Jacket: Just Jeans paisley print kimono jacket
Necklace: House of Harlow sunburst necklace in silver and grey
Top: Jeanswest brown marle singlet
Skirt: Jeanswest plain jersey black maxi skirt
Shoes: Acne pistol boots in "skin"
Bracelets: the usual
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff coated canvas mini MAC in berry stripe
The weather really cooled off this weekend. Had planned to wear just this singlet and maybe a scarf, but it was so cold Saturday morning I needed a jacket and boots. Although I did end up going sock-less in the boots to be sure that my swollen feet would still be able to fit in them at the end of the day, haha! Had my hair cut on Saturday, had been needing to do so for a while but I'd just kept forgetting to make an appointment. Baby brain at its worst!
I've often thought about and tried to pair this kimono with maxi skirts and dresses before, but it just seemed like a little too much volume. I tried it on and really liked it this time around though. Maybe because the baby bump sticks out so much so it doesn't look like I'm drowning in fabric.
Last worn: paisley kimono, tank, black maxi skirt, Acne Pistol boots, Rebecca Minkoff stripe mini MAC.
Here's what I wore today:
Scarf: Alexander McQueen red skull-print modal and cashmere-blend scarf
Top: Topshop grey knitted scoop neck top
Skirt: Target black and white striped maxi skirt
Shoes: Converse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bracelets: the usual
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff coated canvas mini MAC in berry stripe
Was hoping to get a nice photo of my new haircut today but the wind had other plans in mind! At least in this shot my hair wasn't over my face ;) Not a drastic change anyway, just cutting a bit off the ends, a little more than usual as I'd left it so long between trims.
This outfit was good - kept me cosy and comfortable for running errands, going out for lunch, having family over, and working at Church Online. Wasn't brave enough to wear my usual weekend shoe choice of thongs (flip flops) as it was so cold, so I went with converse to keep my feet warm. I really liked converse with this skirt last time I wore it too. Now I'm wearing maxi skirts more I'm finding I can pair them with any types of shoes - not just sandals. They look great with flats, boots and converse!
That's one of the fun things about this pregnancy - I'm trying new things as I dress to accommodate the growing bump. Thank you for following and reading along, your support and suggestions and improvement ideas are so helpful. :)
Last worn: Alexander McQueen skull scarf, Topshop grey knit, striped maxi skirt, black converse, Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC (see above).
Linking up with Sunday Style, Mix It Mondays, Manic Monday, Real Mom Style today.
The more I see that bag...the more I want it! Great looks :)

maxi skirts look particularly good with your bump! you're probably right about the volume minus bump, i've often thought the same thing about flowy tops and maxi skirts. and haha - baby brain - first time i've heard that!
ReplyDeletesteph / absolutely-fuzzy.com
Our midwife was explaining the science behind baby brain the other week - haha! So fascinating. And I feel less silly for forgetting things now! :) Maxi skirts are so comfortable, I'm glad they look good :)
