Pink and Blue Outfits With Linen Shorts and Julian Nylon Backpack

With my cousin visiting Brisbane, we took advantage of the lovely weather on the weekend to visit a couple of theme parks. Kept my outfits simple, with my thrifted Kmart linen shorts. They are great for the heat.

What I wore:

Jacket: thrifted Cotton On navy zig zag cover up
Necklace: Kmart navy and gold beaded tassel necklace
TeeCotton On deep v tee in washed desert rose
Shorts: thrifted Kmart turquoise linen shorts
ShoesSketchers Bountiful navy fabric sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff Julian nylon backpack in bright blue

Why I wore it:

Because it was going to be a hot day with a lot of walking I knew I wanted to wear these turquoise linen shorts. Wasn't sure what to wear them with though then I saw this kimono hanging up in my wardrobe. With the navy background and the pink and turquoise chevron prints it was so easy to go matchy-matchy and add a pink tee to this outfit. I really liked all of this together! The navy beaded necklace and navy Sketchers matched the cover up as well, and although the cobalt nylon Rebecca Minkoff Julian backpack doesn't match any of the blues in this outfit I thought it complimented them nicely. Plus the backpack was such a practical choice for toting around snacks and water bottles for us all.

Last worn: chevron print cover up, navy beaded necklace, pink tee, turquoise linen shorts, Sketchers, Rebecca Minkoff Julian nylon backpack.

Other ways to wearchevron print cover up with black and white, pink tee and skirt, turquoise linen shorts and graphic tee, Sketchers and dress, Rebecca Minkoff Julian nylon backpack and green.

What I wore:

NecklaceTiffany & Co pink double heart tag pendant necklace
Top: Caroline Morgan navy embroidered tunic
Shorts: thrifted Kmart fuchsia linen blend shorts
ShoesSketchers Bountiful navy fabric sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff Julian nylon backpack in bright blue

Why I wore it:

Another day, another theme park! We headed to movie world and again I went with my comfortable Sketchers sneakers for all the walking, and the Rebecca Minkoff Julian backpack for carrying everything we needed. I stuck with the pink and blue colour scheme too! These fuchsia pink Kmart linen shorts were also an opshop find and I really love them with the navy tunic top. I thought the embroidery was a really pretty detail and didn't feel the need to add a cover up to this with the shoulder cover from the tunic and because I expected to be in the shade most of the day waiting on ride lines.

We got a lot of rides in over the day, and I even got to go on Green Lantern that I've never tried before!

The desert rose tee and the turquoise linen shorts are a sight for sore eyes, and I love the extra layer added by the kimono! xxx
