What I wore:
Earrings: Kmart blue fringe crescent statement earrings
Scarf: Alexander McQueen modal skull scarf in white/pink
Tank: Asos satin singlet in pink
Skirt: Warehouse navy jacquard pencil skirt
Shoes: Walnut Melbourne 'Ava' black lizard ballet flats (also available in silver)
Bag: Balenciaga raisin purple 2009 giant silver G21 hardware work bag
Why I wore it:
While this is the first time I've worn all of these pieces together, it's not a completely new outfit. I've worn the skirt with a different pink tank here, and I've worn the jacquard skirt and skull scarf together here. I frequently wear the pencil skirt and purple work bag together too.If you're feeling unsure about what to wear, pick a piece you love (like this skirt), a piece you've worn with it recently (like the bag), and then look to other past combinations for further outfit inspiration.
Mostly I plan my outfits out the evening before, but it's usually before I go to bed so any opportunity to pull an outfit together faster makes me happy as it means I get to go to bed earlier!
Last worn: statement earrings, camel trench, pink skull scarf, pink satin tank, jacquard pencil skirt, black flats, Balenciaga work bag.
Other ways to wear: camel trench and wrap dress, pink skull scarf and maxi skirt, pink satin tank and double denim, jacquard pencil skirt and wrap top, black flats and printed dress, Balenciaga work bag for YouTube event.
Perfect for pregnancy: camel trench in second trimester, pink skull scarf in third trimester, pink satin tank in second trimester, jacquard pencil skirt in first trimester, black flats in second trimester.
My Balenciaga Handbag Collection:
What I wore:
Scarf: Marc by Marc Jacobs mauve square scarf
Tank: Jeanswest Helene sleeveless textured shirt in berry
Skirt: Asos blue textured lace pencil skirt
Shoes: Marc by Marc Jacobs black logo plaque ballet flats
Bag: Balenciaga raisin purple 2009 giant silver G21 hardware work bag
Why I wore it:
I was actually surprised to see that I hadn't worn this button up tank and blue lace skirt together before when I looked on the blog - I really like pink and blue together and a button up tank is perfect for work. I ended up keeping the big purple blanket scarf on all day, it kept me cosy at my desk. I did cover up the sleeveless tank even more with a cardigan during meetings. Party to keep my shoulders covered and partly because our meeting rooms are always even colder than the rest of the office! While the pieces are different from the first outfit (except the bag which was a constant), I stuck with the same colour scheme and enjoyed this outfit just as much as the one above. Nice and cheerful for a cooler spring day.
Last worn: navy macintosh, purple scarf, pink button up tank, blue lace pencil skirt, black ballet flats, Balenciaga work bag (above).
Other ways to wear: navy macintosh and colourful pants, purple scarf and florals, pink button up tank and skinny jeans, blue lace pencil skirt and blazer, black ballet flats and a-line skirt, Balenciaga work bag and maxi dress.
Perfect for pregnancy: pink button up tank in first trimester, blue lace pencil skirt in second trimester.
Pink Tanks Under $50:
How You Can Wear It:
You don't have to stick to neutrals when you layer! Bright and colourful accessories can work well with a colourful outfit, if you stick with combinations you love. The blue, pink and purple in these outfits are colours I like on their own and together in different combinations. They look wonderful worn as a colourful trio as well.Linking up with Style On The Daily, Oh Hey Girl.

Ok, I need to look up a tutorial for how to tie a scarf like you have in the second pic! I know I've done it in the past but I already forgot! That's smart to plan your outfits the night before!
ReplyDeleteGina || On the Daily Express
haha I just double it up then pull it through the loop, simple! I'd love to do a tutorial but I don't wear scarves very differently, I only have a few ways I wear them!
DeleteYou're so smart to stick with the same colorway to make different outfits easy, Mica!!
ReplyDeleteI love that you wear skirts often too---to me they are easier to fit!

What I love most about Balenciaga's bags is that they look good dressed up or down and are very utilitarian while being stylish at the same time.

Wow! I absolutely adore your handbag collection. The variety of colors and styles are so cute. I really love the color of the clutch bag. I have been carrying my clutches a lot this year but I should try one with color. You may to have to take the coin purse to a handbag specialist so you don't risk damaging it. Good luck:)
ReplyDeleteI pray you are having a great week pretty lady!
