Two Ways To Wear Grey Kmart Leopard Print Tee In Winter

I saw this leopard print tee in Kmart and was tempted to buy it, at just $9. I decided I didn't need another grey tee though and put it back. When I stumbled across it again at just $2, I knew I had to get it! It's so soft and the leopard print is nice and subtle, it's so easy to wear! I've worn it two different ways below.

What I wore:

Why I wore it:

Such a simple mum outfit: jeans, a tee, and Converse. Easily made suitable for winter with a cosy cardigan on top. To make this outfit a little more interesting, I went with bright green skinny jeans. While not as cheap as the leopard print tee, they were an opshop find and so also affordable, at just $5.

The green jeans and navy cardigan are a colour combination I often wear together, and I thought they complimented the neutral grey tee nicely. An easy outfit for a day at the playground and the library with the boys.


Last worn: navy waterfall cardigan, circle pendant necklace, green skinny jeans, Converse, Rebecca Minkoff Regan bag. First time I've worn the tee as it was a recent purchase.

Why I wore it:

A busy day meant another easy outfit for mum life - this maxi skirt is a firm favourite, and the grey leopard print tee with it created a rather monochromatic outfit, especially with the leather jacket. I needed the jacket in the cooler morning but with a day of rushing around to appointments, it came off before lunchtime.

This outfit wasn't as colourful as the first one, so I couldn't resist adding a little extra colour to this with the mustard Rebecca Minkoff mirco Regan bag. Such a fun pop of colour!

WeekdayWear Linkup: Printed Wrap Dresses And Colourful Scarves

For today's weekday wear, I'm layering up some wrap dresses for the office with colourful scarves.

Finding the early morning starts in winter a little hard - getting out of bed in the cold before the sun is up and trying to take photos when the sun hasn't been up very long aren't easy things to do!

What I wore:

Why I wore it:

It's not the first time I've layered a tee under this faux wrap dress - I really liked this cobalt one with the print though! I wanted to add a scarf for a little extra warmth and wasn't sure which one to go for when I saw this hot pink one hanging up - I feel it pulled out the pink in the print quite nicely!

With all of the colour I wanted a neutral bag so went with my trusty Rebecca Minkoff Regan satchel - the navy colour goes with everything. I really liked this colourful outfit combination, kept me cosy and cheerful on a cold day in the office. (I did add a jacket on top of this but had to take the pics without it so you could see the sleeves of the tee!).

Why I wore it:

As this wrap dress has longer sleeves, I didn't layer a tee under this, sticking with my usual singlet for a little extra coverage. The black and white zigzag print on the dress is so fun to wear and a classic black and white colour scheme meant any colourful scarf would look good with this! I decided to go with the burgundy foil feather print scarf, I really liked the combination.

Again I wore my Rebecca Minkoff Regan bag, such a good bag for work and it handles the rain well - I once accidentally spilled an entire bottle of water in it!

Layering Maxi Dresses For Winter With Tees, Leather Jackets and Ankle Boots

I like to wear my dresses year-round, and an easy way to change up the look of a dress is by adding a tee on top. In winter it's an extra layer of warmth too! I'm wearing a frequent favourite maxi dress and a sparingly worn one for two different tee over maxi dresses looks.

Why I wore it:

Wore this for my eldest boy's birthday party! Crazy to think he's 5 years old now! We celebrated at an indoor play area with his kindy friends - nice and easy party as I didn't have to entertain a room of kindergarteners or clean up after them 😂

For something a little different, with all the animal print skirts that are around at the moment, I decided to give this pretty maxi dress a wear. It's definitely much too glam for a kids birthday party (I've worn it before to a wedding) but dressed down with ankle boots and a plain tee I thought it worked nicely as a skirt. I really liked this outfit, even if the dress as a skirt did slide down a bit - I think a belt is needed to keep it in place next time, I just wore it with the halter neck around my waist so it didn't show under the tee.

It felt a bit monochromatic for a birthday party, so I added a little extra colour with the blush tassel necklace and purple mini MAB tote bag.

Why I wore it:

This dress is one I can't wear in the middle of winter, the little crochet gaps between the tiers make it a bit too chilly on a cold day, but for a cold morning and warmer day it was perfect. I wore this out to church and actually ended up taking the leather jacket off in the afternoon as it was too warm.

I like wearing this tee over maxi dresses, so although it's the first time I've worn this tee and dress together it's not the first time I've layered this tee over a dress. It's supposed to be a cropped style, but being petite it hits as the perfect point for me so it makes it easy to wear over a long dress!

The little Rebecca Minkoff love bag I wanted to get out for another wear. Usually just a special occasion / night out bag, I thought it would look good with the coral print on this maxi dress, even if it's more peach than pink. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that my new smaller wallet fits in this bag so expect to see it worn more often now I don't have to worry about taking things out of my wallet to swap into the bag when I use it.

In summer a maxi dress is a nice easy all-in-one outfit option. You can layer a maxi dress up for cooler weather too, adding a tee on top for more warmth as well as a leather jacket and ankle boots. A few more layers than you need in summer, but still quite an easy outfit to pull together.

Striped Tees and Colourful Skinny Jeans With Cross Body Bags In Winter

Winter weather means getting my fun collection of colourful denim out to enjoy! A simple striped tee and jeans outfit is easy mum style, with a cosy cardi on top for Brisbane's cold winter mornings.

Why I wore it:

I really struggled with what to wear when I pulled this outfit together! We had a messy play morning booked in for the boys, and I had some older clothes for them to wear. For me it was a little harder as I didn't want to get anything dirty 😅

Went with these green jeans as they are an opshop find and so not an expensive loss if they were ruined, this wool cardi that's already starting to look a little old and a striped tee to disguise any possible paint spills 😂 The Louis Vuitton speedy bandouliere is waterproof and easy to wipe clean so that was an obvious choice.

The boys had a fun time and although they were covered in the fake 'mud' I managed to keep my outfit clean! There was none of the paint there was last time that refused to wash out of their clothes.

A nice quiet stay at home mum day with the boys. Felt like it had been a while since I'd worn this striped tee, so got it out for another wear. With purple jeans for something different, and the blush pink Rebecca Minkoff Darren bag as I like pink and purple together. Easy outfit for a cooler day.

I like belting cardigans over dresses! It's a fun way to add more colour and it works perfectly for days in the office as I'm usually throwing a cardigan over my outfit anyway with the cold aircon!

So happy that the winter weather is here in Brisbane and it's cool enough to get my cardigans out again! This one was an awesome $2 opshop find at my favourite opshop which sadly closed down. I love the way the mustard looks with the beige animal print dress, it's a nice combination, and even though the cardigan is shorter than the dress I think it works so nicely belted.

Since I'd picked the gold glitter belt to wear I picked some gold necklaces to wear to match. The navy Rebecca Minkoff Regan bag is a great neutral, go-with-everything bag and the perfect size for work.

Why I wore it:

Again wearing the same outfit formula, just with different pieces! I still had a little leopard print in my outfit though, with these fun ballet flats.

Again I matched my necklace to the belt, matching the black together even though the gold hardware on the belt and silver hardware on the necklace are different. I really like this House of Harlow necklace, an old style that was popular years ago but a necklace I still enjoy wearing.

This navy cardigan has been a frequent go-to this winter, it goes with everything, much like the Rebecca Minkoff Regan bag, and I like how it looked with the berry toned dress. Which is so pink in person but always looks more red in photos!

Tee Dresses Layered For Winter: Anniversary Weekend

Still playing catch-up with blog posts, as I wore these outfits a few weeks ago! We celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary at the end of May. It was a big one for us, with our house build completed, moving into the new house, and a trip overseas to Europe and back to Scotland, where we first went together after our engagement. This time with the kids in tow! With all of these big things I was expecting a quiet weekend for our anniversary, even though hubby had told me to keep the weekend free.

He surprised me with a kid-free weekend away on the Gold Coast, in the same hotel we celebrated out first wedding anniversary in! It was a wonderful surprise!

What I wore:

Why I wore it:

When hubby let me know what the surprise was I knew instantly I was going to wear some of my dresses that hadn't been worn in a while! I worry this one is a little too short for days with the boys, but for a weekend away it was perfect! As we were driving down I noticed a sign advertising Seafire - a big fireworks event on the beach. This wasn't the perfect outfit for that - although my big blanket scarf did come in helpful to shelter us from a rain shower and keep us warm as we sat on the beach - but it was fun to attend the show anyway. I've never seen fireworks on the beach before, really enjoyed it!

The vintage Chanel bag was another must-have due to being kid-free! It's lambskin so a bit too delicate for me to wear it around the boys very often! It fit just the essentials and my camera inside which was nice.

Why I wore it:

Our second day on the coast, another tee dress! This one was a spring / summer favourite when I bought it when my oldest was a baby, but when he got mobile it got less and less wear. I usually wear it as a top with a skirt over it to make the length a little more practical for running around with the kids. But being kid-free, it was easy to wear with tights and ankle boots. Winter on the Gold Coast is still a little chilly!

This mustard scarf is a great combination with the botanical print on the dress, it compliments the yellow nicely. Again, a simple outfit that I enjoyed wearing!
