Waterfall Cardigans, Tanks and Dark Jeans With Chloe Bags | Weekday Wear Link Up

Spring officially arrived on the 1st September in Brisbane, but we still had a couple of cooler days at the start of September which gave me another chance to wear these cosy waterfall cardigans again, with some darker denim jeans and Chloe bags.

Necklace: Kmart blue multi-colour beaded necklace
TankAsos satin singlet in pink
JeansNobody Denim Cult high rise skinny ankle jeans in charred grey
ShoesNew Balance Coast women's running shoe in black
BagChloe periwinkle small Paraty

Why I wore it:

Wore this for a very relaxed day! It was a pupil free day, so a morning free from the school run! I planned to work from home and take the kids to the library afterwards - this jeans and tank outfit was perfect, the cosy navy waterfall cardigan is so comfortable and kept me warm. My mum and sister looked after the kids when I worked and treated us to lunch which was nice, as well as taking the boys out for a few adventures.

I felt this satin pink tank was overdue another wear and I really do like it with navy! Added even more blue with the wooden bead necklace and periwinkle Chloe Paraty bag.

These charcoal Nobody Denim jeans go with everything of course, and I picked the New Balance sneakers for their support while driving around.

Last worn: navy waterfall cardigan, blue tri colour wooden necklace, pink satin tank, Nobody Denim jeans, New Balance sneakers, Chloe periwinkle small Paraty.

Other ways to wearnavy waterfall cardigan and shorts, pink satin tank and pencil skirt, Nobody Denim jeans and blazer, Chloe periwinkle small Paraty and maxi dress.

Perfect for pregnancypink satin tank and hidden baby bump.

Jeans: thrifted Jeanswest faded black cropped butt lifter jeans
Shoesthrifted Adidas Superstar sneakers
BagChloe Marcie medium shoulder bag in nut

Why I wore it:

This is exactly the same cardigan as the one above, just in red, because I couldn't decide between the two colours when I bought them a few years back. I am glad I have both in my wardrobe, even though this red one hasn't been worn as much as the navy one above, that I've hit 30 wears with. I do love wearing this red cardigan with neutrals though to let it really shine! The brown printed tank was a great pairing with it, and the faded black jeans, a $1 opshop find, go with everything.

Again I went with sneakers, my comfortable Adidas Superstar ones, for the school run, helping in my son's classroom and a few errands after school. We had to go buy a few little special snacks for the upcoming playdate we had on the weekend.

Although the rose gold necklace is a different tone from the gold hardware on the Chloe Marcie bag, I thought the two accessories worked well together, and I really liked the filigree heart with the brown print on the tank.

How You Can Wear It:

A cosy block colour cardigan is the perfect layer for those in-between seasons. A neutral like navy lets you pair it with brighter outfits, or you can go bolder with a red knit and stick to neutral shades with the rest of your outfit like I have in these two outfits.

Colourful Jeans and Cardigans With Printed Tanks

While I wore these outfits just at the end of August, I was enjoying the warmer spring-like temps that were arriving just before the official start of spring. Celebrated this warmer weather with some bright colourful jeans outfits, and two cute printed tanks.

What I wore:

NecklaceRoie Designs long freshwater pearl necklace with tassel
Tank: Sass and Bide "For Easy Reference" tank
Jeans: thrifted ASOS petite green skinny jeans
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in white
BagChloe small Ethel bag in light khaki

Why I wore it:

I really liked this green and mustard combination! I've worn this yellow cardigan with olive a few times in the past, but this is only the second time I've tired it with the bright green jeans. It felt very colourful, I was glad I'd picked out this neutral grey printed Sass and Bide tank to sit in between the colours. Tried to keep it natural with the accessories too, with the white Converse and the small Chloe Ethel bag.

The Chloe Ethel bag usually looks really caramel toned in photos, but paired with these green jeans you can see the light khaki tint to it. Perfect accessory for this outfit - and this bag fits so much more than it looks like it would. Was perfect for the school run, and after working from home and school pick up, it fitted some snacks inside for entertaining the kids before an appointment in the evening.

Last worn: mustard cardigan, pearl coin necklace, brown printed tank, green skinny jeans, white Converse, Chloe small Ethel bag.

Other ways to wearmustard cardigan and shorts, brown printed tank and maxi skirt, green skinny jeans worn 30 ways, white Converse and chambray dress, Chloe small Ethel bag and shorts.

Why I wore it:

I had the school run, and working from home with an on-camera meeting, so I debated adding statement earrings to accessorise with. I'd recently got some new hardware from my company for working from home with though, and one of those pieces was a new headset with over the ear headphones which ruled out pretty earrings, it wouldn't have been comfortable.

I can't believe I haven't worn this neon printed tank with the magenta jeans before! They are both from Sass and Bide and both the perfect matching shade of magenta. I really need to wear them together more often. It was a really cold day, and I regretted the choice of cardigan in the morning and wished I'd picked a warmer one, but I did like the grey with the magenta pink and the soft neutrals on the tank.

I got a call near the middle of the day that my son had been injured at school and I had to go pick him up. He's all recovered now thankfully! By that point in the day it was much warmer and this cardigan was the perfect layer. I did feel the cold a little later in the afternoon though when we went back to school to pick up my other son at the end of the day. Maybe a full length sleeve would have been a better choice.

How You Can Wear It:

Colourful jeans are an easy way to switch things up a little bit with your outfits. They can be really versatile and it's nice to have something a little different from the usual classic blue denim.
