Tiered Kmart Dresses with Scarves, Sneakers And Black Tote Bag

I'm finding these Kmart tiered midi dresses so perfect as the weather starts to warm up in Brisbane! Today I'm sharing two of the pink ones I have in my wardrobe, layered up with cosy scarves and comfortable sneakers for a fun weekend.

What I wore:

Earrings: Kmart lilac statement ball drop earrings
Dress: Kmart short sleeve tiered jersey dress in Fuchsia
Shoesthrifted Adidas Superstar sneakers
Bracelets: the usual plus black and gold beaded bracelet stack
BagRebecca Minkoff medium unlined tote in black with shellac studded dome hardware

Why I wore it:

This was a really sunny but windy day - I did wonder a few times if I should have added a denim jacket to this outfit, but with all the walking around we did I think I would have been too warm. I ended up taking off my scarf to give to my son to wear when he complained he was cold as it got cloudy in the afternoon and he hadn't wanted to wear a jacket. It was perfect weather for kite flying at the Brisbane kite festival though!

Despite the different pastel purple shade of the earrings and the deeper purple in the print on the scarf, I really liked these accessories together! The purple looks great with the fuchsia dress, and this was a nice and colourful outfit for a fun day out at the festival. We bumped into a few friends there too, so many people were there! The boys saw their friends from school and one of my colleagues was there with their family as well, was such a fun day. And of course, lots of kite flying fun! The Rebecca Minkoff unlined tote bag was perfect for carrying water bottles for everyone, although I did also have the big reusable tote with a blanket in it for the small amount of time we spent sitting down on the grass.

Last worn: purple print scarf, purple earrings, bracelet stack, fuchsia tiered dress, Adidas superstar sneakers, Rebecca Minkoff unlined tote.

Other ways to wearpurple print scarf and cobalt knit, fuchsia tiered dress and denim jacket, Adidas superstar sneakers and jeans, Rebecca Minkoff unlined tote and chambray dress.

Why I wore it:

This was a slightly less fun day for the kids - they both had the dentist! It was a much warmer day than the day above, so I did regret having such a cosy scarf when we went for a little opshop after the dentist. I'd planned to let the kids pick out a couple of books for being so well behaved at the dentist, but strangely there were no kids books - I think the opshop was in the process of moving things around, and we just couldn't find them with all the Saturday shopping crowd.

Scarf did double up well as a comfort blanket for my not too sure of the dentist son though, to help him be brave in the dentist chair!

Afterward we headed out to Circonomy to have a look for some new office furniture - I've been working from home occasionally before 2020 (since I went back to the office after maternity leave for my now 8 year old son!) and the chair I had at home was starting to show its age. Managed to pick up a super comfortable ergonomic chair for just $9 which impressed my husband so much he got one too, to replace the chair he uses for working from home. Circonomy has a lot of unsold or donated office supplies, and even the kids ended up walking away with some notebooks they could draw in. Was good to have such success there after no luck in the opshop!

Last worn: heart print scarf, bracelet stack, coral tiered dress, Stan Smith sneakers, black tote bag (above).

Other ways to wearheart print scarf and stripes, coral tiered dress, Stan Smith sneakers and jeans, black tote bag and midi skirt.

How You Can Wear It:

Kmart is onto a winner with these tiered maxi dresses - they keep bringing them out in more colours season after season! On a cooler day they layer beautifully with printed scarves, and you can't go wrong with comfortable sneakers and a black tote bag.

  1. Both outfits are so cute, Mica! I love the big flouncy style - total jammy dresses! That kite-flying festival sounds like so much fun, made even better by running into friends and coworkers. Aw, poor kids - I have so much dental trauma myself, I totally get it! My dentist has a giant golden retriever named Bodie who hangs out in the office and you can request him to come and keep you company while you get your teeth cleaned. I have never done it (not a dog person), but I love the idea...if they had a cat who would sit on my lap while they cleaned my teeth, I'd be all over it!

Hope you have a lovely weekend, my friend! I'll be shipping your purse tomorrow!

    1. I love a good jammy dress and these are the absolute best. I can't resist them, but the 3 I have get worn so much! I wonder if my vets would let me bring in Cooper for support in the chair? haha! I think he'd be more scared than me with the loud noises!

  5. So glad the weather is starting to warm up! That must be super exciting. You can never go wrong with a gorgeous dress. I love the scarves paired on top. So fashionable but also a great way to deal with the changing temperatures. Trips to the dentist are never fun, but I'm glad the kids made it through!

  13. I'm loving both of your tiered dresses, Mica, but the first one's my favourite due to its yummy colour! The kite festival sounds lovely. I've never went to one but watched one from a nearby beach when we were in Wales. The boys certainly deserved a treat after the dentist, I always give myself one as well after each visit :-) xxx
