What I wore:
Tee: Atmos&Here navy stripe v-neck tee
Skirt: JayJays distressed denim mini skirt
Shoes: thrifted Adidas Superstar sneakers
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff mini MAB tote in plum
Why I wore it:
Wore this for a busy working from home day. I had the school run, a bunch of work to get through, and some errands to run in the afternoon. Simple stripes and denim was a winning combination. Once I picked the kids up from school we headed to one of our neighbours to help them with the flood clean up. She'd been away from her house when the rains came so there were a lot of mementoes she needed help with she hadn't been able to save before the flood, while the stronger people helped with moving out the bigger furniture items. Treated the kids to takeaway for dinner too as it was nice of them to come along with me to help her out. So many neighbours needing help as so many homes went under in the floods here sadly. If you want to, you can donate here to help.I'd picked this little purple MAB tote to wear as I wanted a bit of colour after I put this outfit on - with the blue necklace, striped tee and skirt it was looking a little monochromatic! This is a beautiful shade of purple and was just the pop of colour my outfit needed - I only carried a few essentials with me.

30 Ways To Wear: Purple Rebecca Minkoff Mini MAB Tote Bag
What I wore:
Tee: thrifted navy stripe Coca-Cola logo tee
Skirt: thrifted Target black stretch denim skirt Shoes: thrifted Adidas Superstar sneakers
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff mini MAB tote in plum
Why I wore it:
Another day of working from home and errands! Again I went with a simple striped tee and denim skirt combo. Both the tee and the skirt were opshop finds, just $1 each! The shoes were a $3 thrift find and the mini MAB tote bag, although much more expensive, was a sale find years ago I've worn more than 50 times so this outfit has a great cost per wear!I did think that morning about wearing another bag with this and picking one of my red crossbody bags instead to match the red logo on the tee, but decided to keep things simple and just use this little purple tote I already had all my things in from the day before. Wanted to make the day as easy as possible, the kids were home from school too while I had to work. School had been closed due to more predicted bad weather aggravating the flooding, but as you can see from the pictures the forecast was luckily wrong and it was a nice sunny day.
Last worn: Coca-Cola logo striped tee, black denim skirt, Adidas Superstar sneakers (above), Rebecca Minkoff mini MAB tote (above).
Other ways to wear: Coca-Cola logo striped tee worn 2 ways, black denim skirt and kimono, Adidas Superstar sneakers and shorts, Rebecca Minkoff mini MAB tote worn 30 ways.
Perfect for pregnancy: Rebecca Minkoff mini MAB tote in second trimester.
How You Can Wear It:
Striped tee and denim is an always classic combo. A denim skirt and a striped tee is a good choice to wear for early autumn days like these when it's not too cold and a simple outfit is all you need. You can add colour with a crossbody bag as I've done here too.
So nice, I have a weakness with striped tees and sweaters...
ReplyDeletehave a great week,

Your clean up after the flood sounds so much like our clean ups after hurricanes. It's always so nice to see neighbors come together and help out.

DeleteI love that bag! The color is so fun.
ReplyDeleteYou simply cannot go wrong with a striped tee, and that purple bag provides a welcome pop of colour. So nice of you and your neighbours to help each other out. I can't even imagine our home being flooded, it must be devastating! xxx
ReplyDeleteYes it was really bad for some of our neighbours - we have been so lucky, and it was good to be able to help out where we could.
DeleteThat's a cute purple bag.
ReplyDeleteVery comfy and casual today. I like both outfits. And how lovely of the family to pitch in and help the neighbor. I hope she didn't lose too much from the flooding.

Oh no! It's sad about the flood. Nice of you to help out.
ReplyDeleteMica,
ReplyDeleteIt is always heart warming to hear of people chipping in and helping others...Flooding is terrible and no stranger to my area as we have a large river running through it with many streams that feed into it....Love the purple purse!! Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by!! Glad you enjoyed seeing my Easter Tree!! Stay safe, healthy and happy!
Hugs,
Deb
Sorry to hear you have had flooding in the past :( It can be so devastating!
DeleteSo good of you to help out your neighbors. I can only imagine the level of mess a flood makes and all the work of not only cleaning up but then also repairing the damage. I really like both of these simple outfits. I am looking to buy some new sneakers for this summer because they go so well with skirts and dresses, while also being completely functional. Have a great last couple of work days.

Yes there was a lot of devastation, it was nice to see so many people around helping out.
DeleteI love both outfits, but I feel like your like an artist with clothes and fashion tbh, because the way you put together patterns and colors is and art. I would have never though of pairing clothes with your bags like that. I'm so sorry to hear about the floods, as someone who has been through themselves, it is always heartbreaking because even when you can prepare you will always lose something valuable and important. I had to google opshop, but in context I thought it might mean thrift store, and it's similar, but I like how yall's is for charity. :) But awesome when you get a great deal like that. You have to love when the weather forecast sucks, but then it turns out completely wrong and you have an awesome day lol.
ReplyDeleteloveiszero
Yep opshop is what Americans call a thrift shop :) I am glad you liked my outfits too!
DeleteLove that purple bag it goes with so many looks.

I use the same bag for weeks before deciding to change it because I cant be bothered to change it up for every outfit. That purple bag is really cute.

Sometimes I do that, but mostly I like swapping my bags around every few days to use more of my massive handbag collection, haha!
DeleteAw, that warms my heart that folks are stepping up to help people who've been devastated by the floods. Kudos to you for doing your part, Mica, and for having your boys help too.
ReplyDeleteLove the purple bag - such a great colour - and you know I love a good cost-per-wear outfit! Well done!
It's good to see so many people helping and I wanted the kids to focus on that as they were quite upset seeing everything come so close to our house.
DeleteThis is the cutest little purse! I've really been wearing only one or two of my bags lately and need to take my others out for a spin!
ReplyDeletewww.chezmireillefashiontravelmom.com
It's always good to take another bag out every now and then! :)
DeleteWeather's been wonky here too with terrible flooding. It's so nice of you and the kids to help out the neighbors. I love both looks you styled with the denim skirt. It's always lovely to see pops of color in the way you introduced your accessories. I hope the weather's now improved there. Wishing you a wonderful weekend ahead <3 xo
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you have had flooding too! We are lucky things have dried out here and most of our neighbours are back in their homes :)
DeleteVery cute outfit. I love jeans skirts and that they are back!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about the ongoing floor clean-up. At least you looked great doing it! :) That purple MAB tote is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteYes luckily all the heavy lifting had already been done!
DeleteI love these looks! You're definitely making me want to find a denim skirt for spring, I love these paired with the sneakers. And the color of that bag is so fun too!
ReplyDeleteI love to see neighbors helping neighbors. So awesome for your boys to help out. You're teaching them wonderful things Mica early on. They will grow up to be wonderful men. I love a striped tee. Nice vneck! Love the Coca-Cola outfit!
