What I wore:
Knit: thrifted vintage Haneli metallic gold knit jumper
Jeans: Jeanswest Cecile dove grey skinny jeans
Shoes: Converse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bracelets: the usual
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff mini MAB tote in plum
Why I wore it:
I loved how comfortable this outfit was! I had nothing terribly exciting planned, the school run, working from home and an appointment, so I just wanted to be cosy. This vintage metallic knit and the grey skinny jeans was a combination I wasn't too sure about, if it would be too like silver and gold together, but decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did! I think the purple leopard print scarf and the purple Rebecca Minkoff mini MAB tote really pulled the outfit together, they were a nice pop of colour and coordinate well.Still ended up throwing a blanket over my legs while working from home though, it was a really cold day!

My Rebecca Minkoff Handbag Collection:
What I wore:
Knit: thrifted Valleygirl blue knit jumper
Jeans: Sass & Bide The Winning Day Lovestate jeans in magenta
Shoes: Converse Chuck Taylor All Star low in white
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff Micro Bedford zip satchel in twilight
Why I wore it:
This outfit is exactly the same formula as the one above, but was even more colourful! It's not the first time I've worn this cobalt knit with the magenta jeans, I really like blue and pink together! Blue, pink and purple is an awesome combo so I decided to accessorise with this thrifted purple pashmina. I wasn't sure that the checked fabric would work with the marle on the knit, but again as with the outfit above I'm glad I tried it as I think it worked well! With the bright jeans, bright top and colourful purple scarf, I went with my neutral white Converse.Couldn't decide on just the right bag for this outfit - I knew I needed a neutral one to balance out the colour a bit. Went with this little navy micro Bedford crossbody bag in the end - it does go with everything and I've worn it with these pink jeans and a blue leather jacket before so I knew it would be a good choice for this blue and pink outfit too!
Another quiet day - no working from home as it was the weekend, so just a couple of errands and a library trip with the boys. It was a little too chilly to stop in the playground, but perfect for snuggling up at home and reading the books we borrowed.

How You Can Wear It:
A cosy knitted jumper is an easy way to stay warm on a cold winter day, especially when paired with jeans. A colourful scarf can help keep you cosier too, and add a little more colour to your outfit, like these purple scarves do.
Ooh, I'm swooning over that plum coloured bag in your first outfit, Mica! My favourite, however, is the second one, with its mix of purple, blue and magenta! xxx
ReplyDeleteThat trio of colours always goes so well together!
DeleteBeautiful, as always!! <3 - http://www.domesticgeekgirl.com
ReplyDeleteI hope your week is going well, hon! Love both of these outfits, but I think I have to give the edge to the first outfit, as I love the sparkly top and that bag/scarf combo just elevates it! I can't help but look at all your outfits and think how your new bag is going to go with them. :-D I have a quiet weekend ahead, so hoping to get the back of the bag done!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend yourself, my dear friend! Stay cozy!
Yes! The bag would work so well with both of these outfits! I'm so excited to get it, I have a lot of plans for it, hehe!

Love the colorful combination in the second look, of course, but I am surprised by how much I love the first look with the two (perfectly matched) purple pieces against the gold and grey outfit! That warm red-violet color is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI really should wear the scarf and bag together more often, it's a great combination!
DeleteMe gusta la cartera y la bufanda, purpura. Te mando un beso.
ReplyDeleteI like both outfits on you Mica. The color combo of the first outfit is so nice. I hope you have a nice weekend Mica.
ReplyDeleteI just love the knit and the grey skinny jeans paired together in the first look. It is such a beautiful combination. And that scarf really adds a fun pop of colour as well. The second look is fabulous as well and definitely leans into bold colours. You have incredible style!
ReplyDeletethe creation of beauty is art.
Of course I am loving all the purple in outfit #1! :D And the purple and pink in outfit #2 are so fun! I was wearing a blanket while working this week too, even though it's summer here. The temp dropped overnight for a few nights in a row, making our house pretty cool in the mornings!
ReplyDeleteHope it doesn't get too cold for you with winter coming up! Best bit about working from home is being able to snuggle up with a blanket on cold days though definitely!
DeleteBoth of these are cute outfits. Have a great weekend.

I'm always crazy for purple! Have a wonderful rest of the week! Thanks for linking- and not sure if you saw my message but I'm unable to link up to yours though?
ReplyDeleteSorry you have been unable to link up, but thank you for trying!
DeleteIt must have been pretty cold for the jumpers to come out and play and you topped them with scarves too. Both looks spell cozy and the second colorful one is such a mood-lifter on a cold day. I really liked how you easily wear both muted and very vibrant outfit variations. I hope you and kids are doing well there. We are getting tired with the continuous rain here and hoping for some sunshine!
ReplyDeleteLots of love xoxo
Yes we have had some colder days, so it's been good to have these jumpers in my wardrobe, although I feel I haven't worn a lot of my jumpers this year! Hope you get some sunshine soon!
DeleteThank you all for your kind comments :)
