Why I wore it:
Oh this was such a fun day! We had a very busy and packed agenda - a day off for getting some Christmas shopping done! I went out with my mum and sister to try make more progress with my Christmas present list. Unlike last year, there weren't a lot of great sales on, but we did manage to fill up the entire boot and some of the back seat of the car with our purchases so it was a very successful shopping trip!I knew I'd wear these Adidas Superstar sneakers as they are really comfortable and supportive for a day out with a lot of walking. And this pretty Jaase navy floral print dress was overdue another wear! I really like the little yellow Rebecca Minkoff mini 5-zip bag against the navy background of the dress, and the autumnal oranges in red in the floral print.
I still have a few more gifts to get, but I have now got the majority of the Christmas shopping sorted which is great!

Other ways to wear: Jaase floral dress and denim jacket, Adidas Superstar sneakers and maxi skirt, Rebecca Minkoff yellow mini 5-zip bag and olive.

Why I wore it:
The denim jacket looks so good with this floral print shift dress, but was a definite mistake with the weather! We had a little errand to run before school drop off and I realised that the humidity was increasing and maybe a denim jacket wasn't the best choice. Took it off after the school drop off, worked from home, and didn't need to put it back on for school pickup in the afternoon. We had an event in the afternoon to attend and a quick stop by the library, then I started cooking dinner. Then I got a call from my sister and so I ended up making a quick drive down the coast to help her out. It was an unexpected visit but a lot of fun! I ended up taking leftovers over for my dinner so we sat and had our respective leftovers for dinner together.
With more driving than expected these Converse chucks weren't the best most supportive shoe for that, but I do love the blue against the green background of the dress, and it matches the blue in the floral print quite well.
With the yellow in the dress print, this little Rebecca Minkoff mini 5-zip was a good bit of matchy-matchy too.
Last worn: denim jacket, Tiffany necklace, tropical floral print shift dress, Converse, Rebecca Minkoff mini 5-zip bag (above).
Other ways to wear: denim jacket worn 30 ways, tropical floral print shift dress under a skirt, Converse and denim mini, Rebecca Minkoff mini 5-zip bag and blazer.
Perfect for pregnancy: denim jacket in second trimester, tropical floral print shift dress in second trimester.

How You Can Wear It:
A colourful printed dress and sneakers is an easy outfit for spring. You can add even more colour to the print with a bright bag like I have with this little yellow 5-zip mini.

Such a great, yellow purse! Props to you for getting the bulk of your shopping done! I have only a couple items, but still so many more to go.
ReplyDeleteYou totally suit these floral dresses, Mica - you look gorgeous in both outfits! I'm agog that you've done most of your Christmas shopping already - I really haven't thought too much about it! The Converse are really cute with your outfits, sorry they weren't so great for support (the curse of the Cons!). I would advise picking up a sport insole at the drugstore for them.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the link-party!
I do need to give that insole trick a try, thanks for the reminder!
DeleteTwo great variations on a theme, Mica. Fun and fresh, ready for whatever the day brings.

I just love that the yellow purse gives such a wonderful pop of color with both looks. I have to wear inserts in my Converse sneakers because they don't have much support.

ReplyDeleteCongrats on all your Christmas shopping success!! ...I only seem to be buying Christmas presents for myself these days, ha! (And my dad, who is the easiest person to shop for because he buys literally nothing fun for himself!)
ReplyDeleteI find my dad so hard to buy for but my sister stumbled across a great gift we split between us so we got that covered this year thankfully! And who can resist buying a few little things just for ourselves when shopping for others! Always the way it works, haha!
DeleteLove these floral dresses!
