchy with the black ankle boots, and the pink Rebecca Minkoff mini 5 zip bag added even more colour.

I loved all the colours in this outfit, and unlike the day above, bare legs were perfect as it warmed up quickly! I even considered taking the scarf off in the afternoon, although for sports in the evening it had cooled off a lot and I did cover up my legs.

It was a relaxed day. School drop off, a quick errand, and then working from home before school pick up in the afternoon, then sports in the evening. I really like pink and purple and blue together, and although the pieces in this outfit are all different intensities of these shades, I love the combination! The navy and black striped dress is a great backdrop for the pink mini 5 zip bag and purple scarf to shine.

Jeans, Striped Tees and Colourful Cardigans With Chloe Small Paraty Bag

Skinny jeans, stripes, sneakers, and colourful cardigan outfits for winter days. I feel I wear jeans every single day, I've gotten a bit lazy with my winter dressing. At least the colour schemes of these outfits are a little varied!

Why I wore it:

I love purple and blue together, although this bright blue Louis Vuitton shawl does steal all the attention away from the cute purple cardi! Despite it being a rainy day it wasn't too cold - so this light cardigan over the navy striped tee was all I needed to stay warm. 

I had the school drop off, an appointment afterwards, and then worked from home until it was time to pick the kids up, and we had a quick shop at Kmart. Thankfully the rain stopped in the afternoon, although it was a little bit of a pain doing the morning drop off in the rain! This scarf is so good at keeping me warm though.

Wore my little Chloe Paraty bag in periwinkle blue, even though it doesn't match the navy stripes of the tee or the bright blue of the scarf, I thought it complimented those shades and the purple cardigan nicely. It also fit a library book for me to read while waiting at my appointment - had such a nice chat with the nurse about the kinds of books we like to read.

Why I wore it:

This was a particularly windy day - perhaps a thicker cardigan may have worked better! Maybe even tying my hair back - the wind wasn't kind to it even though I wasn't outside long snapping these pics!

Another quiet day with the school run and working from home. I wanted to wear this mustard cardigan with the navy striped Coca-Cola tee - both were thrift finds from a sadly now closed local opshop. Surprisingly I haven't worn them together before! I felt they were a really good combination and added a lot of lightness to this outfit that would have been a bit neutral otherwise with the white Stan Smith sneakers and the grey skinny jeans.

Again, the Chloe small Paraty bag doesn't match any of the colours in the outfit, but I thought it complimented the mustard nicely.

How You Can Wear It:

A cardigan can add warmth and a little extra colour to a simple striped tee and jeans outfit in winter. A bright scarf can add even more colour too!
