Full price is a bit exxy but at over $140 off I could definitely justify the cost! As Stella McCartney says in Fashionopolis, "if you can’t afford it the first time around, get it in the sale. Get it in the sale of the sale of the sale. Get it secondhand... buy fewer things that will last longer".
Here's two ways I've recently worn these jeans for spring.
Necklace: Jeanswest Taryn turquoise tassel bead necklace
Tank: Atmos&Here 'Florida' tank in Aztec print

Shoes: Walnut Melbourne 'Ava' black lizard ballet flats
Bracelets: the usual plus Cora purpleheart and mother of pearl watch c/o JORD
Bag: Chloe small Paddington in 2006 blanc
Jacket: Paper Scissors grey wrap cardigan
Necklace: Lovisa mixed texture beaded necklace
Top: Jeanswest 'Hannah' print tank in paradise pink multi
Jeans: Nobody Denim Cult high rise skinny ankle jeans in charred grey
Shoes: Converse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bracelets: the usual plus Cora purpleheart and mother of pearl watch c/o JORD

Why I wore it:
This was a strange day weather-wise! It was a cooler morning which quickly turned into a humid day but then a cold afternoon and evening when the storm blew in. I figured jeans and a tank were a safe choice but I probably should have added a cover-up to this for the cooler parts of the day. After the school run I had some quick errands (and more Christmas presents to pick up, so thankful for click and collect!), sports for the little one, a playdate, and then school pickup in the afternoon before sports again for both boys in the evening. Luckily the storm hit right after we got home from school pickup and was a lot less severe when we went out for sports after dinner.
This swing tank is such a fun one, I don't know why I don't wear it more! It was perfect with the high waisted jeans, and I wore another of my October purchases with it, this cute Chloe mini Paddington bag that was a second hand market bargain. It seemed like a bit of a dressy outfit with all these pieces together so I went with ballet flats instead of my usual Converse which I thought might have been too casual.
Last worn: Aztec print swing tank, tassel necklace, ballet flats. First time I've worn the jeans and Chloe mini Paddington as they are recent purchases.
Other ways to wear: Aztec print swing tank and shorts, tassel necklace worn 30 ways, ballet flats and pleated skirt..
Perfect for pregnancy: Aztec print swing tank and hidden baby bump, ballet flats in second trimester.

Why I wore it:
Again I paired this cute little cream Paddington bag with these grey skinny jeans. I waterproofed the bag as I usually do with all my bags, so I'm not worried about colour transfer from the denim.
This was a tricky day to dress for as once the kids were off to school I had an all day long conference for work that required me to be on camera for most of it. I wanted to be comfortable but look kind of professional too. I figured a day sitting at my desk was good to make sure these jeans were as comfortable as my other black Nobody Denim pair, and they certainly were!
With the gold hardware on the Paddington, I went with this gold beaded necklace. Even if it wasn't seen on the conference it was a combo seen when I briefly ventured out! Like the bag, the Converse were an outdoor only piece too. They grey cardigan kept me cosy for a rainy day and the bright coral tank with the brushstroke stripes added a little interest to my outfit for showcasing on that little video rectangle. Last time I wore this tank I wore it with a Paddington bag too!
Last worn: grey cardigan, brushstroke stripe tank, beaded necklace, charcoal grey jeans (above), Converse, Chloe mini Paddington bag (above).
Other ways to wear: grey cardigan and flared jeans, brushstroke stripe tank and maxi skirt, Converse and dress.
Perfect for pregnancy: brushstroke stripe tank in second trimester, Converse in second trimester.

How You Can Wear It:
Grey skinny jeans are a staple that go with anything! But you can't go past the simplicity of the "jeans and a nice top" staple outfit formula loved by so many. Printed tanks are a nice way to add a bit of colour to the grey jeans.
Jeans are such a staple, aren't they? So easy to dress up or down. I don't have any grey ones though, so maybe I might treat myself in the Christmas sales!
ReplyDeleteI find grey ones so versatile, this is my second grey pair!
DeleteLove the both outfits and these jeans are so gorgeous. The first combo is my favorite, the aztec print top looks so cute.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend:)
Hey Mica, happy Friday! Any exciting plans for the weekend?
ReplyDeleteI think you found a really good product, you'll be using those jeans a lot during many times and a discount is always welcomed ;)
I like how you styled that amazing Chloe bag in both options, I think the design makes a statement with the big padlock on the front :)
Have a lovely weekend!

The handbag looks interesting.
ReplyDeleteNice weekend.
Love the color of those jeans! They'll go with anything.
ReplyDeleteAnd that Stella quote is so perfect! I do hate paying full price, even if I can technically afford something, haha.

I wear jeans every single day except for Christmas, Easter, weddings, funerals and summertime. They are to me the ultimate comfort wear!! Lovely outfits.
ReplyDeleteIt just gets too hot and humid here in summer time to wear them sadly!
DeleteFantastic outfits. I like especially the first one.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend!
❤️
ReplyDeleteVery cute jeans. I don't have any jeans like that.
ReplyDeleteIt is better to get the quality clothing, but sometimes one really can't afford it. Even at the sale of the sale of the sale.
ReplyDeleteTrue, that's why I was so glad these came into my budget when they were so reduced!
DeleteAnother great look sweetie!

Nice outfits :) thanks for your sharing...
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely charcoal colour your new jeans are. And what a bargain they were too. Definitely worth waiting for. I love both of the outfits you created with them, having a slight preference for the second one. The necklace is the perfect enhancement for that pretty tank! I hope you're enjoying your weekend Mica! xxx
ReplyDeleteI love how easy the bag can go with multiple pieces. I like the denim as well. <3
ReplyDeleteFASHION TALES
First of all, six months without shopping?! Hats off to you; I certainly couldn't do it! Secondly, such fun and funky tanks! You've clearly got the cute and comfy style thing down. :)
ReplyDeleteI thought I wouldn't be able to achieve it either but I actually extended it over 6 months! It gets easier the longer you do it :)
DeleteThe grey jeans are a good basis for any outfit!
ReplyDeleteBoth tanks are the right choice and go well with the jeans, bag and shoes.
Oh, I LOVE that beautiful bag, Mica - the hardware is amazing. Here's a term for you, for that colour transfer between garments - it's called "crocking"! So good job on your anti-crocking, lol.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great quote from Stella (I've bought a few of her things secondhand), and how awesome that you were able to find those sweet skinny jeans in the sale. It's worth it to pay a bit more for sustainable, whether it's new or second-hand. Good for you!
I hope you have a lovely weekend, my dear friend!
I would love to find some Stella in the opshop - no luck here, but I can dream, haha! I hadn't heard of crocking before either, so thank you for that! I agree, paying a little more for sustainable pieces is worth it!
DeleteEverything looking very nice! Have a great week my friend! 😘😘😘
ReplyDeleteLove the first outfit! Jeans are such a staple! xx

I wholeheartedly agree with Stella McCartney here!
ReplyDeleteShe's a wise woman - and a big advocate of sustainability!
DeleteNice post, as always! Both outfits are stunning, but I prefer the first one because the color palette really suits the color of the bag. It's gorgeous, I wish I could buy something similar here in Madrid. I must admit that lately I'm always wearing jeans instead of other types of pants, so I will copy your looks ;)

The bag was a lucky find at the markets! But you might be able to find a couple second hand as it's discontinued - I linked one up :)
DeleteVery fine outfits. Great bag :)
ReplyDeleteThose jeans look like a great find! I would like to be better about buying fewer, more high-quality pieces. I go in seasons where I'm good at that, then other seasons where I buy too many cheaper items that don't last long. I do think it's better to have quality over quantity, but I sometimes struggle to follow through with that!
ReplyDeleteYes it's not always easy on a budget to shop sustainable 100% of the time, that's why I've been trying to shop second hand more! Helps with the shopping less as I don't always find something, so my budget stretches further, haha!
DeleteO importante é encontrar o estilo que nos deixa mais a vontade.
ReplyDeleteAdorei suas combinações ficou top
