Midi Dresses and Leather Jackets With Pink Bags

Two midi dresses I thrifted recently, layered up with leather jackets for the cooler spring morning commutes to the office in Brisbane.

What I wore:

JacketWittner 'Santa Fe' cobalt blue leather jacket
Earrings: Colette silver filigree leaf diamante statement earrings
Dress: thrifted Target Preview black shirred tartan midi dress
Shoespre-loved black Acne Studios Pistol boots
BagRebecca Minkoff mini MAC redyed with Angelus hot pink leather paint

Why I wore it:

We had a lunch event at work so I was excited to wear this midi dress for the first time. I love the subtle grey tartan print on the black back ground, and it was only $1! I wore it with these black Acne Pistol boots I scored on ebay recently.

With the black boots and black dress, I definitely needed more colour, so I wore this cobalt blue leather jacket and the little neon pink Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC bag. I love the pop of neon pink against the black. The leather jacket was a good choice too - the statement blouson sleeves on this dress made me worried it wouldn't fit under the jacket, but it was roomy enough it was easy to layer over all the extra fabric.

With the square neckline I wasn't sure what necklace to wear, so I went with these pretty silver statement earrings instead.

Last worn: silver leaf earrings, cobalt leather jacket, neon pink mini MAC. It's the first time I've worn the tartan midi dress and the black ankle boots as they are recent purchases.

Other ways to wearleather jacket worn 30 ways, neon pink mini MAC and skirt.

What I wore:

JacketJeanswest black leather moto jacket
Earrings: Colette Tropadelic fuchsia coloured metal leaf earrings
Necklace: Tiffany & Co silver 5th Avenue notes heart pendant necklace
DressKmart Anko short sleeve wrap chambray tiered midi dress
ShoesAdidas Superstar sneakers
Bag: thrifted Marc by Marc Jacobs Dr Q Convertible clutch in electric violet

Why I wore it:

Another midi dress and pink bag outfit! While this magenta Marc by Marc Jacobs bag is also an opshop find, the dress was a retail purchase - a Kmart clearance find I couldn't resist. Last time I wore it I paired it with ankle boots, but as I can't wear boots too many days in a row with my knee injury, this time around I wore my comfortable Adidas Superstar sneakers with it.

Again I went with statement earrings, these pretty magenta ones to match my bag, I love a bit of matchy-matchy! But I added a necklace to this outfit too. I did wish I'd worn a scarf as it was a cooler morning, but the leather jacket kept me warm enough on the commute home from the office. It was just in the morning I wished I'd had an extra layer.

2 Outfits With Luna Blue Edie Shoulder Bag Worn With Pink

Two outfits with my Rebecca Minkoff Luna Edie shoulder bag worn with pink. Pink skirt in the first outfit, and pink jeans in the second. Both of these outfits were worn for working from home days.

What I wore:

Jacket: Jeanswest navy suede moto zip jacket
Necklace: handmade pink and white polymer clay beaded necklace
Tee: thrifted Country Road grey crew neck tee
Skirt: thrifted Rama Boho Fashion pink and orange floral print button up midi skirt (new purchase)
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star in pink foam
BagRebecca Minkoff Edie regular shoulder bag in Luna blue

Why I wore it:

Both the tee and skirt are opshop finds! I thought the plain grey tee would be a good pairing with this bright and colourful pink and orange floral midi skirt, it's a nice neutral to balance out all the colour. it was still a cooler day so I layered up with this Jeanswest navy suede moto jacket. The Rebecca Minkoff Luna blue Edie shoulder bag I picked because while I was working from home I did have the school run and a physio appointment to attend. This bag fits all my essentials plus had room for my latest library read while I was waiting for my appointment.

With the pinks in the skirt, I couldn't resist adding a little more pink with the accessories, with the pastel pink Converse and the pink beaded necklace I made. I liked all the different shades of pink in this outfit.

Last worn: navy suede moto jacket, Country Road grey tee, pink handmade necklacepink Converse, Rebecca Minkoff Luna blue Edie shoulder bag. It's the first time I've worn the floral skirt as it's a recent opshop find.

What I wore:

JacketRebecca Minkoff Ruana poncho
Necklace: handmade blue, green and black beaded necklace
TeeCotton On The One fitted v tee in washed poolside blue
Jeans: thrifted Zara pink frayed hem skinny jeans
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in white
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff Edie regular shoulder bag in Luna blue

Why I wore it:

Just like when I wore the outfit above, this was another working from home day. I went with my comfortable go-to for working from home days, with jeans and a tee. I made it a little more colourful with the pastel blue tee and the pink frayed hem jeans. I liked the two light shades of pink and blue together. I did have to layer up a little, so I wore this cosy Rebecca Minkoff knitted ruana poncho, perfect for keeping me warm on the school run and when the kids had sports in the evening.

Again I had another appointment during the day, the doctors this time, so I wore the Luna blue Edie bag again to put my latest book inside.

I thought the clay necklace would look good with this outfit, with the blue and black being similar to the blue bag, and tee and knitted poncho, but I think maybe a different necklace might have worked better with this, maybe something longer. Still, a good outfit for a quiet day.

Last worn: black knitted poncho, pastel blue tee, handmade necklace, pink Zara jeans, white Converse, Rebecca Minkoff Luna blue Edie shoulder bag (above).

Other ways to wearblack knitted poncho with black jeans, pastel blue tee and shorts, pink Zara jeans and jumper, white Converse and skirt, Rebecca Minkoff Luna blue Edie shoulder bag and dress.

Printed Tees, Dusters, Skinny Jeans and Converse

Warmer spring weather in Brisbane means I'm wearing more of my lighter layers more often, like both of these neutral duster cardigans. Wearing them with black skinny jeans, printed tees, colourful Rebecca Minkoff bags and Converse.

What I wore:

Jacket: Ripe longline grey cardigan
Earrings: Colette Sangria sunset disc stud tassel earrings
Necklace: layered silver necklaces
TeeSass and Bide 'New Day Rising' tee in orange leopard print
Jeans: Jeanswest black skinny jeans with zipper detail
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star in hot tea
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff yellow mini 5 zip

Why I wore it:

Very colourful outfit for working from home, with the school run and a couple of errands in the afternoon. Jeans and a tee is a staple for me on working from home days, and I felt it had been a while since I wore this Sass and Bide neon orange leopard print tee so it was good to get it out again. The neon orange tee and the matching earrings added some colour to the grey cocoon duster cardigan and black skinny jeans, and then I added more colour with the little yellow Rebecca Minkoff mini 5-zip bag. I like the combination of yellow and orange together.

Had the comfortable Converse for a little bit of running around with the errands and the school run, and the neutral brown was a good choice for this outfit.

Last worn: grey cocoon cardigan, neon leopard tee, neon earrings, zip detail skinny jeans, brown Converse, yellow Rebecca Minkoff mini 5-zip.

Other ways to weargrey cocoon cardigan and skirt, neon leopard tee and shorts, zip detail skinny jeans and knit jumper, brown Converse and maxi skirt, yellow Rebecca Minkoff mini 5-zip and dress.

What I wore:

Jacket: thrifted TEMT long black duster cardigan (new purchase)
Necklace: silver knot necklace
Teethrifted navy stripe Coca-Cola logo tee
Jeans: thrifted Jeanswest faded black cropped butt lifter jeans
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
BagRebecca Minkoff mini MAC redyed with Angelus hot pink leather paint

Why I wore it:

This outfit is a similar formula to the last one above, but a lot darker with the black duster, black skinny jeans, and matching black Converse. The printed Cocoa-Cola logo tee adds a little extra colour with the red logo print, but I still felt this outfit was a bit dull so I added this neon pink Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC I redyed myself. It was the perfect pop.

I needed something comfortable so that's why I went with jeans and a tee and Converse again. The boys sports club had an outdoor fundraising event in the evening, but during the day I went down to set up. I didn't need this duster during the day, it warmed up nicely, and I thought it would keep me warmer in the evening as well, although by 9pm I was wishing I'd picked something a bit cosier to wear! It was a good night though, and this was nice and comfortable for helping with the setup and practical for attending the event later in the evening - just a shame it wasn't a little warmer. Not bad for the first wear of this black duster I picked up at the opshop though.

Last worn: Coca-Cola logo tee, black skinny jeans, black Converse, redyed pink Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC. It's the first time I've worn the duster as it's a recent opshop find.

Other ways to wearCoca-Cola logo tee and shorts, black skinny jeans and trench coatblack Converse and dress, redyed pink Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC with florals.

Kmart Midi Dresses With Ankle Boots and Rebecca Minkoff Micro Regan Bag

Wearing my Acne Studios Pistol ankle boots again, with two Kmart midi dresses for recent office days.

What I wore:

JacketKmart Anko oversized cropped denim trench coat (new purchase)
Earrings: thrifted Target hammered silver circle earrings
Necklace: Tiffany & Co silver 5th Avenue notes heart pendant necklace
Dress: Kmart teal floral print midi dress
ShoesAcne pistol boots in 'skin'
BagRebecca Minkoff micro Regan satchel in Harvest Gold

Why I wore it:

Excited to share this first outfit with this new Kmart oversized cropped denim trench coat I got! I picked it up on clearance in store for just $5. It's so similar to the longline version I have, just a cropped style. it's a thicker denim as well which was perfect for keeping me warm on the cooler commute, especially paired with this teal long sleeved dress.

The floral teal dress is from Kmart as well, despite trying hard not to buy clothing items new I can never resist a browse in the Kmart clearance section. I bought the teal floral midi dress near the end of 2019 and it's already passed 20 wears so definitely getting a good amount of wear from my purchase.

I wore my Acne Pistol boots with this outfit, after getting them resolved recently. And I picked the Rebecca Minkoff micro Regan bag as it had been a while since I'd worn it. And as my friend pointed out, the tassels match the tassel zipper pulls on the ankle boots nicely! Easy outfit for the office.

Last worn: silver circle earrings, silver heart necklace, teal floral midi dress, Acne Pistol boots, Rebecca Minkoff micro Regan bag. It's the first time I've posted the jacket as it's a recent purchase.

Other ways to wearteal floral midi dress and trench coat, Acne Pistol boots and mini dress, Rebecca Minkoff micro Regan bag and shorts.

Perfect for pregnancyAcne pistol boots in third trimester.

What I wore:

JacketWitchery black belted moto leather jacket
Necklace: thrifted Equip gold and marble station necklace
DressKmart Anko short sleeve wrap chambray tiered midi dress (new purchase)
ShoesAcne pistol boots in 'skin'
BagRebecca Minkoff micro Regan satchel in Harvest Gold

Why I wore it:

This midi dress is another Kmart clearance find! Not sure if it means I stumble across a lot of bargains there or that I just shop there too often...but I'd seen this dress in store a few times and liked it but when I saw it reduced to just $10 I knew I had to have it! The sleeves are short, not down to my elbows, so I needed a warmer layer on top for a colder morning commute and I went with this cosy Witchery leather jacket, it's really thick and warm for colder mornings and afternoons. I did wish I'd worn a scarf with this as it was a particularly cold morning!

Again I wore the little mustard yellow Rebecca Minkoff micro Regan bag, I like the pop of colour of the mustard yellow against the chambray blue of the dress, and as in the first outfit, the tassel details on the bag match the tassel zipper pulls on the Acne Studio Pistol ankle boots nicely.

Last worn: Witchery leather jacket, 5 station necklace, Acne Pistol boots (above), Rebecca Minkoff micro Regan bag (above). First time I've worn the dress as it's a recent purchase.

Other ways to wearWitchery leather jacket and skirt, Acne Pistol boots and shift dress, Rebecca Minkoff micro Regan bag and jeans.

Yellow Tees, Black and White Cardigans and Grey Jeans With Rebecca Minkoff Cupid Bag

Adding some colour to jeans and tee outfits lately with two yellow tees. The tees really brighten up these grey jeans, black and white knit outfits for winter working from home days.

What I wore:

JacketRebecca Minkoff Ruana poncho
Necklace: handmade yellow and white polymer clay beaded necklace
TeeCotton On The One fitted v tee in washed summer mango
Jeans: Jeanswest Cecile dove grey skinny jeans
ShoesAdidas Superstar sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
Bagthrifted Rebecca Minkoff vintage Cupid satchel in dark navy blue

Why I wore it:

This Rebecca Minkoff knitted poncho has been a cosy staple over winter, perfect for early morning school runs and for staying warm at my desk when working from home. With the grey jeans, black and white knit ruana and black and white Adidas Superstar sneakers, this was a very neutral outfit. The yellow tee was the perfect pop of colour to lighten it. I went a little matchy-matchy with the necklace too, this one I made recently compliments the tee nicely although it's not an exact shade match with the mango yellow tee.

Carried my big Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag to hold all my essentials plus my latest library read as I had a couple of errands to run after picking up the kids from school in the afternoon, as well as a trip to the library, and wanted a book to read while I was waiting for the kids to pick out the new books they wanted to borrow.

Last worn: Rebecca Minkoff ruana, handmade necklace, mango yellow tee, grey skinny jeans, Adidas Superstar sneakers, Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag.

Other ways to wearRebecca Minkoff ruana with pink, mango yellow tee and skirtgrey skinny jeans worn 30 ways, Adidas Superstar sneakers and shorts, Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag and skirt.

What I wore:

Jacket: thrifted no label black and white leopard print cocoon cardigan
Necklace: thrifted grey and white beaded necklace
Tee: Jeanswest essential v-neck tee in elfin yellow
JeansNobody Denim Cult high rise skinny ankle jeans in charred grey
ShoesAdidas Superstar sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
Bagthrifted Rebecca Minkoff vintage Cupid satchel in dark navy blue

Why I wore it:

Another very similar jeans and tee outfit, following the same basic outfit formula with different pieces. Again I wore my Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag, I usually don't carry much on my work from home days but I had a physio appointment during the day and an appointment at the vets in the evening so I wanted to bring along my latest library read to entertain me while I waited for those appointments. Like the outfit above, I paired grey jeans with my Adidas Superstar sneakers, these Nobody Denim jeans are very comfortable. I went with a lighter pastel yellow tee this time, and again a black and white knit with this thrifted leopard print cardigan. Like the thicker chunky knit above, it's nice and cosy on cooler days, and was an easy layer to shed at physio.

Last worn: leopard print cardigan, beaded necklace, pastel yellow tee, Nobody Denim jeans, Adidas Superstar sneakers (above), Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag (above).

Other ways to wear: leopard print cardigan and skirt, pastel yellow tee and shorts, Nobody Denim jeans and blouse, Adidas Superstar sneakers and dress, Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag and shorts.

Anko Denim Trench Coat With Black Blouses and Colourful Jeans

Adding a little colour to winter black blouse office outfits with colourful jeans, and combatting the cold winter commute with this Anko oversized denim trench coat.

What I wore:

JacketKmart Anko full length oversized denim trench coat
Necklace: handmade yellow and white polymer clay beaded necklace
Blouse: thrifted Seed heritage black dolman sleeve blouse
Jeans: Jeanswest Vicki skinny pant in moss green
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
BagChloe periwinkle small Paraty

Why I wore it:

I wore this as I needed a nice easy outfit for a day full of meetings at my desk. The black blouse is a lovely recent opshop find. It's got a bit of texture and these amazing blouson sleeves. The denim trench unfortunately covers the sleeves up, but the oversized style meant it accommodated the big sleeves nicely. With the black Converse matching the black blouse, and the neutral olive skinny jeans, I wanted to add a little pop of colour to this. This polymer clay necklace I recently made was perfect. I liked the burst of yellow against the black.

The Chloe Periwinkle Paraty bag was another little bit of matching, as it's similar to the blue denim wash on the trench coat.

Last worn: Anko denim trench coat, Seed Heritage black blouse, handmade necklace, olive green jeans, black Converse, Chloe periwinkle Paraty bag.

Other ways to wearAnko denim trench coat and dress, Seed Heritage black blouse and skirt, olive green jeans worn 30 waysblack Converse and dress, Chloe periwinkle Paraty bag and maxi dress.

What I wore:

Necklace: thrifted bronze foil statement necklace
Blouse: Kmart black batwing button up blouse
Jeans: thrifted Emerson red skinny jeans
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
BagRebecca Minkoff Love Too in deep teal croc embossed leather

Why I wore it:

I liked the outfit formula above, so repeated it again with another black blouse, this one also an opshop find, and another pair of colourful jeans. I haven't worn these red ones in a while, although they have been worn a lot in the past and I've achieved over 30 wears with them. it was good to get them out again for another office day.

I kept things simple, again matching the black blouse to the black Converse, and again wore the same oversized denim trench coat. I even wore another blue bag this time too, this Rebecca Minkoff deep teal croc embossed Love Too bag.

Black Cardigan and Floral Printed Dresses With Leggings

Last time I wore this cardigan I commented on how it's been in my wardrobe for so long, even before the blog! While I wore it then with jeans, it's nice and warm for wearing over dresses too, as I've worn it here with both of these floral dresses for winter weekend days.

What I wore:

JacketCotton On black knit wrap cardigan
EarringsMIMCO fleur stud silver earrings
NecklaceTiffany diamonds by the yard necklace, custom Cooper charm by Silhoupette
DressJaase Celine autumn leaves mini dress
Shoes: RMK Chester black ankle boots
Bag: thrifted Marc by Marc Jacobs Dr Q Convertible clutch in electric violet

Why I wore it:

This Jaase navy autumn leaves print Celine dress is a firm favourite. Being a light viscose it's good in warmer weather, but it layers nicely for winter with a cosy cardigan like this, especially when paired with leggings and my trusty black ankle boots.

The only thing I regretted about this outfit was the leggings - they kept me warm but we visited a friend with dogs that shed and black cardigan was maybe not the best choice - the leggings got covered in dog fur! The dogs were cute enough to make up for it though.

I tried to dress the outfit up a little with the layered necklaces, but they were tangled and hidden behind my hair in the photos sadly.

There isn't any pink in the autumn leaves print on this dress but I still felt like carrying this magenta Marc by Marc Jacobs convertible clutch - it was an opshop find a while back and I've been enjoying wearing it a lot lately.

Last worn: black cardigan, studded earrings, Tiffany necklace, silhouette necklace, Jaase Celine autumn leaves dress, black ankle boots, Marc by Marc Jacobs convertible clutch bag.

Other ways to wearblack cardigan and band tee, Jaase Celine autumn leaves dress and blazerankle boots worn 30 ways, Marc by Marc Jacobs convertible clutch bag and skirt.

Perfect for pregnancyankle boots in second trimester.

What I wore:

JacketCotton On black knit wrap cardigan
Earrings: Kmart silver leaf drop chandelier earrings
NecklaceTiffany diamonds by the yard necklace, Tiffany & Co pink double heart tag pendant necklace
Dress: thrifted no label pastel floral print babydoll dress
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star in pink foam
Bagthrifted Rebecca Minkoff vintage Cupid satchel in dark navy blue

Why I wore it:

No ankle boots this time, but otherwise a very similar outfit to the one above, with another floral dress, leggings and the black cardigan again. I added the silver statement earrings to match the silver layered necklaces and the silver hardware on the Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag.

A big bag was needed for the day as I had to carry a bit around. We had church in the morning and then I volunteered at a Bunnings fundraising sausage sizzle in the afternoon so I went with my comfortable Converse for being on my feet most of the day. The pastel pink is a much lighter pink than the pink in the print of the dress, but I still liked the extra touch of pink they added to this outfit, and I was very glad of the comfortable shoes at the end of the sausage sizzle!

The only thing I didn't like about this outfit was the earrings - I've never had issues with them before but they kept falling out while I was manning the sausage sizzle - had to put them in my bag at one point as I kept knocking them out accidentally! Thankfully I didn't lose either of them.

Last worn: black cardigan (above), silver earrings, Tiffany necklace (above), Tiffany heart necklace, pastel floral print dress, pink Converse, Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag.

Other ways to wearblack cardigan and jeans, pastel floral print dress with yellow, pink Converse and skirt, Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag and printed jeans.

Two Ways To Wear: Long Leopard Print Cardigan

I thrifted this long leopard print cardigan last month, and like everything I add to my wardrobe, I set myself the goal of wearing twice in the month I bought it, to make sure it works with my lifestyle. Here are two of the first ways I've worn this awesome leopard print cardigan back in July.

What I wore:

Jacket: thrifted Dotti leopard print long cardigan
Necklace: thrifted pastel pink and wooden hexagon bead necklace
Dress: thrifted Kmart tiered little black dress
ShoesAsos Cleo leather boots in tan
BagRebecca Minkoff Jean MAC bag in fig

Why I wore it:

This dress is another recent opshop find, I thrifted it and the cardigan together, and I knew they would make a great combination. Just like last time I wore this dress, I found it stuck to the leggings a bit. I am looking forward to warmer spring weather arriving in Brisbane soon, and counting down the days until the end of winter! Leggings aside, I really liked this outfit! I was working from home as I had an appointment and a couple of extra errands to run in the afternoon before school pick up.

This leopard print cardigan and the tall tan boots kept me cosy. I really liked the pink accessories with this too, it's been a while since I've worn this Rebecca Minkoff Jean MAC crossbody bag so it was overdue another wear.

Last worn: leopard print cardigangeometric bead necklace, black dress, tan boots, Rebecca Minkoff Jean MAC crossbody bag.

Other ways to wear: leopard print cardigan and jeansblack dress and denim jacket, tan boots and jeans, Rebecca Minkoff Jean MAC crossbody bag with florals.

What I wore:

Jacket: thrifted Dotti leopard print long cardigan
NecklaceRoie Designs feather, quartz and love charm long necklace
Tee: thrifted Target cotton and modal relaxed red tee
Jeans: Jeanswest black skinny jeans with zipper detail
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bagthrifted Rebecca Minkoff vintage Cupid satchel in dark navy blue

Why I wore it:

This was another working from home day, with the school pick up and then sports in the evening. I needed to be warm for the evening but comfortable during the day, so I layered up my go-to jeans and tee working from home outfit with this leopard print cardigan. I liked the extra print it added to this outfit, and it was nice and cosy for the evening as well, although I did have to add a scarf then. With the black skinny jeans and black Converse, I went with the dark Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag. It's also an opshop find, and is just a really deep navy.

With all the neutrals, I felt the red tee was the perfect touch of colour with this.

Last worn: leopard print cardigan (above), feather necklace, red tee, skinny jeans, black Converse, Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag.

Other ways to wear: leopard print cardigan and pinkred tee and skirt, skinny jeans and graphic teeblack Converse and skirt, Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag and dress.
