What I wore:
Necklace: Tiffany & Co silver 5th Avenue notes heart pendant necklace plus Tiffany & Co pink double heart tag pendant necklace
Tank: Jeanswest Florence print long line tank
Skirt: Atmos&Here grey marle jersey pencil skirt
Shoes: Marc by Marc Jacobs silver tuxedo flats
Bag: Mica Bag - Rebecca Minkoff mini MAB side zip tote in pale lilac hand painted by Sheila
Why I wore it:
With the brown abstract print tank and the grey marl pencil skirt, this was a really neutral outfit. And a bit plain. The orange blazer was the perfect pop of colour for a day in the office and to add some brightness to the neutrals. I kept the flats neutral too with my silver ballet flats, but added a little extra colour and print with my hand painted floral mini MAB tote bag Sheila made me.The difference this orange blazer makes with this outfit has me thinking about getting other blazers - I've been paying closer attention to them in opshops, although I haven't found any more just yet! I will keep looking though as now I'm back in the office more often I'm finding colourful blazers really make a difference.

Rebecca Minkoff Custom Painted Mini MAB Tote Detail:
What I wore:
Necklace: Kmart rose gold and pink beaded necklace
Tank: Jeanswest Rowena print tank
Skirt: Jeanswest zip detail ponte pencil skirt
Shoes: Walnut Melbourne 'Ava' black lizard ballet flats
Bracelets: the usual
Bag: Mica Bag - Rebecca Minkoff mini MAB side zip tote in pale lilac hand painted by Sheila
Why I wore it:
Although this blush pink blazer doesn't add such a big pop of colour being a pastel, you can see how it lifts this outfit as well. Again it was pretty neutral with the brown tank and the black pencil skirt, and I liked the touches of pink with the necklace and the blush blazer.Wasn't too sure if the floral mini MAB tote would work with the animal print of the tank, but I'm glad I gave it a wear. This bag always makes me smile when I wear it and it gets so many compliments as everyone appreciates Sheila's artwork.

Brown + black + blush is such a pretty color combination, and the floral bag really added a nice second focal point to the outfit. Orange + grey is a combination I have under-appreciated; for me, I'd need to soften the orange to a more muted tone, but I think it would work.
ReplyDeleteBoth of these outfits are so cute for work. I love your orange blazer!

What beautiful blazers, Mica! I love that bright orange, it really pops with the first look. The pink blazer is such a pretty color, and love how it's sort of matchy-matchy with that pretty necklace too! That bag has such beautiful details too and goes so wonderfully with each of these looks!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a wonderful week, my friend! :)
Make Life Marvelous
I absolutely love your first outfit Sheila. The printed tank and pencil skirt are a very chic combo, and I'm loving the pop of orange from the blazer. Absolutely perfect with "Sheila's bag" too! xxx
ReplyDeleteThat orange blazer is fabulous Mica. I always look at jackets when I'm thrifting because they tend to be a great deal in comparison to buying them at the store.

I love that orange blazer.
ReplyDeleteI almost didn't notice the bag, as I picked up my jaw from the floor after seeing your amazing orange blazer, Mica!! Wow, it looks fantastic, and I love that you paired it with neutral grey (hint, orange goes with everything!).
ReplyDeleteI encourage you to look for interesting and colourful blazers (always be upgrading! look for good quality) when you're thrifting. This is one of the best areas to get a really good quality garment that will elevate your outfits to a new level.
Love the pink tone on you too, but I think a topper with more structure in the shoulders would be an improvement. You are such a dear for always linking re: "our" bag. <3 I'm glad you still love it.
Prefect work looks. Have an awesome week.
