Leopard Print Cardigans, Pink Tees and Jeans

Two similar outfits, with thrifted leopard print cardigans, pink tees, black skinny jeans and Converse for some recent working from home days.

Why I wore it:

First time I've worn this cardigan on the blog. it was a very lucky opshop find! I'm always on the hunt for cute cardigans and I've been really lucky recently with finding them! This one is a nice addition to my wardrobe, and I like pink and leopard print together so this ombre pink tee seemed like an obvious choice. I went matchy-matchy with the pink Converse, although it's a different shade of pink from the tee I liked the two pinks together, and I added the purple necklace for a little more colour.

Nice casual outfit for a vet appointment, the school run, and working from home.


Last worn: pearl earrings, ombre pink tee, black skinny jeans, pink Converse, Mimco Mim-Mazing crossbody bag. First time I've worn the cardigan as it's a recent opshop purchase, and first time I've worn the necklace as I recently made it.

Why I wore it:

Since I liked the outfit above so much, I repeated the formula again with different pieces. I wore black Converse this time, matching the black skinny jeans and the black background on this black and white leopard print cardigan. like the cardigan in the first outfit, this was also an opshop find! It's nice to have some printed cardigans to add a little extra interest to block colour tees like this pink one in winter. Again I went with a darker bag, this Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag. I was working from home, did the school run, and also had a physio appointment, so this Cupid bag was perfect for fitting all my essentials plus my latest library read.

Kmart Tiered Maxi Dresses, Leather Jackets And Rebecca Minkoff Love Bags

Adding some colour to winter office outfits with these block colour Kmart Anko tiered midi dresses, scarves and leather jackets. Both of these outfits I was wearing one of my Rebecca Minkoff Love bags.

What I wore:

Why I wore it:

This was a very cold winter day, back in July. I needed all the layers to stay cosy! With this amber tiered midi dress, I often wear a lot of printed scarves. No chance of clashing as the dress has no print, and the block amber colour is a nice backdrop to show off a printed scarf. I liked this grey and white mixed print scarf, it was a cosy addition to my outfit for the winter commute and looked good in the office too.

The Adidas Superstar sneakers probably should have been swapped out for boots to keep me even warmer, but they were comfortable even if my ankles got a little chilly. 

With the orange dress adding so much colour to the outfit, I added a neutral bag to go with the grey scarf and black leather jacket and neutral shoes, this Rebecca Minkoff quilted Love bag.

Why I wore it:

Another day in the office, another Kmart tiered midi dress! I have 3 of these dresses and I love how comfortable and colourful they are! Unlike the outfit above, I went a little more colourful with the accessories with this.

I added the pink Converse, although they aren't the same shade of pink as the fuchsia tiered dress I liked the two pinks together. The purple checked scarf is super warm, and added more colour. So did the deep teal Rebecca Minkoff croc embossed Love Too bag. I went with a neutral jacket topper though, again adding a black leather jacket to keep me warm on the cold morning commute.

Red Maxi Skirt and Tee Outfits With Chloe Ethel Bag

Two colourful maxi skirt and tee outfits with leather jackets for some working from home days with appointments to attend. I like wearing maxi skirts in warmer weather, but also enjoy layering them up for winter.

What I wore:

Why I wore it:

I've been wearing a lot of jeans lately so I decided to pull out some of my maxi skirts! This one is so good to wear with plain tees like this recently thrifted red one. I really like the print with block colour tees, although this is the first time I've worn it with red.

Added the brown and khaki Chloe Ethel bag as I felt it complimented the colours in the print of the skirt well, and because it fit all my essentials plus my latest library book read for waiting for a dentist appointment after work and school pickup. As it was a cold winter day, I layered up with the Witchery leather jacket to keep warm.

Why I wore it:

Another appointment during the day while working from home - physio this time - meant I wore my Chloe Ethel bag again to fit in another book. This outfit is similar to the one above as it's the same bag, a maxi skirt and tee, with a lot of red, but it's got a grey tee instead and an unprinted red maxi skirt. Both the maxi skirt and the grey tee are opshop finds, and I liked wearing them together. As in the outfit above, I needed a little extra warmth so I wore this black Jeanswest leather jacket.

While the coral necklace is a more orange shade than the bright coral red of the maxi skirt, I liked the two paired together, especially against the neutral grey tee.

Two simple striped tee and black skinny jeans outfits with black cardigans, for winter working from home days with the school run and physio appointments.

Why I wore it:

Felt like it was time to get this bag out again! I thrifted it a while back, and bought the metallic chain strap on ebay separately so I could wear it crossbody. It's very smooshy and much bigger than you'd think in photos! It fit all my essentials plus my latest library book, so I could read while waiting at the physio appointment and then later at the vet appointment.

Jeans and tee will always be a working from home staple for me in the cooler weather, especially when paired with a cosy cardigan like this black cocoon one. Like the tee, jeans and bag, the cardigan was an opshop find too, so this is an almost entirely thrifted outfit!

Why I wore it:

This was a colder day than the one above so I pulled out this thicker knit cardigan, it's an old one I've had in my wardrobe for years, since my uni days even! I don't wear it a lot over winter, just on very cold days, so it's stuck around for such a long time!

With the black jeans long black belted cardigan and the navy and white striped tee I felt this neutral outfit needed a little extra colour. The brown Converse were an attempt to be matchy-matchy with the Chloe Ethel bag, even though the shades of brown are slightly different.

I added this green printed snood (infinity scarf) for a little extra colour as well, although I ended up taking it off after the school run as I was warm enough in the black cardigan.

Two Ways To Wear Blue Leaf Print Maxi Wrap Skirt

I recently picked up this beautiful blue leaf print warp skirt at the opshop, for just $1! While it's winter in Brisbane I was eager to wear it as soon as possible. I set myself a goal of wearing everything I wear twice in the month I buy it, and luckily I was able to layer up this skirt to wear it twice this winter.

What I wore:

Why I wore it:

This grey tee is also an opshop find! I knew with this colourful printed wrap skirt a plain grey tee would make a great neutral pairing with it. I added the cobalt leather jacket for extra warmth for the school run, especially in the morning. I really liked this first wear of this skirt, it is definitely something better suited for warmer weather though!

With the blue Converse and blue necklace, blue leather jacket and blue printed wrap skirt this outfit really needed another colour so I added the little lilac Polene Numero Neuf mini bag for that. I like purple and blue together, and as I didn't have to carry much this was a good bag choice to hold the essentials.

Why I wore it:

I layered up this skirt a little more the next time I wore it, with this cosy berry seam detail knit. The jumper is also another recent wardrobe addition, although one I bought new from the store. While I liked the lilac Polene Numero Neuf bag with the first outfit, I liked the brighter pinks with this blue skirt too! I added lots of shades of pink, with the berry pink of the knit, pastel and bright pink in my handmade beaded necklace, and bolder pink in the Rebecca Minkoff mini 5-zip bag. To make sure I kept warm I added the leather jacket, and then these Acne Pistol boots that have been sitting in my wardrobe for far too long and were definitely overdue another wear. It was a great outfit for church, although I did shed the denim jacket when the sun came out later in the morning and it warmed up.

Why I wore it:

I really liked this outfit, although I did regret not packing leggings to wear with it! This was during our little staycation at Sea World Resort on the Gold Coast. I picked this dress as it packs well, the viscose doesn't crease easily and you can't see any creases that do form with the excess fabric, the tiers and the print. With the long sleeves I was hoping the denim jacket would be enough to keep me warm on the short walk from our hotel room to one of the hotel restaurants.

It was later in the evening, after dinner, where I'd wished I'd had the leggings, as we spent some time outside before heading back to our rooms. Thankfully being winter the staff had a few fire pits setup so I was warm sitting in front of them, but cold for the short walk back to the room.

The blue Converse and blue Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC bag were what I'd worn around the theme park earlier in the day - I just tried to dress this up a little with the necklace, then I didn't have to pack any extra accessories.

Why I wore it:

This little black dress is a recent opshop find, and like all the new fashion additions to my wardrobe, I was eager to wear it twice in the month I bought it. It meant layering it up a little for this very cold morning where I had a couple of errands to run. I added the leggings and the fun heart print scarf. Although the scarf was really for a bit of colour and print as much as warmth! With the black dress and black leggings the outfit needed the scarf for a bit more colour, the blue Converse and light denim jacket weren't enough of a boost, even with the blue Rebecca Minkoff 5 zip bag for a little more colour I felt a scarf was needed.

The only thing I didn't like about this outfit was how the dress stuck to the leggings - I am looking forward to warmer weather where I can enjoy this dress without the extra layer! The leggings were a practical choice in the cold though.

On some warmer winter days recently I just needed these light cocoon cardigans over my jeans and striped tee outfits.

Why I wore it:

This was a busy day! I had a few errands to run and it was quite a sunny morning, so I just added this lightweight cocoon cardigan. The cardigan was an opshop find, one I'm always glad I picked up. I was hoping for good opshopping luck as I had a few bags of donations to drop off that morning. Of course I walked away with a few opshop scores for myself too after dropping things off and having 'just a little browse'.

I like the simplicity of this outfit - the teal jeans are a good pair with the navy and white striped tee, and the white Converse was a little bit of matchy-matchy with that. Nothing else matched, with the navy stripes in the tee and the black knit cardigan and tan Rebecca Minkoff MAB camera bag, but I liked how all the neutrals looked together.

Why I wore it:

I don't normally wear a lot of neutral outfits, but here's a second neutral outfit in a row, with a black and white striped tee and olive jeans with the black Converse and the grey duster cocoon cardigan. The cardigan and the striped tee are both opshop finds.

Although I usually like adding a little extra colour to my outfits with accessories I decided to stick with the neutrals with this one. The black Mimco Mim-Mazing crossbody bag goes with everything and I really liked the neutral beaded necklace against the black stripe tee.

As you can see from my post of the 30 ways to wear these olive jeans, I wear them with black a lot, but this is the first time I've worn this particular tee with them as it's a recent opshop find. I really liked the combination, good for another quiet weekend day with a few errands to complete.

Two very similar outfits, with the same cardigan, jeans, shoes and bag and Kisschasy band tees for a staycation at Sea World resort recently on the Gold Coast over the winter school holidays.

Why I wore it:

Wore this for our trip down the coast and to spend the day enjoying the theme park. I knew that it would warm up during the day so I thought this light grey cardigan was all I would need. And although I didn't warm up enough to take it off it was a good layer to have. Had so much fun with the kids going on all the rides, making the most of them being a little taller than out last visit and being able to go on all the rides they wanted.

The little Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC was all I needed to keep the essentials handy. I had a big reusable tote for everyone's water bottles and some snacks for through the day.

Why I wore it:

Early morning view from our balcony before day two of theme parking - kicking off with a buffet breakfast that honestly isn't the best way to start a day of multiple rollercoaster rides, ha! Although it did mean we were still so full at lunchtime we could just treat ourselves to ice cream for lunch.

Again I wore the same grey cardigan as I had the day before, along with the zip detail skinny jeans, and blue Converse and same blue Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC bag. I really simplified packing by bringing as few things as possible. Although I expected this day to be cooler it really warmed up so much, I did have to take the cardigan off a couple times during the day.

Since I'd worn a Kisschasy band tee in the outfit above, and I wanted to simplify packing, I decided to make it a band tee weekend, and I wore this other older Kisschasy band tee I have. I liked it with the blue converse and mini MAC bag.

Two outfits with floral print dresses, Converse, a navy suede moto jacket and Mimco Mim-Mazing crossbody bag for some different days recently.

What I wore:

Bag: MIMCO Mim-Mazing crossbody bag in black and light gold

Why I wore it:

I really like this navy suede moto jacket paired with this navy and white floral print tiered dress. I wanted to be dressed up but not too cold for a day off where I attended an award ceremony for a family member. I thought a denim jacket or leather jacket would be too casual, this jacket seemed perfect for the formal event. I did go with casual Converse though as I had to drive a bit and while boots would have looked more formal, I had to consider my knee with all that driving.

I didn't need to carry much, just the essentials, so I went with this little black Mimco Mim-mazing crossbody bag. It was perfect for the basics for the ceremony and then going out for brunch afterwards.

Went a little matchy-matchy with the gold hardware on the bag with the gold charm necklace and gold stud earrings. I layered up some gold bracelets too but you can't see them with the long sleeves on the dress and long sleeves on the jacket covering them up.

Last worn: navy suede moto jacket, heart stud earrings, charm necklace, navy floral tiered dress, Converse, Mimco Mim-Mazing crossbody.

Other ways to wear: navy suede moto jacket and jeans, navy floral tiered dress and denim jacket, Converse and shorts, Mimco Mim-Mazing crossbody and skirt.

Perfect for pregnancy: Converse in second trimester.

Why I wore it:

This was unfortunately not a day off! I had to head into the office, again leaving before sunrise so sorry for the low quality photo. Since I liked the navy suede jacket with the floral dress in the outfit above so much I wore the formula again on this day with this Kmart teal floral print midi dress. I really like this dress with shades of blue, so I added blue converse with the navy jacket. I went a little matchy-matchy with the teal earrings but unfortunately they are hard to see in the photo.

Again I wore my Mimco Mim-Mazing crossbody bag. It's great for all the essentials and I have a big work-issued laptop bag I can slip my water bottle and lunch into.
