Denim Skirts, Converse and Blazers With Blue 5-Zip Bag

Taking advantage of two quiet days in the office on each side of a long weekend to wear some denim skirts. These outfits would have been good causal Friday outfits back in the day, but every day in the office is even more casual than casual Friday now!

I did dress these simple tank and denim skirts outfits a little with blazers to look a little more professional, but there weren't a lot of people in the office before or after the long weekend that I had to worry about looking professional for.

What I wore:

Jacket: thrifted Valleygirl navy jersey blazer
Top: Target embroidered khaki tank
Skirt: Target classic denim skirt in white
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in white
Bracelets: the usual
Bagvintage original Rebecca Minkoff 5-zip in faded electric blue

Why I wore it:

I've worn this olive embroidered tank with white in the past, it's such a nice combination of neutrals. I added the white Converse too for a little matchy-matchy, and then the navy blazer as I like navy and olive together. The blue Rebecca Minkoff 5 zip bag seemed an obvious addition once I picked out the navy blazer. It was far too hot to wear the blazer for the commute, but with just a denim skirt and a tank in the office aircon, I appreciated the blazer very much when I was sitting at my desk!

Didn't wear a necklace with this as the tassels and the embroidered neckline on the tank added enough detail I felt. I did consider wearing some statement earrings too, but I was in a rush that morning and hadn't picked a pair to wear so skipped adding them.

Last worn: navy blazer, olive embroidered tank, white denim skirt, white Converse, Rebecca Minkoff 5 zip bag.

Other ways to wearnavy blazer and pencil skirt, olive embroidered tank and maxi skirt, white denim skirt with pink, white Converse and jeans, Rebecca Minkoff 5 zip bag and leopard print.

What I wore:

Jacketthrifted Zara black blazer
Earrings: blue and yellow daisy resin earrings
Necklace: adjustable coral flat bead necklace
Tank: Jeanswest Elissa leaf print tank
Skirt: thrifted Target black stretch denim skirt
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bracelets: the usual
Bagvintage original Rebecca Minkoff 5-zip in faded electric blue

Why I wore it:

Another simple tank and denim skirt outfit. This time I went matchy-matchy with the black denim skirt, black Converse, and a black blazer to balance out the mix of colours in the print of the tank. With the navy fern print, again the Rebecca Minkoff 5 zip bag was a good choice, with the shades of blue not exactly matching, but close enough that I liked the tank and bag together.

The coral necklace was a different shade from the red in the print, as is the bright blue daisy earrings, but with all the black I felt the outfit needed a little extra brightness.

It was another day I shed the blazer as soon as I took these blog photos - such a humid summer day! It was nice to spend the day in the aircon at the office, blazer firmly back on.

Last worn: black blazer, daisy earrings, coral necklace, fern print tank, black denim skirt, black Converse, Rebecca Minkoff 5 zip bag (above).

Other ways to wearblack blazer and jeans, fern print tank worn two ways, black denim skirt and leopard print, black Converse and shorts, Rebecca Minkoff 5 zip bag and shorts.

Perfect for pregnancy: black blazer in third trimester, Converse in second trimester.

Office Outfits: Textured Pencil Skirts And Black Tops

With the summer holidays ending, it's back to the office for me. Still sticking with my mix of working from home some days and working in the office on others. Kept things easy for the return to work life with black tops and textured pencil skirts. And added a little colour with my Polene numero neuf mini bag.

What I wore:

Necklace: silver twisted chain necklace
Tank: Kmart linen blend textured black tank
SkirtCotton On 'Mica' mesh spot skirt in dusty pink
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bracelets: the usual
BagPolene numero neuf mini in textured mauve

Why I wore it:

I love this twisted metal necklace against the v-neckline of this linen blend tank. I wasn't sure it would look so good when I added the bag, which has gold hardware, with the silver necklace making such a statement. But I think they were enough of a distance away in my outfit that they worked.

And the lilac bag works well with the pastel pink of this textured polka dot pencil skirt. I've had it for years and I'm always surprised I haven't yet hit 30 wears with it!

Added comfortable Converse for the commute and I did consider a blazer with this, but it was much too hot to want to add the additional layer.

Last worn: linen blend tank, pink polka dot pencil skirt, Converse, Polene numero neuf mini bag. First time I've worn the necklace as it was a Christmas present.

Other ways to wearlinen blend tank and jeans, pink polka dot pencil skirt and peplum top, Converse and dress, Polene numero neuf mini bag and linen dress.

Perfect for pregnancypink polka dot pencil skirt in first trimesterConverse in second trimester.

What I wore:

Necklace: Tiffany & Co silver 5th Avenue notes heart pendant necklace layered with Tiffany & Co pink double heart tag pendant necklace
Top: Kmart black batwing button up blouse (Christmas present)
Skirt: Target textured silver pencil skirt (Christmas present)
ShoesAdidas Superstar sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
BagPolene numero neuf mini in textured mauve

Why I wore it:

I really liked this outfit! Both the top and the skirt are pieces mum picked up for me on our opshopping day before Christmas. The texture on the skirt is such a nice detail to differentiate it from my other grey pencil skirts, and it's very cosy in the cool aircon at work. I wasn't sure the shape of the outfit would work with the batwing blouse over the pencil skirt but I'm pleased I gave it a go. It was so comfortable and it got a few compliments in the office!

Added some layered Tiffany necklaces for a little detail near the neckline and again my little lilac Polene bag. With the black and grey outfit, some colour was definitely needed, and as I was working near the colleague who had let me try on her numero neuf mini before making the decision to get it, I was excited to show her what one I'd picked for Christmas!

Again went with practical sneakers - the Adidas Superstar sneakers are good for a rainy commute.

Last worn: Tiffany heart necklace, Tiffany notes necklace, Adidas Superstar sneakers, Polene numero neuf mini bag (above). First time I've worn the top and the pencil skirt as they are Christmas gifts.

Other ways to wearAdidas Superstar sneakers and dress, Polene numero neuf mini bag with pink.

Colourful Linen Dresses And Purple Polene Numero Neuf Mini Bag

The summer heat and humidity meant reaching for some loose comfortable linen dresses. Despite the very different bold colours in each of these dresses, I wore them both with the little lilac Polene numero neuf mini bag.

What I wore:

Earrings: handmade pink star clay earrings made by my sister
Necklace
: thrifted gold and pastel blue beaded necklace with grey string
Dress: thrifted Kmart short sleeve godet skirt linen blend dress in fuchsia
Belt: came with dress
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star coast blue
Bracelets: the usual
BagPolene numero neuf mini in textured mauve

Why I wore it:

Picked this pretty pink dress for a stressful morning but a fun afternoon. We had some back to school shopping to do in the morning, getting both boys new shoes for school, which is never a simple process! Then it was home to have some friends over in the afternoon. It had been a while since we'd caught up with some friends and it was so nice to see all the boys playing together. Of course the nerf guns made an appearance for the playdate too so there was a lot of cleaning up involved!

This linen dress is an easy instant outfit. I added these pretty pink clay earrings my sister made me, and then some blue with the Converse and the pastel statement necklace. With the different shades of blue and pink I thought lilac would be nice to add too so I wore my Polene numero neuf mini bag again, which has been a staple since I unboxed it on Christmas!

Last worn: Kmart linen dress, statement necklace, blue Converse, Polene numero neuf mini in mauve. First time I've worn the pink clay earrings as they were a gift from my sister.

Other ways to wearKmart linen dress in winter, blue Converse and maxi skirt, Polene numero neuf mini in mauve and shorts.

What I wore:

Necklace: thrifted gold and cream multi strand pearl necklace
DressJeanswest Lilah tiered linen dress in orange
Shoes: Kmart tan crossover slides
Bracelets: the usual
BagPolene numero neuf mini in textured mauve

Why I wore it:

Another very hot and humid summer day, with an early start to the morning as I picked up some family from the airport. I didn't need to carry much so I wanted to wear this adorable Polene numero neuf mini bag again. I wasn't sure about the lilac with the orange linen dress, but I'm glad I gave the combination a try as it worked out better than I thought!

Tried to dress this up a little with the fun statement necklace, and added the comfortable slides, which much like the Polene bag, have become a fast staple since unwrapping them for Christmas!

It was nice spending time with family before running a few errands in the afternoon. In the heat and humidity I was glad I'd worn this dress, and then when I got caught in the rain running from the grocery store to the car and got completely drenched I was again glad as linen dries quickly!

Last worn: orange tiered linen dress, statement necklace, tan slides, Polene mauve numero neuf bag (above).

Other ways to wearorange tiered linen dress and tote bag, tan slides and shorts, Polene mauve numero neuf bag with neutral outfit.

Neutral Shorts and Tee Outfits With Lilac Polene Numero Neuf Mini Bag

Two neutral shorts and tee outfits with some colourful accessories to brighten them up. Both of these outfits feature a lot of new pieces I got for Christmas, one of which is this beautiful Polene Numero Neuf mini bag in mauve, a beautiful shade of lilac. I always like my January outfits as I have fun thinking up different ways to wear all the awesome things I got for Christmas.

What I wore:

Jacket: Salty Crush Haylo pink lace duster (Christmas present)
EarringsAna Luisa 'Olivia' tassel earrings in pink
Tee: black textured crew neck tee (Christmas present)
Shorts: Jeanswest Parker printed shirred short
Shoes: Kmart tan crossover slides
Bracelets: the usual
Bag: Polene numero neuf mini in textured mauve (Christmas present)

Why I wore it:

With the textured black tee and the black printed shorts, I was hoping that there would be enough detail in this outfit to keep it interesting, even though it was just black and white. Even adding the cute little Polene Numero Neuf mini bag didn't seem to brighten it up enough, so I reached for this pretty lace duster my sister got me for Christmas. With the pink lace duster, I added pink earrings too for a little matchy-matchy. I really liked this outfit!

We had to run a few errands and visit the library, so a causal shorts and tee outfit would have been fine, but I love the extra colour and interest this duster added to the outfit. Made me so happy having it swooshing around behind me all day!

Last worn: tassel earrings, printed shorts, tan slides. First time I've worn the bag, tee and duster as they were Christmas presents.

Other ways to wear printed shorts and knit, tan slides and dress.

What I wore:

Jacket: Seed Heritage black printed poncho (Christmas present)
Necklace: thrifted purple wooden bead statement necklace
Tee: grey marle pocket tee (Christmas present)
Shorts: beige soft tie waist shorts
Shoes: black matte slim Havaianas (Christmas present)
Bracelets: the usual
BagPolene numero neuf mini in textured mauve

Why I wore it:

This outfit was a little lighter, with the grey tee and the cute beige belted shorts mum got me for Christmas and this amazing Seed Heritage poncho. All 3 pieces, like the lilac necklace I thrifted, are opshop finds. I had a lot of fun adding an opshopping day to our pre-Christmas shopping routines this year! The neutral shorts of course go with everything, but I couldn't resist adding a little matchy-matchy with the lilac beaded necklace that's so similar to the light lilac shade of the Polene Numero Neuf mini bag. Just wore my black matte Havaianas (also a Christmas gift) as I had a couple errands to run again, and had to pick up a few groceries.

Last worn: lilac necklace, Polene Numero Neuf bag (above). First time I've worn the cape, tee, shorts and Havaianas as they are Christmas presents.

Leopard Print and Blue with Black Denim

Continuing on with wearing more of my new pieces I got for Christmas. My mum, sister and I always have an annual pre-Christmas shopping trip to do our gift shopping, and often pick up things for each other. This year we spent a morning at the opshops too and mum got me these cute leopard print pieces. Wore them with lots of blue and some black denim.

What I wore:

JacketJeanswest Kensley summer tie-dye kimono
Necklace: thrifted blue statement beaded necklace
Cami: Kmart Anko leopard print cami (Christmas present)
Shorts: Jeanswest Heather Bermuda short in black
Shoesslim navy and pink Havaianas
Bracelets: the usual
Bagvintage original Rebecca Minkoff 5-zip in faded electric blue (Christmas present)

Why I wore it:

Like most of the school holidays, this was a difficult day to dress for! We are having a particularly wet summer so I never know if it's going to be a cool and rainy day, or a hot and humid threatening rain but never raining day.

With this cute leopard print spaghetti strap cami I knew I needed some shoulder coverage though so chose this lovely navy tie dye cape to keep my shoulders covered from the sun as we ran a couple of errands. I wasn't sure if the tie dye and the leopard print would look good together so I wore a couple of other blue accessories to tie it all in. And kept the shorts neutral with these black denim shorts. I really liked this outfit and I'm glad I gave the tie dye and leopard a try!

Last worn: tie dye cape, navy necklace, black denim shorts, Havaianas. First time I've worn the leopard print cami and the Rebecca Minkoff 5 zip bag as they are Christmas presents.

Other ways to weartie dye cape and pink shorts, black denim shorts and florals.

What I wore:

Jacket: Kmart orange leopard print cover up (Christmas present)
Tee: teal Strange Planet 'wildly unprepared for the day' graphic tee (Christmas present)
Skirt: thrifted Target black stretch denim skirt
ShoesAdidas Superstar sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
Bag: vintage original Rebecca Minkoff 5-zip in faded electric blue (Christmas present)

Why I wore it:

This was another leopard and blue combination, with this cute orange leopard print cover up and my teal graphic tee. I've been a fan of Nathan Pyle's comics for a while, most of my Threadless tees I wore in my uni days were his designs. And the kids love the Strange Planet series he did, so we all ended up with a Strange Planet tee for Christmas! Mine says 'wildly unprepared for the day' which seems pretty accurate for me!

Wore it with my thrifted black denim skirt and Adidas Superstar sneakers. Added more blue to the teal with this Rebecca Minkoff 5 zip bag, which is great for fitting a book as well as my other essentials. The cover up was a last minute addition and I wasn't sure it worked, but like the outfit above, I wanted to give it a try. And I needed an extra layer over the tee and denim outfit as I took the kids to an airconditioned indoor play area for the morning.

Last worn: black denim skirt, Adidas Superstar sneakers. First time I've worn the leopard print cover up and the teal graphic tee as they are Christmas presents.

Leopard Print Skirt Outfits With Red Saddle Bag

Two different skirt outfits, both following a black and leopard print outfit formula and accessorised with my little red saddle bag that has been getting a lot of wear lately.

What I wore:

Tank: lace bib black swing tank from Mum's wardrobe
Skirt: Target animal print ruffle hem mini skirt
Shoesblack slim Havaianas thongs
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff unlined saddle bag in cherry red

Why I wore it:

This was a busy day, just before Christmas. Had a bunch of errands to run and last minute gifts to pick up as well as the massive pile of wrapping to finish. As it was a hot day I needed something easy and light, this cute ruffle hem leopard print skirt was ideal, and so good with the neutral black lace detail tank. With the leopard print on the skirt, and the lace detail of the tank, I felt this outfit was detailed enough that I didn't need to add a necklace to it. It was also nice to not add another layering piece in the heat. We definitely needed the aircon on by the time my sister came over for dinner.

What I wore:

Necklace: thrifted wood and marble bead thrifted necklace with white string
TeeSass and Bide 'New Day Rising' tee in orange leopard print
Skirt: thrifted Target black stretch denim skirt
ShoesWittner 'Jasmarie' studded sandals
Bracelets: the usual plus Roie Designs black leather Swarovski beaded wrap bracelet
BagRebecca Minkoff unlined saddle bag in cherry red

Why I wore it:

While this outfit follows a similar idea as the one above, with the leopard print, orange bag and another skirt, it looks really different as it's a black denim skirt and a neon leopard print tee. Same red saddle bag though, it was a go-to bag over December! Wore this again to run a couple of errands, and then attend a science event at the library. The kids had a lot of fun, and on such a humid day it was good to enjoy the aircon in the library for a while!

This leopard print tee is one I often pair with denim, I really liked it with the denim skirt. I need to wear it with red more often though! The red saddle bag looked so good with the neon orange. I felt like adding some accessories to this, so went with this black Swarovski wrap bracelet and the neutral beaded necklace so it didn't distract from the fun tee too much.

Last worn: leopard print tee, neutral necklace, black denim skirt, studded sandals, red studded saddle bag (above).

Other ways to wearleopard print tee and jeans, black denim skirt and duster, studded sandals and dressRebecca Minkoff studded saddle bag worn 30 ways.

Navy Tee And Leopard Print Skirt Office Outfits

I have been loving leopard lately, and so I got my leopard print skirts out again for some summer office days. Both of these leopard skirts I paired with navy tees, comfortable Converse and my Louis Vuitton Neverfull tote bag.

What I wore:

Necklace: gold beaded statement multi strand necklace
Tee: Jeanswest Ruby frill sleeve Ric Rac detailed tee in deep iris
Skirt: thrifted ruffle hem leopard print midi skirt
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bracelets: the usual
BagLouis Vuitton MM damier azur Neverfull

Why I wore it:

I decided to wear this navy frill sleeve tee with the leopard print skirt, the navy is a great neutral against the print and surprisingly I hadn't worn navy with this skirt yet. And to showcase the pretty frill sleeve detail on the tee, I didn't add a blazer. Without a blazer, I did try dress this up a little more for the office with the big statement necklace. This gold multi-strand necklace was an opshop find, just like the skirt.

Comfortable Converse for the commute and walking around the office, and my big Louis Vuitton neverfull tote for carrying a few extra things along with my essentials for work. As it was back in December that I wore this, I did a little Christmas shopping in my lunch break!

Last worn: gold statement necklace, navy frill sleeve tee, leopard print midi skirt, Converse, Louis Vuitton Neverfull.

Other ways to wearnavy frill sleeve tee and shorts, leopard print midi skirt with black, Converse and jeansLouis Vuitton Neverfull tote bag worn 30 ways.

30 Ways To Wear: Louis Vuitton Damier Azur Neverfull

What I wore:

Jacket: Jeanswest Nadine 3/4 sleeve dusky pink blazer
EarringsMichael Hill stud earrings with aqua cubic zirconia in sterling silver
Necklace: thrifted Eb&Ive turquoise wooden bead multi strand statement necklace
Tee: thrifted Marcs navy lurex detail foil tee
Skirt: Target animal print ruffle hem mini skirt
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star coast blue
Bracelets: the usual
BagLouis Vuitton MM damier azur Neverfull

Why I wore it:

Unlike the outfit above, I decided to add a blazer with this. I felt that even with the big statement necklace, this shorter leopard print skirt and navy tee was a little too casual for the day I had ahead of me in the office, so it needed the blush blazer. I really like blue and pink together and this blush pink works well with the navy tee and the turquoise multi-strand necklace.

I'm always a little sad the cute lurex detail thread on this tee never shows up in photos - it makes it feel so special when you see it in person! Again I went with Converse, blue ones this time to coordinate with the beaded necklace. And while I didn't need to carry too many extra things with me on this day I wore my Louis Vuitton Neverfull again as it's a good office bag!

Last worn: turquoise multi strand necklace, earrings, blush blazer, lurex navy tee, leopard print skirt, Converse, Louis Vuitton Neverfull (above).

What I Wore For Christmas Day, Eve and Boxing Day

Finally getting around to sharing what I wore for Christmas! Always feels strange sharing Christmas outfits in January, but I'm never to up to date with blogging what I've worn. I hosted Christmas for the family this year so I'm sharing my Christmas eve and Christmas day outfits, as well as what I wore to the in-laws when we celebrated with that side of the family on Boxing day.

What I wore:

Earrings: gold angel stud earrings (Christmas present)
Necklace: double circle hammered pendant necklace (Christmas present)
Dress: Iris Maxi The Label flora print blue and white mini dress (Christmas present)
Shoes: Kmart tan crossover slides (Christmas present)
Bracelets: the usual plus vintage silver charm bracelet and Disney Couture Winnie the Pooh bangle
BagRebecca Minkoff Leo envelope clutch in champagne gold

Why I wore it:

I had planned my Christmas outfit in advance, and then I unwrapped this dress on Christmas day from my sister and knew I just had to wear this instead! It does come with a belt (and has belt loops on the side) but I figured for Christmas day feasting it was best to wear it unbelted. This was beautiful, light and flowy and oh so perfect for a humid Christmas. We were very lucky to avoid major damage from the Christmas day storms that evening.

The sandals and the necklace are both new, from my parents. The Rebecca Minkoff Leo envelope clutch is an old favourite, especially for Christmas. I didn't really need a bag as we stayed home, enjoying time with the family, eating yummy food, only minorly burning the lunch, and watching the kids enjoy all their new toys and presents.

Last worn: Rebecca Minkoff Leo envelope clutch. First time I've worn the dress, necklace and sandals as they were Christmas presents.

Other ways to wearRebecca Minkoff Leo envelope clutch and maxi dress.

What Fits Inside: Rebecca Minkoff Leo Envelope Clutch

What I wore:

Earrings: Kmart glitter gingerbread man earrings
Tee: festive glitter Santa tee
Skirt: thrifted SES Fashions vertical stripe maxi skirt
Shoesblack slim Havaianas thongs
Bracelets: the usual
BagMulberry Lily in maroon metallic suede leopard

Why I wore it:

I wore this for Christmas eve. My sister bought my mum and I these festive tees 10 years ago, they are still going strong! It's a nice tradition to get to wear it. Sadly, the little festive bracelets haven't fared so well and mine is getting harder to wear as the elastic dries out.

As well as baking and decorating a huge pile of Christmas cookies, we made some Christmas deserts, ate lots of snacks, and spent our time doing Christmas craft and watching Christmas movies. It was a really fun way to spend Christmas eve and I look forward to this each year - it's such a special day. Somehow preparing all the food for Christmas eve seems less stressful than preparing Christmas day lunch!

This year we got a make your own Christmas earring kit for one of our crafts and had a lot of fun with it - quite pleased with some of the pieces I made! My mum, sister and I all have matching handmade earrings now.

Last worn: festive Santa tee, striped maxi skirt, Havaianas, Mulberry leopard print Lily bag. First time I've worn the earrings as they were a recent purchase.

Other ways to wearfestive Santa tee and shorts, striped maxi skirt and denim jacket, Mulberry leopard print Lily bag and maxi dress.

Perfect for pregnancyfestive Santa tee in second trimester.

What I wore:

Earrings: DIY green clay Christmas tree earrings
NecklaceStarfish Project Hannah turquoise bead necklace
Dress: thrifted peach and white floral print tiered sundress
Shoes: Kmart tan crossover slides
Bracelets: the usual plus Polka Luka resin bangles in red, orange and teal
BagRebecca Minkoff Leo envelope clutch in champagne gold

Why I wore it:

This is another more casual Christmas outfit! I wore this to go celebrate Christmas with the in-laws on Boxing day. They have their celebration a day later which works out well for everyone. It was a bit of an eventful day, with the Boxing Day storms. It had been a little rumbly and there was some rain for most of the day, but it wasn't too bad until the next wave of storms came over bringing hail. Lots of scrambling to try cover up the cars as with everyone there we couldn't all fit in the garage. Luckily, the hail didn't get big enough to cause any damage. It did make for an interesting drive home later that night though, with debris all over the roads and power and traffic light outages. I somehow also managed to cover the back of my dress in mud - unsure if it was when I was putting the cover on the car in the hail or taking it off after the storm, but thankfully it's all washed out.

As it was such a hot and humid day, again I changed up what I planned to wear and went with this super light tiered sundress. I've added red and green to it before and think the colours work surprisingly well with the orange palm print. So I added the green beaded necklace, red and teal resin bracelet stack, and although it's a little tricky to see, my new Christmas tree earrings I'd made a couple days before on Christmas eve. I thought they matched the necklace nicely. I also wore my new sandals again. The Rebecca Minkoff Leo envelope clutch got another wear, as I didn't need to carry much, just the essentials. I had a separate bag for our snack contributions to add to the festive food spread.

Last worn: tiered sundress, green necklace, resin bracelet stack, sandals (above), Rebecca Minkoff Leo envelope clutch (above). First time I've worn the earrings as I made them on Christmas eve.

Other ways to weartiered sundress layered with a knit, Rebecca Minkoff Leo envelope clutch and pink dress.

Hopefully you had a fun Christmas with your loved ones, and were not impacted by any of the storms.
