We had some Easter celebrations at work on Thursday, before the public holiday on Friday. That meant casual dress, so I had the chance to wear something super comfortable to the office. Despite being a little worried initially, I saw someone else in the office later in shorts, so I wasn't the most casually dressed person there. Usually when our area has dress down days when others might not I put a bit of effort in to not look too casual, but Thursday I just wanted to be comfortable!
We were encouraged to wear something to match with the Easter theme of the day so pastel singlet and bag seemed like a good choice, with the addition of a scarf for warmth in the morning. One guy dressed up in an Easter bunny onesie, and a few people wore bunny ears! Spent a bit of the day getting messy with egg decorating and taking part in the competitions too. It was a fun and relaxing end to the day before the long weekend.
Last worn: Marc by Marc Jacobs print scarf, lilac singlet, striped maxi skirt, Wittner black flats, Marc by Marc Jacobs Hillier Hobo bag.
Here's what I wore to today:
Necklace: Roie Designs feather, quartz and love charm long necklace
Tee: Jeanswest 'Lucy' colourblock tee in grey marle/rosebud
Shorts: Jeanswest maternity rolled up shorts
Shoes: black slim Havaianas thongs
Bracelets: the usual
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff metallic silver mini MAC
Good Friday, and the first day of our long weekend! Another casual outfit as we didn't get up to very much, spent some more time preparing the house and nursery for baby's arrival. I did a lot of relaxing and lazing around too, haha! I'm being mindful of enjoying the time off and not pushing myself too much. Shorts and a tee was comfortable and perfect. These maternity shorts have been worn a lot more than I thought they would. The maternity tights I just 'had' to buy are still sitting unopened!
Wore this tee over my others as it has the fun pink panel on the back - supporting Renae from Simple Sequins with her Pink Friday as she faces cancer treatment.
Last worn: colour block tee, maternity denim shorts, Havaianas, Rebecca Minkoff silver mini MAC.
Linking up with Fashion Item Friday, Friday's Fab Favourites, Casual Friday Linkup today.
Mica, I love that first outfit. The gorgeous scarf plays off with the lavender of the tank. What a fun print. You always look so effortless, beach-cool during your pregnancy. Both Bags in both Outfits are fantastic too, as is usually the case with your bags. =)
ReplyDeleteThanks for wishing my mum a Happy Birthday. Enjoy the weekend, Ada. =)
You are just beyond adorable in maxis! I really like your shorts too. I still need to find the perfect pair!
ReplyDeleteThey are worth the hunt when you find them! These are really comfy, have worn them a lot more than I expected :)
DeleteOh sweet Mica! Thanks so much for the PINK support and your sweet attitude of support in my decision to not have the ct scan the day before the chemo starts. You made my heart sing when I read your supportive comments. And thanks for always joining "FiF" each week. I love it!!! Oh, and my gosh, I love each of these purses today!! Wow, I love your love for purses, you have inspired me to be much more creative in my ensembles by simply adding a purse/bag/satchel/clutch or whatever it is called at the time. LOL ♥, Renae
ReplyDeleteThank you Renae! I'm happy to support you in your journey, and it's fun to link up each week :)
DeleteOooh, your Easter themed outfit in the first look is perfect :)

DeleteWhy are your bags always so heavenly? Your work sounds like a fun place to work. I love that it's so casual and people can be a bit wild with their dress-up. I love workplaces that encourage humour and a relaxed atmosphere. Your place sounds perfect. Dress-up is definitely my thing!
ReplyDeleteThanks for reading through what was quite a deep post on my blog and leaving a comment. It's an absolute tragedy and I think everyone is wishing for the best outcome. Rosemary x
