Green and Red: Blue Singlet and Maxi Skirt Outfits

Wearing skirts and singlets for some very humid summer days in Brisbane! Both these outfits feature the same basic formula, just with different colours.

What I wore:

Earrings: gold angel stud earrings
Necklace: thrifted Belle Folie multi colour tassel necklace
Tank: Kmart navy ribbed tank
Skirt: thrifted NWT Beginning Boutique Sahara red-orange maxi skirt
ShoesLes Tropeziennes Par M.Belarbi leopard print and gold leather sandals
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff Edie regular shoulder bag in Luna blue

Why I wore it:

Wore this to go to church and run a couple of errands afterwards. I really like this thrifted tiered maxi skirt, it's the perfect in-between red and orange shade so it looks so good with a neutral like navy. I added a little more colour to it with the fun tassel necklace, also an opshop find.

I added even more blue with the Luna blue Rebecca Minkoff Edie shoulder bag. It's been a while since I've worn it, and it works so well with red and other shades of blue that it seemed like the obvious accessory for this outfit.

Last worn: angel stud earrings, navy tank, tassel necklace, tiered maxi skirt, sandals, Rebecca Minkoff Edie bag.

Other ways to wearnavy tank and shorts, tiered maxi skirt and denim jacket, sandals and jeans, Rebecca Minkoff Edie bag and dress.

What I wore:

Earrings: Avocado Santa hat earrings
Necklace: thrifted bronze foil statement necklace
Dress: Jeanswest 'Jenni' basic singlet in Hawaii blue
Skirt: Kmart breeze green broderie anglaise midi skirt
Shoesthrifted white leather Chuck Taylor All Star Converse sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
BagChloe Marcie medium shoulder bag in nut

Why I wore it:

As I so often do, this outfit is me repeating an outfit formula again that worked so well previously. I chose a brighter blue tank to wear with this green broderie midi skirt, and added a little extra green with my avocado Santa hat earrings and the green hair tie. I had to tie my hair back as it was just too hot and humid to leave it down! We had a birthday party at an indoor play place to attend in the morning, and then we were planning to view the Christmas lights in the evening. Unfortunately the massive storms that blew in meant we couldn't keep to our evening plans, but at least the kids had fun at the birthday party.

Wore my big Chloe Marcie shoulder bag as it holds all the essentials easily, and it has extra space for water bottles for the kids. It's thirsty work at an indoor play area for a birthday party, especially on such a humid day!

Last worn: avocado earrings, bronze foil necklace, blue singlet, green broderie skirt, leather Converse, Chloe Marcie shoulder bag.

Other ways to wearblue singlet and shorts, green broderie skirt and blazer, leather Converse and dress, Chloe Marcie shoulder bag and jeans.

Perfect for pregnancy: blue singlet in second trimester.

Green and Blue Tee and Midi Skirt Outfits With Mimco Teal Bag

Wearing some midi skirts into the office with blue tees and my little teal Mimco cocoon bucket bag. I like the teal bag with these green and blue outfits, despite the different shades in both.

What I wore:

Earrings: Avocado Santa hat earrings
Necklace: thrifted flat navy statement bead necklace
TeeCotton On The One fitted v tee in washed poolside blue
Skirt: Kmart breeze green broderie anglaise midi skirt
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star coast blue
Bracelets: the usual plus jade bracelet
BagMimco vintage cocoon bucket bag in teal

Why I wore it:

This pale blue tee feels a littler more casual than a darker navy one, so I did consider adding a blazer to this. Despite the overcast start to the day it was still very humid though, so I decided not to add the extra layer. It was a quiet day in the office anyway.

I did like the paler blue tee against the bright green of the broderie skirt though. I often wear this skirt with blue tones. The blue Converse were a good match with the tee as well, although not exactly the same shade, they are very similar. I added a little more green with the jade bracelet as well. Wore a neutral navy statement necklace to try dress this up slightly for the office, and then my Mimco cocoon bucket bag that's been a real staple lately.

Last worn: pastel blue tee, navy beaded necklace, green broderie midi skirt, blue Converse, Mimco teal cocoon bucket bag. First time I've worn the earrings as they were a gift.

Other ways to wearpastel blue tee and shorts, green broderie midi skirt and Christmas tee, blue Converse and dress, Mimco teal cocoon bucket bag and pencil skirt.

What I wore:

Earrings: DIY green clay Christmas tree earrings
NecklaceStarfish Project Hannah turquoise bead necklace
Tee: Jeanswest Sophie navy v-neck tee
Skirt: thrifted &Me blue linen button up midi skirt with pockets
Shoesthrifted white leather Chuck Taylor All Star Converse sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
BagMimco vintage cocoon bucket bag in teal

Why I wore it:

Again with the green and a lighter blue! This time around I wore this blue linen midi skirt, with a navy v-neck tee and my green beaded statement necklace for an extra pop of colour. I love wearing this green necklace with navy pieces in my wardrobe, I like the combination. And I really liked this linen midi skirt too. It does get creased up terribly easily, but it is also so light and perfect for a humid spring day. I like that it's also long enough to keep my legs covered up from the freezing aircon in the office.

Just like the midi skirt and tee outfit above, I wore my teal Mimco cocoon bucket bag with this outfit. I've been wearing it with almost everything lately, but I think the dark teal looks so good with blue.

Last worn: Christmas tree earrings, navy tee, green beaded necklace, linen midi skirt, white Converse, Mimco cocoon bag (above).

Other ways to wearnavy tee and jeans, linen midi skirt and printed tank, white Converse and dress, Mimco cocoon bag and blazer.

Midi Skirts and Blazers

Dressing up my midi skirts for cooler autumn days and making them look a little more formal for work, just by adding a comfortable jersey blazer. While both these skirts and resulting outfits feel different, I really liked them both!

What I wore:

Earrings: Piper recycled metal turquoise tassel earring
Jacket: thrifted Valleygirl navy jersey blazer
Necklace: navy and silver circle pendant tassel necklace
Cami: thrifted no label chambray tie strap cami
Skirt: Kmart breeze green broderie anglaise midi skirt
Shoesthrifted white leather Chuck Taylor All Star Converse sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff 2012 sky grey mini MAC bag

Why I wore it:

This was a busy but fun day at work - we had a big team lunch to attend, so while it was cooler on the commute I knew we would be enjoying the sun outside at lunchtime at an outdoor restaurant. This outfit was perfect, I didn't feel too cold, although I did end up keeping my blazer on both at lunch and at my desk. I really liked the navy blazer with the green broderie midi skirt, and the lighter blues of the turquoise tassel necklace, chambray cami and sky grey Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC bag.

With the navy blazer and the turquoise tassel earrings, this navy circle and tassel necklace seemed like a fun bit of matchy-matchy, even if the silver hardware was different from the gold on the mini MAC bag, it tied in with the res of my outfit well and I'm never one to shy away from mixing metals!

Last worn: navy blazer, turquoise tassel earrings, navy tassel necklace, chambray cami, broderie midi skirt, white Converse, Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC.

Other ways to wearnavy blazer and dress, chambray cami and jeans, broderie midi skirt in festive outfit, white Converse and dress, Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC with orange.

What I wore:

JacketJeanswest grey jersey blazer
Necklace: thrifted flat peach statement bead necklace
TankCle The Label Amelia tank in indigo
Skirt: thrifted ruffle hem leopard print midi skirt
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bracelets: the usual
Bagthrifted Stella McCartney Falabella fold-over tote in midnight black

Why I wore it:

While this outfit didn't feel as coordinated as the one above, I still loved it! I was so pleased to show off to my stylish colleague that both my Stella McCartney Falabella bag and my leopard print skirt were from the opshop when she complimented them. Sadly she was only in Brisbane for a few days and didn't have time to shop, maybe next time she visits!

I'd planned to wear this grey blazer with the fun leopard print skirt and blue tank, but couldn't decide on a necklace that morning. In the end I went with this orange one for a pop of colour. With the neutral navy tank, grey blazer, black Stella McCartney Falabella bag and black Converse, I think an extra pop of colour was needed with this outfit, even though the skirt makes a statement on its own.

Midi Skirts and Tank Tops With Love Too Bag

I've worn these midi skirts to the office a few times, but decided to wear them with simple tanks for working from home days recently.

What I wore:

Necklace: thrifted chartreuse necklace
Tank: Kmart navy ribbed tank
Skirt: thrifted &Me blue linen button up midi skirt with pockets
Shoes: Kmart tan crossover slides
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff Love Too in deep teal croc embossed leather

Why I wore it:

I really liked all of the blues in this outfit, with the deep teal Rebecca Minkoff Love bag always photographing so navy, and the light blue linen skirt and the navy ribbed tank. I felt like I needed a little extra colour with this when I put it all together though, the thrifted chartreuse necklace was the perfect pop of colour. With it and the tan slides I didn't feel like this outfit was too monochromatic. I really liked it!

Was nice and comfortable for the school run, working from home and having a tradie over at the house in the middle of the day. While the morning was a little chilly it was nice to have bare arms and legs for a bit, it's a lot cooler in Brisbane now than it was when I wore this!

Last worn: navy tank, chartreuse necklace, linen midi skirt, tan slides, Rebecca Minkoff Love Too bag.

Other ways to wearnavy tank and jeans, linen midi skirt in the office, tan slides and dress, Rebecca Minkoff Love Too bag and shorts.

What I wore:

Jacket: Bubblegum denim jacket
Necklace: thrifted flat navy statement bead necklace
Tank: Jeanswest Maji metallic tank in soft green and silver
Skirt: Kmart breeze green broderie anglaise midi skirt
Shoesthrifted white leather Chuck Taylor All Star Converse sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff Love Too in deep teal croc embossed leather

Why I wore it:

I'd planned this outfit in advance, after liking the one above so much! Again it was a plain tank (this silver one I've had for a while and I'm nearly at 30 wears with) and this pretty green broderie anglaise midi skirt. I didn't like this outfit so much last time I wore this skirt, when I wore it with a printed tank, so I knew the simple block colour tank would be something I'd enjoy better.

I added the navy necklace to compliment the deep blue undertone in the Rebecca Minkoff Love Too bag, and Converse are always a practical and comfortable choice. The weather wasn't quite as expected though, it was a lot more autumn like than the day I wore the first outfit, so while it was okay working from home, I ended up adding a denim jacket over this when I was out for the school run and a couple of errands before school pick up and sports in the evening.

Last worn: denim jacket, navy flat bead necklace, silver tank, green broderie midi skirt, white Converse, Rebecca Minkoff Love Too bag (above).

Other ways to weardenim jacket worn 30 ways, silver tank and shorts, green broderie midi skirt with red, white Converse and pencil skirt, Rebecca Minkoff Love Too bag and jeans.

Perfect for pregnancydenim jacket in second trimester.

Printed Tanks and Midi Skirts With 5-Zip Bag

Just like my previous post, sticking to a simple outfit formula and repeating it over again. Unlike the last time I tried this though, I didn't like both of these outfits equally. Both are midi skirt and Converse outfits for work, with printed tanks and my Rebecca Minkoff blue 5-zip bag.

What I wore:

Necklace: silver heart long pendant necklace
Top: Jeanswest Elissa leaf print tank
Skirt: thrifted &Me blue linen button up midi skirt with pockets
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star coast blue
Bracelets: the usual
Bagvintage original Rebecca Minkoff 5-zip in faded electric blue

Why I wore it:

I realised it had been a while since I'd worn this fern print tank so figured I'd better get a wear in before the autumn weather really arrives in Brisbane! With the blue in the fern print, this blue linen button up midi skirt seemed like an obvious pairing. I then added more blue with the Converse and the faded electric blue Rebecca Minkoff 5-Zip bag.

I wanted something light to wear as we had another team lunch at an outdoor restaurant - this was good for the aircon in the office but cool enough to wear outside with the linen fabric.

Last worn: fern print tank, silver heart necklace, button up linen midi skirt, blue Converse, Rebecca Minkoff 5 zip bag.

Other ways to wearfern print tank and jeans, button up linen midi skirt and neutral tank, blue Converse and dress, Rebecca Minkoff 5 zip bag and denim.

What I wore:

Necklace: Tiffany & Co silver 5th Avenue notes heart pendant necklace
Top: Jeanswest Florence print long line tank
Skirt: Kmart breeze green broderie anglaise midi skirt
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in white
Bracelets: the usual
Bagvintage original Rebecca Minkoff 5-zip in faded electric blue

Why I wore it:

This outfit, while the same formula as the outfit above, I didn't like as much. It's a midi skirt and printed tank, again with Converse and the faded electric blue Rebecca Minkoff 5-zip bag. I wasn't sure because of the broderie fabric on the skirt if the printed tank looked too busy with it. While the tank is a neutral with browns and creams in the crosshatch print they are a bit busy together.

I felt it worked enough to give it a try that morning, I just kept wondering through the day if the outfit looked a bit much with the print and the detailed skirt fabric. I think if it had been a plain tank or a plain skirt I would have liked this a bit more. Still, was okay for a day in the office and not every outfit will be one I love.

Last worn: brown printed tank, Tiffany necklace, green broderie midi skirt, white Converse, Rebecca Minkoff 5-zip bag (above).

Other ways to wearbrown printed tank and pencil skirt, green broderie midi skirt in festive outfit, white Converse and dress, Rebecca Minkoff 5-zip bag with red.

Perfect for pregnancybrown printed tank in third trimesterwhite Converse in second trimester.

Blue and Green Midi Skirt Outfits With Floral Bag

Proving again that the rule "blue and green should never be seen" is definitely wrong, wearing two different shades of blue and green in these midi skirt outfits for days in the office recently. Accessorised both with my little hand painted Rebecca Minkoff mini MAB tote bag, statement necklaces, and comfortable converse.

What I wore:

Necklace: Eye Candy LA 'Sasha' statement necklace
Tee: thrifted Cotton On The one crew tee in green
Skirt: thrifted &Me blue linen button up midi skirt with pockets
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in white
Bracelets: the usual
Bag: Mica Bag - Rebecca Minkoff mini MAB side zip tote in pale lilac hand painted by Sheila

Why I wore it:

I thrifted this green tee and the blue button up linen midi skirt in the same opshop trip - I knew I'd have to pair them together! I really like the pale blue lienn skirt with the green of the tee, and couldn't resist adding a littl emore green and blue with my personalised mini MAB tote bag. It was so good in this outfit, and the bag was overdue a wear for sure.

Took advantage of the crew neck of the green tee to wear an old statement necklace that is also overdue another wear! It works best with high necklines like this, and as with the bag, I thought it was a great accessory for this outfit. Such an easy outfit for the office.

Last worn: green tee, statement necklace, blue linen skirt, white Converse, hand painted Rebecca Minkoff mini MAB tote bag.

Other ways to weargreen tee and pencil skirt, blue linen skirt, white Converse and dress, hand painted Rebecca Minkoff mini MAB tote bag and jeans.

Perfect for pregnancyConverse in second trimester.

What I wore:

Necklace: thrifted multi strand multi colour disc bead necklace with tassels
Tee: thrifted Marcs navy lurex detail foil tee
Skirt: Kmart breeze green broderie anglaise midi skirt
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star coast blue
Bracelets: the usual
Bag: Mica Bag - Rebecca Minkoff mini MAB side zip tote in pale lilac hand painted by Sheila

Why I wore it:

Another office day and another green and blue midi skirt outfit! I got this pretty broderie midi skirt from mum for Christmas, and while I loved wearing it in December I find it's easy to wear outside the festive season too! This navy tee was an obvious choice as navy goes with eveything! I liked these two shades of blue and green together just as much as in the outfit above, even those the green is a bit bolder and the blue a lot deeper with the navy. This tee is also an opshop find, and covered in some sparkle thread that sadly never shows up in photos!

Added a little more blue with the blue Converse and this multi strand tassel necklace that added a touch more colour against the navy backdrop of the tee. Couldn't resist wearing this mini MAB tote bag again, with the blue florals and green leaves in the illustration Sheila made it works perfectly with green and blue outfits like this!

Last worn: navy tee, statement tassel necklace, green broderie midi skirt, blue Converse, Rebecca Minkoff mini MAB tote bag (above).

Other ways to wearnavy tee and maxi skirt, green broderie midi skirt and festive outfit, blue Converse and dress, Rebecca Minkoff mini MAB tote bag and stripes.

Office Outfits With Newly Opshopped Pieces

Making the most of my recently thrifted pieces I picked up at the opshop earlier this month, and wearing them into the office.

What I wore:

Tee: thrifted Cotton On The one crew tee in green
Skirt: Target textured silver pencil skirt
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bracelets: the usual plus thrifted cream resin bangle duo set and Polka Luka teal resin bangle
Bagthrifted Stella McCartney Falabella fold-over tote in midnight black

Why I wore it:

This green tee is so soft! Knew it was a must-buy when I stumbled across it in the opshop. I have a lot of Cotton On tees, although this is my first green one, and I really like them! I kept it simple for its first wear, wearing it with this grey textured pencil skirt mum got me for Christmas and my thrifted Stella McCartney Falabella bag. It's such a great skirt for an office day.

Couldn't decide what necklace to wear with this. The chains on the Falabella make enough of a statement, so I decided to go with a couple chunky bangles on my arm, and I added this teal resin bracelet to the cream resin bangle duo I thrifted. Even though the shade of green on the bangle is different from the green tee, I really liked these together. Wore my comfortable Converse for the commute and because I had a couple of errands to run after picking up the kids from school.

Last worn: textured pencil skirt, teal resin bangle, black Converse, Stella McCartney Falabella bag. First time I've worn the white resin bracelets and the green tee as they are recent purchases.

Other ways to weartextured pencil skirt with black, black Converse and shorts, Stella McCartney Falabella bag and maxi skirt.

Perfect for pregnancyConverse in second trimester.

What I wore:

Necklace: thrifted burgundy and cream beaded statement necklace (new purchase)
Tank: Jeanswest Florence print long line tank
Skirt: thrifted &Me blue linen button up midi skirt with pockets (new purchase)
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star coast blue
Bracelets: the usual plus wooden bead bracelet set
BagChloe small Paraty bag in wine purple

Why I wore it:

This is an outfit I had an idea would work and then I was in a rush to get to the office so threw all the pieces on without really thinking. Not sure it worked as well as I liked, but it did certainly keep me cool and comfortable for a very humid day at work with a delicious team lunch outdoors.

With this blue linen button up midi skirt I thought the brown printed tank would be a great pairing, both featuring button detail and the criss-cross print on the tank being similar to the linen pattern on the skirt. The burgundy and cream beaded necklace could have been swapped out for something smaller and I think I would have liked it more, it was just a very busy outfit with this all together. I liked the way the darker burgundy beads worked with the deep purple small Chloe Paraty bag though, that was a nice pairing.

Last worn: brown printed tank, blue Converse, Chloe purple Paraty bag. First time I've worn the necklace and linen midi skirt as they are recent opshop purchases.

Other ways to wearbrown printed tank and blazer, blue Converse and dress, Chloe purple Paraty bag and jeans

Perfect for pregnancyprinted tank in third trimester.

Green And Blue Office Outfits With Converse and 5-Zip Bag

Two different office outfits, both featuring green and blue with my vintage faded electric blue Rebecca Minkoff 5-zip bag I got for Christmas.

What I wore:

Earrings: DIY green and red marble clay circle earrings
Necklace: thrifted wooden geometric bead necklace
Tee: black textured crew neck tee
Skirt: Kmart breeze green broderie anglaise midi skirt
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bracelets: the usual
Bagvintage original Rebecca Minkoff 5-zip in faded electric blue

Why I wore it:

Making this green Kmart broderie anglaise midi skirt work outside of December by pairing it with a simple black textured tee for the office. The red and green earrings were a Christmas set I made but I thought that the black tee and matching black Converse played down the Christmas theme enough. I really like this green skirt and I'm excited to wear it year round to get the most out of this Christmas present.

Green and blue is a combination I've been enjoying more lately, so this electric blue Rebecca Minkoff 5 zip bag seemed like an obvious choice with this pretty green skirt. The chunky geometric necklace was the obvious choice as it has both blue and green in it too. I really liked this outfit, it was great for a quiet day in the office.

Last worn: black textured teegeometric necklace, green midi skirt, Converse, Rebecca Minkoff electric blue 5 zip bag. First time I've worn the earrings as I made them over Christmas.

Other ways to wearblack textured tee, green midi skirt with red, Converse and dress, Rebecca Minkoff electric blue 5 zip bag and shorts.

Perfect for pregnancyConverse in second trimester.

What I wore:

Necklace: Tiffany & Co silver 5th Avenue notes heart pendant necklace
Dress: Kmart teal floral print midi dress
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star coast blue
Bagvintage original Rebecca Minkoff 5-zip in faded electric blue

Why I wore it:

This is a slightly different way to do green and blue. Again I wore my electric blue 5 zip bag, and this time I wore my blue Converse sneakers. I thought the blue accessories worked well with the teal background of this floral print dress. Not the first time I've worn this teal dress with blues, I really like the combination, so it's something I repeat often.

This is such a good dress for the office. While it's a light viscose the long sleeves and midi length help stop me from feeling too cold in the office aricon.

Navy Tee And Leopard Print Skirt Office Outfits

I have been loving leopard lately, and so I got my leopard print skirts out again for some summer office days. Both of these leopard skirts I paired with navy tees, comfortable Converse and my Louis Vuitton Neverfull tote bag.

What I wore:

Necklace: gold beaded statement multi strand necklace
Tee: Jeanswest Ruby frill sleeve Ric Rac detailed tee in deep iris
Skirt: thrifted ruffle hem leopard print midi skirt
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bracelets: the usual
BagLouis Vuitton MM damier azur Neverfull

Why I wore it:

I decided to wear this navy frill sleeve tee with the leopard print skirt, the navy is a great neutral against the print and surprisingly I hadn't worn navy with this skirt yet. And to showcase the pretty frill sleeve detail on the tee, I didn't add a blazer. Without a blazer, I did try dress this up a little more for the office with the big statement necklace. This gold multi-strand necklace was an opshop find, just like the skirt.

Comfortable Converse for the commute and walking around the office, and my big Louis Vuitton neverfull tote for carrying a few extra things along with my essentials for work. As it was back in December that I wore this, I did a little Christmas shopping in my lunch break!

Last worn: gold statement necklace, navy frill sleeve tee, leopard print midi skirt, Converse, Louis Vuitton Neverfull.

Other ways to wearnavy frill sleeve tee and shorts, leopard print midi skirt with black, Converse and jeansLouis Vuitton Neverfull tote bag worn 30 ways.

Perfect for pregnancyConverse in second trimesterLouis Vuitton Neverfull tote bag in third trimester.

30 Ways To Wear: Louis Vuitton Damier Azur Neverfull

What I wore:

Jacket: Jeanswest Nadine 3/4 sleeve dusky pink blazer
EarringsMichael Hill stud earrings with aqua cubic zirconia in sterling silver
Necklace: thrifted Eb&Ive turquoise wooden bead multi strand statement necklace
Tee: thrifted Marcs navy lurex detail foil tee
Skirt: Target animal print ruffle hem mini skirt
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star coast blue
Bracelets: the usual
BagLouis Vuitton MM damier azur Neverfull

Why I wore it:

Unlike the outfit above, I decided to add a blazer with this. I felt that even with the big statement necklace, this shorter leopard print skirt and navy tee was a little too casual for the day I had ahead of me in the office, so it needed the blush blazer. I really like blue and pink together and this blush pink works well with the navy tee and the turquoise multi-strand necklace.

I'm always a little sad the cute lurex detail thread on this tee never shows up in photos - it makes it feel so special when you see it in person! Again I went with Converse, blue ones this time to coordinate with the beaded necklace. And while I didn't need to carry too many extra things with me on this day I wore my Louis Vuitton Neverfull again as it's a good office bag!

Last worn: turquoise multi strand necklace, earrings, blush blazer, lurex navy tee, leopard print skirt, Converse, Louis Vuitton Neverfull (above).
