What I wore:
Necklace: Kmart gold and navy beaded necklace
Tee: Cotton On "The One" fitted v tee in Cole stripe white moonlight
Shorts: Jeanswest Tessa olive embroidered shorts
Shoes: New Balance Coast women's running shoe in black
Bag: Louis Vuitton MM damier azur neverfull
Why I wore it:
Unfortunately, on this long weekend, it rained for two of the three days. When Monday brought clear skies we knew we had to get the kids out the house, so went to our favourite park for a bike and scooter ride, and then a play in the playground afterwards.I wasn't sure if it was going to warm up much, so I added the cosy navy waterfall cardigan over the striped tee and olive shorts outfit to combat the morning chill. I really didn't need to though, it was such a warm and sunny day I ended up taking it off part way through our ride!
With the navy stripes on the tee, the navy and gold necklace seemed like another way to play up the matchy-matchy along with the navy cardigan. I really like navy and olive together, it looks so good with the olive embroidered shorts.
Wore the New Balance sneakers to provide support for my sore knee as we went around the trail - and the big Louis Vuitton Neverfull as it fit all our water bottles and some snacks for after the ride too!
Last worn: blue waterfall cardigan, navy and gold bead necklace, navy stripe tee, olive embroidered shorts, New balance sneakers, Louis Vuitton Neverfull tote.
Other ways to wear: blue waterfall cardigan worn belted, navy stripe tee worn two ways, olive embroidered shorts and kimono, Louis Vuitton Neverfull tote worn 30 ways.
Perfect for pregnancy: Louis Vuitton Neverfull tote in third trimester.
Wear & Tear: Louis Vuitton Neverfull After 7 Years
What I wore:
Earrings: Piper gold heart earrings
Jacket: Jeanswest Peggie kimono cardigan in purple mulberry marleNecklace: Colette crescent purple and gold necklace
Tank: Jeanswest Maya gather back tank in mid turquoise
Shorts: Jeanswest Valerie yarn dye stripe short in navy and white
Shoes: New Balance Coast women's running shoe in black
Bag: Louis Vuitton MM damier azur neverfull
Why I wore it:
Making the most of another long weekend, we headed out with my family and the kids to check out a local bush trail. My parents had visited before and my Mum warned me I'd need support for my knee - however I forgot my knee brace, realised when we were already driving there and figured I'd be fine, I'd take the trail slow and I was wearing my supportive sneakers. Really should have turned back for the knee brace though, it was an unpaved and hilly trail so I suffered for a bit after it. So worth it though, such a beautiful trail and the kids had a blast clambering up and around some of the rocks!Again I added a cardigan over my shorts outfit - this one was just a thin knit as I wasn't sure what the day had in store, it had been another cool autumn morning. Just like the day above though, it warmed up and I took the cardigan off for the second half of the trail. I thought the purple was such a nice topper over the monochromatic turquoise tank and navy culotte shorts outfit, and it did keep me warm before the sun peeked out from behind the clouds!
Again, I wore the Neverfull tote bag. Perfect for snacks, water bottles, and my camera for taking pics on the trail. Forgot to charge my camera though so the battery ran out quickly sadly!
Last worn: earrings, purple cocoon cardigan, crescent necklace, turquoise tank, navy stripe culotte shorts, New Balance sneakers (above), Louis Vuitton damier azur Neverfull (above).
Other ways to wear: purple cocoon cardigan and maxi dress, turquoise tank and maxi skirt, navy stripe culotte shorts with orange, Louis Vuitton damier azur Neverfull and sheath dress.
Perfect for pregnancy: purple cocoon cardigan and hidden baby bump, Louis Vuitton damier azur Neverfull at 38 weeks.

How You Can Wear It:
Simple shorts and tee, or shorts and tank outfits can still be worn into autumn in Brisbane! To combat the chilly autumn mornings, a light knitted cardigan is a great layer - and it can easily be stashed into a tote bag for later when the day warms up.
We've got a long weekend coming up here as well and I am really looking forward to it (even if it supposed to be a little rainy and cold).

Great looks Mica, love the striped shorts but my favorite outfit today is the first one. Seems like I'm living in a striped tee this spring!
ReplyDeleteLove how the cardigans complete the looks!

I do love long weekends! Stinks when the weather is bad though! We have one coming up at the end of the month, hopefully the weather stays nice! (It will be our recovery day from a trip to see my husbands mom. Why is it you always need a vacation after vacation!)
ReplyDeleteI always hated when I forgot to wear/bring my knee brace for days when we walked a lot! Luckily I haven't needed it for a couple years but I still pack it on trips where there will be hiking/walking juuuuust in case, haha!

It's a great mum bag - fits everything!
DeleteI love how you always put colours that I didn't think would work! Love the navy and olive together, but that purple with the turquoise is also fantastic and one pairing I didn't think would work! Lovely as always:)
ReplyDeleteIt's a combo I need to wear more often, you're right it really does work!
DeleteI love how you're experimenting with bold colour, Mica! That purple cardi looks fantastic with your turquoise top! The blue/khaki outfit is also really nice, a bit more subtle.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your knee - I hope you're icing it and resting it. Good for you for wearing supportive shoes. Have a great weekend!
It's frustrating but when I know my limits it's easier to live with - I just shouldn't have forgotten the support that day!
DeleteLooks comfy.
ReplyDeleteI love the bad, it's lovely! Sorry to hear about the rainy weekend. It's rained every day so far in May here. Last year we had a lovely May!

I think it's smart you add the cardigan Mica. We always joke that better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it, LOL

ReplyDeleteI do hope your knee has recovered from that rough trail's ordeal! xxx
You look so nice in both of the outfits Mica. I love your handbag and I have the same one but in the brown fabric. I haven't used my bag in a few years but I guess I should bring it out of the closet. Thanks for the blog visit Mica. Wishing you a wonderful weekend.

Two long weekends in a row sounds like so much fun! It's wonderful that you were able to take advantage of them and spend some time outdoors :)
ReplyDeleteEkaterina | Polar Bear Style
yes it was really nice! :)
DeleteLooking like stylish paradise in these beautiful looks :) I'm so happy you enjoyed public holiday Mondays recently, the waterfall cardigan is such a gem of a piece and works gorgeously with the shorts; adoring the floral and striped prints on both! The bike and scooter rides sound like a dream and I'm glad clearer skies made up for the rain ♥︎
ReplyDeleteThe bush trail sounds so picturesque and perfect and I'm glad the kids enjoyed the rocks, so glad it was worth the trip :) The purple and turquoise tones work so well and radiate all the vibrant cloud nine cuteness! I hope you're all keeping well and have a wonderful week ahead full of happiness ♥︎

I've been thinking about getting an LV neverfull but looking at something between a clutch and speedy size. @___@. Love your outfit!! The colors go well together and you can never go wrong with a striped top! I should look into those for some summer wear! The shorts from the second picture looks like a skirt I have! Love the pairing! Have a great week :)

That's funny because it seems like it rained a lot this week on the other side of the world lol, there was no rain on the forecast and it started raining lol. The navy and olive colors together are very pretty, you are so great at fashion. :) I love the second outfit it looks very fun but business casual at the same time :)
ReplyDeleteloveiszero.net
These are both such great fall outfits. I really like the olive green and navy combination. I always love the way a long cardigan or kimono pairs with shorts, too. The second outfit is so cute as well. The paper bag style shorts look great on you and I also love this color combination. Thanks for linking with me, Mica!
