Pink and Leopard Print Outfits With Sorbet Balenciaga City Bag

Two different outfits for working from home days with added appointments thrown in. Both featuring pink and leopard print, a combination I really enjoy wearing! And my pretty sorbet pink Balenciaga city bag that was due another wear.

What I wore:

Jacket: thrifted no label leopard print cover up with waist tie
Necklace: mixed metal hammered pendant necklace
Tee:  Cotton On deep v tee in washed desert rose
Shorts: thrifted Jeanswest distressed denim shorts
ShoesSketchers Bountiful navy fabric sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
BagBalenciaga RH classic city in 2010 sorbet

Why I wore it:

Needed a comfortable and easy outfit for the school run, working from home, and a physio appointment. Again, I went for shorts and tee, which has become a go-to outfit formula for me this year!

It's not the first time I've worn this leopard print cover up with pink, I really like the combination. But it's the first time I've worn this awesome super-soft pink tee with it. With the print from the cover up, plain shorts were needed and these cuffed distressed denim shorts go with everything.

Last worn: leopard print cover up, gold and silver necklace, pale pink teedistressed denim shorts, Sketchers, Balenciaga sorbet city bag.

Other ways to wearleopard print cover up and teal, pale pink tee and jeans, distressed denim shorts and stripes, Sketchers and printed shorts, Balenciaga sorbet city bag worn 30 ways.

Perfect for pregnancyBalenciaga sorbet city bag in third trimester.

What I wore:

Necklace: Kmart black and gold double strand beaded necklace
TeeCle The Label Charlotte tee in ombre rose
Skirt: Target animal print ruffle hem mini skirt
Shoes: Kmart tan crossover slides
Bracelets: the usual plus faux pearl and gold beaded bracelet stack
BagBalenciaga RH classic city in 2010 sorbet

Why I wore it:

This was a very hot and humid day so I reached for this light skirt. It's a fun leopard print and it's great in the heat and humidity! Also nice and comfortable for the school run, working from home, a bit of driving around to take my son to an appointment, and the library after school. Big day!

I liked the simplicity of the ombre tee with the leopard skirt, I felt this outfit didn't need very much so I just added this little double strand beaded necklace and again my sorbet Balenciaga city bag. I like the different shades of pink together, with the ombre tee and the brighter pink on the Balenciaga bag.

Last worn: ombre pink tee, beaded necklace, leopard print skirt, tan slides, Balenciaga sorbet city bag (above).

Other ways to wearombre pink tee, leopard print skirt and denim jacket, tan slides and maxi skirtBalenciaga sorbet city bag worn 30 ways.

Perfect for pregnancyBalenciaga sorbet city bag in second trimester.

Textured Pencil Skirt Office Outfits

Two office outfits with textured pencil skirts and some fun prints. I feel with the mostly neutral colour schemes these are a bit plain and they aren't my favourite outfits, but they did work for recent office days.

What I wore:

EarringsMimco silver stud earrings
Tank: Target ruffle sleeve dog print blouse
Skirt: Target textured silver pencil skirt
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bracelets: the usual plus purple Salvatore Ferragamo 'Vara' leather bow bracelet
BagBalenciaga raisin purple 2009 giant silver G21 hardware work bag

Why I wore it:

I decided that with the fun dachshund print on this blouse that a necklace would be too much, but looking at the photos this felt a bit plain. Even with the big purple Balenciaga work bag!

This blouse is one I haven't worn in quite a while, and I decided to give it a final wear to see if it would be a keeper in my wardrobe. Definitely not a keeper, but my colleague mentioned she really liked it and wanted to use the pattern (she makes her own clothes) so I'm going to pass it on to her.

I think the purple bracelet and purple Balenciaga work bag didn't add enough to this outfit, maybe I should have added some more statement making earrings with this to make up for not adding a necklace. Not something I'll be wearing again as I'm passing the top onto my colleague now.

Last worn: Mimco silver studs, dachshund print blouse, grey textured pencil skirt, purple Ferragamo bow bracelet, Converse, Balenciaga purple work bag.

Other ways to weardachshund print blouse and jeans, grey textured pencil skirt and blouse, Converse and maxi skirt, Balenciaga purple work bag and printed dress.

Perfect for pregnancy: Converse in second trimester.

What I wore:

Necklace: thrifted Mix Apparel clover designer inspired necklace
Top: thrifted Cotton on grey tunic tee
SkirtCotton On 'Mica' mesh spot skirt in dusty pink
ShoesMarc by Marc Jacobs silver tuxedo flats
Bracelets: the usual
Bagthrifted Rebecca Minkoff vintage Cupid satchel in dark navy blue

Why I wore it:

Wasn't such a fan of this outfit either! It feels a bit plain. Even with the fun textured polka dot pencil skirt, I think this outfit was also lacking some colour. I did add a necklace to this one, but with the grey tunic top I think a bright and colourful necklace would have been better than this black and silver one.

It was good to wear my Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag again too, an opshop find from last year. I love it. I just think, like in the outfit above, that this was missing something and it's not a combination of pieces I would wear again. An okay outfit for the office, but not something I enjoyed as much. I can tell I was in a rush in the morning putting this together!

Last worn: grey tunic top, clover necklace, polka dot pencil skirt, silver ballet flats, Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag.

Other ways to weargrey tunic top and shorts, polka dot pencil skirt in winter, silver ballet flats and jeans, Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag with stripes.

Perfect for pregnancypink polka dot pencil skirt in first trimester,, silver ballet flats in third trimester.

Shorts, Tanks and Turquoise Balenciaga First Bag

Two blue tank outfits with denim shorts, recently thrifted cover ups, and my little turquoise Balenciaga First bag.

What I wore:

Jacket: thrifted no label leopard print cover up with waist tie
NecklaceRoie Designs pearl and antique gold long necklace
Tank: Kmart teal tank
Shorts: thrifted Jeanswest distressed denim shorts
Shoesblack slim Havaianas thongs
Bracelets: the usual plus Mimco gunmetal twisted bracelet stack
BagBalenciaga First bag in 2006 Blue India

Why I wore it:

Simple casual tank and denim shorts outfit for a day of working from home. I thought that the recently thrifted leopard print cover up, statement necklace and gunmetal twisted bracelet stack dressed up this outfit a little for having dinner with my sister in the evening. I wasn't too sure about the teal tank with the turquoise Balenciaga first bag, but I was pleasantly surprised when I tried this outfit combination, and I'm glad I gave it a go! I think the leopard print cover up helped break up the similar shades enough.

Last worn: teal tank, pearl necklace, distressed denim shorts, Havaianas, Balenciaga turquoise first bag. First time I've worn the cover up on the blog as it's a recent opshop find.

Other ways to wearteal tank over a dress, distressed denim shorts with yellow, Balenciaga turquoise first bag and blazer.

What I wore:

Jacket: thrifted Shein black floral print cover up
NecklaceRoie Designs coral beaded tassel necklace
Tank: Jeanswest Maya gather back tank in mid turquoise
Shorts: Jeanswest Heather Bermuda short in black
Shoesblack slim Havaianas thongs
Bracelets: the usual
BagBalenciaga First bag in 2006 Blue India

Why I wore it:

Since I liked the teal and turquoise combination above, the next day I tried something similar with this turquoise tank and the Balenciaga first bag again. I added the black denim shorts and this darker floral print cover up, which was also a recent opshop find. I didn't like this outfit as much as the one above, I felt the tank and the bag were a bit too similar. I'm glad I gave something different a try though, and I will definitely have to try turquoise with this dark floral print cover up again. Maybe not on such a hot day next time, this polyester wasn't very breathable or bearable in the summer humidity!

Nice easy outfit for the school run, working from home, and a playdate after school pick up.

Last worn: turquoise tank, beaded necklace, black denim shorts, Havaianas (above), Balenciaga turquoise first bag (above). First time I've worn the cover up as it's a recent thrift purchase.

Other ways to wearturquoise tank and blazer, black denim shorts and printed cami, Balenciaga turquoise first bag and maxi skirt.

Magnificent 8 In Maxi Skirts And Dresses

This quarter's Magnificent 8 themed post is maxi skirts and dresses, which I have no shortage of in my wardrobe! Despite it being winter here in Brisbane, I still get my maxi skirts out now and then. While they are worn most often in the warmer weather, I can easily layer them up for our snow free winters.

What I wore:

Balenciaga First bag in 2006 Blue India

Jacket: Bubblegum denim jacket
Necklace: thrifted gold large double circle necklace
TeeAtmos&Here 3/4 sleeve stripe tee in berry white
Skirtthrifted Tree of Life ochre maxi skirt
ShoesAtmos&Here tan Lola leather ankle boots
Bracelets: the usual
BagBalenciaga First bag in 2006 Blue India

Why I wore it:

I did actually wear this back in June, when it was a little warmer as it was just the first month of winter. I really like this lightweight maxi skirt on hot days, but in cooler weather it needs a few more layers. Ankle boots were a must! With the gorgeous ochre shade of the skirt, I've enjoyed wearing different colours of burgundy with it lately, so this white and burgundy striped long sleeved tee was the perfect accompaniment with it, and the denim jacket was a good layer. I definitely needed the jacket for the cooler weather of the school run, but in the afternoon when we had an appointment after school, I was able to go without the jacket and still be warm enough.

It had been a while since I'd worn this cute turquoise Balenciaga first bag, so I got it out again. I love how it looks with the orange skirt, and with only the school run, working from home, and an appointment in the afternoon, I didn't need to carry much so this was a great size.

Last worn: denim jacket, circle necklace, burgundy stripe tee, ochre maxi skirt, tan ankle boots, Balenciaga turquoise first bag.

Other ways to weardenim jacket worn 30 ways, burgundy stripe tee and shorts, ochre maxi skirt and band tee, tan ankle boots and dress, Balenciaga turquoise first bag and pink dress.

Perfect for pregnancydenim jacket in second trimester, burgundy stripe tee in third trimester.

My Balenciaga Handbag Collection

What I wore:

Balenciaga part time in black 2010 with SGH

JacketWitchery black belted moto leather jacket
ScarfJeanswest Lucille golden yellow scarf
Tee: Jeanswest Ruby frill sleeve Ric Rac detailed tee in deep iris
Skirt: thrifted pinstripe maxi skirt
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
BagBalenciaga part time in black 2010 with SGH

Why I wore it:

This was a much colder day than the one above, so warmer layers were needed! Instead of ankle boots, I went with Converse under my maxi skirt, as I had a little break during my work from home day to go cheer my son on in his sporting event. Needed comfortable shoes for a lot of standing around. With the navy tee, grey striped maxi skirt, and the black leather jacket, this outfit was cosy, but a bit dull for cheering on my son. I added the mustard scarf, as yellow and blue always look so good together and I thought it would help my son spot me in the crowd! It worked well for that.

Unlike the outfit above, I went with a classic black bag this time, my Balenciaga part time bag with giant silver hardware. I had my camera as well as a water bottle. It was quite a windy day so I appreciated the thick leather jacket keeping me warm as I stood on the side lines. And when I went back to working from home, the jersey maxi skirt and navy tee were such a comfortable outfit.

Last worn: leather jacket, navy frill sleeve tee, mustard scarf, pinstripe maxi skirt, black Converse, Balenciaga part time bag.

Other ways to wearleather jacket and dress, navy frill sleeve tee and shorts, mustard scarf and little black dress, pinstripe maxi skirt and graphic tee, black Converse and pencil skirt, Balenciaga part time bag and printed jeans.

Band Tees and Maxi Skirts With Turquoise Balenciaga First Bag

While I have been favouring my jeans so far this winter, I do enjoy wearing my maxi skirts in the cold weather too! Layered up these two maxi skirts recently with some band tees, and a pop of colour with my Balenciaga first bag.

What I wore:

double denim outfit jacket and chambray skirt kisschasy band tee balenciaga first bag sneakers | awayfromblue

Balenciaga First bag in 2006 Blue India with chambray skirt double denim jacket | awayfromtheblue

JacketCotton On girlfriend denim jacket in whitehaven
Tee: Kisschasy United Paper People 2023 tour band tee (new purchase)
SkirtNoisy May long denim maxi skirt
Shoesthrifted Adidas Superstar sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
BagBalenciaga First bag in 2006 Blue India

Why I wore it:

This band tee is a new wardrobe addition! I was so sad when Kisschasy did their final tour a few years ago, but they reunited for a series of gigs this year and I unfortunately couldn't make it. When they put the merch online though I knew I had to grab a tee to add to my Kisschasy band tee collection!

With the double denim of this chambray maxi skirt and white denim jacket outfit, I think the bright red and yellow in the graphic print really popped. Wore the Balenciaga Blue India first bag for a little extra colour, even though the outfit didn't really need it. Comfortable Adidas Superstar sneakers too for the school run, working from home and a little driving around after school pick up to run errands.

Last worn: white denim jacket, chambray maxi skirt, Adidas Superstar sneakers, Balenciaga first bag. First time I've worn the tee as it is a recent purchase.

Other ways to wearwhite denim jacket and sundress, chambray maxi skirt worn 30 ways, Adidas Superstar sneakers and stripe dress, Balenciaga first bag and shorts.

Tee: Kisschasy The Final Roar band tee
Skirt: thrifted Crossroads black ruffle hem maxi skirt
Shoes: RMK Chester black ankle boots
BagBalenciaga First bag in 2006 Blue India

Why I wore it:

This was a much colder winter day than the one above! Similar routine, with the school run and working from home, and also a little trip to the vets for Cooper. As it was a bit chillier than I had expected, but I'd already planned out this outfit to wear, I just added this cosy leather jacket on top instead of the denim jacket I had planned. It made for a very neutral outfit, with the black and white printed band tee and the black leather jacket, black maxi skirt, and black ankle boots. I think that the Balenciaga first bag really shines here as a great pop of colour!

Matching Tees To Cover Ups With Dark Jeans | Weekday Wear Link Up

For today's Weekday Wear Link Up, I'm sharing some simple jeans and tee outfits with some recently thrifted cover ups and my little turquoise Balenciaga First bag to add a little more colour.

What I wore:

grey jeans, converse, zig zag cover up pink tee turquoise Balenciaga first bag | awayfromblue

Balenciaga First bag in 2006 Blue India with pink tee | awayfromtheblue

Jacket: thrifted Cotton On navy zig zag cover up
Necklace: thrifted flat navy statement bead necklace
TeeCotton On deep v tee in washed desert rose
JeansNobody Denim Cult high rise skinny ankle jeans in charred grey
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bracelets: the usual
BagBalenciaga First bag in 2006 Blue India

Why I wore it:

Since I thrifted the navy flat necklace and the zig zag print cover up together, I knew I'd end up wearing them together, the navy shades match perfectly! Just like last time I wore this cover up, I tried a little turquoise bag to make the turquoise in the print pop out a bit more. Once again, it didn't really seem to work. I did love how well the pink tee went with the coral in the navy print though, I felt it brought that out well, and I do like all shades of pink and blue together.

Staple jeans and Converse as it was a busy day, with working from home, the school run, and an appointment at the vets for Cooper. Converse were good for all the driving around.

What I wore:

burgundy tee, floral cover up, skinny jeans, converse and Balenciaga first bag | awayfromblue

Balenciaga First bag in 2006 Blue India with burgundy and maroon floral print cover up | awayfromblue

Jacket: thrifted Cotton On maroon wanderlust floral border cover up
Necklace: Kmart black and gold double strand beaded necklace
TeeZalora Basics maroon stepped t-shirt
Jeans: thrifted Jeanswest faded black cropped butt lifter jeans
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bracelets: the usual
BagBalenciaga First bag in 2006 Blue India

Why I wore it:

I liked wearing this burgundy floral print cover up with my purple tee first time I wore it. So I thought I'd try it again with a dark tee, with this burgundy tunic and the black skinny jeans. It's not a perfect match to the colours in the print of the kimono, but I still really liked this outfit. I think the necklace was a good addition too, it took me a couple of tries that morning to find just the right necklace!

The Balenciaga first bag doesn't match anything in this outfit, unlike the outfit above, but I do love the pop of colour it adds, especially against the faded black skinny jeans.

We took advantage of the public holiday to head down the coast and spend some time with my parents. The rain arrived and slightly derailed our picnic plans, but our picnic in the lounge room was just as fun.

Last worn: burgundy floral print cover up, burgundy tee, beaded necklace, faded black skinny jeans, Converse (above), Balenciaga turquoise First bag (above).

Other ways to wearburgundy floral print cover up, burgundy tee in capsule wardrobe, faded black skinny jeans and blazer, Converse and pencil skirt, Balenciaga turquoise First bag and pink dress.

Printed Dresses and Mango Yellow Balenciaga Envelope Clutch

Adding a big pop of colour to my printed dresses for Easter weekend back at the start of April, with my mango yellow Balenciaga envelope clutch.

What I wore:

Earrings: gold pendant chandelier earrings
Necklace: thrifted yellow beaded statement pendant long necklace
DressJaase Celine autumn leaves mini dress
ShoesNovo Tawny rose gold sandals
Bracelets: the usual
BagBalenciaga envelope clutch in 2012 mangue with giant 12 RGGH

Why I wore it:

Wore this for an early Easter lunch and egg hunt with my family down the coast. I wanted to be comfortable, so flat sandals and this amazing Jaase printed dress were perfect. I thought that the yellow necklace and mango Balenciaga envelope clutch, along with the statement gold earrings, made this a little more formal for Easter lunch. But still comfortable and practical for a day full of eating and egg hunting and playing in the back yard! We actually all ended up staying for dinner as well, we had so much fun! It was a really good day.

Last worn: Jaase autumn leaves print dress, yellow pendant necklace, gold chandelier earringsrose gold sandalsBalenciaga mango envelope clutch.

Other ways to wearJaase autumn leaves print dress and boots, rose gold sandals and shortsBalenciaga mango envelope clutch and maxi dress.

Converting Balenciaga Envelope Clutch Into A Shoulder Bag:

What I wore:

Earrings: Colette silver filigree leaf diamante statement earrings
NecklaceTiffany & Co pink double heart tag pendant necklace
Dress: Kmart red flora printed wrap dress
ShoesRebecca Minkoff Georgina studded gladiator sandals in blush
Bracelets: the usual
BagBalenciaga envelope clutch in 2012 mangue with giant 12 RGGH

Why I wore it:

Wore this to church on Easter Sunday. Unlike our family egg hunt, I wasn't going to be able to leave my clutch sitting as we ran round searching the garden for eggs. So I decided to take this little chain strap I bought on ebay last year to use with my MbMJ clutch, to turn this Balenciaga envelope clutch into a shoulder bag. It was pretty good for a quick hack, as you can see in the video. Even if the chain strap isn't centred in the bag I found it worked well enough for the morning and afternoon at church. And most importantly, it let me be hands free for the egg hunt with the kids, ha!

Although the Balenciaga envelope clutch has rose gold hardware, with the silver chain strap I felt silver accessories would be best so went with these statement silver leaf earrings and little silver Tiffany necklace.

Last worn: Kmart flora coral wrap dress, Tiffany necklace, silver leaf earrings, studded sandals, Balenciaga mango envelope clutch (above).

Other ways to wearKmart flora coral wrap dress at Christmas, studded sandals worn 30 ways, Balenciaga mango envelope clutch and jeans.

Pink and Turquoise Outfits With Denim Skirts and Balenciaga City Bag

Some colourful pink and turquoise outfits I wore recently. Pairing my recently thrifted cover ups with a couple of classic Target denim skirts.

What I wore:

Balenciaga RH classic city in 2010 sorbet

EarringsA Little Bit of North blue mandala earrings
Jacket: thrifted no label tropical print tassel cover up
Necklace: Jeanswest Taryn turquoise tassel bead necklace
Tank: Jeanswest Maji metallic tank in soft green and silver
Skirt: thrifted Target black stretch denim skirt
Shoesthrifted Adidas Superstar sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
BagBalenciaga RH classic city in 2010 sorbet

Why I wore it:

The perfect comfy Sunday outfit! A simple tank, denim skirt, Superstar sneakers, and a very cute and colourful cover up. We had a quiet morning, and in the afternoon headed out to a mum's group event at a café we hadn't been to before. We will definitely be back, I enjoyed the location and conversation and the kids loved all of the fun things to explore.

With this bright cover up, I went a little matchy-matchy with the turquoise tassel necklace. The blue earrings hadn't been worn in a while and were also a good match to the blue in the print. Last time I wore this cover up I paired it with pink, so I picked a bright pink bag, this Balenciaga sorbet city, which I absolutely loved the colour combination of. Handy for all our water bottles when we went out too!

Last worn: blue earrings, printed tassel trim cover up, metallic tank, tassel necklace, black denim skirt, Adidas Superstar sneakers, Balenciaga sorbet city bag.

Other ways to wearprinted tassel trim cover up and white denim, metallic tank and printed shorts, black denim skirt and printed tee, Adidas Superstar sneakers and floral dress, Balenciaga sorbet city bag worn 30 ways.

Perfect for pregnancyBalenciaga sorbet city bag in second trimester.

30 Ways To Wear: Balenciaga Sorbet Pink City Bag

What I wore:

Earrings: Kmart gold circle glitter resin statement earrings
Jacket: thrifted Kmart blue and pink palm print cover up
Necklace: thrifted wood and marble bead thrifted necklace with white string
Tank: Jeanswest Maya gather back tank in mid turquoise
Skirt: Target classic denim skirt in white
ShoesSketchers Bountiful navy fabric sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
BagBalenciaga RH classic city in 2010 sorbet

Why I wore it:

Again with the turquoise and pink! I really love this combination, and the cover up makes it so easy to wear that combination, having both the colours in the print! Wore another classic target denim skirt, a white one this time, and a brighter tank, this turquoise one that was overdue a wear. I really like how bright this outfit was. I stuck with comfortable sneakers as after the school run and working from home we had a couple of errands to run.

I got to surprise my son at his event at school in the afternoon by wrapping up work a little early. Wearing this bright outfit he certainly couldn't miss me standing on the side-lines! The gold glitter earrings were a fun neutral with all that colour, and this nude necklace seemed the best choice to pair with the bright colours.

Last worn: palm print cover up, gold glitter earrings, wood and clay necklace, turquoise tank, white Target denim skirt, Sketchers, Balenciaga sorbet city (above).

Other ways to wearpalm print cover up and navy tee, turquoise tank and maxi skirt, white Target denim skirt with orangeSketchers and shorts, Balenciaga sorbet city and dress.
