Blue Printed Dresses and Pink Crossbody Bags

Enjoying warmer spring weekends in two different blue printed dresses, both accessorised with little pink crossbody bags.

What I wore:

Bracelets: the usual plus silver and turquoise bracelet stack
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff MAB crossbody with studs in desert rose

Why I wore it:

Wore this for lunch at my parent's place down the coast. My sister got me this dress for Christmas and it's so beautiful! First time I've worn it with this Rebecca Minkoff studded MAB crossbody bag, but I liked the muted pink with the pale blue print of the dress. Sadly did manage to spill food on this dress, but thankfully it washed off! And given that this is the fourth time I've worn this dress I'm surprised it hasn't been spilled on more often already, ha!

Added silver statement earrings with this rather than a necklace, although unfortunately they are a little hard to see in the photos. And just a pair of simple sandals for the heat. These ones I picked up at the opshop in winter, knowing they'd be great in the warmer weather.

Why I wore it:

Another very warm weekend day had me pulling out another blue printed dress. This one was a $2 clearance sale find a couple of years ago and I love wearing it every spring and summer! It was too hot to consider wearing anything other than this light sundress and simple sandals. We had an appointment in the afternoon, but the rest of the day was spent just enjoying the warm weather.

I really liked the pink Rebecca Minkoff mini 5-zip bag with this outfit, even though it's a different shade from the blush pink in the print of the dress and the blush pink beads on my necklace.

Printed Dresses and Polene Bag

Two easy outfits for working from home days, just throwing on printed dresses and adding a little extra colour with my lilac Polene Numero Neuf mini bag.

Why I wore it:

It was a busy day with a couple of errands and the school run to be fit in alongside working from home. I just wanted a simple outfit so reached for this dress I thrifted a while back for $1. Definitely getting good value from it! A pretty floral print dress like this is an easy instant outfit. I just added the slides I got for Christmas that I've been wearing on repeat, a couple of layered Tiffany necklaces to match the silver bracelets on my wrist, and then the lilac Polene bag for a little extra colour and because I didn't need to carry much. I really like the lilac numero neuf mini bag against the pinks and pastel floral print of the dress.

Why I wore it:

The first days of autumn in Brisbane are still pretty hot, so I wanted something light to wear. This Kmart little black tiered sundress is a favourite for hot days like this was. It was perfect for staying cool and comfortable while working from home, and taking the kids for a haircut after school pickup in the afternoon.

Navy Havaianas as I needed something easy and we weren't walking far. With the black dress though, even adding the little magenta and gold marble necklace didn't quite brighten this outfit up enough, so I wore my Polene Numero Neuf mini bag again. I loved the way the lilac stood out against the black printed background of the dress. It's not the first time I've worn a pastel bag with this little black dress, I really like the combination!

Tiered Sundresses and Red Rebecca Minkoff Studded Saddle Bag

Hope you had a lovely Christmas! We thankfully were safe from any major damage from the storms.

Today, sharing more of my tiered printed sundress outfits again. for some very hot summer days in Brisbane! I added a little red to both of these with my Rebecca Minkoff Studded Saddle bag, that I have been wearing so much recently.

What I wore:

Necklace: thrifted gold large double circle necklace
Dress: Kmart strappy tiered sundress in watercolour blue and blush print
Shoes: slim navy and pink Havaianas
Bracelets: the usual plus plus Roie Designs beaded bracelets
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff unlined saddle bag in cherry red

Why I wore it:

I really like this navy and blush print Kmart sundress, it was a Kmart clearance find years ago, for just $2! I decided to try it with a little bit of red to brighten it up even more, for a day with the school run, working from home, and errands after school pick up. I matched the red saddle bag with my little red dino skeleton earrings and a little red beaded bracelet. Even though they are all different shades of red, I liked the additions, especially with the blue background of the dress.

My navy and pink Havaianas match the print of this dress so well, and they were the best choice for such a hot and humid day!

Why I wore it:

This was a very, very humid day! My sister was over and we spent the morning finishing off our Christmas shopping, before heading out to the church Christmas festival and carols in the afternoon. This relaxed tiered sundress was the perfect light dress to wear, although I did get a little sunburnt from lack of shoulder coverage at the festival in the afternoon.

With the pretty orange pastel palm print on the dress, I thought this red saddle bag would be a good combination. And as it was a Christmas event I added the gold bauble earrings and a tiny amount of green with this fun multi coloured beaded necklace.

Picked my comfortable sneakers as there was a lot of walking around to do at the shops and then later at the event, checking out all the stalls and going on a few of the rides with the kids.
