What I wore:
Top: See by Chloe silk mixed print tassel top from Sheila's wardrobe
Jeans: Nobody Denim Siren skinny super high-rise jeans in power black denim (c/o)
Shoes: Wittner 'Jasmarie' studded sandals
Bracelets: the usual
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff yellow mini 5 zip
Why I wore it:
When Sheila sent me the beautiful bag she decorated she included a few pieces from her wardrobe she didn't want any more. I've already put a jacket to good use, and I decided to give this top a wear. It was a quiet day, helping in my son's classroom in the morning, the school run, working from home, and the library in the afternoon. This is a silk top though and I found myself a bit worried a few times the day with messy kids (including my own) and the delicate silk, ha! I did so love wearing this though. The blue print I originally thought was leopard print is actually an abstract floral print, and it's so pretty with the print mixing stripes on the sleeves. I really liked the simplicity of the black jeans with this - I was definitely inspired from a previous way Sheila has worn this. One day I'll be brave enough to give print mixing a go!

Why I wore it:
Trying yellow and orange again! I really like the combination, and just like the outfit above, the yellow bag pops against the black skinny jeans. I think the addition of this yellow bag helped stop the outfit looking too Halloween-ish with the orange leopard print and black jeans. This was a really nice colourful jeans and tee outfit for a day of working from home and doing the school run. Every time I wear this tee I love it, I really should wear it more often!

How You Can Wear It:
Black skinny jeans can be a great outfit base for a colourful printed top and a bright bag, as they are a classic neutral.
Love both of these chic casual combinations! Have a wonderful day Mica!

That silk top is such a beautiful piece. I just love the print on you! So so pretty. The orange leopard print top is gorgeous as well. You have a lot of really incredible items in your wardrobe. I love seeing how you put everything together <3
ReplyDeletethe creation of beauty is art.
Yes I love a good printed piece - although I've been focusing more on buying solid coloured pieces lately, that work with the prints to let them shine!
DeleteIsn’t it awesome when friends gift you their cast offs? And I love the yellow purse. It really pops.

It really is! it's nice to be able to raid someone else's wardrobe, usually I'm just diving into my sister's, haha!
DeleteWhat a cute bag! Although it is absolutely perfect with both of your outfits here, I particularly love the blue/yellow combo of the first one. How sweet of Sheila to send you that gorgeous blouse! I hardly ever mixed patterns before I started blogging, but now I do with some guidance by my fellow bloggers. I'm absolutely certain you can do it too! xxx
ReplyDeleteyes I am looking forward to giving it a go with that top once I work up the confidence, haha!
DeleteMixing prints always takes me back to high school. The boys would do that with their shorts and tops. Not generally well done. I mean, it can be well done. But I don't trust myself to do it.
ReplyDeleteThat's why a top like the first one is great, print mixing built in!
DeletePrinted tops are so fun to wear, I love those two! <3

Woo! You look amazing in that blouse, Mica! I like the tassels worn long - I think I always tied them up in a bow. You should be able to hand-wash this - put the tassels in a plastic bag and elastic the heck out of it to seal hem inside. Cold water, a dab of shampoo, and press the water out and lay it flat to dry (pull the pleats on the shoulders into place).
ReplyDeleteI love the mix of yellow with both of these looks - it really pops! I love seeing you get more adventurous!
I have the right product for hand washing it, I just haven't gotten around to it yet, eek! I usually chuck all my clothing in a hand wash cycle in the machine, but this I'll need to be more careful with and actually hand wash! :)
DeleteI love your pretty printed tops in these outfits! Hope you are having a good week!
ReplyDeleteLos dos outfits son muy bonitos, saludos:D
ReplyDeleteKestrel here, I like your casual summer wear - good colours to mix and match and a bright yellow to shout out
ReplyDeleteBoth the tops are cute, and these are lovely outfits.

That silk top is lovely, but I would definitely be nervous about wearing it too. Now that I work from home and live in athleisure wear, "dry clean only" is not in my vocabulary anymore, ha!
ReplyDeleteHaha yes, I have a silk skirt that hasn't been worn in a few years - gotta be super careful, and also got to have something exciting enough to do to justify wearing such pretty pieces - working from home being my life now too!
DeleteWhat a fun ruffly top!
ReplyDeleteThanks all for your kind comments :)
