Printed Dresses and Blazers And LV Neverfull | Weekday Wear Link Up

For today's Weekday Wear Link Up I'm sharing two printed dresses and blazer outfits that I wore to the office recently.

What I wore:

Earrings: Piper gold heart earrings
Jacket
Jeanswest grey jersey blazer
Necklace: personalised gold children's names charm necklace
DressJaase Celine autumn leaves mini dress
ShoesAtmos&Here tan Lola leather ankle boots
Bracelets: the usual
BagLouis Vuitton MM damier azur Neverfull

Why I wore it:

I wouldn't have normally have reached for this dress for a day in the office - it is a little casual, but I felt the ankle boots and the grey blazer dressed it up enough for a quiet day. And I wanted something that would be suitable for a day at work and an evening out, as after work I headed out to a graduation evening for a family member. Needed the big Louis Vuitton Neverfull to pack with everything for the day and the evening. It was so much fun, although a very late night for the kids, it was so good to celebrate the graduation.

I think this blazer was the perfect topper over this dress to make it more office-ready. The longer length was really good with the ruffle hem of the dress.

Last worn: heart studs, grey jersey blazer, charm necklace, Jaase dress, ankle boots, Louis Vuitton Neverfull.

Other ways to weargrey jersey blazer and jeans, Jaase dress and denim jacket, ankle boots and midi dressLouis Vuitton MM Neverfull worn 30 ways.

Perfect for pregnancyLouis Vuitton Neverfull at 38 weeks.

What I wore:

Jacket: thrifted Valleygirl navy jersey blazer
NecklaceTiffany & Co pink double heart tag pendant necklace
Dress: Kmart teal floral print midi dress
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star coast blue
Bracelets: the usual
BagLouis Vuitton MM damier azur Neverfull

Why I wore it:

This dress, unlike the one above, has been worn to the office many times. It's such a good office dress as it's super comfortable and the teal colour goes with all my blazers. I liked this navy blazer with the teal background of the dress, and how the white gingham on the cuffs matched the white in the floral print. Needed comfortable shoes after aggravating my knee injury the prior weekend, so went with these blue Converse. I think the different shades of blue with the blazer, dress, Chucks and damier Azur print of the Neverfull all worked well together.

Last worn: navy blazer, Tiffany heart necklace, Kmart teal floral midi dress, blue Converse, Louis Vuitton Neverfull (above).

Other ways to wearnavy blazer and pencil skirt, Kmart teal floral midi dress, blue Converse and shortsLouis Vuitton MM Neverfull worn 30 ways.

Perfect for pregnancyLouis Vuitton MM Neverfull in third trimester.

Black Tanks, Printed Skirts and Blazers | Weekday Wear Link Up

For today's Weekday Wear Link up, sharing two times I wore a midi skirt and black tank outfit formula with blazers over the top for the office.

What I wore:

Chloe small Ethel bag in light khaki

JacketJeanswest grey jersey blazer
Necklace: thrifted chartreuse necklace (new purchase)
Tank: Kmart linen blend textured black tank
Skirt: thrifted Ghanda midi slink skirt in green mini blossom
ShoesMarc by Marc Jacobs black logo plaque ballet flats
Bracelets: the usual
BagChloe small Ethel bag in light khaki

Why I wore it:

Last time I wore this green daisy print midi skirt to the office I worried the side slit was a bit too high. I saw the skirt hanging in my wardrobe and felt it was due another wear, and when I tried it on I wondered why I felt it was too high for the office, the length seems to cancel out the slightly higher slit. I quickly realised when I got to the office though, that the slit does expose quite a bit of leg when you sit down, and that was my main issue with it last time I wore it. Ended up tugging at the skirt all day, not the best choice of outfit. I did really like how this looked, just made me a bit self conscious in the office when anyone stopped by my desk.

With the neutral black tank and the grey blazer, the neon chartreuse necklace added needed pop of colour, and the light khaki small Chloe Ethel bag added some more lightness to the outfit too.

Last worn: grey jersey blazer, black linen blend tank, green print midi skirt, black ballet flats, Chloe small Ethel bag. First time I've worn the chartreuse necklace as it's a recent opshop buy.

Other ways to weargrey jersey blazer and dress, black linen blend tank and leopard print, green print midi skirt and band tee, black ballet flats and jeans, Chloe small Ethel bag and maxi skirt.

What I wore:

Chloe small Ethel bag in light khaki

Jacketthrifted Zara black blazer
Necklace: thrifted pastel pink and wooden hexagon bead necklace
Top: lace bib black swing tank from mum's wardrobe
SkirtCotton On 'Mica' mesh spot skirt in dusty pink
Shoes:  Converse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bracelets: the usual
BagChloe small Ethel bag in light khaki

Why I wore it:

Since I liked the outfit formula above (in theory, although not so much in practice!) I copied it again for another office day. I wore my comfortable Converse sneakers this time instead of the ballet flats, and again it was another midi skirt and a black tank outfit. I liked the lace detail of this tank with the mesh polka dot layer of the midi skirt, it was a nice texture combination, and it lifted the outfit a little with all the black of the black blazer and tank together.

This skirt is an old favourite that I saw in a magazine back in the days I used to read magazines and had to buy it - it is the Mica skirt after all! Surprisingly I haven't hit 30 wears on it yet, I'll need to wear it more often! I liked the blush necklace with it, although the skirt is more of a peachy pink I thought the shades worked nicely together with the black tank in between.

Last worn: black jersey blazer, black lace tank, statement necklace, polka dot pencil skirt, Converse, Chloe small Ethel bag (above).

Other ways to wearblack jersey blazer and floral dress, black lace tank with red, polka dot pencil skirt and berry top, Converse and shorts, Chloe small Ethel bag and striped dress.

Pink and Blazers For The Office | Weekday Wear Link Up

My office wear posts will start to become a regular fixture now I'm increasing the number of days I'm in the office! Still trying a few different outfit formulas for work, it's a strange mix at the moment in terms of what people are wearing. I feel I have even more flexibility than I did with the already very casual business casual dress code before 2020! Adding a blazer to these outfits made them feel perfect for a day at my desk.

What I wore:

JacketJeanswest grey jersey blazer
NecklaceTiffany diamonds by the yard necklace
Dress: thrifted no label pastel floral print babydoll dress
ShoesAsos Cleo leather boots in tan
Bracelets: the usual
Bagthrifted Rebecca Minkoff vintage Cupid satchel in dark navy blue

Why I wore it:

I could not resist this $1 dress on the rack at the opshop - such a cute pastel pink and peach floral print! It doesn't have a brand label so not sure where it was made, but it is a beautiful light viscose and I know it will get a lot of wear, especially in the warmer months. I made it more suitable for a winter office commute with a slip underneath, fleece-lined tights, tall boots and as it was a warmer morning, just a blazer over the top. I felt it helped make this casual baby doll floral dress more office ready.

Buttoning it all the way up and tying the neck tie helped make the dress look a little less casual too.

Last worn: grey blazer, Tiffany necklace, tan leather boots, Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag. First time I've worn the dress as it was a recent purchase.

Other ways to weargrey blazer and jeanstan leather boots worn 30 ways, Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag and leopard print.

What I wore:

Jacket: thrifted Valleygirl navy jersey blazer
Necklace: thrifted flat navy statement bead necklace
TeeCle The Label Charlotte tee in ombre rose (new purchase)
SkirtWarehouse navy jacquard pencil skirt
Shoes: RMK Chester black ankle boots
Bracelets: the usual
Bagthrifted Rebecca Minkoff vintage Cupid satchel in dark navy blue

Why I wore it:

Another newly purchased pink piece worn to the office! It was a good first wearing of this tee, it's very comfortable. I thought that with the navy background on this jacquard pencil skirt that the navy blazer was the perfect match, although with the black fleece lined tights and black ankle boots, with the dark navy Cupid bag as well it made for a really dull outfit. The pink ombre tee brightened it up nicely, especially after I added to the matchy-matchy neutrals of this outfit with the navy beaded necklace too.

Pencil skirts used to be such a staple of my office style, but I haven't really been wearing them too much lately. I think they might get more wear when spring weather arrives, but I've already been looking at the pencil skirts in my wardrobe and considering downsizing.

Last worn: navy blazer, navy flat beaded necklace, jacquard pencil skirt, black ankle boots, Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag (above). First time I've worn the ombre tee as it's a recent purchase.

Other ways to wearnavy blazer and dress, jacquard pencil skirt with greenankle boots worn 30 ways, Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag and jeans.

Navy Stripe Shift Dresses, Boots and Suede Maxi Edie Crossbody Bag | Weekday Wear Link Up

For today's Weekday Wear Link Up, getting out my long sleeved navy stripe dresses again and layering them up a little for the cooler weather. Accessorising both outfits with my latest bag buy, this preloved Rebecca Minkoff maxi Edie crossbody.

What I wore:

Rebecca Minkoff quilted maxi Edie crossbody in Porcini brown suede

JacketWitchery black belted moto leather jacket
Necklace: Gold beaded statement multi strand necklace
Dress: thrifted Kmart white and navy long sleeve stripe tee dress
ShoesAsos Cleo leather boots in tan
BagRebecca Minkoff quilted maxi Edie crossbody in Porcini brown suede

Why I wore it:

It was another really cold morning when I wore this for the school run and working from home. I'd planned to wear this white striped tee dress with sneakers, but realised that morning I needed extra layers, so added this Witchery leather jacket (a recent Gladrags market find) and my tall leather boots to try keep me cosy. Also went big on the accessories for a bit of fun, with this chunky gold statement necklace matching the chunky chain on the Rebecca Minkoff suede maxi Edie bag well in terms of chunkiness. Even if they are different shades of gold I thought they complimented each other nicely.

Last worn: Witchery belted leather jacket, white and navy striped shift dress, tall leather boots. First time I've worn the gold statement necklace and Rebecca Minkoff suede maxi Edie bag as they are recent purchases.

Other ways to wearWitchery belted leather jacket and skirt, white and navy striped shift dress with pinktall leather boots worn 30 ways.

Necklace: Red multi strand beaded statement necklace
DressAtmos&Here navy stripe tee dress
Shoes: RMK Chester black ankle boots
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff quilted maxi Edie crossbody in Porcini brown suede

Why I wore it:

Same outfit formula with the statement necklace, boots, and a navy striped shift dress, I just wore this into the office. Finally caved and pulled out my fleece tights for a cold winter morning! With them and my ankle boots I felt warm enough with just a grey blazer on top. The blazer made the outfit feel a little more office friendly. I liked the pop of red from the necklace with the neutral grey and navy too.

Again I wore my suede maxi Edie bag, I love it! Even though I don't need to carry much to work I've been enjoying wearing this new-to-me bag lately.

Printed Tanks, Blazers and Skinny Jeans For The Office | Weekday Wear Link Up

For today's Weekday Wear Link Up I'm sharing another two office outfits I wore recently, with skinny jeans and blazers. Both feature a little touch of orange too, and my classic neutral Chloe Marcie shoulder bag.

What I wore:

Jacket: Glassons orange jersey blazer
NecklaceRoie Designs coral beaded tassel necklace
Tank: Jeanswest Rowena print tank
Jeans: thrifted Jeanswest faded black cropped butt lifter jeans
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
BagChloe Marcie medium shoulder bag in nut

Why I wore it:

With this brown printed tank and the faded black skinny jeans, this was a pretty dark outfit. The orange blazer was the perfect pop of colour with it to brighten it up a bit, and make this tank more office appropriate by covering up my shoulders. While the peach in the necklace doesn't match the orange blazer at all I thought they looked nice together, and it was another way to introduce a bit more lightness to my outfit.

The Chloe Marcie bag wasn't really needed - I don't carry much to the office other than the essentials, and I have a work issued laptop bag for my laptop, so I usually take smaller bags to the office. But I'd used this bag the day before and it was easier to use it again than swap out all my things into a new bag.

Last worn: orange blazer, beaded tassel necklace, printed tank, faded black skinny jeans, Converse, Chloe Marcie shoulder bag.

Other ways to wearorange blazer and skirt, printed tank with green, faded black skinny jeans and knit, Converse and dress, Chloe Marcie shoulder bag and maxi skirt.

Chloe Marcie Hobo Bag Review:

What I wore:

Jacket: Jeanswest Nadine 3/4 sleeve dusky pink blazer
Necklace: thrifted flat peach statement bead necklace
Tank: Kmart navy bird print peplum frill hem tank
Jeans: Dannii Minogue denim high waist skinny jean in ecru
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in white
Bracelets: the usual
BagChloe Marcie medium shoulder bag in nut

Why I wore it:

Thankfully it wasn't yet too cold when I wore this outfit - it was before the record breaking cold we had in Brisbane. So cropped jeans and a 3/4 sleeve blazer were perfect for the temps.

Again, I really liked the blazer and jeans combination. This one is more colourful than the first outfit, with the bright printed peplum tank and the blush blazer. Surprisingly I haven't tried the blazer and tank together before, despite the matching blush in the bird print! I really liked the combination.

Couldn't quite decide on a necklace with this, in the end I decided to go for a pop of colour and added this little peach one I thrifted earlier this year. Orange is such a cheerful colour to add into an outfit.

Last worn: blush blazer, bird print peplum tank, peach necklace, white skinny jeans, Converse, Chloe Marcie shoulder bag (above).

Other ways to wearblush blazer worn 2 ways, bird print peplum tank and skirt, white skinny jeans and sequins, Converse and pink dress, Chloe Marcie shoulder bag and maxi dress.

Navy Dresses, Blazers and Chloe Paddington Bags For The Office | Weekday Wear Link Up

While winter is just a few days away in Brisbane, I still have a few more autumn outfits to share, including these printed dress, blazer and boots outfits I wore to the office recently. While the commute was cold, it warmed up during the day, perfect autumn Brisbane weather.

I accessorised both of these outfits with my vintage Chloe Paddington bags. I felt they were overdue a wear, and while the style first came out 17 years ago (and both these bags were made in 2006), I still love the oversized statement they make.

What I wore:

navy blazer and tile print dress with small cream chloe paddington bag | awayfromblue

navy tile print dress, Chloe small Paddington in 2006 blanc | awayfromtheblue

Earrings: Piper gold and turquoise disc dangle earring
Jacket: thrifted Valleygirl navy jersey blazer
Dress: Jeanswest 'Chelsea' printed dress
ShoesAtmos&Here tan Lola leather ankle boots
Bracelets: the usual
BagChloe small Paddington in 2006 blanc

Why I wore it:

I like wearing this tile print dress with blue, but hadn't yet worn it with this navy blazer! it makes an easy outfit for work. And I like the little print mixing from the gingham lining you can see with the sleeves rolled up slightly.

Added ankle boots instead of my usual go-to Converse for the office as it was a cooler morning. it did warm up later though, didn't even need the blazer for the commute home.

The tassels on the neckline of this dress meant I skipped a necklace and wore these pretty statement earrings instead. And the gold in them matched so nicely with the big gold hardware on my little Chloe Paddington bag.

Last worn: navy blazer, gold earrings, navy print dress, tan ankle boots, small cream Chloe Paddington bag.

Other ways to wearnavy blazer with pink, navy print dress and scarf, tan ankle boots and maxi dress, small cream Chloe Paddington bag and jeans.

Perfect for pregnancynavy print dress in second trimester.

My Chloe Handbag Collection:

What I wore:

orange blazer, floral dress and Chloe Paddington in 2007 Brun | awayfromtheblue

Jacket: Glassons orange jersey blazer
Necklace: thrifted yellow beaded statement pendant long necklace
DressShein navy flower print flowy dress (c/o)
ShoesAsos Cleo leather boots in tan
Bracelets: the usual
BagChloe Paddington in 2007 Brun

Why I wore it:

Another printed dress and blazer combination - but with taller boots this time, and a slip under the dress, as it was a particularly chilly morning on the way into the office! Need my blazer for the commute home this time too. I like the red floral print in this dress, and how it goes so nicely with the orange blazer. I added another little bit of bright colour with this beaded yellow necklace I thrifted recently.

While the tan tall boots don't match the deep dark brown of the Chloe Paddington bag, I liked the two shades of brown with the floral print and orange, they were good neutrals.

Last worn: orange blazer, yellow necklace, floral swing dress, tall tan boots, Chloe Brun Paddington bag.

Other ways to wearorange blazer and pencil skirt, floral swing dress and leather jacket, tall tan boots ans sundress, Chloe Brun Paddington bag and jeans.

Blazers Worn 2 Ways For Magnificent 8

This quarter's Magnificent 8 theme is blazers! Which is perfect timing for me, as I've been in the office more often, and as the autumn weather has finally started to arrive in Brisbane, I've been wearing my blazers more!

What I wore:

double denim office outfit blush blazer white jeans chambray cami edie shoulder bag | awayfromblue

blush blazer with Rebecca Minkoff Edie regular shoulder bag in Luna blue | awayfromblue

Jacket: Jeanswest Nadine 3/4 sleeve dusky pink blazer
Necklace: thrifted metallic clay bead necklace
Top: thrifted no label chambray tie strap cami
Jeans: Dannii Minogue denim high waist skinny jean in ecru
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in white
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff Edie regular shoulder bag in Luna blue

Why I wore it:

My favourite way to wear a blazer is to pair it with jeans, and so I was really happy it was a cool enough morning to wear this outfit! My mum gave me these white jeans for Christmas. I'd been looking for white jeans for a while and tried on so many pairs, but when I saw these cropped Dannii Minogue ones at Target I knew I'd found the perfect pair. Mum bought me for me and I've been patiently waiting for the weather to be cool enough to wear them.

My office was on the casual end of business casual, even before the pandemic, so a bit of double denim on a weekday with this chambray cami was perfect. Especially with the blush blazer to make it just a little more formal. I really liked the lighter colours of this outfit, and how I managed to keep the white jeans clean for the whole day!

Last worn: blush blazer, chambray cami, white Converse, Rebecca Minkoff Edie shoulder bag. It's the first time I've worn the white jeans as they were a Christmas gift, and the first time I've worn the necklace as it was a recent opshop find.

Other ways to wearblush blazer worn two ways, chambray cami and denim skirt, white Converse and dress, Rebecca Minkoff Edie shoulder bag with fuchsia dress.

Perfect for pregnancy: blush blazer in third trimesterwhite Converse in second trimester.

What I wore:

kmart soft printed culotte shorts with jersey blazer navy tee converse | awayfromblue

Rebecca Minkoff MAB crossbody with studs in desert rose | awayfromblue

JacketJeanswest grey jersey blazer
Necklace: thrifted flat peach statement bead necklace
TeeAtmos & Here Avery marle tee in navy
Shorts: thrifted Kmart pastel soft culotte shorts in floral print
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff MAB crossbody with studs in desert rose

Why I wore it:

I like blazers and shorts too, although I definitely don't get to wear that combination as often as I do with blazers and jeans, as the weather has to be just right for it. It was an overcast day and a cooler morning so I thought it was the perfect time to try this combination again! I really liked the pastel blue culotte shorts with the grey blazer. The navy tee was the perfect piece in between the similar tones, although I do wish it hadn't come partially untucked for the photos! The peach necklace, a recently thrifted find, I thought matched with the print on the culottes well, as did the dusty pink of the Rebecca Minkoff studded MAB crossbody bag

I really liked all the colours in this outfit and the pieces together, although I was a little disappointed when I had to shed the blazer when the sun came out and the humidity rose. The blazer definitely wasn't needed for the school pick up in the afternoon!

Last worn: grey jersey blazer, navy tee, printed culotte shorts, black Converse, Rebecca Minkoff studded MAB crossbody bag. First time I've worn the necklace as it was a recent opshop find.

Other ways to weargrey jersey blazer and dress, navy tee and jeans, printed culotte shorts and cardigan, black Converse and maxi skirt, Rebecca Minkoff studded MAB crossbody bag and skirt.

Perfect for pregnancy: Converse in second trimester.
