Yellow Tees and Printed Pieces

Two yellow tee and skirts outfits I wore recently, both with statement printed pieces and a neutral little tan crossbody bag. This Rebecca Minkoff almond MAB camera bag goes with everything!

What I wore:

Jacket: Jeanswest Delilah long line kimono in green floral
Necklace: thrifted gold and pastel blue beaded necklace with grey string
Tee: Jeanswest essential v-neck tee in elfin yellow
Skirt: JayJays distressed denim mini skirt
ShoesAdidas Superstar sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff MAB Camera Bag in almond

Why I wore it:

We had a very fun afternoon planned! It was threatening to rain, but it held off in the morning, as the boys waited patiently for me to wrap up working from home so we could head to the park for a playdate. Unfortunately, the rain set in later, and we couldn't have a playdate at the park as planned. Luckily I was able to quickly get some tickets to a nearby indoor play area, along with what felt like the rest of Brisbane, and the boys were able to run around and let off some steam.

I'd picked this outfit to be colourful but comfortable. The bleached denim skirt and pastel yellow tee are really nice together, and the green floral duster on top added a little warmth when the weather cooled off later with the rain, and some extra colour for video calls as I worked.

Comfortable Adidas Superstar sneakers were my choice for closed in shoes in case of rain - I was glad I'd picked them over sandals when the rain did set in!

Last worn: green floral duster, pastel yellow tee, blue and gold necklace, denim mini skirt, Adidas Superstar sneakers, Rebecca Minkoff MAB camera bag.

Other ways to weargreen floral duster and jeans, pastel yellow tee and maxi skirt, denim mini skirt and leopard print, Adidas Superstar sneakers and dress, Rebecca Minkoff MAB camera bag and shorts.

What I wore:

TeeCotton On The One fitted v tee in washed summer mango
Skirt: Target animal print ruffle hem mini skirt
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in white
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff MAB Camera Bag in almond

Why I wore it:

Another yellow tee outfit, this time with leopard print instead of florals. I wanted something easy and again light to wear. It was a warmer day, with an eventful morning thanks to some wildlife in our garden! I won't go into detail, but suffice to say I needed a cheerful and bright outfit to take my mind off of the morning's events.

This bright mango tee and the simple animal print skirt were exactly what I needed. I liked how well the almond MAB camera bag worked with the bright yellow tee as well as the browns in the animal print skirt. Comfortable Converse were a must too as we set off for DFO outlets to do a bit of birthday shopping for an upcoming birthday. It was a lovely relaxed day, we were very successful in our shopping and we all walked away for something with ourselves too, as usually happens! I picked up a tee in the last store we were in, reduced to just $10!

Navy Dresses And Cobalt Jumbo Love Bag

Two working from home days with some appointments for the kids had me reaching for easy and comfortable dresses. Both these navy dresses I accessorised with statement thrifted necklace, and my cobalt blue Rebecca Minkoff Jumbo Love bag. I like wearing different shades of blues together, and cobalt and navy are a great combo!

What I wore:

Necklace: thrifted burgundy and cream beaded statement necklace
DressAtmos&Here navy stripe tee dress
ShoesAdidas Superstar sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff quilted jumbo Love bag in cobalt

Why I wore it:

I had an early start to my work day at home as I had to take my son to an appointment just before school started. As it was a little cooler in the autumn morning I wore this long sleeved navy and black striped shift dress. I did wish in the afternoon I hadn't worn something quite so cosy, when the sun came out!

I did like this outfit otherwise though - was nice for the appointment and comfortable for working at my desk the rest of the time. I like the cobalt of the Jumbo Love bag against the navy and black stripes, and the beaded necklace adds a nice contrasting bit of colour with the burgundy beads and neutral natural wood beads.

Perfect for pregnancynavy shift dress in second trimester.

What I wore:

Necklace: thrifted flat peach statement bead necklace
Dress: Kmart short sleeve tiered knit dress in indigo ink with pockets
Shoes: Kmart tan crossover slides
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff quilted jumbo Love bag in cobalt

Why I wore it:

Another work from home and appointment day, another navy dress! This tiered one from Kmart is the best as it has pockets! Not that I needed the pockets with the jumbo love bag, it has enough space for all of my essentials and more.

With the cobalt blue and the navy tiered dress, again I felt like I needed a little extra colour, so I added this thrifted orange necklace for an extra pop. I really like orange and blue. Just added the tan slides for being comfortable - after school pick up I had to take the kids for an appointment but I didn't have to drive far.

Last worn: navy tiered dress, orange necklace, tan slides, Rebecca Minkoff Jumbo Love bag (above).

Pink Kmart Dresses In The Office With Blue Mini MAC Bag

Two very similar outfits I wore to work recently, both with Kmart fuchsia pink dresses and my little blue Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC bag.

What I wore:

Necklace: navy and silver circle pendant tassel necklace
Dress: Kmart short sleeve tiered jersey dress in Fuchsia
ShoesAdidas Superstar sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff 2012 sky grey mini MAC bag

Why I wore it:

Surprisingly, despite loving blue and pink together, I haven't worn this sky blue Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC bag with this fuchsia pink tiered midi dress before. It seems like such an obvious combo! It was good to give it a wear, and to wear something bright for another day in the office.

Added some comfortable Adidas Superstar sneakers too, which were a very practical choice as it ended up being a pretty rainy day. Thankfully the big work issued bag I have for my work laptop has plenty space for an umbrella.

Last worn: Kmart tiered midi dress, navy tassel necklace, Adidas Superstar sneakers, Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC bag.

Other ways to wearKmart tiered midi dress and yellow, Adidas Superstar sneakers and jeans, Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC bag and shorts.

What I wore:

Necklace: Gold beaded statement multi strand necklace
Dressthrifted Kmart short sleeve godet skirt linen blend dress in fuchsia
Belt: came with dress
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star coast blue
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff 2012 sky grey mini MAC bag

Why I wore it:

Since I liked the combination of the fuchsia pink dress with the little bluey-grey Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC bag in the outfit above, I repeated it again a few days later!

This Kmart linen blend dress was an opshop find and I really like it with blue. Even though the blue Converse sneakers aren't the same shade as the little mini MAC bag I liked the two blues together, and I've worn these Converse with this dress many times before. Added the gold beaded statement necklace to dress it up a little more for the office. Just like the two different blues, I think the two different golds in the necklace and on the hardware and strap of the bag still work together, despite being different.

This dress is one that makes me smile even if I am just wearing it into the office!

Maxi Skirts With Colourful Tees and Matching Bags

Making the most of some very quiet days in the office lately with just a couple of my team members to wear these simple maxi skirts and plain tee outfits. I did add some big statement necklaces to try dress up the tees a little, and had a little bit of matchy-matchy with my accessories, wearing bags in similar colours to the tees in each outfit.

What I wore:

Necklace: thrifted burgundy and cream beaded statement necklace
Tee:  thrifted Target crew neck tee coral red
Skirt: thrifted Crossroads black ruffle hem maxi skirt
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bracelets: the usual plus black beaded bracelet stack and red beaded bracelet
BagRebecca Minkoff Avery crossbody bag in burgundy

Why I wore it:

This was one of those days where nothing goes to plan, starting off with being late in the morning! Always the worst and meant I was rushing into the office after school drop off. At least I'd planned my outfit the night before so it was easy to throw on and go in the morning.

Felt this black maxi skirt was due another wear. I see a lot more maxi skirts and dresses in the office than I ever did pre-pandemic, and I love it! With the plain black maxi skirt I added more colour with the coral tee, and then stuck with the red theme adding this burgundy beaded multi strand necklace and the little burgundy Rebecca Minkoff Avery crossbody bag. Added yet another shade of red with the red beaded bracelet in my bracelet stack too. Even though none of the shades of reds match exactly, I really liked them all together in this outfit.

Last worn: coral tee, multi strand necklace, black maxi skirt, black Converse, Rebecca Minkoff Avery crossbody bag.

Other ways to wearcoral tee and jeans, black maxi skirt and leather jacket, black Converse and pencil skirt, Rebecca Minkoff Avery crossbody bag and floral dress.

Perfect for pregnancyConverse in second trimester.

What I wore:

Necklace: thrifted Eb&Ive black wooden bead multi strand statement necklace
Tee: thrifted Cotton On The one crew tee in green
Skirt: thrifted ruffle hem leopard print midi skirt
ShoesAdidas Superstar sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff emerald green mini 5-zip rocker bag

Why I wore it:

Another quiet day in the office - although I wasn't running late and rushing around on this day and it went a whole lot better! Since I liked the outfit above so much, I did the next best thing for this office day and wore the same outfit formula with different pieces. Repeating an outfit formula is something I like to do a lot, less effort than thinking up a whole new outfit!

This leopard print maxi skirt has been a firm favourite since I thrifted it and I thought I'd try pair it with green for something a little different. This green crew neck tee is an opshop find too! And while not the perfect match with the green Rebecca Minkoff mini 5 zip bag I did like the different shades of green together.

As in the outfit above, I added the big wooden multi strand statement necklace to try make this a little more dressed up for the office.

Last worn: green crew neck tee, black statement necklace, leopard print maxi skirt, Adidas Superstar sneakers, Rebecca Minkoff green mini 5-zip bag.

Other ways to weargreen crew neck tee and pencil skirt, leopard print maxi skirt with red, Adidas Superstar sneakers and dress, Rebecca Minkoff green mini 5-zip bag and jeans.

Tiered Linen Dresses And Cobalt Jumbo Love Bag

Two colourful, tiered linen dresses worn with my cobalt Rebecca Minkoff jumbo Love bag for a pop of colour.

What I wore:

Necklace: navy and silver circle pendant tassel necklace
Dress: Kmart short sleeve tiered frill mini dress in Papaya
Shoes: Kmart tan crossover slides
Bracelets: the usual plus silver and turquoise bracelet stack
BagRebecca Minkoff quilted jumbo Love bag in cobalt

Why I wore it:

This is such a comfortable dress! I love the bright papaya colour, it makes a beautiful statement on its own. I decided to add some blue with it this time when I wore it. The navy tassel necklace and silver and turquoise bracelet stacks are both different shades from the cobalt jumbo Love bag, but I think all the shades of blue worked well with the brightness of this dress.

The cobalt Rebecca Minkoff Jumbo love bag was a practical choice too! I had the school run, working from home, and then an appointment for my son in the afternoon. The jumbo Love bag meant I could easily bring a book along to read while waiting at the appointment.

Last worn: tiered linen dress, navy tassel necklace, turquoise and silver bracelet stack, tan slides, Rebecca Minkoff cobalt Jumbo Love bag.

Other ways to weartiered linen dress and pastel bag, tan slides and maxi skirt, Rebecca Minkoff cobalt Jumbo Love bag and jeans.

What I wore:

Necklace: thrifted blue statement beaded necklace
DressJeanswest Lilah tiered linen dress in orange
ShoesAdidas Superstar sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff quilted jumbo Love bag in cobalt

Why I wore it:

More blue accessories with a bright citrus-y tiered dress! This orange linen dress is one my mum got me for Christmas and just like the more yellowish one above, I like wearing this orange dress with blue. Again, the necklace and bag are different shades of blue and not an exact match, but I liked the two together against the orange dress.

Unlike the first outfit, I wore this on a bit of a wet day so I wore my Adidas Superstar sneakers again. I liked the closed in shoes to keep my feet dry in the rain, although thankfully it did clear up a little later in the morning. I had the school run, working from home, and an appointment for my son so had a little bit of driving to do and comfortable sneakers were much needed for that.

Last worn: orange tiered linen dress, navy lozenge necklace, Adidas Superstar sneakers, Rebecca Minkoff cobalt Jumbo Love bag (above).

Other ways to wearorange tiered linen dress and tote bag, Adidas Superstar sneakers and printed dress, Rebecca Minkoff cobalt Jumbo Love bag and pencil skirt.

Black and Grey Office Pencil Skirt Outfits With Lilac Polene Numero Neuf Mini Bag

Just like last week, sharing a couple more neutral black and grey outfits I wore into the office. Paired both of these grey pencil skirts with some black tees and then added a little colour with my lilac purple Polene Numero Neuf mini bag.

What I wore:

Necklace: thrifted purple wooden bead statement necklace
Tee: thrifted Kmart short sleeve cotton modal tee in black
SkirtAtmos&Here grey marle jersey pencil skirt
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bracelets: the usual
BagPolene numero neuf mini in textured mauve

Why I wore it:

It was nice wearing this stretchy knit pencil skirt again! It was a firm staple pre-pandemic, and being a nice stretchy jersey it's incredibly comfortable to wear. Don't know why it hasn't hit 30 wears yet! I am starting to delve into the "workwear" area of my wardrobe more often with dressing for the office now so hopefully it will hit that figure soon. It goes well with anything, but keeping it simple for this day at work I wore it with the plain black tee (an opshop find) and a little matchy-matchy with the black Converse too.

Although the mauve Polene numero neuf mini bag is not quite the same shade of lilac as the statement necklace, I really like the two accessories together and the little extra colour they added to this otherwise neutral monochromatic outfit.

Last worn: black modal tee, lilac statement necklace, grey jersey pencil skirt, black Converse, Polene Numero Neuf mini bag.

Other ways to wearblack modal tee and midi skirt, grey jersey pencil skirt and blazer, black Converse and shorts, Polene Numero Neuf mini bag with dress.

Perfect for pregnancygrey jersey pencil skirt in third trimesterConverse in second trimester.

What I wore:

Necklace: thrifted Mix Apparel clover designer inspired necklace
TeeAtmos & Here black essential v-neck tee
Skirt: Target textured silver pencil skirt
ShoesAdidas Superstar sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
BagPolene numero neuf mini in textured mauve

Why I wore it:

Incredibly similar outfit to the one above, just with slightly messier hair as my straightener broke that morning which is not ideal when you're already pushed for time to get out the door! Much like the grey jersey pencil skirt above, this textured Target pencil skirt is becoming a staple and I feel I almost wear it weekly! It's great for in the office and I know I'll continue to wear it as the weather cools as it's a lovely thick cosy textured fabric.

I kept the necklace matching the colour scheme of my outfit this time with the black and silver necklace, but still had my little lilac Polene numero neuf mini bag for a touch of colour. It just works so well in a neutral outfit like the two in these posts!

Last worn: black v-neck tee, clover necklace, textured pencil skirt, Adidas Superstar sneakers, Polene Numero Neuf mini bag (above).

Other ways to wearblack v-neck tee and jeans, textured pencil skirt with green, Adidas Superstar sneakers and dress, Polene Numero Neuf mini bag and shorts.

Black And Leopard Maxi Skirt And Blazer Outfits

Sticking again to an easy repeatable outfit formula with leopard print, camis, ruffle hem skirts and blazers for some casual office wear. Both outfits accessorised with my little lilac Polene Numero Neuf mini bag.

What I wore:

Jacketthrifted Zara black blazer
Necklace: Colette marble and gold pendant drop long necklace
CamiNew Look black cross over back strappy cami top
Skirt: thrifted ruffle hem leopard print midi skirt
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
BagPolene numero neuf mini in textured mauve

Why I wore it:

My sister gave me this pretty black cross back cami from a wardrobe clear-out she had just before Christmas. I have the same one in orange, so of course I was happy to take this black version off her hands! With the cross over straps on the back and the spaghetti straps I definitely needed to cover this up in the office so I added this comfortable jersey blazer. This leopard print maxi was an opshop find and I've been wearing it fairly often since I thrifted it. It fits in perfectly with the very casual business casual outfits around the office lately, especially with the blazer to dress it up.

With the little lilac Polene Numero Neuf mini bag I added a touch more gold and purple with this marble necklace which I thought was a good pop against all the black.

Last worn: black blazer, marble necklace, leopard print midi skirt, Converse, Polene Numero Neuf mini bag. First time I've worn the cami as it's from my sister's wardrobe.

Other ways to wearblack blazer and jeans, leopard print midi skirt and red tee, Converse and shorts, Polene Numero Neuf mini bag and dress.

Perfect for pregnancy: black blazer in third trimesterConverse in second trimester.

What I wore:

Necklace: thrifted flat navy statement bead necklace
TopKmart Anko leopard print cami
Skirt: thrifted Crossroads black ruffle hem maxi skirt
ShoesAdidas Superstar sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
BagPolene numero neuf mini in textured mauve

Why I wore it:

A very similar outfit to the one above, this time around with a grey blazer and a leopard print cami and black maxi skirt. This skirt felt like it was overdue another wear, and being a very similar shape to the leopard print one I wore above I figured I'd give it a try with a blazer for the office too. I really liked this outfit! The leopard print cami is a fun one and I just added a neutral navy necklace to let the cami and the lilac bag be the focus points of my outfit.

Last worn: grey jersey blazer, heart stud earrings, navy flat beaded necklace, leopard print cami, black maxi skirt, Adidas Superstar sneakers, Polene Numero Neuf mini bag (above).

Blue Printed Dresses And Lilac Polene Numero Neuf Mini Bag

Two blue and white printed dresses I wore recently, both accessorised with my little lilac Numero Neuf mini bag which has been a constant staple for me since I got it for Christmas! Blue and purple work so well together, in both shades of the print of these blue dresses.

What I wore:

Earrings: handmade pink star clay earrings made by my sister
NecklaceTiffany & Co pink double heart tag pendant necklace
Dress: Iris Maxi The Label flora print blue and white mini dress
Belt: came with dress
Shoes: Kmart tan crossover slides
Bracelets: the usual
BagPolene numero neuf mini in textured mauve

Why I wore it:

Wore this for a wonderful day down the coast at my parents. It was nice to give this pretty light blue flora print dress another wear! I wore it on Christmas day after I unwrapped it, without the belt, and this time around I decided to try belting it to make it look a little different. Wore my tan slides with it again, they also have been a staple since I unwrapped them on Christmas morning!

This dress was perfect for the heat and I felt suitably dressed for lunch and some family time. As I didn't need to carry much, this little lilac numero neuf mini bag got yet another wear. I liked the pastel against the blue and white print of the dress. Added a little extra colour with the pink star earrings. Blue, pink and purple are so good together, it's such a nice trio. Even if the pink from the earrings was such a small bit of pink!

Last worn: pink clay earrings, Tiffany necklace, blue print tiered dress, tan slides, lilac Polene Numero Neuf mini bag.

Other ways to wearblue print tiered dress worn unbelted, tan slides and shorts, lilac Polene Numero Neuf mini bag and pink.

What I wore:

Necklace: Tiffany & Co silver 5th Avenue notes heart pendant necklace
Dress: Jeanswest 'Chelsea' printed dress

Bracelets: the usual

Why I wore it:

Not such a fun day as the outfit above, but the heat and humidity called for a similar outfit. Throwing on a dress for an instant outfit is so easy and with the light viscose of this dress, good for the weather. Had a day with the school run and working from home, so dressed this down a little with the Adidas Superstar sneakers. Again I went with my little lilac Numero Neuf mini bag. It's just as good with the navy and white tile print on this dress as it was with the lighter blue print on the first dress.

This was also the 31st wear for this dress! I'm surprised it's taken me so long to hit 30 wears with it but I'm glad I got there in the end, it is such a classic and works well in my wardrobe.

Office Outfits: Textured Pencil Skirts And Black Tops

With the summer holidays ending, it's back to the office for me. Still sticking with my mix of working from home some days and working in the office on others. Kept things easy for the return to work life with black tops and textured pencil skirts. And added a little colour with my Polene numero neuf mini bag.

What I wore:

Necklace: silver twisted chain necklace
Tank: Kmart linen blend textured black tank
SkirtCotton On 'Mica' mesh spot skirt in dusty pink
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bracelets: the usual
BagPolene numero neuf mini in textured mauve

Why I wore it:

I love this twisted metal necklace against the v-neckline of this linen blend tank. I wasn't sure it would look so good when I added the bag, which has gold hardware, with the silver necklace making such a statement. But I think they were enough of a distance away in my outfit that they worked.

And the lilac bag works well with the pastel pink of this textured polka dot pencil skirt. I've had it for years and I'm always surprised I haven't yet hit 30 wears with it!

Added comfortable Converse for the commute and I did consider a blazer with this, but it was much too hot to want to add the additional layer.

Last worn: linen blend tank, pink polka dot pencil skirt, Converse, Polene numero neuf mini bag. First time I've worn the necklace as it was a Christmas present.

Other ways to wearlinen blend tank and jeans, pink polka dot pencil skirt and peplum top, Converse and dress, Polene numero neuf mini bag and linen dress.

Perfect for pregnancypink polka dot pencil skirt in first trimesterConverse in second trimester.

What I wore:

Necklace: Tiffany & Co silver 5th Avenue notes heart pendant necklace layered with Tiffany & Co pink double heart tag pendant necklace
Top: Kmart black batwing button up blouse (Christmas present)
Skirt: Target textured silver pencil skirt (Christmas present)
ShoesAdidas Superstar sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
BagPolene numero neuf mini in textured mauve

Why I wore it:

I really liked this outfit! Both the top and the skirt are pieces mum picked up for me on our opshopping day before Christmas. The texture on the skirt is such a nice detail to differentiate it from my other grey pencil skirts, and it's very cosy in the cool aircon at work. I wasn't sure the shape of the outfit would work with the batwing blouse over the pencil skirt but I'm pleased I gave it a go. It was so comfortable and it got a few compliments in the office!

Added some layered Tiffany necklaces for a little detail near the neckline and again my little lilac Polene bag. With the black and grey outfit, some colour was definitely needed, and as I was working near the colleague who had let me try on her numero neuf mini before making the decision to get it, I was excited to show her what one I'd picked for Christmas!

Again went with practical sneakers - the Adidas Superstar sneakers are good for a rainy commute.

Last worn: Tiffany heart necklace, Tiffany notes necklace, Adidas Superstar sneakers, Polene numero neuf mini bag (above). First time I've worn the top and the pencil skirt as they are Christmas gifts.
