What I wore:
Tee: Cotton On deep v tee in washed desert rose
Skirt: thrifted SES Fashions vertical stripe maxi skirt
Shoes: black slim Havaianas thongs
Bracelets: the usual plus wooden bead bracelets
Bag: Chloe Marcie medium shoulder bag in nut
Why I wore it:
I realised I hadn't worn this maxi skirt in a while and got it out on this day to try give it one last wear, to see if I should keep it in my wardrobe. A $1 opshop find, I've only worn it times 4 times since I thrifted it back in 2019. However wearing it just reminded my why I bought it, it's definitely a keeper. It was a nice light skirt to wear, and it has pockets! The black and white stripes go with everything too.Perfect outfit for a long weekend day spent at the beach and playground with the kids - this maxi skirt, although polyester, wasn't too heavy in the heat of the day and I felt quite cool in it with the slits up the side. It provided awesome physical sunblock for my legs too!
The wooden bead bracelets are new - I found these in a box of old things at my parent's place, still with tags on, from a now closed store. I thought they complimented the brown of the Chloe Marcie bag nicely.
Last worn: pink tee, terrazzo and wood rose gold bead necklace, vertical striped maxi skirt, Havaianas, Chloe Marcie shoulder bag.
Other ways to wear: pink tee and culottes, vertical striped maxi skirt with denim jacket, Chloe Marcie shoulder bag and floral dress.

Tee: Cotton On The One fitted v tee in washed poolside blue
Skirt: thrifted Ghanda midi slink skirt in green mini blossom
Shoes: Marc by Marc Jacobs logo plaque flats in camel

Why I wore it:
This skirt was another thrift find, also just $1, that I felt I should wear again! I got this skirt because my sister has the same one and I thought it was such a lucky find I couldn't say no. Being a green midi skirt, it's two things I find challenging to wear, but I can always ask my sister for style tips, and it's good to try different things sometimes. I spent a little while trying to think of what to wear with it before I decided on this blue tee - I do like blue and green together!Just like last time I wore this bag with tan shoes, I figured the two browns were far enough apart that they worked together in this outfit. And I really like the look of this skirt with ballet flats.
Spent the day working from home, with the school run too. Had a little appointment in the afternoon before picking up the kids as well.
Last worn: blue tee, beaded necklace, daisy print midi skirt, tan flats, Chloe Marcie shoulder bag (above).
Other ways to wear: blue tee and red skirt, daisy print midi skirt and Converse, tan flats and wrap dress, Chloe Marcie shoulder bag and blue dress.

How You Can Wear It:
Printed skirts pair perfectly with block colour tees! With the tee being a single basic colour you don't have to worry about it clashing with any prints on your skirt.
What a gorgeous bag, cant wait to watch the video!

Both of these skirts are thrifting scores! I especially like the first one, you should wear it more often!
ReplyDeleteI've worn it more than I expected too, having nothing else like it in my wardrobe! it was definitely a good opshop buy!
DeleteBeautiful outfits. I like that green skirt. How cool that you and your sister have the same one?
ReplyDeleteAlthough I think she wears it much better than me it's fun to have the same pieces in our wardrobes - we have a few same or similar pieces actually!
DeleteThat vertical striped skirt is so beautiful! I'm glad it is a keeper and you are enjoying the piece. I love that you find so many gorgeous items for such a low price. You are the ultimate shopper!

I'm glad to read you decided that the striped maxi skirt is a keeper! It's gorgeous and looks absolutely fabulous with the rose tee! There's no competition for me here: this outfit is definitely my favourite of the two! xxx
ReplyDeleteYes I don't know why I ever thought I'd get rid of it! A keeper for sure!
DeleteYou look nice :)

Skirts should all have pockets. Nice.
ReplyDeleteYes, pockets are the best!
DeleteThe skirts are really amazing finds, I have started to look in op shops in more recent times.
ReplyDeleteYes I've been shopping opshops more than retail stores the past few years :) Lots of fun finds!
DeleteLindas faldas. Te mando un beso.

Yes I got very lucky, they were bargains!
DeleteI love the direction of the stripes in that first skirt! I pulled out a grey maxi the other day and was the same way: I realized why I had kept it in my closet.

Love the purse!! Thanks so much for stopping by and for your kind words!! Stay safe, healthy and happy!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,

This Chloe bag is absolutely stunning. I like as well this maxi skirt- I still have like you some clothes that I wore maybe couple of times and I forget that I have them in my wardrobe :-)
ReplyDeleteMica, loving both of these casual looks! Of COURSE you had to give that skirt another chance! Pockets!! It's a regret-me-not! I think you'll find it's really easy to style - any solid colour will look fantastic with it. The little bead bracelets are very "you" - I think they will go really well with all your bead necklaces.
ReplyDeleteLove that midi length green skirt (I remember you being dubious about the length last time you wore it, but it's SUCH a pretty length and style on you).
The brown bag is a great neutral piece - I just thrifted another (another!) Danier Leather bag in a similar colour/shape and have yet to wear it, so thank you for the ideas!
Have an awesome day, my dear friend!
Glad I could give you some ideas as you inspire me so much! :) The maxi skirt is definitely a regret-me-not, I'm glad I gave it a wear before putting it in the donate pile! And I love the bracelets, don't know why I kept them or indeed why I hadn't worn them before!
DeleteThe new comment boxes annoy me too, but your comment did publish!
Hmm...I hope my comment published. These new comment boxes...sigh.
ReplyDeleteI'm getting major pinstripe vibes from the first outfit, but in skirt form, and I love it! Cute, casual or could be dressy. The mauve top is perfect for it!
